This 2BR/2BA BEACHFRONT condo (Villa H-5) is ideally located within walking distance to shops, restaurants and Lighthouse Park!
The living area is bright and beachy with comfortable furnishings, flat screen TV, VCR/DVD player and CD stereo, and opens onto a furnished beachfront deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Just past the living room is a large dining table for up to 6 with additional seating at the breakfast bar. The well-equipped kitchen with Gulf views has all standard appliances and a balcony overlooking the parking area.
Upstairs is a beachfront master bedroom with King bed, beachfront balcony, TV, DVD/VCR and private bathroom with combination tub/shower. Across the hall, a second bedroom offers 2 double beds and a TV. A bathroom with combination tub/shower and laundry center is located just outside of this bedroom.
Tile floors throughout the main living space with carpeted bedrooms, there are 12 stairs to reach the main living area and another 12 stairs to reach the bedroom/bathroom level.
The Villas of St. George complex has 42 units. The community offers use of a large community swimming pool with outdoor shower, park-style charcoal grilling area, fish cleaning station and beach boardwalk. Centrally located, you will have easy access to the center of St. George Island where area businesses and restaurants are located! The Villas of St. George Island was constructed in the 1980's, and while it is a treasured piece of St. George Island history, the older architecture results in more narrow stairwells than modern day condominiums, so please plan accordingly. We were delighted with our stay at Island Vibe on SGI. The location is perfect, everything you need is walkable or bike-able, the condo is steps away from the ocean. The master suite faces the ocean with a private balcony, we slept with the sounds of the waves every night. The main floor also has a balcony. The condo was clean and had all the basic amenities, we were even able to check-in early!
The area was quite and perfect for family or a private get-away, we would definitely return!

This is an older condo unit, but it had been updated nicely.
Well stocked with kitchen accessories etc. appliances seemed new.
Beware of the stairs though there are two sets and they are steep. I’m sure the description mentioned them, I just missed it

Project manager for the exterior work needs a lesson on how to maintain a work sight. Trash and materials all across the property, not left presentable at the end of the work day. I am a retired construction project manager, my projects would never be left not cleaned up. Rental beach furniture left in stacks across the property, some left and not picked up by the rental company for over a month as I was told by other guests. Not acceptable. Yes it's winter but some attention to the landscaping is due. First impressions say a lot. My condo was nice. Sleeper sofa needs to be replaced, very uncomfortable to sit on with out doubling up the cushions. Comfortable chairs need to be added to the porches, existing furniture needs to be removed, impossible to sit comfortably on. Trust criticisms aren't offensive, guests experience of their stay is a huge asset. I'll be back next year.

We actually stayed in A-3 because H-5 was being remodeled. The communication was wonderful with Forgotten Shores and the owner of A-3 was helpful and welcoming. Great communication all around. The Villas have been newly painted with new spacious balconies. Close to the ocean and very relaxing. Our unit was very clean and comfortable. Close walk to restaurants. As a perk, we got free bike rentals through VaKay.

Great location. Steps were horrible. Very dated. Tubs need replaced due to peeling and makes it look and feel dirty. No lock on kitchen balcony door. Overall loved location but could have been more updated and locks fixed for price point.

We had a wonderful week at St. George Island staying at the Island Vibe. It was beautifully decorated and completely clean!! The owners were amazing. We had two very minor issues (a toilet handle broke and one of the tubs had a slow drain... Which could happen to anyone at home!!( And they came the same day.. even though it was late and after hours and took care of it quickly. They checked in and made sure we didn't need anything. All of the "extras" were lovely and the beds were so comfortable. We loved the two bathrooms with the master having the sink separate. Easy access to the pool and the beach. 5 stars!!

Very nice place. The tile floors and baseboards need a deep cleaning as does the top of the refrigerator. All in all though, we had a great time and the beach was fantastic.
This county does need to start recycling. We were amazed that they aren’t doing so!!

This was our first time in St George Island. Our condo was very clean and maintained. We especially enjoyed the closeness to the beach.

We enjoyed our visit to SGI! I've not been in a few years! The condo location is very convenient and beach front is always wonderful! The condo is within walking distance or a quick bike ride of several places. The beach is steps away. Sunrise and sunset can be enjoyed from the balcony! We are older and the stairs to access this condo were a challenge plus all of the bedrooms and baths are upstairs. The beds are comfortable, but the main room furniture not so much. All in all, everything is better at the beach!

The condo was great . I was shocked when we arrived and opens the door ... lol it was larger than I thought ! The picture on the site make it seem smaller . I was impressed with the cleanliness. Being beach side was amazing! We will definitely stay here or at least in the same complex again .

Easy to find, staff was very helpful. Small problems like stopped up plumbing, remote for DVD player didn’t work, had to request a new blender. But staff was there almost immediately to fix the plumbing and even brought us a brand new blender. View was wonderful and we would definitely stay there again.

Very clean unit & had everything we needed. As others have mentioned, the stairs got old by the end of the week. Especially since there is not a bathroom in the main floor. Also the unit does not have ceiling fans. We bought a little fan for the bedroom.

We had a nice spring break at the "Island Beach Vibe". The condo is nice and close to the Gulf, which we really appreciated when we were carrying our beach gear down to the beach. The condo is within a 5-10 minute walk to pretty much any restaurant on the island, which we took advantage of. We've never been to SGI until this trip, and it was nice and relaxing and not crowded at all, which was what we were looking for. The parking lot was crowded but we always had a spot fairly close to our rental, and we took advantage of the coupon for the beach gear rentals. This unit had two beach chairs that we would not have rented from the beach gear, had we known it was available. We are a family of 5 and our girls each wanted their own bed, rather than snuggling up on a full sized bed, since they are full grown teenagers. We packed up an air mattress and one of our girls stayed in the living room and deflated her bed every morning. We had some rainy weather and explored the other areas of the island and off the island, but at night when it was tv time, we had a bit of trouble figuring out the multiple remote/cable situation. A memo on how to get to normal tv would be helpful for sure! If you want beach towels, the management has those available if you ask. We just bought some at the gift shop for souvenirs. The king bed is definitely soft, so if you are in need of a firm mattress, you'll definitely want to look elsewhere, as these are not firm in any shape or form. There is an apartment size washer and dryer that is useful, and did the job. We had issues in the master bathroom with the hot water. I'm not sure why that bathroom does not get hot water, but the other bathroom shower seems to have the capability of getting hot water out of the faucets. We cooked only one night and a few breakfasts and made a birthday cake for one of our daughters, and the kitchen seemed adequately stocked with utensils and dishes and cookware. Because this condo was right on the beach, we really enjoyed our stay. Have we stayed in nicer, newer places, yes, but we weren't really there for the condo, we were there for the beach! As far as the pool goes at the condos, there were people laying out, but it does not seem like it is heated. We tested the waters, but our days were too cool for swimming other than jumpinging waves, but it seemed like a nice clean pool. We would come back again for sure!
