This is a large condo complex directly next to the village near Ballhooter lift. The location could not be better. Skiing is directly outside the door and the village is a very short walk. The complex is not new (although it has been renovated) and is showing that it has some miles on it. While there were no children in our group, the complex is obviously set up to handle kids and there were many present. That said, the unit was clean and met our needs perfectly.

Condo was very dirty. The sleeper sofa mattress had what appeared to be rat feces on it. One of the rooms looked like there were blood stains all over the carpet. All of the sheets had disgusting stains, and sides of the bunk bed were very sticky. We were also not given enough towels for the amount of people we had staying, and we couldn't get more at the front desk as we booked through vrbo and not snowshoe.
There was no hot tub as advertised. You could go to split rock pools in another building, but that closed at 8pm and cost $16 per person. And no alcohol was allowed there :( The "ice" skating rink wasn't even real ice, just plastic. The advertised fireplace was just the lobby fireplace lol.
We had a group of 7 but I cannot imagine having 10 in here, it was tiny! It also said the limit by the fire marshall was 6 people on the door, so 10 should definitely not be allowed! The top bunk in one of the rooms was so close to the ceiling you couldn't even sit up in it.
Only decent part was the location - it was very close to the slopes.
Overall I feel the cost was way too high vs what we got. The condo owner really should've been more transparent about the amenities, which was very important to us.

Overall the place was great. Super comfy beds, lots of towels and able to stream for movies at night. Super convenient location for ski in/out, waffle cabin and village.

Top of the mountain, in the middle of everything, and a relaxing space; what more could you ask for!!!

Great overall lodging, nothing much to complain about, was a tad warm, and the hot water (for a shower) ran out quickly but didn't ruin our time. had plenty of space for the 5 of us, 8 would be a bit cramped. The location was fantastic, a short walk from the room, through the lodge, to the top of the Ballhooter lift. Would defiantly stay here again with a group of 6 or less

Very accommodating!
All in all this was an excellent experience. Upon checking in we discovered that a previous tenant had damaged one of the beds. I contacted the homeowner of the issue and he had a new bed put in just a few hours later. I was very impressed and thankful. We had a wonderful weekend!

Perfect location, great spot for young kids
seeing the arcade room and indoor play areas very close to the room made my two little girls extra excited! I've stayed in various Mtn Lodge condos for 10 years and this is by far one of the nicest, cleanest and upscale option if we come back to Mountain Lodge this will be my first pick for SURE!

Winter ski trip
Location of the property was good. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, the TV in the bedrooms didn’t work (probably bc of WiFi ), WiFi was extremely weak, only worked in the living room. The oven didn’t work. The temperature was either really hot in the bedrooms or really cold, always pretty cold in the living room area. Couch was very old and uncomfortable as well.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but only because the location of the condo. The skiing was great!

Get away
I brought my elderly mother for a few days to get out of the house for a different change of scenery. I received a notification 2 days before that they will be doing construction IN the unit I reserved. I had the option of money back or move to a similar unit. Given we were enroute we decided to accept the similar room assuming it was still easily accessible for my mother. We arrived and found that the whole building was under construction (which was not conveyed to me) and that the room we were moved to faced the parking lot and construction. The workers were literally working outside the window until 7pm that evening hammering and sawing. We were both getting headaches. Since we came for a different scenery, it did not make us happy at all that we were unable to open up curtains. I called to get moved or my money back. I was unable to reach the owner but reached out to VRBO. They said they would notify me as soon as they could. We had to stay that night, received a message at 1:26am that they regret to inform us that they would not be able to honor the refund request and would no longer be able to relocate us. Now we are extremely angry because we did not come all this way to stare at the walls and deal with headaches from the pounding. Finally in the morning after repeatedly reaching out for help to VRBO, we were moved to another room (granted harder for my mother to access, but thankfully we had a wheelchair with us) with a beautiful view and much quieter. I am not sure that without my persistence, VRBO would have been as helpful. We were overall happy with the room, but the furniture is not very comfortable (older sofa bed, hard wooden rocker) and my mother had issues with getting comfortable, plus the table was high with bar type stools which for both of us being short was not comfortable either. It was smaller than what the pictures portray it as so we felt closed in. It would probably be fine for those who are out all day and just come in for the evenings, but that wasn't the case for us. The kitchen was fairly well stocked and had a nice supply of towels. It felt a little spooky because we felt we were the only ones in the building. So summer/fall prior to snow is not a busy time. We won't be coming back, it wasn't what we expected and it wasn't an easy drive to get to as well as nothing to do in the area unless you mountain biked. Overall was nice, but not the most comfortable.

The accommodations were great, I was surprised by how complete the kitchen was, pretty much had everything I needed. I would definitely stay there again

It was good
Great location. Great ski and ski out. Only down fall is the thin walls-hear everything and a bus doesn’t come to the front of the hotel you have to walk to the village to get on one.

Close to the slopes but noisy and a bit cramped
My wife and I stayed in this condo for a 4 night trip with another couple. I will break the review into 2 sections of good and not so good.
- The condo has a convenient location to the slopes and to the shops/restaurants of the mountain resort. It's a short walk down the hallway to the slopes and then you are ready to ski. Once you park your car there is really no need to drive again until you are ready to leave. The bedrooms are a decent size and the bathrooms are recently updated. The water gets hot quickly but be careful as it can get dangerously hot. The kitchen is pretty well stocked but could use a few things such as measuring cups and scissors. The condo was also very clean with no issues of mildew or smoke odors.
- While the location is good for the slopes it is also located in between the arcades and the children's indoor playground. That means there are often kids running up and down the hall outside the condo yelling. The walls are very thin in the condo and you can hear everything in the hall and in the condos that are in close proximity. Both bedrooms also share a wall with the hallway and even have a window that looks out onto the hall. There are blinds but not curtains on the windows. Lights hung in the hallway right outside the windows meant the bedrooms stayed relatively bright. Blackout curtains are really needed in the bedrooms. Lastly the living space is shared with the kitchen which makes for cramped quarters when hanging out. There is seating for 4 people and dinning is also a bit tight with 4 people. The listing states that it sleeps six adults. And while you can sleep 6 adults it would certainly not be comfortable for everyone and sitting around the condo would be very difficult.
Overall we had a good time on the mountain and the condo was a decent no frills place to stay that was close to all of the action.

Nice condo
The condo itself was nice, but we felt like we were in a cave and it was very noisy. For one the bedrooms were right up against the outside main hallway that everyone clamps down with their ski boots and it literally sounds like they are walking through your unit. You can also hear voices right through the walls. The room is situated right between the gameroom and children’s playroom so there were children yelling and running the halls up until a good 11 p.m. The cave feeling mainly because you couldn’t open he blinds in your bedroom because everyone in the hallway could see in. If you opened the curtain in the family room it helped but everyone int the parking lot could see in. The condo was clean and the beds were comfortable. Good hot water. Also nice that you could ski out of the back of the hotel itself. We were there between Christmas and New Years and it was so frigid we ended up leaving a day early. Snowshoe village had some nice places to eat but they were pretty packed so plan ahead. Foxfire grill excellent and Cheat pizza quite good too.

Perfect location, older accomodations
This was our first trip to Snowshoe so did not know anything about the properties on top of the mountain. Mountain Lodge is one of the older properties so be prepared that everything is fairly outdated regarding appliances, etc. The owner was nice to work with and was accommodating to my questions. The location is perfect as you can simply walk out of the condo complex, put your skis on, and head down the mountain. It doesn't get much more convenient than that. The split rock pools are also included for anyone staying in Mountain Lodge so that was a nice plus to soak in the hot tub after skiing all day. The pool is directly across the parking lot from Mountain Lodge. There are no bells and whistles to the condo unit itself but is perfect for convenience to the slopes, walking around the village, and utilizing the split rock pools across the parking lot. The owner is nice to work with as well.

Clean and met all our needs
Mountain Lodge is an older building so it is all in what you want. This unit was very clean and had very comfortable beds. Our family had a great time on our trip. I would definitely book again.

Nice ski in ski out condo
This mountain lodge was nice and clean. It worked out nice for our family at a good price. You are right there at the village for dinning out no bus rides and you start end and your day skiing in and out at the lodge. Some condos say ski in and out but that depends on natural snow. This unit had its own wireless internet service which is very nice since the condo we stayed at last year didn't and if have you Verizon you are pretty much out luck for stay.
One warning don't flush the toilet while someone is in the shower. The hot water tank should be adjusted because you could get scalded. It is extremely hot.
Good stay at a good price, would there stay again.
