Good location and clean room.
Code for self checkin didn't work and it took a while before it was fixed.
9.0 / 10.0
No breakfast, but the location is very good.
There is no hot water kettle, there is no way to drink hot water.
4.0 / 10.0
the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere 20 mins from Bern, next to a train station. Not very clean or comfortable and yet with a relatively high price
8.0 / 10.0
Close to station and easy check in. Also, prompt responses.
Toilet was too fancy and made sounds sometimes though it wasn't that problematic.

I liked the way the check-in is done. The room was clean, comfortable bed and hot shower.
I didn't understand very well how the lounge area worked. I don't know if I didn't have access or if it wasn't working.

The location is somewhat convenient if you are a solo traveler via train, also the parking cost was relatively cheep for Switzerland.
The hotel is so sustainable that they will repurpose your left behind waste.
It is the first hotel we had our pleasure of staying where we could sleep peacefully just knowing the fact that the staff would reuse our fallen out hair so the next visitors would have a softer bed to sleep on.
But all jokes beside after the check in we found hair on the bed on the floor and not so surprisingly in the shower. The room seemed clean if you don’t look further.
If you choose to stay here be ready to find not only hair(wich already is a shame that it was there to begin with), but also you will be surprised with collections of dust wich I can say is not a good heat isolation, as well as it doesn’t work as noise isolation. Hard to reach areas were not even tried to clean.
About the sound isolation, to say that there was sound isolation would be a huge lie, you could hear everything that the person in the neighbouring room was doing so extreme that we still remember that our neighbour went to toilet 3 times in the night.
Hotel doesn’t have staff, so everything is automated, the process felt cold and not personal.
One of our rooms was so cold that we took an advantage of extra blanket, the other room was almost a sauna.
Speaking about extra blankets, why on earth would hotel give you 2 extra blankets, but only one pillow if in a room are staying two people? So let’s count together each person had 1 and a half blanket, but only half a pillow.
Also the electrical outlets are in pretty weird places. What are those weird places some may ask… CEILING the outlets are in the ceiling. Unfortunately both of us were too short to reach them and we decided to use the only outlet that was available to us, wich was pretty far away from the bed.

Great location, easy access, very helpful descriptions on how everything works/ where things can be found. Very unique style. The room was clean and had everything we needed.

once I understood how everything worked the booking in system and where my room was for a start it was ok
no staff just a automated system that was a bit confusing had to put my country in done it 3 times always the same before it would accept it , where the room numbers was was just notices on the walls with arrows my room was outside so arrow just pointed to railway line , was water there but didn’t say if you bought it or just took it there wasn’t any prices by the stand , all just a bit confusing on a first visit would be better with at least one person there

Clean, comfortable, easy 24 hour check in, nearby to train station.

The location was 20mins away from main bern although the train station was close. My room also smelt terribly of smoke . And the breakfast said you just went to the AVEC store but the people in there didn’t know anything about it.

Room was very nice with a balcony with table & chairs. Clean. Nice view! Comfortable bed & pillows. Very easy access to Bern by train which was steps from the hotel. Convenience store at train station was good for purchasing coffee and items for breakfast.
The bed had no headboard and was in the middle of the room. I like to sit up in bed and watch TV before I go to bed.

quirky place for a short stay
the only thing missing was a little kettle to boil a little bit of water for tea or coffee

No breakfast was included neither there was any arrangement on the facility to prepare breakfast myself.
This facility is meant for extremely price conscious tourists who are content with bare minimum facilities and who can afford to live some 04 train stations away from Bern. After sunset there is no outlet or shop available from where you can buy a bottle of water or a cup of tea. There is no one at the facility to help you with the automated check in process or help you to carry your heavy luggage upstairs. I guess the owner thinks that all tourists who come here are familiar with automated check in system. Though the owner always responded to telephone calls but he could not understand even a sentence in English and it was almost impossible to communicate with him. Some passers by helped me in translation. Not a comfortable stay.

Very convenient self check-in/checkout. Good quality of the mattress.
Good situation, close to the train station
The large bed was made of 2 mattress and not practical for a couple.

Nice. Clean. Big.
Little overpriced but in Switzerland it's kinda normal.

The room was spotless and had everything you needed, except for a toothbrush. But there is a convenience store nearby, so this is not a big problem. The train station is just a one-minute walk from the hotel, and Wifi is also ok.
Because the hotel is outside of Bern, you won't get a Bern ticket for traveling inside Bern. Instead, you have to buy a ticket whenever you go to Bern and tickets for traveling inside Bern. The train to Bern comes every thirty minutes so remember to plan. But this was a mistake on my part when booking the hotel; I need to check more carefully next time.
I didn't like how hard the chair was, and I used my laptop on the bed because it was too uncomfortable to sit at the table.

Really cool concept, very environmentally friendly. Good bed, convenient location.
Soundproofing isn't great - we could hear the neighbours' conversation. A kettle would have been handy.

it’s for sure a neat building, and the quality of everything in the room was excellent.
This is a self-check in hotel (maybe only during the pandemic, not sure)—there are words arranged artistically all over the walls, so trying to find information was difficult. Also there were pictures (on the walls, on the website) of facilities I could not even find (a meeting room? à breakfast hall?). Maybe these are also closed off during Corona. there was an outdoor patio that seemed also closed. It made the stay puzzling but almost amusing, like one of those escape room games.

I can only say.... I LOVED IT - recommend from the bottom of my heart. The service, especially the Owner was super helpful, all the process was easy and the facilities in the hotel were absolutely stunning. Thank you so so much! Will definitely see you again.

The best hotel and very well located!
I can only recommend not to stay in the city of Bern, but come here, where is more quiet, and at the same time you have more in this property, than you can imagine. The best!
