Beautiful Property, We had a great time at the Cabin
3 kids under 6 who loved the creek that runs beside the house. Fire pit that we used one night, they supplied the wood, that was nice.
35 Miles from Asheville so we toured the Biltmore one day. Cherokee is 15 miles away, we did a day trip there took in Indian play and village and left a donation at the Casino.. The house needs some maintenance and a deep cleaning not just turned over for next quest. The basement bedroom is very damp. I think who owns it needs to check it out..
We arrived with mice poop all over front porch. A heater was on in basement couldn’t turn off. maintenance guy came and turned off switch on electric box. Kitchen stove hood didn’t work. i just want owner to know, none of this bothered us but we have been landlords for 40 years and used a management co once that never told us stuff just put someone else in. The place is really great just needs some maintenance.
We would stay again

Loved the house. Creek was super relaxing and hot tub was clean. Great views. Wi-Fi worked great had no issues due to no cell service. Great time.
4.7
The cabin was great inside and out. The only thing was the trash process. In the email that i received said to put all trash outside in the containers. When we got to the cabin it stated that we were responsible for taking the trash to the dump which was 14 miles round trip. If you would just update the email so that the guest are aware of the process. But other then that it was a great cabin.

We had an absolutely fantastic time again at this cabin! The location is perfect - nestled by a peaceful creek, providing a secluded and serene atmosphere. Despite its seclusion, its close enough to town, allowing us easy access to activities and amenities. Plus, the WiFi was reliable, ensuring we could stay connected when needed. Highly recommend this hidden gem for a peaceful and connected mountain getaway! My family always has a great time here and we will definitely be back again!

None of the video games are working there are several appliances that need repair and there was no AC location is really nice just needs better up keep

This was a wonderful experience! The cabin was cozy and clean. It perfectly fit our large family. We loved the property, the creek was so fun to play around and explore with kids. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. Maggie Valley was a great location, good food, good fun, good hikes.

We just stayed with 13 to be close to Cataloochee for a few days of skiing. The size of home and the way it’s laid out worked perfect for our group.
Plenty of drinking glasses and coffee cups, silverware and plates (a little short on bowls if you’re planning soups or anything).
Lots of blankets and quilts to use. We had a space heater in each room to keep us warm at night. Took our own throw blankets to use when lounging and watching movies (great dvd collection too).
Brought our own bathroom toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soaps) which was a good thing.
Made good use of the game room (poker table) and hot tub was fantastic. Driveway was interesting but fine for trucks and SUV’s. Was difficult for one group with a 4 door sedan that rides low to the ground. Just a 20 minute drive to the ski slopes and Tube world. Would definitely stay here again!
4.7
The cabin was amazing. We had a family of 13, there was plenty of room. The only down side was phone service but we knew that when we rented. We had good family time.
4.7
We had to go in an clean each bathroom, they were very dirty. We spent Christmas 🎄 together for the first time in the mountains. It was beautiful up there. After we finished opening the presents, a family member saw a dead mouse 🐭 under the Christmas tree. That was very disappointing. Other than that we all had a wonderful time together. Mouse still there.
4.7
Awesome cabin! The first morning the coffee makers didn’t work, and we notified the owner. We were called shortly after, and after venturing out to Soco Falls, we came back to a fancy coffee maker with plenty of coffee. All nine of us enjoyed our stay. We especially enjoyed the creek in the back. The road getting in was a little sketchy, but we managed.
4.7
The kids loved the backyard and creek that runs through the property. We had plenty of room for 3 families. We received the check in instructions in plenty of time. The cleaning service might want to move the couches and vacuum under them. Mouse traps should be checked. I don’t like mice even if they are long dead.
4.7
We have been coming for years. We love to bring our atvs and ride from the cabin.
4.7
The cabin was nice but we had many issues! The driveway to the property was almost inaccessible for our van the ruts in the drive were terrible and
this should have been posted on description. There was a huge mice problem and yellow jacket problem. The property manager was quick at responding but they just said for us to put out mice traps provided and dropped off bee spray for us to fix the problem ourselves. The keyless entry quit working and they brought a battery and left it in the porch railing for us to replace which we couldn’t do due to no tools. The mouse poop covered the porches, patio furniture, kitchen floors and hutch. We will not be staying here again.
4.7
We really enjoyed the home. The creek was lovely, the kids enjoyed playing in it(also the adults did too). I was some dissatisfied with the cleaning of the house. The loft up stairs was very dusty, there were webs all over the bear statue. There were mice droppings several places, there was trash in the hot tub area and there were webs and lots of dust on the fan in the family area. Over all we really had a wonderful time. I would love to stay there again if the time comes. Now the road to the house was horrible, I was scared the bumps would send my daughter to early labor. It’s a beautiful home and love hearing and playing in the creek.

My family and I stayed at this cabin this past week and it was an amazing experience. We were a little worried about the driveway but it was fine if we went slow (we had a Sienna and a Lexus SUV). The backyard is absolutely stunning. The creek and backyard are so pretty and so much fun for everyone to play in. It was like something out of a story book! We even got to see an elk eating some plants and roaming through the yard one evening. The cabin itself was perfect for our group size wise. The listing is correct - we couldn't receive or make any phone calls and texting was very spotty. The wifi was also spotty. We just checked all of that when we went into town. Other issue we found out on the first night is that if everyone tries to take a shower at once, there won't be enough hot water. We had to spread them out so just plan accordingly. Everyone in our family said we would love to come back to this cabin again and I've already sent the listing to two friends. Highly recommend!
4.7
Fire pit close to the creek. Near Blue Ridge Park Way that leads to Smokey Mountain NP, or Asheville the other way. The Hill Billy Festival in Maggie Valley was cool and I was able to help out the Cherokee Nation at their casino.
4.7
First let me say my family loves this cabin. We have been staying the last 5 years every summer. The yard is big and the steam in the back is wonderful. My 9 year old woke up every morning waiting to go to the swing under the back porch. We had Elk walk by while we were sitting on the front porch. I only have 1 complaint and I hope they can take care of it and that is the mice. We had 3 in traps dead, which is good, and several more running around the dining room.
4.7
Our family of 6 had such an amazing time enjoying nature and seclusion in this home. We wanted to be close to the GSM national park, but far enough away to avoid crowds and touristy stuff. This cabin allowed us relatively easy access to the park, and a very quiet and secluded place at the end of the day.
By far, our favorite thing about the property was the creek running through it. Our children spent so much time exploring it. We came to the Smokies because our kids were wanting to find salamanders in the wild. We found countless salamanders by looking under rocks and logs in the creek. It was truly the highlight of our trip!
The basement game room and hot tub were also a big winner for the kids!
The kitchen was well stocked (minus a cutting board), and we cooked on the Blackstone griddle.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to retreat as a family!
4.7
Easy to get to. There is no number out by the road so you might pass the house. If you have low vehicle they might scrape the road. Overall the home was beautiful but is in need of a deep clean. It has too much dust and a couple cob webs here and there. Loved the back scenery, it was our favorite side of the house. The light did go out but our host got the situation fixed quick. Kids enjoyed the game room and the creek in the back. Will definitely be using this home again whenever we return to this area. Had plenty of room for all our family to be comfortable.
4.7
We had a large group from age 4 to 55 the game room ,ping pong table, creek and hot tub were a big hit with all. The sound of the creek was very relaxing while outside the cabin.
4.7
The cabin was exactly as described and beautiful. The back yard sloping down to the stream with a fire pit made for a lovely fire each evening. The swings off the back of the house was a favorite with the kids. The road has pot holes and is quite rough so go slow. There is no phone service even the Verizon described on the site. Maybe in the winter when there are no leaves you can get some on the back porch but this time of year we had to drive down the mountain for any service. The Wifi is not working. The house land line phone is also not working. We had to drive down to call and let the owner know. It took 3 days for the technician to come out. He tried to replace a router but that did not help. This was a problem for us since we planned on the very slow internet listed. So just be prepared. We were surprised we had to take our trash to the dump everyday also. But the cabin and location is beautiful. Even better than the pictures!
4.7
We love this cabin! This was our second time to stay here. The owners are easy and responsive. Can’t wait for trip #3!
4.7
The best part about this property is the location! It is far enough away to feel secluded, even though there are a few neighbors. Two of the TVs inside did not work, which we don’t watch a lot of TV but it’s nice to have something to relax you before bed at night. The home is very spacious with enough room for 14 people easily. There were only a few minor things like a breaker in the kitchen kept flipping and you couldn’t use more than two appliances at one time. The septic bubbled up out of the yard and down the hill the entire time that we were there, causing a horrible smell. I do feel that it was overpriced for the amount of things that did not work correctly, but none of those things would stop me from returning because the property itself is gorgeous. We had 9 1/2 inches of snow the first night that we were there, and it really was a winter wonderland!
4.7
A bit off the beaten path, but had everything we needed and all instructions were well communicated. The location was great for both skiing and the casino. All occupants enjoyed their stay. Thanks for letting us use your home.
4.7
Perfect getaway for Christmas. Property was beautiful. Plenty of room for a large group. Hard to get ahold of owner bc there’s no service on that mountain and Wi-Fi is too slow to make calls. No complaints. Be aware this is not accessible when the roads ice over! Only with 4x4 and chains. Property is 20 degrees colder than in town.
4.7
The heater was not working in main living area and kitchen . 29 degrees that night . Tommy that came to work on it was kind enough to lend us his portable gas heater which we used the whole time . He was great . House was dusty, microwave wouldn’t work , you could hear mice in the walls . A little disappointed this year .
4.7
Great house. The reason I gave it four stars is the internet. There is no cellphone signal and Wi-Fi was hit or miss. Overall it was a great house.
4.7
Our family thoroughly enjoyed exploring the creeks, taking hikes, relaxing on the deck and in the hot tub, and playing ping pong in the game room. The accommodations were comfortable and clean.
Holly was quick to respond to questions that we had.
4.7
The property was beautiful and the house was big enough for a large group. We saw an elk on our first day and enjoyed seeing a groundhog nearby every day.
4.7
The easiest check in and out I have ever experienced. I would recommend this rental if it's peace and quiet you are seeking.
4.7
Nice cabin…
The (basically one lane) road up was ROUGH but not STEEP, has a circle drive with plenty of parking, 4 grands enjoyed playing in the stream & creek- hot tub was clean and worked well, basement was damp- (as you’d expect)- if you use that bedroom/bath, linens and towels felt cool & damp—trust me when I say the internet is POOR along with basically no phone reception (we had 9 phones/different services) - we couldn’t get the tv in loft & basement to work-(no biggie as we played board games)…we had a glitch with the water /heater but host was QUICK to respond with a solution that worked- we did have two mice- one upstairs, one down… kids REALLY enjoyed the games in basement- we saw elk & groundhogs- > it was not expected we would have to remove all our trash (25 minutes away -before leaving) ….all in all a good vacation- neighbors are far enough away to maintain complete privacy

We had a wonderful visit and family reunion here. Situated on a beautiful creek with a great wrap around porch to enjoy the view. Road is gravely and bumpy as described but fine for most vehicles as long as it's not ice. Believe the post about wireless service though even with Verizon I had zero service beyond spotty texts. In house wireless is also sooooo slow it provided no real service. That said we were happy to get kids off phones and drove to a nearby town for brief work checkin. Biggest challenge is that while listing says it sleeps 14 it is really not currently equipped for that size group. Two top bunks are very thin mattresses so two teens opted for couches. Also very sparse kitchen supplies. No large bowls, limited silverware and serve spoons etc. Still, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend with all this in mind.

We enjoyed our stay. Three things 1. There was a very strong odor downstairs -very strong-
2. Online had 11 am checkout Our paperwork had a 11 on front page but in small print and at the cabin it has 10. 3 and last and the biggest thing was the trash - we were not expecting to have to carry trash off. This is something that should be posted online. Thank goodness our son came in his truck.
