About this cabin rental
At the end a quite road, this charming waterfront cabin is a welcome retreat. Walk into an open family room, kitchen and dining room floor plan all looking out onto the crystal clear waters of Lake Nottely and Chattahoochee national forest. Rustic is not rough here, granite counter tops in kitchen and both bathrooms. Lovely hardwood floors with cozy stone fireplace. Great way to start the morning with two of the bedrooms overlooking the water. Walk out from your bedroom onto beautiful stone patio looking onto this peaceful mountain lake paradise. Third quiet back bedroom overlooks the back of the wooded lot.
From the fully stocked kitchen, walk out to large wrap around porch with grill area. Just a few steps down and you are ready for all the fun Lake Nottely provides. Swim in the clear water, boat, canoe, fish or just sit on the deck and watch the white bass hit the top water. Large dock on deep water is a rare treat. A quick ride will take you to nearby charming Blue Ridge for great restaurants and shopping. Whitewater rafting, golf and great hiking in the Chattahoochee National Forest. (Hiking trail maps available in the cabin). Canoe and rowboat are available for your enjoyment. The nearby marina offers power boat rentals. Here you will most definitely find "permission to relax".

Property was beautiful. Lakeside added to fall foliage. Would highly recommend. Easy to get to. Had all modern appliances very clean. Only hicup was the fireplace smoked, so couldn't use. Owner also could not locate the problem. Would still recommend.

Wonderful Host / Property Manager. Worked with us on making our Daughter and Son-in-law's honeymoon special. Provided provisions / supplies we requested, and allowed us to reimburse after she picked them up. Once on site, she provided ideas to the newlyweds on things to do and places to go. Made their honeymoon very special. Both parents and the couple would recommend staying at the property.

Nosey Host/beautiful view
Let me start by saying my family members have been renting this home for AT LEAST 15 years. We have had groups there small & large.
I decided to book this home almost 1 year ago, to show our friends the beautiful lake. The booking process was seamless. We even asked to add on a night & Shirley was accommodating. I did notice that I put 4 adults when I booked, which was my fault. It was 4 adults & 4 small children. I didn’t think it would be a problem. We were there September 2020 & had more than that staying there.
By the way, Shirley/the host lives DIRECTLY next door.
We didn’t get in until dark. Shirley emailed me she would leave lights on, which was thoughtful. Then, a knock at the door at 9:30 pm. Shirley brought beach towels. I am not sure why those couldn’t wait until the morning? I have 2 young kids I was trying to get to bed.
The next day our friends from Florida arrived to join us. During the day, I had my (local to Blairsville) sister’s family & parents over to swim in the lake.
I received a phone call from Shirley at 9:30pm, stating that she COUNTED how many people I had over there! I explained to her that all my family lives in Blairsville & promised they were not staying AT the home & just came for the day.
The way she spoke to me, made me feel so uncomfortable & in fact, disrespected. Then I felt like we were being watched the rest of the trip.
We spent a lot of money (to us) to have one of the least relaxing vacations ever. I feared every noise my kids made was too loud, or that I would get a phone call again if I had my family over. I have had many great family memories there, but I won’t be back.

Idyllic Location
Beautiful place to get away from it all! Sat on the decks overlooking the lake -- just read and relaxed, watching the fish jump, and ducks and geese paddle or fly by. From what one of the locals told us, however, you need to time your visit to this lake to avoid the time of year when the Corps of Engineers "draws down" the water.

Cabin was very well stocked with lots of extras like trash bags detergent soap and TP. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Loved the layout too. Cabin seemed to be well maintained and well built. Loved the view of the lake at sunrise. Would love to return in summer to enjoy some time in and on the water.

Thanks my sexy husband Savon Dennis for Dr. Jackie Dennis's wonderful surprised Birthday weekend.
The cabin on the lake and view of the mountains were impressive and delightful. The bed, bathroom, kitchen and balconies were very tidy, impeccable and lovely like a home away from home. The cabin was equipped with everything you need and the fish in the lake were biting.
Thanks Shirley of Blairsville, GA for a wonderful setting for my incredible surprised birthday weekend. We will be back.

Beautiful cabin
The pictures online do not do this cabin justice. The cabin was wonderful and the views were beautiful!

Beautiful scenery
The location, the view, and the home were very nice. But, no blinds or curtains on the main floor windows except in the bedroom. So, privacy is a concern especially since the owners live right next door. The only tv in the house is placed between the family room and the kitchen behind the couch making it very difficult to view.

Beautiful scenery, beautiful accommodations, lovely people
This setting is "drop dead" georgeous. From the deck looking East you can see the sun rise, looking to the right you can see the sunset. What a delightful sight! The house was very clean and the management was wonderful.

Cozy cabin on the lake
Beautiful scenery, just a few things to know, you have to carry your things up several steps to get in and there are no window treatments except the bathroom and bedrooms. I was uncomfortable when it was dark as anyone can see in.

Mountain Getaway
We enjoyed our stay here on Lake Nottely. The cabin was spotless. We had everything we needed. The view of the lake and mountains was perfect. Loved the short walk to the water and use of the kayaks. We hope to visit again!

The photos don't do this place justice. I booked for my sister's Bachelorette weekend - her request was a non-party location where we could go to get great food nearby but also have a place to relax and be on the lake. The house is awesome with a fantastic view of the lake and mountains. The kitchen was stocked well, and everything was clean, with plenty of space to spread out - the deck and lower porch were our favorite spots! The dock is extremely close to the house, maybe 30 feet out the back door, so very easy to bring floats, snacks and etc back and forth. The owners live in the house next door and were fast to communicate when I had questions. My only complaint for the weekend was that the owners were having construction done to build a new backyard patio (maybe a hundred feet from where we were laying on the dock) most of the day Saturday. This was slightly frustrating since they knew they had rented out their property next door to us, and still conducted outdoor construction over the weekend. Noisy tile saws and such were going on constantly right next door during our one full day on the lake, and the workers watching us swim and sunbathe made us uncomfortable. If it had been a random neighbor, it would be different and obviously out of their control, but I felt like it could have been better planned. Other than that, our stay was impeccable, and I would happily book again, and gave 5-stars for everything! Just clarify about construction noise hours before booking.

Perfect weekend getaway
The pictures don't do this place justice. There is a great view from deck and the house is in a great location. The kayaks and canoes were a nice touch. There was an awesome firepit with plenty of seasoned wood available. The house was well appointed and comfortable. The host were easy to work with. We had a great time. Thank you!
