The Starfish Cottage is just a few homes to the Pacific Ocean, with a short walk across Ocean Ave. (This is the front house on the property) - We are located about a 3 to 5 min walk to the Pier and Main Street for all of your vacation activities. Main Street can easily satisfy all of your dining and shopping needs and we are just minutes away to Belmont Shore and other destination venues. The Starfish Cottage is the back house (1bed/1bath) & the Starfish Bungalow is the front (2 bed/ 1 bath) house. They are not attached, and each unit has separate entrances. We provide a 2-car garage, with a parking spot for each cottage. The garage has a washer & dryer, beach toys, umbrella, beach chairs and beach towels. * The living room has a Flat screen TV & DVD player. Many windows that let in the natural light, celling fan. Leather lounge chair and couch that pulls out to a full-size sofa bed. Sofa Bed that pulls out. We recommend 2 Adults & 2 Kids OR 3 full adults for comfort. The Living room shares a 4-person table & counter bar with 2-person seating into the kitchen.
• The Cottage is stocked with extra bedding, pillows, towels, robes & Beach Towels for your beach adventure. No need to bring anything except your suitcase and suntan lotion.
*1 Bedroom - Queen size bed, relaxing chair for seating, tall chest of drawers and a very spacious closet. Lots of light from the windows.
*1 Bath with shower (no tub). Modern tile floors and large window.
* The Kitchen is modern with Granite, Gas Appliances, Microwave, Dishwasher, Coffee Maker, Ice Maker, Toaster. We have appointed the kitchen with every detail towards cooking and offer a Gas BBQ on the Patio. If you need something special for cooking - I am sure we can make it happen during your stay. * The property shares the middle patio with the Starfish Bungalow (2 Bed) We have many families rent both homes for 2 family stays & uniquely we have had guests of both houses, re-book for the same time in the next year. The patio has a Surfboard shower for rinsing off after surfing at the beach, large patio table, BBQ and 2 large relaxing chairs. The patio has a very relaxing vibe with the collection of plants and patio night lights for evening BBQ's.
The house is appointed with detail for a true vacation stay. We offer Free - Wi-Fi, Parking Pass, Washer & Dryer. Most of all wonderful Pacific Ocean breezes.

Main Street has many restaurants for you to enjoy or walk on the pier. Relax at the Cottage Spa or enjoy the local nursery. In the summer enjoy music @the pier. A full-service Pavilion’s grocery store with a Starbucks inside, where you may choose to order your groceries online, and have your food delivered to your door.

Beautiful cottage just a short walk to the beach.
Clean and peaceful neighborhood. The cottage had everything you need. We will be doing a repeat stay.
Stort walk to downtown restaurants. Upon arrival Kye recommended several restaurants and entertainment. Enjoyed a free concert at the park.

We stayed in the back of the house cottage and really enjoyed our time there. The cottage is super cute and clean and has a garage so you don't have to find parking and a patio area for relaxing outside. The starfish cottage is an easy short stroll to the chill,quiet end of the beach, which was great for viewing numerous firework displays on the 4th of July. We even had dolphins about 100 feet off the beach. Short scenic stroll to the pier and Main street. Good times.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at the Starfish Cottage. We walked Old Town, rode bikes and had 3 beach days. We were able to make breakfast & lunch at the cottage and then enjoy dinners out. Access to the garage was great. We will return one day!

We had an amazing two day stay at the Starfish Cottage! Kye greeted us when we arrived and made us feel right at home! His recommendations from the Surf lesson our daughter took to the restaurants we ate at made this trip one we will never forget! The stay was so delightful and peaceful. I loved the place and the area. The accommodations were comfortable and beautifully maintained, making it feel like a home away from home. The surrounding neighborhood was charming and offered plenty of opportunities for relaxing walks and exploring local attractions. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that all our needs were met. I can't wait to return for another stay. Highly recommended!

We stayed 3 nights - easy walk to beach, safe neighborhood, easy parking with on-site garage and pre-approved parking for my brother’s car on street. Kye and Elena were exceptionally gracious and informative. Kitchen worked fine for us. Outdoor small patio a big plus and weather was such we ate breakfasts and dinners at the round patio table.

(My apologies for the late review!) I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Starfish Cottage! Kye and Elena are true Superhosts who are very communicative, helpful, and kind. They don't have a ton of outrageous rules like some properties I have seen listed, either.
The cottage itself is cute, clean, and in a great location. (It felt like my private apartment!) During my stay I was able to walk to the beach in 5 minutes, or the grocery store in 10. A lot of restaurants were also walkable in the same time frames.
Overall I had an awesome time, I would recommend this property to anyone traveling alone or with a couple people. Kye was also nice enough to show me the other Starfish property (looks great!) and I would love to bring my family along there one day! If not, I would love to visit Starfish Cottage again. Thank you Kye and Elena!

We had a wonderful stay in this charming cottage. Host was easy to communicate with and checked to make sure we were happy. It's a block from a very nice beach and a short walk to the heart of Seal Beach's main street. Try Sweet Jill's Bakery, Angelo's Italian Deli for the best sandwiches, and Bruster's ice cream.

Overall everything was great. Just a heads up to note which is not noted in the Vrbo contract, there is an expectation for you to strip the bed and start the load of sheets and pillow cases. Not a big deal, just give yourself extra time if you have a plane to catch;-).
Location is great. Walking distance to the beach and all shops downtown. Our hosts were always available and easy to work with! Recommend this place to any couple.

My daughter and I stayed here and it was perfect. Very quiet, family friendly neighborhood. We were able to walk to everything. Walked at night with no problems, the beach is right there, people in the town are very friendly - we will be back! Cute little casita, I liked that we had a garage to park in. Incredibly quiet.

This cottage is better than listing says. Parking garage is a major plus. They also had everything you needed in the kitchen and plenty of extra linens and towels. Loved that they had all the beach accessories even things for the kids. Property manager was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. Excellent communication. Clean and private!

Kai and Elena were absolutely wonderful! They worked with me on our arrival time knowing I had two kiddos in tow. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a success. Such a great time at this house. Very well maintained beach cottage with lots of character. Walk to beach, restaurants and shopping. The house had everything you could possibly need including beach gear. Owners nearby and very attentive Can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful time decompressing from a big wedding in Hollywood. It felt a little snug at first but we got used to it and we were able to easily stroll to the beach/pier and many nice restaurants and shops. Communication with owner was great, very personable and responsive.

We had a wonderful time staying at Starfish Cottage over Labor Day Weekend. It was close to the beach, shopping, restaurants and the pier. We walked everywhere and everything was just minutes from the cottage. Our hosts were so polite and communicated very well! My husband and I stayed here for 6 days to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and found Starfish Cottage to be a charming place to spend that much time. It was very, very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Seal Beach is really a magical place; between proximity to the beach, town, pier and the greenbelt median, this cottage will put you right where you want to be. Our communication with Kye and Elena was stellar; if you need anything, they are only a few minutes away. We have lived in a rural location for many years but found this place to be even quieter than the country. Not sure how that happens, but there is no road or highway noise, and all of the neighbors seem to respect the Seal Beach reputation for peace and quiet.

My husband and I loved the stay in Seal Beach. The cottage was perfect for the 2 of us. Parking was not a problem as we got to use half of a 2 car garage. The owner Ky was there to greet us & show us the ropes & great restaurant suggestions. He was also very responsive when we called about batteries for the remote 😀. The only negative I can even think of was the shower was pretty small. Definitely a do again.

The cottage was great. A wonderful location, just a block from the beach. Very quiet neighborhood and you can walk everywhere. Close to all the restaurants and shopping. the cottage had plenty of space and very comfortable for 2 people. We were there 4 nights and would have liked to stay longer. There is a washer, but coin operated. A nice garage for your can and plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas. 3 grocery stores within 10 minutes. The owner was very accommodating and checked in with me to make sure everything was good. Would stay there again if we return to Seal Beach.

My family and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this rental! The owners, Elena and Kye have to be to most kind and thoughtful hosts and they roll out the red carpet for their guests. The Starfish Cottage is exactly as described and pictured on the rental website. The cottage is clean and stocked with everything my family needed to have a fun filled, relaxing vacation. The location is perfect, set in the beautiful town of Seal Beach, off the busy highway and steps away from the sand and ocean. The community is gorgeous with beach houses, restaurants and shops, just a short walk down the boardwalk. Thank you so much to Elena and Kye for a fantastic vacation, filled with memories we will treasure UNTIL we book again for next year!

This little house was perfect for the 3 of us. We could walk to the beach and to the main street quickly. It was nice not having to move our car all weekend. My only suggestion would be to maybe make the back patio for the back house and the front patio for the front house, to ensure everyone gets a place to spend time outside. No complaints though! Our stay was great and the hosts were amazing.

This property feels like a home away from home. It is a short walk to the beach, pier and Main Street where there are plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from. We parked the car when we arrived and didn't move it until we left. My only complaint is that we didn't stay longer!

This property was perfect for our little vacation. Close to the beach, and all the amenities you need for a short vacation. Kye was super friendly and educated us on everything close by. We loved how he gave all the instructions to our 8 year old and made him feel important.

Our cottage was perfect. 1-location was perfect. A block to beach, a few small blocks to the adorable Main Street and a couple minutes by car to major stores. 2-the cottage itself was adorable and had everything we needed. 3-communication with owner was timely and informative. 4-check in/out was seamless. 5- did I mention the location? It was perfect in every way! Can’t wait to stay here again!

Great owners who are very responsive to questions and concerns. Also a good location for walking to Seal Beach business district. Starfish is best enjoyed by two people, so larger groups should try to get one of the other cottages they offer.

I stayed in the half cottage which was absolutely wonderful and beautifully decorated! Kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living room with TV. One of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. I ate lunch out on the patio which had a table with chairs and umbrella, a love seat, and 2 more chairs. I could see the beach from the house which was a 2 minute walk. It was also a short walk to the pier and Main Street, my favorite places in Seal Beach. The owners were wonderful and so helpful! Friends stayed in the main cottage which was just as wonderful! I highly recommend this property! It will be my go-to when I head to Seal Beach.

To begin the hosts Kye and Elena are exceptional. They communicated with me right away when I booked my stay, and during my stay anytime if I had a question or needed anything they responded quickly. The cottage is perfect for a nice quiet stay at the beach. It has everything you need to feel at home such as wi-fi, TV, kitchen, washer/dryer, parking, comfortable bed. It’s a comfy cozy quiet little getaway that feels like home. Its a very charming and unique little gem. The location is ideal as it’s a close walk to the shops, restaurants, and the beach. This is my 2nd stay at the cottage and I already booked my next visit. Thank you Kye and Elena for making my experience at the Pineapple Cottage a wonderful and delightful experience.
