The Greenbrier trail is just down the mountain to Cass, WV. It was an old railroad track that was turned to a 20 mile bike, hike or horsebackriding trail. Cass Railroad is a one of the last steam locomotive trains that take you on an 11 mile ride through beautiful WV mountains.

Our 3 story Hutch is beautifully decorated with lots of charm & care to make your stay enjoyable.
When you walk in through the bottom floor, you enter a 'mud' room perfect for putting on & taking off, and storing your ski gear in a warm safe place. This is also where the full size 'new' W/D is located. You will then enter a door into the bottom level Master Suite. It is a perfect place for privacy to get away from the rest of the house, if need be. This room has a King size bed, a full desk with a phone line for computer hook up & a fax machine. There is a fireplace for romance & to warm up those chilly nights! The master bath on this level has a shower.
The middle level has a wrap around balcony for viewing those fabulous sunsets, the gorgeous views & the wildlife, deer, rabbits & even an occasional bear!
On this level is another master bedroom with a queen sized bed & a private bathroom w/ a tub. The second bedroom on this level has a full sized bed and a back entrance to the 3rd bath.
The newly renovated kitchen is fully equipped with Hickory cabinets, dishwasher, microwave & double door refrigerator w/ water & ice-maker in the door.
The dining room table has leaves & can seat 10. The living area faces the fireplace & overlooks the view down the mountain.
All bedrooms & living room have smart TV's .
The loft has 2 twin beds.
After you park right in front of the Hutch, in our private parking area, you never really have to get back in your car again until you depart. The Snowshoe shuttle service stops approx 50 yards from the Hutch & provides free transportation to anywhere from the very top of the mountain, to the Village & into Silver Creek. You can ski from that same area on the Cupp, Shay's slopes(black & double black), or the other side where there are green & blue slopes. The lifts come up at that same area. Or you may choose to walk a 5-10 minute walk down a plowed lit path to the Village.
As many of you know, Snowshoe has expanded it's terrain for this season. Two new trails have been developed, both of which will be accessed by the new Soaring Eagle Express. The new slopes have increased the total number of Snowshoe's ski trails to 59.
There is also good news for Cupp Run and Shay's, if you haven't heard. There is a midway station under construction right now, which was how Cupp Run was originally set up. This will enable Snowshoe to open Cupp and Shay's early season, as they only have to make snow to the mid station, and will open the lower half when the cold weather supports snowmaking on the entire mountain. They have also enhanced their capability to make snow on these upper slopes with new equipment.

King of the mountain... Conveniently located, great parking, the view is spectacular

The house was perfect for what we needed and owner was very helpful. We’d book again

Convenient parking and close to the action. Easy walk to the Western Territory and a little bit longer walk or shuttle ride to all of the other slopes. There was plenty of firewood and great spaces for the family to gather and enjoy each other. We had an issue with a frozen water line but it was resolved. The owner stated that she had a permanent fix coming soon, but for now, just keep some water dripping if the temperature drops.

Unfortunately we were only able to stay a few days due to a health issue which required hospitalization. The property was everything advertised. Wish we could hav completed the stay.

Have a wonderful stay at this cabin. Very cozy home that is located super close to the lifts. We were all able to walk to the ski lifts in under five minutes. Lot of restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner. Would stay here again.

This house was perfect for us! It was within walking distance to the village and some of the chairlifts so we didn’t have to go far all weekend. The house was very clean and had everything stocked to make our stay very comfortable. It was a pleasure staying at Hutch 10. We will definitely be back!
4.6
While this place may be difficult to find, it is because it is right in front of you. It is on the main drag just across from Shamrock. The property is 25 yards from the bus pickup which allows you to go anywhere between top of the mountain and silver creek....very convenient. The facility is a bit old but that contributes to the charm. It is well kept by the owners and very clean. We were cozy with the fireplace. We will be sure to check to see if this property is available for your ski trip next year!

Honestly, if you were staying at snowshoe, it is hard to beat this location for a family. Convenient to both the slopes and fine dining, as well as being well equipped for a family of six adults.

2 families stayed & we were all comfortable. Plenty of space. Kitchen was fully stocked which made cooking dinners in easy. Would definitely stay again

The house was beautiful and well stocked, easy walking distance to the village, far enough away for privacy. The owners, maintenance guy, and housekeeper were easy to reach. Unfortunately, there was a winter storm the night before our arrival and the pipes froze. Hank was on the spot immediately to insulate exposed pipes and put heaters down, but we spent the first 24 hours with no running water. The next day, he ran a water hose from the neighboring cabin so we could fill a bucket to haul in water to flush toilets and wash dishes. At this point, we expressed our concerns more deeply, as we were the only house with frozen pipes, seems something more needed to be done. On the third day, the water company came in, Hank rearranged the heaters more toward the main water source and by that evening, we had water! Pam did offer use of facilities in the neighboring cabin on this day, but by then, we had the water bucket routine down and went to Split Rock Pools to shower. Perhaps this could have been avoided with proper insulation and preparation for guest arrival, who knows, but we made it through it with a good sense of adventure! We’ve come up to Snowshoe every year for 20 years and this was a first! Overall, we had a magical family Christmas, made an awesome Snowman and enjoyed the fireplaces in the living room and master bedroom. All that being said, I would recommend Hutch 10, just be prepared and keep a good sense of adventure if arriving after a winter storm!

Great location on the mountain, not too far from the village or trails. Good amount of space for everyone.

We had a great time and enjoyed the home. We had a couple of questions and maintenance items and the response was quick and thorough.

Beautiful sunsets. This would have been SUPER awesome if conditions at Snowshoe hadn't been so poor! We love Cupp Run and it was closed during out stay as snow melted:(
We still had a great time in this cabin despite 2 broken bones and melting snow;)
4.6
A nice place to stay and clean. Spacious enough for a family. Walking distance to village and slopes. Nice to have a pet friendly place to stay in Snow Shoe.
4.6
It was a pain to go up and down the steps
4.6
Wiring of the house is off. Outside lights off and receptacles didn’t work but other than thay, great stay!!

Short walk to the shuttle or a ski in area. The house was comfortable and as described. Emailed Pam with a few questions, very helpful. Would stay again.

good location, clean home, very convenient for skiing.

Well loved, well used hut. This unit has 2 steep stair cases to gain access to the unit. There is a lower access road to load / unload. Approx a 150 yard walk to slope access. Coffe maker absent 1st day but replacement arrived.

We were pleased with our choice of accommodations in every way, with perhaps, one surprise: there are two flights of stairs from the designated and convenient parking area down to Hutch 10. But our stay was wonderful and, Hank, the property manager was very pleasant and receptive to our needs especially when my 2 ½ y.o. grandson locked the door to one of the bedrooms, preventing entry. Hank, our hero, came to the rescue. And an especially lovely feature was watching, from the upper deck, skiers and snowboarders “flying” down a slope only yards away. All ‘n all we added happy, new memories to our family album. Thank you, Jim and Pam.

House was perfect for two families. Had everything we needed and was convenient to the slopes!
4.6
Clean, exactly as advertised, comfortable beds, owner was very quick to respond to me. Would definitely stay here again!
4.6
Brought the family up to Snowshoe to ski for a couple of days. Plenty of space for 9 of us and our Schnauzer. Loved being so close to the slopes! Very pleased with Hutch 10.
4.6
Fun time. Kitchen tools suboptimal (knives in particular) and beds were creaky and worn out. Location excellent, nearly ski in and ski out.
4.6
Plenty room for everyone and super comfortable! This place had everything you need to have a great stay! Loved relaxing or walking about a block to grab a bite to eat from the 3 restaurants. The bedrooms had plenty of space for all of our ski gear but also the mud room to keep all of the equipment needed for skiing or snowboarding. We will definitely stay again. There is only one thing to note is the 3 flights of stairs to get into the unit. It’s no big deal if everyone can handle it 3-4 times a day but would be an issue for anyone that is older or with any mobility issues. The owner was great and communicated quickly for any questions we had.

This property is misrepresented in the listing. It is extremely difficult to enter and exit the cabin. The walk way into the cabin pictured in the add has been removed. To enter and leave the cabin you must go down two step areas and back up another set of steps to gain access to the main level. We rented this cabin on false pretenses and were never advised of the changes. We all had difficulty entering and exiting the cabin. My 79 year old mother decided to stay in most of the time. Carrying in and out luggage, coolers and food for the week was a task. This was a very disappointing experience. We two days early. Everyone is very lucky no one was injured in the extremely slick and difficult situation.

The stay at Hutch 10 is now a memorable family vacation. My only complaint is that there were new steps that replaced a walkway, a walkway that was represented in the site pictures that is no longer there. Unfortunately I had members of my family with limited mobility. Arriving on the coldest night discovering an iced double stairway and path, with no salt, was disappointing. Hutch 10 served us well, just wish the site represented the cabin better, for I would not probably picked this cabin, only due to a double stairway and an angled path.

Had trouble finding house because of renovation and no cell service. Once we did everything went smooth. Very well equipped home. Had everything we needed and more. Weather required us to leave a couple days early but we were glad we did. It was the worst winter storm in decades.
Thanks for the experience.

Property was just perfect for our weekend ski trip. Beautiful views, well appointed guest rooms with two working wood burning fireplaces. Location was great as well, easy walk to Village and shopping. Pam was very helpful and responsive.

House, location and overall experience was incredible! Thanks Pam!

Perfect stay. Probably the most beautiful view of any of the huts. Great porch sitting.
Absolutely perfect

This was our second time staying here. We very much enjoyed our stay. Great location, right next to western territory and across from whistle punk. Cabin is perfect for a big group and had a nice view. Will stay again! Pam was very quick to respond.

Our family and friends had a blast and would rent this house again in the future if it is available.
Very nice house that is well located just off the top of Cupp Run.

Close to Slopes!
Our group was 2 families: 2 moms and 5 teenagers. The house was roomy enough for all. Loved the fireplace and open plan living/dining room. View of mountains from the main floor is stunning. About 2 blocks away from skiing (less to Western slope)

Problems solved
We arrived, settled in, and loved it - great view! The next morning we found there were major plumbing problems - the owner, Pam, sent over a variety of people to help to no avail- she finally found a place across the street that she rented for us and we moved the next day - still an amazing view and ski in/ski out - she bent over backwards to make the best of a bad situation - we had a wonderful time all in all

Nice, Clean, Great Location
This house is in a great location - at the top of Cupp. The house was very clean and had all the amenities necessary. The rugs throughout appear to have been recently replaced and the beds were comfortable. The owner was responsible. We would stay there again.
