Teri and Lauren’s home perfectly met our family’s needs, and was exactly as advertised. We appreciated all the home comforts, from the extremely well-stocked kitchen to the beautiful pond, vegetable garden and pool outside. The communication with Teri and Lauren was exceptional from the time we booked until we checked out, and we really appreciated the binder full of helpful restaurant suggestions, including detailed notes about each restaurant, The location of the home is beautiful, and we enjoyed watching the sunset over Jenkins Creek each evening. The house is only five minutes from downtown Cambridge, but feels like you’re way out in the country. We could not have hoped for a more peaceful, comfortable home to spend a few days!

Baer Necessities is a beautiful slice of heaven…. It has everything and anything you could want. The house is pristine and spacious and also well supplied with everything you need. The outside is picture perfect with a pool, a dock and beautiful scenery right on Jenkins creek! Five stars and more!

Our family had a wonderful, relaxing time at Baer Necessities on Jenkins Creek. For birdwatchers, there are several resident herons, ducks, osprey, and terns in addition to the usual backyard birds. Crabbing from the pier amused the kids. But they preferred the swimming pool more often than not. The kitchen was very well equipped, which was a nice surprise. The fireworks at Cambridge were also a must-see event. Would totally rebook!

The place was perfect for our college friends reunion. Town was less than a 5 minute drive for restaurants and shopping, and we appreciated having the pool to escape the heat. There was plenty of room to lounge about and reminisce and play games. We loved our time here and Teri was very welcoming and easy to communicate with.

We had a lovely family vacation at a beautiful home with everything we like. It was in a beautiful creek with wildlife, a wonderful pool, the canoes and dock. Very private and beautiful property with a garden. The game room was awesome! Beautiful pond area. Everything was well keep and clean, as the inside of the home. Very comfortable and clean!! Loved the tvs in all rooms, even though we didn’t need to use most of them! We enjoyed just sitting outside and gazing at our view. Thank you Teri, for having us!

Our family of four enjoyed a peaceful stay at Bare Necessities! The house was well stocked with everything we needed for a week on the Eastern Shore. Teri communicated throughout the process, which made preparing for the stay very easy! This house is in a wonderful location and a short ride to many different attractions, but we ended up spending most of our time enjoying the dock, creek, and pool at the house. We look forward to a return visit.

This property is immaculately kept and probably the most comfortable, charming, well-stocked property I’ve ever rented. Teri and Lauren clearly care deeply about it, and no wonder - it’s a little slice of quiet, peaceful heaven on the water. We will definitely be back!

Myself, husband, 2 adult daughters, son in law and 5 yo grandson stayed for a week. We took our boat and enjoyed crabbing and fishing. Weather was a bit dreary but we still got to enjoy the pool and hot tub. House was very clean and had everything we needed, including games for the little one. The only time we left the house was to go to the grocery store. The family enjoyed it so much, we are hoping to go every year!

Like other says, clean and easy to check in. Nice breeze when in the shaded area. Not many bugs neither. loved pool, and crabbing, (not that many this year though). Didnt have luck w/ fishing @ dock. It was a nice relaxing vacation at this property.

The owner stated make yourself at home and that was very easy to do. The house was clean and had everything you could need and more. Too many kitchen items to list and plenty of games for all ages. We spent most of our time in the pool and enjoying the many things to do outside. This home is in a convenient area for site seeing/exploring. It was a wonderful week spent with family and friends!!

Amazing place!
This is the 7th VRBO we have stayed at since covid started and it was by far the cleanest and most well-maintained. The house was amazing, the pool was pristine, and the views were perfection. We spent our days by the pool (the loungers and umbrellas were perfect) and just moved into the screen room for our meals. The binder left with local menus with handwritten notes on local restaurants was very appreciated. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Great family getaway!
We were looking for a break from our busy schedules and we definitely found it at Baer Necessities. Our stay was absolutely wonderful and accommodations were just perfect. The weather cooperated so we could have windows open with constant breezes through the house. We were all so able to cook some delicious meals in the well equipped kitchen. I really loved how the pool and dock were located perfectly to allow the kids to be at either location and still in my sight. We will definitely plan to return to enjoy the property and all that the Cambridge area has to offer.
Thanks for having us Teri and Lauren! It was a pleasure to meet you at the end of our stay.

Best vacation property
The experience was phenomenal. Well maintained property with ample facilities. Amazing hosts. Communication with Teri was easy. We were given all details upfront. Check-in was very easy. Home was very neat. There were instructions on how to use all the facilities hence we did have to bother Teri. But Teri was very helpful and checked on us regularly to make sure everything was ok. Property is better in person compared to the listing photos. The area where the property is situated gives lot of privacy as it’s in the dead end of the road with creek behind and on one side of the house. The feel is like is you are far away from the urban areas but you are just 6 minutes away from the downtown. Downtown has good restaurants and coffee/breakfast places. All the places of interests is within 30 minutes. We spent some time in the downtown understating the rich history and visited the marina and the light house. Kid enjoyed the DVD collections and the music in the den. Pool and hot tub were well maintained with ample chairs and umbrellas around the pool. We spent most of the time in the pool. Kitchen has all the necessary utensils. Veranda is a great place to spend evening and morning time with view of the creek. It’s also a good place to have dinner. There is a game room in the garage with Ping-Pong and foosball tables. Overall it’s a great value package and relaxing place. The house is perfect for a fun filled family vacation. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends and plan to visit again.

Gorgeous property on the water
Fantastic stay in a gorgeous property located on the water. Property looked wonderful on line and then was even better in person. Everything was wonderfully clean and the owners provided for everything you might need! I can not say enough good things about the property and owners and we are hoping to go back there again!

Waterfront relaxation
The entire home and waterfront property is beautiful. We began relaxing immediately, watching the herons and osprey flying near the creek. The beds are very comfortable, and the family room has a great set up overlooking the water. We cannot wait to return to this lovely Cambridge home.

Lovely getaway
My 3 long time friends and I found this property when looking for a central location to meet for a quick getaway. It is immaculately kept and Teri had great recommendations for food and shopping. We’d love to come back “in season” to enjoy more of the property. Thank you for a great stay!

Wonderful location, lovely house, gorgeous views
Stayed for a weekend with friends and we all agreed the rental was one of the best we’ve stayed at. So clean, amazing views of the water and spring flowers, well equipped house. Was a chilly March weekend with some rain and lots of wind but we felt cozy inside looking out the giant windows at the river and changing weather. As the sun peeped out, walking down to dock or garden for fresh air was refreshing. Amazing relaxing and quiet. Would love to return in warmer weather to take advantage of the pool and water offerings :) Fantastic place!!

Everything from check in to check out was pleasant. The house is ideal for a family of six with numerous amenities. Access to shops and sights is convenient. Overall Teri is a great host who is very responsive.

Lovely and spotless
This property was superb! The kitchen was by far the most well equipped I’ve ever seen, with many things I don’t have in my home (I was envious!). It was impeccably clean inside and out. We very much enjoyed the waterfront view. Since it was a really cold weekend in February, I could only imagine how nice the spacious yard, screened porch, and pool would be.

Beautiful corner lot on the water
Beautiful surroundings. Very clean and organized. It's obvious the owners care about their property. The hosts were very accommodating. The home is well stocked with supplies, cooking utensils, spices, grilling tools etc. Water fowl all around you, hot tub, firewood, seclusion. What's not to love?! Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely property
We had a lovely stay at Baer Necessities. You cannot beat the view of the river in the morning- my favorite part of the weekend was coffee on the porch. Best kitchen that I've ever seen in a vacation home, and lovely decor touches throughout. Nice location, away from hustle and bustle, yet only a short distance to downtown Cambridge. The communication with Teri, the host, could not have been better. I hope we can come back in warmer weather and enjoy the pool!

Eastern Shore Beauty!
This was the nicest and cleanest VRBO property we have rented. Teri was very responsive and helpful. The home was exactly as described, only better! The peaceful, serene setting on Jenkins Creek and the great in ground pool were enjoyed by everyone. I would give this property an A+++.

Can't say enough good things.
This was our second stay at Baer Necessities. Each year, a group of "just us girls" travel to the Eastern Shore for the Blackwater Wildlife Refuge Wild Goose Chase bike ride. Baer Necessities is, was, and will be our choice location to stay for these trips. The house is incredible, the property absolutely beautiful, and the hosts responsive and accommodating. We're so glad we found this place, and we're already looking forward to next year. We highly recommend it!

Wonderful property!
The pictures do not do this rental justice! We spent most of our time outdoors, enjoying the pool and fishing off the dock (caught catfish, striper, spot, perch, eel, skate, and sting ray). The outside of this property is large and very well maintained. Beautiful water views! The pool area was great, and the umbrellas were appreciated during the heat of the afternoon. Kitchen was very well stocked with all of the cookware we could need. The entire house was very clean! Many instructions throughout the home to help with questions on electronics/remotes. Communication with Teri was excellent. Highly recommend and we plan to be back in the future!

Just What We Needed
My entire group (five adults and two kids) had a great time staying here. The house was the perfect size for us, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the owners provided a wide variety of menu options for the local restaurants. We spent a ton of time swimming in the pool and lounging in the hot tub. This was exactly the kind of vacation we all needed. We're already talking about coming back next summer.

Wonderful getaway
This was a perfect place to getaway and relax while teleworking and doing online learning. The house has everything you need and the owners are super helpful. We were pleasantly surprised with the large yard and the beautiful landscaping around the house. It was very peaceful with the birds in the morning and the wind chimes in the afternoon. Our kids loved playing in the well maintained pool. We will definitely return.

We had a very pleasant stay at Baer Necessities. House was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, in a lovely spot with a large yard and water access. Teri was solicitous, responsive, and helpful. We enjoyed taking the bicycles into Cambridge and exploring. We also spent time at Blackwater Wildlife refuge a short drive away.

The owners were very communicative and everything was as expected. The setting of the property is gorgeous and it provided a great space for us to grill with our son's team before retreating for a quiet night's sleep.
