About this cabin rental
Our well-equipped cabin sits at the end of a dead-end road on three secluded acres including rolling lawn, woodlands, and a pretty pond. You probably won't hear another car all weekend. Yet we are less than five miles from Woodstock, the cultural center of the Catskills, with its galleries, theaters, festivals, restaurants, concerts, and boutiques.
Maybe you won't get back in your car for your entire stay - you can sit on one of our large decks, or screened-in porch, or soak in the hot tub, and watch deer, wild turkey, (and maybe even a bear) stroll by. Or walk across the road for a hike on hundreds of acres of public land. In the winter, build a fire in the wood stove, or go sledding down our own hill.
Or you might use our home as a comfortable base for all the cultural and recreational activities available in the area - hiking, rafting, skiing, swimming holes, are all nearby.
Wi-fi included. See link below for dozens of more photos.
Lovingly renovated by an artist, and filled with art, the house features lots of large windows, and tons of outdoor deck space.
We're less than two hours from the George Washington Bridge - and there's even a Trailways bus stop about two miles from the house. But once you turn into our driveway, you are in another world of quiet and relaxation.
If you would like to see more photos, please contact us.

Very nice house, well equipped, clean and furnished. Enjoyed the house very much. The house is uphill quite a bit from the main road, and we had no cell service in the immediate area until we got into town, so be prepared for that. Not a problem if you set up directions with the wifi before leaving the house. But if you're looking for a nice, quiet stay this is a great option.

The property was lovely and well maintained with landscaping that fit well with the surroundings. The house layout was perfect for our group of 5 and could easily fit eight comfortably. Michael is very responsive.
We would happily stay again.

Lovely property surrounded by nature. Even more charming in person than in the pictures. Beds were comfortable, wood buring stove kept the cabin cozy, lots of peace and quiet, lovely screened porch and outdoor sitting areas. Definitely plan to return again

We had 3 generations of family (5 total). Lots of space for folks to spread out. Incredibly comfortable beds. Fully stocked kitchen. Access was somewhat tricky for my 80 plus year old mother but she was able to get in and around the house. Internal stairs are steep but the railing made it doable. Hot tub is roomy! No A/C but windows and ceiling fans made the house comfortable. House instructions are detailed and helpful. Great communication with host. This house is well-loved and a great destination.

Had a great time staying at this property. Enjoyed the hammock in the afternoon and the the hot tub in the evening. We had a few deer visitors during the day as well. It was perfect for a few days in Woodstock.

Birthday Weekend
We rented this house to have a secluded getaway with friends in a cute town in the mountains. We were looking for scenery, peace and quiet, and some great outdoors. We got absolutely everything we wanted! A quaint home with an amazing property was the perfect place to stay. The town of Woodstock is so close and just adorable. I actually tried to book the same house again for June for another birthday but unfortunately it was not available. Definitely recommend.

A few things to note
Location is great, land is beautiful. Rental has a great hot tub and a cool wood burning stove (firewood included which was nice). However, we found that the sheets were seemingly old felt sheets which were not very comfortable. Additionally, the showers had cloth curtains which began to smell after a couple of uses. Finally, if you wanted to use the tv, it's not in a location where you can.

Beautiful home in a great location
My husband, son and his partner had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. We were able to ski at all 3 local resorts. We also enjoyed some fantastic take out dinners from restaurants in the area. We cooked breakfast every morning and the kitchen had everything we needed for coffee, tea, waffles etc. We would love to return to this terrific house and peaceful location.

Idyllic house and setting for fall get-away with family
The house easily accommodated 3 adult couples with both indoor and outdoor spaces to relax. Beautiful views from every window. Sunny deck in front or shady screen porch in the back gave us lots of options for enjoying the big meals we cooked in the well-equipped kitchen. The house is also a short drive away from several beautiful hikes. One of our favorites was just across the street!

More than a cabin!
With a rustic and arty feel that suggests a cabin, this property is more of a vacation home, fully equipped, furnished and well maintained. The kitchen has everything you'd need for an extended stay, apple and comfortable bedrooms and both bathrooms feature wonderful tile.
But the aspect that really exceeded our expectations was the very beautiful and peaceful setting -- and the raised deck and screened in porch that really connected you to the outdoors and provided great options for hanging out, eating or just quietly enjoying the natural setting. Even better than the pictures. One caveat: while none of the neighboring houses are visible from this cabin, they are in earshot and don't welcome loud outside parting, especially in the later evening. If you'd like more of an outdoor party or celebration setting I'd look for something even more physically secluded. But it was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. Easy access to the delights of the town of Woodstock.
Also, be aware that the water scenes in the listing photos aren't really of this property but rather in the general area. The pond in the yard is ornamental. We saw loads of deer and on our last day a good sized bear sauntered through the property on the far side of the pond.
The owner was very responsive and accommodating. We'd love to visit this area again and would definitely want to stay at this cabin.

Family time
We were attending a wedding in mt Tremper and choose this home for our family to meet and spend time together. The house was spacious for the 4 couples. Very quiet and very well equipped. The beds were comfy. The back porch was perfect for brunch. A great place to enjoy nature. Very close to the town of Woodstock.

Even More Beautiful Than The Pictures!
Our stay at this beautiful cabin was more amazing than expected. Waking up to the sight of a peaceful pond and soaring trees out of the window, hot tubbing in the woods, and cooking with friends in the big kitchen made our trip one to remember. The porched in dining table allowed for cozy outside dinners, even in the rain. Would love to stay again!

Perfect vacation rental, the hosts have thought of everything
I rented this house with another family for a long weekend and we couldn't be happier with the property. The house is very comfortable and clean, and was exactly how it looked in the pictures. Our children are young and the large property, ample toys, hammock, hot tub, and piano kept them happy and entertained so the adults could relax. The views from the balcony are so peaceful and we loved eating our meals in the comfy screened in porch. The town of Woodstock was just 10 minutes driving away, and there are plenty of restaurants and little shops to enjoy. I've rented a few vacation houses in the past, and this was the most organized and well-stocked house I've ever stayed in. I appreciated that all the linens and towels were provided (and high quality!) in addition to all the incidentals like soaps and paper towels. It made our vacation that much more relaxing to not have to worry about those things.

Tranquility and Natural Beauty Abound!
Our family of three generations enjoyed every moment of our stay in this comfortable home surrounded by the beauty of its natural setting and amenities. The upstairs presented us with a space to enjoy one another's company or to sit outside on the screened porch and take in the landscape. (Our son fell in love with the hammock and spent a good deal of his "home" time reading in it!). Each bedroom was uniquely designed and provided our individual families with ample space and privacy. The two bathrooms were ideal for this larger group. Towels and bedding were provided.
The owners were very friendly and responsive to our emails. It is obvious that a great deal of work and thoughtful planning have gone into this home. We were extremely pleased by the results of our choice and hope to return again.

Dreamy escape from the city
The property was beautiful and the home itself accommodated 6 adults comfortably. We went into Woodstock one of the days and enjoyed the outdoors the next. There were many games, we completed a 1000 piece puzzle, and also had a huge family dinner and breakfast and ate outside on the deck. Overall, a great time!

Catskill Weekend
My companion and I enjoyed our long weekend rental at the Bearsville house with my son, daughter-in-law and two young grandchildren, which was fully equipped for our stay. It is conveniently located about 10 minutes from Woodstock, with its multitude of shopping and restaurants. We also found suitable trails for family hikes within 20 minutes drive. We had lunch at local establishments each day and used the gas grill for our evening meals, which we then enjoyed on the screened porch. Although the owner's house instructions cautioned about bears, we did not see any during our stay. We also enjoyed viewing the summer flowers and plantings around the house, and appreciated the landscaping effort involved. We certainly recommend this house as a summer rental for an enjoyable stay in the Catskills!

Just perfect
My family and I enjoyed our Christmas stay very much, it was more than we expected, everything about the house was just right and perfect in every way, the scenery was beautiful, and just like the owners, we took pride in it. I’d recommend this home to anyone who is looking to enjoy the ones their with and just reflect on what a wonderful world it really is. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the Henry’s from the Benacquista’s and thank you for trusting us in your lovely home!

Wonderful experience..... highly recommend
It was a family get away and worked out perfect for us. House is amazing surrounded by wonderful nature, And also is closely located to all the tourist attractions, wood stock, few waterfalls and some beautiful creeks and streams. Michael, the owner was very meticulous in passing on every detail to make our stay as smooth as possible, he was also very quick on getting back to us.
I would highly recommend and we ourselves are planning to go back again.

Wonderful place for families and friends
We had a fantastic time relaxing here and exploring the surrounding area. The setting is absolutely beautiful; bucolic, even. Plenty of space outdoors & very comfortable open living and kitchen area. The bathrooms were really nice, the whole house fully equipped and well-stocked, and tons of toys for our twin toddler girls to boot. They loved the hammock (as did we), and the location was great; secluded and quiet, but also an easy drive into Woodstock or to the really fun fire pit and restaurant "complex" in Bearsville proper. The whole thing brought back great memories for me, having spent summers in Vermont and the Berkshires as a kid. We went to swimming holes and lakes, grilled on the BBQ, and just chillaxed for the whole week. We live far away, but I will heartily recommend this spot to everyone I know back east and hopefully, one day, we will get to come back.

Perfect secluded escape
I spent the weekend with 9 friends in this cabin and it was a perfect secluded escape from NYC. It feels remote, but its just a short 10 minute drive into Woodstock. The garden, outdoor area and hot tub are awesome and there's loads of outdoor space to lounge around. We love cooking, and the kitchen was very well equipped with quality cookware and utensils - the kitchen really has everything! The open plan living / kitchen area design was also great for talking, cooking, lounging around in the same area. Would definitely return in the summer when we could make use of the outdoor area more. Great house with a great homely vibe!

I host a writers retreat every year, and this was our fourth year in this house, where we now feel very at home! We had another wonderful, relaxing stay. The house is gorgeous and filled with everything you could possibly need, the property is beautiful, and we LOVE the hot tub. We will definitely be back!

The house was perfect for a large family gathering with room for the kids to romp outdoors and puzzles and games for quiet evening activities. The many sitting areas , both indoors and out, allowed for small groups to engage in conversation and the stars at night were spectacular. The very explicit written directions and labels helped us take care of the home and equipment confidently. A lovely time was had by all.

This house was a great place for a girls getaway weekend for a group of old friends from college. Our main purpose for the weekend, was to have a nice place to hang out together, to catch up on each other's lives. This was the perfect location for us! We made use of all the outdoor patios and sitting areas. We especially loved the screened in porch, and enjoyed our meals there.
We were amazed at how cool the house stayed without air conditioning, even during 80+ degree days. The ceiling fans definitely helped. The outdoor hot tub was another great place to relax. All of the beds were very comfortable, and we all slept well.
Michael was very responsive and helpful. The detailed directions about the house, and surrounding area made it very easy to figure everything out. I would recommend this house in the future. Thank you!

A wonderful place to leave the stresses of everyday life and relax to all the sounds of the woods. The pictures do not show how wonderful the cabin really is. You will be deeply impressed with it as soon as you turn down the driveway. The cabin was well maintained and clean. the owners took an interest in every detail to make our stay there memorable. my wife and I are looking forward to staying there again in the future.

Six friends and I had a great weekend getaway here - the house was spacious, the hot tub hot, the woodburning fire stove roared. Henry (the owner) was responsive and straightforward, and everything was as-advertised. A seamless, straightforward, and easy getaway, I would go again and recommend to others.
