A rat trap

Nothing. If it has anything good it's the location. It's close to the beach and other bars where you can escape from that rat trap. Well, at least the bed isn't uncomfortable, that's something.

This kind of rooms should be illegal and the Greek government should do something about it. We got deceived by the pictures and when we got into the room we realised where were we. Two people barely fit inside the "room", the "bathroom" is very small and overall the room was quite dirty. It doesn't have a real shower, it has a hose hanging from one wall of the bathroom and a hole in the middle of it, so when you get a shower, you basically flood the bathroom, and of course, the room. After the shower, we saw water even below the bed. That was one of the nightmares. Moreover, it hasn't got a mosquito net in the only window of the place, so you can't open your window unless you want to have neighbours sleeping with you on your bed. Remember that it's in the ground floor, so any cockroach or bug could walk in pretty easily if you leave the window open. On another note, it has a very dirty chimney. Yes, a chimney, inside of a room that is barely 10sq meters (being optimistic). And yes, as dirty as a chimney that is used frequently. Last, but of course not least, the host: Apart from being quite rude during the whole process, she didn't tell us the numbers for the box, so we couldn't get in the apartment until we called her again, and with very bad manners she told us she had already told them to us. Thankfully she said them again. Moreover, as a tourist you are always looking for some recommendations, so we asked for some recommendations to visit Volos and eat there. My recommendation: don't do it or you'll die waiting. The best thing you can do is go to the tourist info office, they are very nice people and will give you the best advice.

Need improvements

The flat was very well located near the port.

The bathroom is a completely disaster, it’s impossible to have a proper shower. The bed was ok, although it had wood on the edges, which were uncomfortable when touched. In general, I didn’t like anything about the place. Was thinking of staying an extra night, but couldn’t bother.

Too good for just an overnight stay

Great location, 20 min walk to center, 2 min from beach, bars and mini market. The appartment is a lesson in good design and how to make the most of limited space. Very clean with functional and tasteful furniture and decorations. Small kitchen perfect for breakfast. Very pleasant communication with the host.

No separate shower, whole bathroom/toilet floods when showering. Toilet tucked under the staircase .

Exceptional

Nice location about 200m to the beach and the main street. Nice apartment on the ground with kitchen and bathroom.

Difficult to shower if you are a high person. No parking, find any place on the streets around.

Nice, small flat

A small dirty box

No breakfast applicable. Location was fine

First and foremost it was dirty. The wooden rim at the side of the bed headboard was not cleaned in weeks if not months. I have taken photos of the holders for toothpaste and toothbrush: DISGUSTING. Caked in dirt and hairs. The "bathroom" is a joke: the shower is a hand held affair, with a hole in the floor. The toilet seat is too small for the toilet and you have to hold the cover with your hand otherwise you cannot use it. The mugs in the kitchen cupboard were not properly clean. I had to wash them. I don't find the price justified by what is offered. Too small, but that would not have mattered much if the place was clean and if it had a proper shower and toilet facilities. Will definitely not be going back.

Good value for price but not excellent.

Most of the things are quite satisfactory. The design of the apartment is really nice and well executed. I loved the decorations and the small details. The bed was a little hard for my taste but it was ok. I didn't use the fireplace. The kitchen was well equipped and I did cook a couple of times successfully. I loved the shower gel! The wifi was quick and had no problems.

The toilet is quite uncomfortable. Especially for those who use it while standing. I had to keep the tab standing with my foot in order to use it. Right above the wc there is a spot on the wall which is really low and I had to bend in order to use the wc.

Ideal appartment for a short stay

The communication with the host was really great regarding the keys. After entering, the room is as shown in the pictures. Despite its size, it has everything you will need. All in all, a pleasant experience.

The bathroom is quite small, but should not be a problem for a couple of days. Since the room is located in the ground floor, a) you have to be present in order to leave the window open and renew the air inside and b) it can be a bit noisy from the cars and motorbikes crossing the street.

Superb

Lovely bed lovely space very homelike. Cute cats. Nice and quiet. Very clean. Friendly hosts.

A curtain would.be nice at front door so door can open without exposing the room. Wood for fireplace also nice. Toilet seat didn't stay up. Small space. No clean sheets included.
