Very clean, convenient to beach. Would stay here again.

We enjoyed it!

Convenient walk to the beach. The owner even provided beach chairs and a cart.
The bed was very comfortable, a must for me! The kitchen had everything we needed and plenty of space to work in.
We loved the deck and spent lots of time out there. Cant wait for our next visit.

Cute and cozy little house, I would agree with the capacity of four guests. Worry free check in, that's a plus! House was clean, still had that cleaning smell when we walked in. Good cold A/C. House had everything we needed. Coffee maker is a keurig combo with kcup and the pot. Housekeeper/Manager is very nice! She stayed in communication with us during check in and check out. Short walk to the beach access. Was able to take my fur baby down to the beach with us. Dogs are not allowed on the beach in the State Park. The State Park is very nice though, we went one day out of our trip. Had a great time on St. George Island and would stay at Bucky's again!

This house was the perfect size for 4 people: Mom/Dad + teenager and a friend. We had a small snafu at check-in, but the host was VERY quick to respond, so it worked out just fine.
House needs a little upkeep and is high-level clean, but could use a good deep cleaning. (Cobwebs on ceiling & in corners, doors, cabinets & baseboards were dirty.) Refrigerator was immaculate, so no worries there! Appliances are dated (except microwave) but worked well. Oven is a little small but preheats super fast, and the dishwasher was AWESOME... I miss the good ol' days of having a dishwasher that actually cleans dishes, and this one got the job done beautifully. The coffee maker is duel: pot or Keurig. The "12 pot" mode doesn't work, but you can make 10 pots. BUT BUY WATER FROM THE STORE: The tap water tastes as you'd expect beach tap water to taste. Not a fault of the house... just how it is on the beach. Also, there's zero pantry space, so if you plan on bringing your own food, it'll have to go on the counter... we made it work just fine. W/D downstairs also work really well.
Very short walk to an uncrowded beach, and the neighborhood is quiet. There's a wheeled beach chair cart that makes transporting loot to the beach super easy.
Best place to eat on SGI is the Blue Parrot... excellent service, too! (And they don't water down their adult drinks!!) But be advised that no coffee places open until 9 AM... so bring your own.

Really enjoyed the proximity to the beach. House was somewhat dated, but that was fine. We really ljked the deck - If weather had been warmer, we would have enjoyed the deck even more!!

My husband and I, along with a couple of our friends stayed for several days over Christmas at this fantastic little house. It was the perfect size for the 4 of us. St. George was a wonderful town and people were scarce at that time of year. The owner of the house was very communicative and he has a local contact who manages the property and she was very communicative as well. We did not need any assistance while there. The house was very easy to access and had plenty of parking. It's nestled into some live oaks so it's very private, while also being just off the main island road. The walk to the beach is about a block, but the house provided beach chairs and a cart. We grilled a couple of times on the two charcoal grills present downstairs. They have a combo Keurig coffee maker where you can brew a pot or K-pods. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. If I had to complain about anything it would probably be the low water pressure, but that's not a deal breaker for me. We cooked a lot while we were there, and the house had just about every kitchen utensil you can think of. The house also has a second refrigerator and a washer & dryer in a room downstairs. Also....the highlight of our stay was the fabulously huge deck out back that we gathered around and talked most of the day. All in all...this was a great VRBO and I highly recommend this location. The owner was very kind and offered many suggestions for things to do in the area. We will be back!

Overall good experience. This is a good bungalow home for a couple or family. It is a short walk to the beach and the owner provided nice beach chairs and a beach buggy. The kitchen has all of the necessary basics, the washer & dryer were handy, the outside area was convenient for washing off sand and washing the pets. The deck was large but not screened in.

This home is in a good location on the island. It’s an easy walk to the beach. The beach chairs provided are a nice addition, as is the outdoor shower, even though we didn’t use it. Grill worked well (bring charcoal). Beds are comfortable and A/C works well. Kitchen could use an update of cooking utensils. Oven is a wall oven and smaller than a conventional oven. Dishwasher is dated but works well, as does the washer and dryer. There was a bit of miscommunication about trash pick up so it would be wise to confirm pick up days. Overall, we had a really nice stay!

My family and I had a wonderful at this rental home. The location was great very close within a few minutes walk to a beach. The check-in was a breeze and the owner even called to give me tips about restaurants and what to do in town. Highly recommended.

We had a nice time at Buckys place, was thankful for the covered deck & patio furniture, close to beach, short walk. Overall, nice quaint place.

St. George Island has not come back from the hurricane. Very grown up and sad looking compared to 5 years ago. The home was very outdated, floors were dirty and mold on bathroom faucets. Towels dingy and ripped, same with sheets. Mouse poop in Dishes in the cabinets from not beating cleaned in so long. Balcony spindles broke and a hazard. Moved loveseat to get dogs ball and very large dried stain underneath. While there manager texted to say they were coming over to get linens out of downstairs closet, next day noticed rocks and shells were moved and taken from patio area. Left two days early because of the experience.

Nice beach house with views of the ocean! Recently updated and was super happy to see that there was no carpet! Loved sitting outside on the porch with coffee each morning with our pups. Easy access to the beach as well. Definitely recommend!

This property is nestled in native live oak trees and you drive into the protected driveway and then walk up the steps to an immaculately CLEAN house that is so comfortable. I felt like we were staying in our own private cozy treehouse.
First, it is super clean, the floors are new and wood in a light color. The house was light filled, open, airy. The paint is either new or spotless. Everything is in working order and it is not cluttered. The furniture is clean and very, very comfortable. The main room has the kitchen and living room and leads to a very large patio deck with a table, chairs and loungers. Part of the deck is covered, which is nice, because when it rained, we sat on the patio at the table, staying dry but watching the rain and the ocean beyond.
Off each side of the large great room are the two bedrooms with bathrooms. The bathrooms were very clean and had ADA height toilets. The entire house felt fresh and well taken care of. The outdoor shower was really nice to use after being at the beach.
Our large extended family stayed on another property, and it was always nice when we drove "home" to this property at night, ascended the stairs into our cozy cabin/home. We will stay here next year for vacation, for sure. It was perfect for my husband and I. We did not have other guests with us for the other bedroom, but that was fine as we put a few items in there and just enjoyed having the place to ourselves.
Also, the owner was great - he called us as we were driving down and I asked him about the coffee pot - it was a good one!
The home was decorated appropriately and there was no clutter to take up space. We felt at home and our family who stayed at another property loved coming up to visit.

Great property, very clean, and true to listing.

We had a wonderful 2 week visit, my husband,me and our two dogs. Basic accommodations and well located. As previous reviewer has stated, the house can use some TLC. Carpet, living room recliner and mattresses are due for an update. Also, most windows weren’t functional. Kind of a big deal when you want them open. Bottom line, yes we would stay again

This property was perfect for us. It was very well equipped, comfortable, and an easy walk to the beach.

Nice place located one block off the beach in a quiet area. Great communication with the owner and very easy check in and check out. While I feel the home could use a little TLC to spruce up, my key question is - would I stay again - and the answer is YES.

Easy as are all VRBO rentals

We have never been to St. George Island before! Loved the island and our beach house! Short walking distance to the beach and lots of family time! No crowds on the beach the entire time we stayed! Enjoyed the beach house! Everything we needed was available to cook and sit back, relax and enjoy family time! We will be back!!!
