7 Men, business stay. Listing clearly stated 6 bedrooms of which 1 was separate from the home. Upon arrival we were contacted by the manager / owner, when we asked for the remote bedroom entry instructions he refused entry and claimed that room was not part of the rental. He brought us an air mattress, we unfolded it and found mice and dog feces in it. Also found a dead mouse in the bedding and pullout couch. Rotten 1/2 gallon of milk under the coffee table. We smashed a tick in a bathroom sink. Overall challenge to remain there, we did leave early.

This place was exactly as advertised. We needed it only for a place to put our head down while visiting the town. This provided just that! Thanks.

Large place with tons of creekside seating. lots of space and even an extra detached room with a heater! Fire pit was nice to use as well (check for fire bans). This was a great place to stay for our friends wedding weekend.

We had three couples stay here in early August. The location was convenient to town & the river, though a bit too far to walk in the summer heat. We liked the grassy area by the stream and the outdoor table. The bathrooms were clean & well stocked. The house was spacious, including a 'game room' with a sofa and a large kitchen table.
This is an old house that has ceiling fans, but no AC. Unfortunately, the upstairs bedrooms, hot after sunny days, did not have screens that fit properly, so when trying to cool down the upstairs after sunset, moths were coming in. The carpeting and appliances are older. They worked okay but be advised this is NOT a newly updated property.
While the outdoor table was under a roof, the roof line ended at about 5 feet tall, so several of us banged our heads getting up from our chairs, where some small hooks protruded (be careful).
Lastly, the outdoor table looks out to a 'storage yard' where there were two old hot tubs, several tables, some chairs, etc. It appears the owners use this property to store a lot of junk, outside. Once you walk past this, down to the stream, the situation greatly improves. There were several chairs & chaises by the stream, and the area had been mowed nicely, making it a place several of us went to sit & read.

Owner very helpful & responsive to issues that we had. Kitchen was not very clean, property lacking adequate supplies for number of guests that can stay there( TP, paper towels, dish soaps, cleaning products to help clean after ourselves, propane for outdoor grill).
Hot tub was awesome! Good proprty location by creek & town & walking trails.
House & property need a bit of updating of appliances, locks, screens on windows that were missing, but overall we had a good stay.
Cool game room for kids was a nice surprise.
We were told that the separate bedroom out back of house was not supposed to be used, contrary to listing on vrbo, so maybe the listing needs to be updated on vrbo website....

Clean the porches, first impressions count. Our family of 3 generations enjoyed the games that were available. We did white water rafting with Kodi Rafting and horse back riding with Mt Princeton Riding Stables both were excellent
Went fishing at Cottonwood Lake and to Cottonwood Hot Springs. Screens need to be on all windows so they can be open and box fans for each bedroom. It was warm (hot) upstairs. The cleaning staff left the mop bucket out and a bag of trash in the entrance, not the welcome you expect. The plug outlet in the kitchen by the coffee pot closer to the stove does not work. The creekside location could be cleaned up and made usable. With these fixes it would be a great place to stay.

Groom and groomsmen stayed just steps away from the wedding venue at South Main. Accommodations were perfect for our needs

Owners and maintenance were super responsive . The highlight of the space was stargazing from the hottub! However, two out of four toilets did not work upon our arrival and one of the showers did not work well enough to use. While unfortunate, the septic was frozen for many people in the town of Buena Vista so it was understandable and we were glad to have 2 working bathrooms still. The space is perfect for a larger group, we went for a long weekend trip. It was close enough to walk to town for a drink and shopping and a great location to take a day trip to Leadville for some XC skiing. We had a great time.

This Home was perfect for our girls weekend in Buena Vista. Close to the town and just a quick 15 minute drive to the Hot Springs. We were able to see tons of Deer in the backyard and truly relax. On top of that the Host was super friendly through all communication.

Had a lovely time staying at this wonderful home just outside of the main strip in BV. The location was perfect, home was in great condition, and having the river right there to relax next to was fantastic! Can't recommend this property enough!

Overwhelming pinesol smell
For the first few hours we were there. Maybe a natural cleaner with out the smell could be suggested. Lots of space and plenty of bedrooms for all of us. Close to hiking trails and South Main, grocery store and anything else you could need.

Amazing
Theis property is amazing, so much wildlife right there. The view of Mt Princeton is majestic and the stream is so relaxing. Plenty of space for our family vacation. The owner was also so responsive and accomodating. Location was really great too, only about 10 minute walk to main street shops and restaurants. We would definitely go back.

Ahhhmazing!
The property was full of wonderful wildlife...chipmunks, deer (& baby), hummingbirds. The view from back porch of Mt Princeton is just majestic and the stream too. LOTs of space on this property. Location is perfect for going down to Main street for dinners and getting to anywhere for adventures.

No air conditioner but the place stayed surprisingly cool without it. great location. loved the stream outback. relaxing. Loved the deer walking through the yard. The hummingbirds. Would stay again

Good space for a larger group
We enjoyed our stay here. As with anything, there are pros and cons. This house was large with 4 upstairs bedrooms and 1 downstairs master. Our kids stayed in the living room, as there are 3 couches in there as well as 2 more in another living area. We liked that there were doors to close to the room and a game table. The yard and driveway were large and we had plenty of space for multiple trucks, trailers, and toys. The creek was nice, but landscaping could be improved. Decor was outdated, no AC and several windows were missing screens or wouldn’t stay up, and showers and sinks were slow to drain. Towels provided, but not enough washcloths for everyone. It was clean though and stocked with essentials. There are also fans in every room. Guest contacts were super nice too! Overall, a good place to stay although updates (smart TVs, decorations, flooring) would be nice!

Beautiful Stay
We have used VRBO quite a few times. This house was beautiful, clean and had some great spaces to hang out in. My husband and I loved the master it was very spacious. My kids loved the creek next to the house, the hot tub and absolutely loved the play room.
One down side was the top to the hot tub. It was hard to maneuver since it was coming a part but thats understandable with the amount of times we used it.
We will be staying here again!

We were expecting MUCH better
We had a 5-night stay in this property, and I must say that it left much to be desired. The place was clean enough, however outside of the hot tub, and the view, the property failed to live up to its description and was downright shabby.
Upon arriving we discovered a house that was full of shabby, outdated furniture, most of which was in a state of disrepair (fabric rips, etc.), and of the 7 sofas, only 2 or 3 were actually comfortable enough that you could sit in them for any length of time.
The dishes in the kitchen were all dirty and needed to be washed before we could use them. The appliances in the kitchen were old and showing all kinds of signs of their age - chipped surfaces, broken knobs, etc. There were 2 microwaves, both broken to some extent. The kitchen was not fully stocked with everything we could need or want as the property description says. We were missing lots of things, including a door to the pantry. We had a shower curtain instead.
We had all kinds of plumbing problems. The water pressure through the house was literally a trickle out of that faucets, and even worse out of the showers, making showering nearly impossible. The septic system was in such a state of disrepair that the maintenance man had to come out to snake the drain on our second day there, and we were told that we couldn't use the upstairs toilets anymore.
Also by the 2nd day, we found that of the 9 dining chairs at the dining table, 5 of them were ready to collapse under the weight of anyone sitting in them, and one of the legs of the dining table was ready to fall off. The chairs were replaced by management from a stockpile they had in the garage.
As for other accommodations, it's not a very comfortable house to relax in. There's way too much unused furniture (a giant desk in the dining area, armoirs with old CRT TVs in them, the old TVs don't work, board games that are missing crucial pieces for being able to use them, and more!).
This house would be great if they took a second and saw what was actually there. They need to replace all the furniture - beds included, replace the outdated TVs and electronics, make sure the board games are not hopelessly out of date and missing pieces, completely update and renovate the kitchen, replace the septic system, and put in a holding tank for their well that would solve the water pressure issue.
We spent good money on this trip and did not get what we were promised. We'll be asking for at least a portion of our money back.

Lovely weekend by the Creek!
We had a great experience at this house. Very comfortable, amazing location. Hope to return.

Needs a good cleaning.
The house was very cluttered and not clean. There was so much extra furniture in the family room, that you couldn't walk through. Dirty corners, carpets, towels... The place needs a good deep clean. On the plus side, it's right on the river which was lovely.
4.1
Nice location but could be cleaner
This house is a great size and in a beautiful location right by the river. It had been cleaned before we arrived, however there was a fair amount of dust on the furniture and the linens were very old and could use a refresh. Also the listing advertises the property as 6 bedrooms, but you have to read the detail to see that the 6th bedroom is actually in separate standalone building and costs extra. The standalone building does not have a bathroom, which I didn't think was very clear in the listing.
4.1
Dirty and outdated
This property is in an ideal location but it felt dirty. It needs a complete remodel including paint, new linens, new furniture and new kitchen appliances and tableware (mismatched silverware and chipped plates and bowls). There was too much furniture. It lined every wall, there was a table on a table, and one tv had 3 DVD players that only one worked. The remotes had no batteries or dead batteries. It also needs a deep clean: drawers were dirty with food debris and hair, ceiling fans were covered in dust, rugs were old, outside edges of carpet had dead bugs, hair, and outdoor debris. Therefore this property was extremely over priced.

Would not recommend!
Sent emails on questions we had before our trip to Jennifer at the cleaning company and Evolve and never got any responses. Tried to contact Jennifer and Evolve when we arrived Sunday nite because we could not get door locked - had to contact our relative out there who came and found out information on the deadbolt lock and showed us how to use it. Had no idea how to use all the different remotes for TV, etc., no instructions anywhere so basically could not use TV. Many light bulbs were burned out, water hardly ran in kitchen sink and upstairs shower. Tried to reach Jennifer as we could not get dumpster open for garbage as it was locked - left message - finally heard next day but by that time Mark, one of the owners, had come by because he did not know anyone was staying there (was not on calendar) and he opened up the dumpster for us so we could put our garbage in it. Told him about all the problems we were having. There should should have been some type of "Welcome" information for new renters. Exterior lawn should have been trimmed and some mowing done down by creek - not a very good first impression. For the amount of money we paid, this should have been a lot higher class than what it was!
