Welcome to the Mermaid Cottage! Enjoy the two bedroom, 1 bath cute Cape ranch which sleeps 4. The master and spare both have comfy Casper queen size beds . Relax in the large backyard with a good book while gently swaying on the hammock or grilling and eating on one of the outside patios. Enjoy a relaxing outdoor shower after a fun beach day. The house is comfortable with all updated furnishings, hardwood floors, stainless appliances and granite countertops. The cottage is fully air conditioned for those steamy summer days. Basic spices and paper goods (TP, papertowel, plastic bags etc.) provided.
No need to bring your beach chairs or even beach toys! The house is fully equipped- even board games and paperbacks for a rainy afternoon. Bring your bathing suit and beach towel and enjoy the close local beaches.
The house is located in quiet Seacoast Shores neighborhood which borders the Childs River and Waquoit Bay. There is a public boat landing with open ocean access or you can put your kayak in at one of the association entry points. Conveniently located approximately 5 miles from downtown Falmouth beaches and 4 miles from Mashpee Commons. Close to shopping, movies, beaches and the wonderful bike paths.

This beautiful home is hugely underrated in it's marketing. It was beautifully decorated and clean, clean, clean! We literally wanted to take the entire home with us when we left. It looks like it was newly renovated. Nice location. Not too crowded with barely any traffic.

A pleasant surprise was the outdoor shower. I must have missed that on the listing. Everyone wanted to shower outside after the beach, perfect!
Kristy thought of everything, plenty of towels etc...Short distance to Martha's Vineyard Ferry, and great restaurants downtown.
Our favorite afternoon activity was bringing chairs to the Old Solver Beach after hours for the beautiful sunset. parking lot is open/free after 5. The water was warm and sand soft. Bonus "no risk of sharks :-)

The cottage is well-appointed, very clean, and located in a quiet neighborhood. Big, private backyard for relaxing, dining, and grilling. Convenient location to drive to biking trails, beaches (or short walk to the small community beach), restaurants, etc. Communication with the owner was excellent! We loved it and enjoyed our stay!

Overall this was such a great stay for myself, my husband and our 6 year old boy. This is in a residential area, but there was really so much do to within 15 minutes. We really enjoyed Old Silver Beach, which was just under 20 minutes away and required to pay $20 for visitors on their public beach. It was so beautiful there and such a wonderful beach for little kids.
There are wonderful restaurants around and tons of mini golf and ice cream 😊 this really was a family vacation for us.
The house is beautiful and the owner really has thought of everything. I was so impressed with the level of thoughtfulness on what she provided.
I think the only downfall for me was the shower. I’m very tall and I generally don’t do well with small stand up showers. HOWEVER…there is a wonderful large and roomy outdoor shower. Our son LOVED IT!!!

Kristy's house is adorable! When she says all you need to bring are your clothes and a beach towel, she means it! Every amenity you can think of, she has provided! The cottage is immaculate and beautifully decorated and the back yard is huge! We will be back!

We had a fantastic stay at this cottage in East Falmouth. It’s a small place, but they have made good use of the space. The kitchen is gorgeous and the outdoor space is excellent for grilling and hanging out. It had everything we needed!

Great spot on the cape to launch you to woods hole, Barnstable and sandwich! We had a great time. House was just as described-very clean and lots of beach toys and relaxing spots in the back yard. Kitchen was very well stocked!

Sweetest little cottage
This little cottage is pure perfection! Everything you could ever ask for, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful outdoor space, comfortable beds and so much more. Did I mention so clean! My friend and her two boys loved the local beaches as well. Great getaway!

Perfect from start to finish!
My husband and I rented this property to enjoy a summer week on Cape Cod and we could not have been happier! The property was adorable, immaculate and had all the little extra touches that made it a home away from home. The location is excellent. It's in a safe and pretty neighborhood and so close to many areas to explore. We wouldn't think twice before renting it again. The communication with the host was great and everything you need to know is explained in full detail. Loved it!

Wonderful short vacation
We were so happy to see how clean and well-appointed the house was when we opened the door. The yard was spacious and kids loved the hammock. Location makes it a good base for the western side of the Cape and the ferry to Martha's Vineyard is just 15 minutes away. Would surely stay here again.

Perfect Cape Cottage
Kristy's cottage was just perfect for our family - two adults and two young children. It had everything we needed and some, was sparkling clean, and so charming. The large backyard was great for our kids to run around, and the outdoor dining and lounging set-ups were awesome. The local beach was a short walk and perfect for a laid-back morning. And the location was just great - in addition to Falmouth beaches, we took a day-trip to Martha's Vineyard, which was so easy. And Kristy was super responsive when we had questions. It's a really lovely property.

A perfect Cape Cod Cottage
This Cape Cod Cottage was perfect for our family of 4. The neighborhood beach was walkable and the house had everything you could need for your beach trip. My kids loved the hammock. The wifi worked great and the kitchen was lovely. The house was clean and modern and felt just like a beach cottage should. Falmouth is a great Cape town and we hope to return next year! Thank you.

It was perfect!! This house was immaculate,everything you need and so comfortable and clean. Hugh backyard and short walk to a cute beach so kid friendly Ice Cream boat to the sand.It was amazing.Kristy was wonderful to deal . Totally 10/10 recommend. Close to so many great areas on the Cape Cod❤️

Such a cute house with a backyard of dreams! I could spend hours in the hammock. Cute town and Main Street not far from the house. There’s a little beach area in the neighborhood that’s easily walkable and everything you need is at the house.

I rented this beautiful cottage so that I could run the Falmouth Road race . It was the perfect location for that close to everything I needed . The house was fully stocked with everything imaginable to make your visit comfortable, right down to Tupperware that I packed for the beach, beach chairs and towels ! It is beautifully decorated and has such a Cape Cod feel to it . The owner was amazing to work with !!! I plan to return next year :)

Charming and just what you're looking for!
We were so pleased to stay at Kristy's property for a long weekend. Updated, nicely decorated and well appointed, the home has everything you need. Coffee on the big chairs on the deck, dinner on the lovely outdoor table, and lounging in the hammock were just a few of our favorites! The outdoor shower is wonderful. Photos are entirely accurate. Easy drive to town, beaches, fish market, and ice cream. We highly recommend and will be back.

The Perfect Summer Cottage
The cottage is absolutely gorgeous. It's very clean and well designed. It had every single item we were looking for and MORE. Kristy thought of everything. She was extremely responsive. The backyard is very relaxing and the shed is like a treasure house. It has everything you need to spend a day at the beach. Worth every penny! We will definitely recommend it to every one we know. The cottage is cuter in person than online, of that’s possible. There appears to be a fire pit in the pics- no fire pit. That was a little disappointing. Otherwise, the place is well-equipped for a beach vacation. The yard is beautiful and relaxing. The cottage is nicely updated and is very comfortable. All new appliances. Bathroom is more updated than it looks in pics. Very easy rental and my family enjoyed our stay there. Thanks Kristy!

This is an excellent property and we are so thankful we came upon it on VRBO! Everything is exactly as advertised. Clean, well appointed (lots of clean towels, beach towels, dishes, beach gear and essentials!) and in the perfect location to explore Falmouth, Woods Hole, Cotuit and Hyannis! The location is quiet and peaceful yet close to everything you could want. A perfect getaway.
