The bathrooms had mold. The pictures look great but up close and in person the place isn’t as clean as I would like it to be. The location was amazing and the sights were gorgeous.
2.0 / 5.0
Location was great, the pictures in listing accurately depicts furnishings... bit then its all downhill... mold growing on ceilings of bathroom, couches stained and gross, the throw rug in li ing room was so dirty you couldnt see it had a pattern... nothing was supplied we had to go buy our own supplies and clean so we could stay there
4.0 / 5.0
Directions for checking in were clear and helpful. BEWARE OF PARKING! lot fills up! , as indicated, $40/day—Pay for your entire stay when you first drive in ( cash only!) we only paid for first three days— thinking we’d pay the next 4 days when we returned one evening only to discover the lot was full-nearest available lot was a long ways away!
There is a fair amount of street noise—surprising for being 40 floors up. View from living room/ kitchen/eating area is stunning. Watched fireworks, rainbows, and ocean views! Second bedroom actually has nicer view then master bedroom. Unit was clean and well maintained. Elevators were no problem—in our 8 days we rarely had much of a wait at all.
Location is good —many eating options in area. away from the big hustle and bustle of Waikiki Beach, but easy bus or 20-25 minute walk to beach or AlaMoana shopping center.
It ls listed as sleeping for 6–be aware there are two bedrooms with a double and single bed in each! Didn’t work the best for three couples—no pull out couch or hide-a-bed in living room.
All in all we’d recommend this unit.

Unit was not very clean. Black mold growing in bathrooms. Appliances in kitchen dirty from last renters. No control knobs on ac unit. Multiple slates missing from blinds through out unit. Upon entering unit, entryway flooring coming up causing trip hazard. Possible injury to feet.

There was construction going on above us for the duration of our stay. We often heard what sounded like a jack hammer.

Stay was great. Check in was real easy. Once we arrived communication with managers of property was delayed but finally got answers to our requests

First let me say that when you walk in the door the view will take your breath away! The view alone is worth the price. The location was convenient and parking was pretty good.
That said, the condo itself is underwhelming. It is definately dated.
All of the furniture is quite uncomfortable. If the furniture had been comfortable we would have had a better impression overall.
Although some in our party said their beds were comfortable mine was not (I had a twin).
The electrical outlets throughout the condo were hit or miss - some worked, some did not.
The kitchen stove needs to be replaced.
There needs to be better instructions for the 3 A/C units. The window coverings left a lot to be desired. If you leave the windows uncovered during the heat of the day you'll feel like you're in an oven. Problem is some wouldn't close so when we got home at the end of the day we were met with a blast of hot air.
The swimming pool wasn't heated so it was too cold to use. We did enjoy the 2 whirlpools although they were tepid & the jets weren't very strong. There was a very nice deck area.
I think our biggest complaint was the noise level inside the condo. You heard the traffic noise (especially the sirens) day and night. Outside of double paned windows I don't know what could be done about that.
This condo was servicable and we enjoyed our time in Honolulu. It's hard to find a 2 bed/2 bath in our price range so knowing that, we took it for what is was and made the best of it.

The owner was pleasant, helpful and available to answer questions. This condo is a bit shop worn but clean and comfortable with a good location. The food trucks across the street were fun and it is walkable to some restaurant and retail areas. Public buses are easily accessible if you don’t have a car. Compared to area hotels, this was a good value for two couples!

The host was friendly and attentive. They responded immediately to any request we had and accommodated where they could not address during our time. The unit is dated but still comfy. There is limited bath towels but there is in-unit W/D so you can easily wash them. They provide an ice chest, body boards, sand toys, beach towels, and 2 beach chairs. The grills by pool are clean. Our family enjoyed grilling and hanging out around the pool. There are 2 hot tubs but one1 did not work so it forced us to make new friends while sharing a tight space in the other hot tub lol ... I did enjoy getting to meet new people. We did see any bugs at all in our unit. There are double sinks in bathrooms, 1 full shower, and 1 bathtub with shower. The master bathroom door is a folding door so you don't get full privacy (especially if you have stinky bathroom users). Living room has one futon that would fit a kid or shorter adult. One bedroom has a california king bed and 1 twin bed. The masters has a king bed and 1 twin bed. It comfortably fit 6 of us. The unit also has the living room futon, and 1 foldable twin mat. Elevators are tricky at first. Check the floor numbers on top of elevators to determine which one will actually go up to your floor. Also, a few of the elevators DO require a key card to push the elevator floor number while some does not require it. Bring your key! Minivan fits fine in hotel ramp. Breakfast place in lobby is pricey but very GOOD! Love food trucks across the street

The place is a little outdated but that’s most places in Hawaii in my opinion but the view was STUNNING ! any room you go it is breathtaking . Kitchen are fully stocked with anything you’ll need , definitely could have used more trash bags especially it was 4 adults but not a big deal lol
The location is close to everything town side . Parking is $40 cash only which is normal for Waikiki side .
We miss it already and We will definitely be staying here again and definitely recommend!
3.0 / 5.0
We stayed here for a conference with colleagues. Since it’s on the top floor, the elevators take forever (once it took 30 min). There are three elevators but one was apparently always down (per residents we talked with) and they were always shutting down one of the other two for maintenance.
It was nice having two bedrooms and two bathrooms and the views were nice. AC was also a bonus although it’s either on or off (bring warm clothes). However the living room furniture is awfully uncomfortable.
During our stay, the water was shut down for almost 6 hours one day. We say signs about it on the day of our arrival. We asked security about this and they said there’s a planned shut down once a month (nothing new). When we asked the host about this, they were not open to discussing the impact. We were there for a conference and couldn’t shower before work… it was very frustrating to be lied to and also not have been told up front that we won’t have water access during the stay. For this reason alone, we would not stay here again.

Top notch property and location.
Well taken care of, has all the things you need.
Penthouse views are fabulous.
Close to beach, shopping etc.
Would highly recommend this property.
Would definately stay here again.

Location is great. 15 minutes to wikiki beach. Building is dated and hasnt gone through any upgrades or renovations in recent years. The things provided (shampoo, 1 bar of soap, no tissue, etc.) Have a very motel feel. Roku for streaming services was nice for kids.
5.0 / 5.0
The location definitely makes this a good place to stay. The only slight negative, which is more the actual building and not the condo is the elevators are slow and one was not working (you could only use 2 to go to the penthouse suite). The condo had everything we needed and the owners were quick to respond to a leg that was broken on the sofa when we arrived. It is two master suites, but the second room is better suited for a children's room or unrelated travelers. The view was fabulous and you can walk to everything. I wish I had trusted my gut and not booked a rental car. Parking is $40 per day and traffic was so bad, we only drove once while we were there. If we are ever back in Waikiki, we would stay again.

Booking and communication went smoothly. The condo was clean and well appointed with practically everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The views are excellent and easy walking distance to the beach, city center and Ala Moana mall.
Highly recommend this property

My family had a wonderful time here. The penthouse was beautiful and the view was breathtaking! The only complaint we had was the long wait for the elevator and sometimes it’s so packed that we had to wait for another one and it’s another long wait. Other than that, the home was beautiful and we had an fantastic time.

The check-in process was super simple and easy to follow. The property is older, but it is very clean and comfortable. The views out the widows are beautiful and if there on a Friday night, the fireworks are visible from the dining windows or one of the bedrooms. Plenty of space for 4 adults and there would be space for more adults/children easily with the extra beds. Very happy to have stayed here and if back in Honolulu, we would stay here again.
We chose to just utilize TheBus since parking was $35/day. TheBus was easy to use via Google Maps.

The property was clean and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need and the views were amazing! The property managers we very responsive and took care of the minor issues we had immediately. I will absolutely stay there again!

Great urban location within a reasonable walking distance to beautiful Wakiki Beach. It’s not on the beach mind you so check the walk time to suit you. We were all over the island, so not a major concern to us. Great food available at reasonable prices next door. Parking garage available next door except for taller rides so check. I parked my lifted rental in a parking lot a short walk nearby and paid the monthly rate which worked out about the same as the daily rate next door. Views are super from this 40th floor property. Super air conditioner, nice pool, and community gas grills which we used. Only cons were clogged tub and sink drains which were not fixed by management. Was able to snake the tub to clear myself. (Left the hair snake.). Sinks needed a plumber or possibly some drano on their slow drain, so no luck there. . No musty smell except on initial entry likely after ac being shut down a minute between guests. (Not an issue at all with us. Saw some prior posts on the issue.) Could use a little TLC, but we loved our stay and would stay here again but bring some drano!

Could use some updating. Kitchen well equipped. Location good.

Check-in was easy. Kitchen was well stocked and furnishing/beds were comfortable. The view on the 42nd floor was awesome. Washer/dryer works fine but keep the washer door open to air out after use or the moisture doesn’t evaporate. You can store your luggage at the security office for $5/ piece after check-out if you want to grab lunch before heading to the airport.

Excellent people to deal with, very responsive. The VIEW IS AMAZING in all directions, day and night!! Location was awesome too, just minutes from everything in Waikiki. The two large bedrooms can accommodate more people than advertised especially if you have young children to share the 2 large beds and more if anyone sleeps in the living room. 5 of us did great with the 4 comfortable beds. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because the apartment and the building as a whole is old and dated. The apt is still very clean and well stocked. Parking cost is a KILLER. Be ready to pay $35 every 24hrs no matter what ($40 the first night). Their policy is to charge for the entire day if you are over by 1 minute. Be prepared to find parking outside if you drive in after 10 pm EVERY night. Nice people at the gate though. There is no special rate for showing the key card however. That is incorrect in the property posting. Considering the impossible parking situation in the neighborhood I was very glad to have a parking garage right there. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Penthouse apartment has great view of Waikiki
The apartment, a corner suite on the 42nd floor, has a 180 degree view of Waikiki and downtown Honolulu. The rooms are spacious, with mirrors to make the rooms look even larger.
The beach at Waikiki is an easy walk from the suite.
A pictorial instruction book made introduction to the unit easier.
The kitchen was well-appointed, with all necessary cooking and eating items, and a large refrigerator. A 7-11 store is less than a block away, and a proper supermarket is a few blocks away.
The shower with glass blocks in the master bedroom was extremely popular. All our party wanted to use it.
Possible areas for improvement:
o The washer was smelly and the door was covered with mold, making it unusable. It needs to be part of the cleaning operation to prepare for guests, who should be instructed to leave the door open after use.
o Wifi was unavailable during the entire stay. On inspection, we discovered that the couch in front of the wall connection had been pushed back so hard that it either broke the cable from the modem, or the wall connector (or both).
We phoned support, who sent a tech out, but he was unable to fix it. We suggest that either a shield be added around the connector, or that a different couch be placed there.

Great place to stay, fantastic city views, clean and very roomy. Communication was fast and clear, would definitely recommend to anyone.

Nice view but not clean
The stove top was not cleaned, neither was the dining room table or oven. Furniture in living room was too hard to sit on. Beds were uncomfortable as well.

Great experience
We enjoyed our stay. Note when booking: water turned off every second Tuesday from 12 to 3. Parking is 35.00 per day, but if you leave 5 minutes too late, it’s another 35.00. But the accommodations are nice. Great views. We had a good time.

This place was large for a fsmily of four but needs some work. The view out the kitched window was amazing. However, diffently musty smell in the air and on everything. They brought us a room floor air filter which helped a little. They were supposed to change and clean air conditioners filter but never did. It rained and water leaked in from the rain causing water to run onto the floor, put towel down. Also paint blistered with water behind couch. We informed the owner. This leads me to believe there may be mold behind the paint and should be checked and fixed. Better storage for common items as drawers and closets were stuffed with this. This could be a source of the musty smell.More comfortable and clean living room cushions would be great. The pool is not heated and the hot tub is gross and need needs to be cleaned. More outdoor furniture also.Since this was during spring break and covid-19 pandemic we couldn't really relax and enjoy Waikiki as we would have liked.May consider this place if updates are made.

Perfect vacation
This penthouse was centrally located in the heart of Waikiki where everything you need is easily accessible. The pool was lovely and the little bakery and sundry store in the lobby very convenient. Views were awesome and and PH was stocked with everything you need for the beach and snorkeling. Would love to come back again! Great VRBO host!

Spacious condo with great view
High above Waikiki with a wonderful view of the beach and the Pacific Ocean. Had some trouble opening the lock box to pick up keys and again to drop off keys. Need better instructions for the televisions. Could have been a bit cleaner and could use new slats in the blinds but overall, a wonderful place. Would love to go back...

Disappointing
The first thing that hits your when you walk through the door of this unit is the strong smell of mildew. The second thing that hits you is the amazing view. The unit was dirty: cushions on the furniture were stained, bed-skirt in master bedroom was filthy, dirty dishes in the cupboard, a cutting board so nasty it needed to be soaked and scraped before it could be used, the vents for the air conditioning units covered with dust, dust balls literally hanging from the fake plant in the entry. Many of the cabinets, trim and doors were damaged or worn. There was a serious hot water drip in the master shower, leaking gallons of hot water each day of our six day stay and making a great deal of annoying noise. Many panels were missing from blinds in all of the rooms, so neither the sun nor the night lights could be blocked. The knob for the living room air conditioning was missing, a replacement did not fit and there was no way to know if you were turning the temp up or down. The living room TV could not be made to work and the fan and light over the dining room table did not work. There was one dining room chair that had a broken back and all of the sitting furniture was uncomfortable. The kitchen was poorly stocked with nasty looking pots and pans and a poor selection of utensils. The tab for the dryer filter was broken so the filter kept falling out and the washing machine occasionally leaked water onto the bathroom floor. The washing machine smelled very musty so if clothing was left in the machine it emerged with the same musty stink. If you plan to spend all of your time somewhere other than this condo, and want to simply enjoy the view while you are there you might find this to be a good fit. But if you want a place where you can be comfortable, enjoy a home-cooked meal and a night without the glare of city lights, including flashing red lights on the tops of nearby building, this is not the place for you. I honestly felt like I should be paid a cleaning fee for all that had to be tidied when we arrived. It is frustrating to pay a great deal of money for a condo and to feel so disrespected as the customer. I will say that the property manager was usually prompt about responding to texts, but nothing really changed while we were there, so the value of her responsiveness becomes questionable. The view and location are great.
