About this cabin rental
The village of Green Mountain Falls, is one of Colorado’s premier family vacation spots. Trout fishing, mountain climbing, hiking, shopping or dining, swimming, horseback riding or just relaxing with the wild life is the essence of a great family vacation. The hospitality of this village is second to none.
Our cabin, located at 10875 Belvidere, has been in our family for many years – mostly used as a 2nd home – a summer get-a-way. It is located on the lower road (Belvidere) and is tucked away between Belvidere and Kansas Ave. To reach the carport, you actually drive up Kansas Avenue and you will arrive just above the front door of the Cabin. Just outside the front door, you will discover a wonderful playground for children. This home was one of the original cabins of Green Mountain Falls….probably built in the 1920’s or earlier. It has been completely refurbished and even air conditioned. There is a small wood burning fireplace in the living room and a memory foam pull-out sofa bed. The Master Bedroom is equipped with a King size bed and also has a wonderful massage table…for in house massage service. Outside is an oversized deck that overlooks the valley below. Wildlife is abundant and several hiking trails are close to the house. For entertainment, there is one flat screen television with DVD and Cable, as well as various games, movies, puzzles and books. You will enjoy a small fishing lake with a gazebo located right in the middle of the downtown area, among the shops, great restaurants and cafes. It is close to Woodland Park, Colorado Springs, and Pikes Peak. There are a multitude of activities all around the Green Mountain Falls area. The town is known for the beautiful Falls – which is a short hike to the first set of Falls, or you can do a longer hike to the second set of Falls. There is a lovely public outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts just around the corner from the small lake located in the center of the village.
This cabin is ideally suited for a group of 2-4 people. The bed sleep 2 and there is a sleeper sofa. The cabin is well suited for small birthday parties, business retreats, weddings, wedding anniversaries, honeymoons, Air Force graduations, or any other special occasion. You can enjoy the cooler climate at an elevation of 8,700 ft. surrounded by aspens, pines and interesting wildlife. You will be just minutes away from all of the Pikes Peak region attractions such as Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Pikes Peak Cog Railway, Seven Falls, and the famous Flying W Ranch. The Royal Gorge and river rafting are only an hour drive and the historic mining town of Cripple Creek is only 35 miles away. There are bountiful activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, horseback riding, antique shopping, museums, and fine arts. We know you will enjoy your visit to this beautiful mountain village.

Arrived 8/5 in heavy rainstorm at 7:30 – 8pm, quite dark. Were told to use Kansas St. to carport in rear, but got stuck in washed out, very wide, 6-8 in. deep & wide ruts length of street (have photos). I rocked car & moved (sliding around) up hill to carport. Road to dangerous to use for this vacation. We were told there was no parking on street in front; so we had a problem. Next day, I backed car down rutted street. At one point front tires felll into deep rut, front bumper struct gravel hard, damaging rental car front cowling. Called Bill, who said we could park inside gated fence at bottom of hill, 50-60 feet up & down steep incline, carrying everything back and forth all week. Insurance we bought for rental car has $500 deductible. So, it looks like that dangerous Kansas street cost us more than half what we paid for cabin rental and pretty much ruined our week. Cabin was fine, albeit 100 yrs old, but updated nicely inside. A few items need attention: frig rocks (missing foot), screen door sticks open, hot faucet at BR sink does not turn off correctly and runs on if not noticed; pretty much maintenance issues.

This was the perfect size for our family and the location was excellent.

The cabin is in a beautiful location and well fitted out. The bed is very comfortable, and the deck out front a real highlight. Unfortunately the entry code to the property wasnt set to what had been sent to us, so it took a while to sort that out. The road/ driveway to the cabin is very rough with effects of errosion, with our Rav 4 hire car just making it up. We had a great few days in a beautiful part of the world.

Sometimes houses look way better online than in person, this one was a pleasant surprise in that it was even better than it appeared online. It was much more spacious than we were expecting. Great deck, very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

We very much enjoyed the location of our property, which is close to town, as well as the wonderful deck. The property has nice shade due to the many pine trees and we got to see a faun and tiny doe in the front yard almost every morning. Although we couldn't move in the first night due to a last minute need to clean the septic tank, the property manager was very helpful finding us an alternative location in the same town.
This is a small cabin and the layout is such that we opted not to have our adult son and his girlfriend stay with us on the sofa bed in the living room. I'm sure a family with small children would be fine.
The thermostat is challenging to operate; more instructions would be helpful. Several doors need oiling. We left a basin to use to wash dishes in the kitchen, as the sink has no space on either side to put a draining rack.
Overall we truly enjoyed our stay. Many thanks to the Borellis.

The cabin was exactly as described. It was fully equipped with everything that was needed. The deck was delightful. We were visited by deer and beautiful birds. There is covered parking behind the cabin which came in handy. There was a an afternoon shower that produced some hail. This was my 30th year to visit Green Mountain Falls. I love this sweet little hamlet.

We love our stay. The cabin is a nice location and tranquil. The front porch was a gem. Loved the front porch swing and was an awesome relaxing area after a long day of hiking. We would stay there again.

Comfortable Little Historic Cabin
My wife and I loved our stay and were very comfortable. The big king bed is extremely comfortable and the deck is amazing with views and a swing for two. The one bathroom is small but functional. I was grateful for AWD in navigating the short but steep unpaved drive. All and all was a great stay in a fabulous vacation spot.

Adorable cabin - great communication with hosts - would live there
Easy renting process - a couple of things...
Need instructions on setting both TVs
Need at least one larger skillet / pan
Need instructions where to take trash and if there's a lock on the bin, how to open
Other than those things, our stay was fabulous! Did not want to leave - LOL

Quaint mountain cabin
We loved our stay in Green Falls Mountain. It was a perfect get-away for our family of three. Our one-year old loved the playground and our favorite hike was to the Catamount Reservoir—the trailhead is right up the street. The pantry was a short walk to breakfast in the morning. Great stay! Highly recommend.

Colorado vacation
We had a wonderful stay in Green Mountain Falls. The cabin is quaint and comfortable! Located in the mountains but only 1/2 mile from US 24 which took us to all the local attractions. The cabin was very clean. All the comforts of home! We loved it!

Mountain retreat
We had an amazing time at this cozy mountain cabin. The cabin is comfortable, clean, and quiet. We enjoyed hiking up to the waterfalls and into town to enjoy the local restaurant and shops. It is only a short drive to amazing local attractions such as Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, and Cave of the Winds. We also enjoyed a nice horseback ride through the mountains at Old Stage Riding Stables. An amazing trip and the cabin is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the mountains.

Awesome cabin!
We had a great time at this cabin. It was perfect for our family with young children - they loved the playground! The cabin itself was cozy and perfect for hanging out and relaxing. The deck was the adults' favorite part, and we enjoyed hanging out on the swing, just soaking in the wonderful surroundings.

My husband and I were very comfortable in this cozy cabin. The location was awesome...minutes drive to so many things - Pikes Peak, 11 Mile Canyon, Garden of the Gods. And a short walk up the street to great hiking to falls, and the small city center with shops and restaurants. The deck was amazing - I worked all week, and the cell reception was strong so internet access wasn't a problem. The wifi in the cabin was marginal, but that wasn't a big deal.Thank you for letting us use your lovely cabin. It was a great week!

Perfect get away weekend
This is a great spot to just sit back, relax, and enjoy a slower pace. We loved the town and the cabin was within easy walking distance of great food and hiking trails. We will be coming back and brining our kids.

Disappointing
Unfortunately, this place has a problem with some kind of rodent - mice, chipmunks? Every morning of our stay we heard loud rodent noise over the bathroom area. We heard this over the bed at night. They got into a backpack and chewed into packages of nuts and crackers. Although we had communications with the property manager on three separate days, including the first morning we were there, the situation did not change. In addition, while the inside of this 100 year old property was moderately clean, the exterior was not. The main entrance stoop was very dirty. Yes, there is a beautiful deck but it was covered with dirt, sticks and pinecones.

Relaxing Stay
We enjoyed our stay of three nights. The cabin is nice and relaxing with a very comfortable bed! We enjoyed the hiking and dining at the Mucky Duck. Also, sitting out on the deck. It is a beautiful area!

Mountain Getaway
Wish we could have stayed longer! The cabin was great. We loved the big porch and porch swing. Since we stayed in August, we spent more time on the porch than inside. There was definitely a lot of wildlife activity. We had a momma deer and her babies inside the fence one day, a bear cameo across the street one night (trash day) and the squirrel we named 'Reggie' who ran laps around the railing each morning while we sat on the swing and drank coffee. Green Mountain Falls is such a cute, think perfect setting for a Lifetime movie, town at the base of Pikes Peak. The only place we ate at was The Pantry. Breakfast was good and the patio was SO cool...and unexpected. It's a short drive to downtown Colorado Springs and even shorter drive to Pikes Peak highway, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Manitou Springs, and Manitou Cliff Dwellings. We spent most of a day in Canon city, roughly 1 1/2 hr scenic drive one way from the cabin, visiting the Royal Gorge Bridge and riding the train through the gorge. On our last day, we drove through Woodland and found Paradise Cove. A very short, easy hike through a gorge to this small swimming hole. Beautiful spot for a picnic and a swim...a very cold swim when we were there. In all, we would most definitely stay here again. We loved the cabin and it's location in a sleepy town in the mountains. Staying in Colorado Springs would maybe be a bit more centrally located depending on your plans but what's the point of going to the mountains if you're not staying in the mountains! For us, it's all about the location, the patio, the coffee and the bed. All were A+ for us. Had we eaten more at the cabin, the kitchen had everything a person needs to cook and prep meals; your car is protected under a carport (which I can imagine in the winter would be absolutely necessary); if you bring the kids, they have an awesome playground; and the neighborhood is very quiet. Outside of that, the only other advice I have is GO to the taco place you pass on 24 between Colorado Springs and Green Mountain Falls. It's called Bust Colorado. YUM!!! Trust me, like choosing this cabin, you won't regret it.

Excellent location, thoughtfully furnished, among the woods, quiet and comfortable
We do love travel and enjoy outdoors a lot. Many times, we luck upon some places that offer many of our preferences for a stay away from home. Occasionally, we come across log cabins like Borelli #2, where we want to stay for a long time and come back again.
This log cabin is set amidst wooded region east of Colorado Springs where the neighborhood is quiet, properties are sufficiently separated from each other, with large enough yard, play area and proximity to a couple of trails too.
Places like Pikes peak, Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods are easy to access from this place. The cabin itself is loaded with furniture and kitchen that you will be left wanting for nothing more. Quite comfortable for a family of four, it has a fully adjustable bed (reclines in different ways) which can be adjusted per half and a comfortable futon. Kitchen is loaded with cutlery, has refrigerator, range, oven, microwave, dishes and even some spices. We were able to get some groceries from a town which is about 15 minutes drive from this place and we cooked our meals to have a family dine out on the deck which is furnished well with table, chairs, lounge (hanging) chairs. After visiting the touristy places in the CO springs area, we came back and relaxed on the deck while kids played in the play area in the large yard. We even saw deer almost every evening grazing in the hillside right by the yard .
There was a propane grill which we didn't use, but for those who want to BBQ, not a bad idea. We played tag with the kids in the large yard.
Only improvements I can suggest are -
1. Provide wood for the fireplace in the living room and some fire tools to handle wood on fire / ash
2. Although the place was thoughfully provided with dimmer to the lights, some of these didn't work. Perhaps a bit of maintenance there would help.
3. Some way for renters to get quick answers from the owner/property manager, although I got a message back in about an hour during a weekend.
If we plan another trip to CO springs, we are sure to come back to this place and stay.

Relaxing Mountain Cottage get-a-way
We enjoyed our stay in Green Mountain Falls. The cottage was perfect for our needs and lived up to our expectations. The swing on the deck was put to good use. The peace and quiet was so refreshing. We enjoyed how close the trails were to the cabin (starting at the end of the road). The cabin was clean and neat and had everything we needed for a week end trip. We would love to stay longer in the future.

Nice location and town....no WIFI made it tough :(
Loved the cabin and the location! Was disappointed that the WIFI never worked there and we had tons of trouble with the television and getting it to work properly. They did send a gentleman out to help us in a timely manner and he was able to get the TV working eventually, but was unsure how he did it. With 2 small children, it made it extremely tough during the nights. We also don't mind not using the computer while on vacation, but desperately needed it to look up locations and things to do in the area. The cabin goes off of a neighbors router and if that cabin is booked, it is literally slower than dial-up or didn't work at all. We had to drive to CO Springs to get our phones to work too.
All in all, nice and quaint location! The play set attached to the grounds is amazing and everything seems to be pretty close!

Cozy cabin in beautiful, peaceful surroundings; perfect for a couple
We spent ten days in this nice little cabin in Green Mountain Falls in October. It was our first vacation in Colorado and we loved everything about it! The cabin is very cozy and has everything you need for a pleasant vacation. We loved the deck (unfortunately, it faces to the north, so you don't get too much sunshine - which is nice in summer, but not in October! ;-) and the Hollywood swing. The cabin is nicely furnished (loved the leather recliner chair!!) and is perfect for a couple. Although it sleeps theoretically up to 6 people, we would not recommend it for more than 2 adults and 2 childs max. We could have used a little more dishes and glasses, but that is not a big deal. The mattress in the master bed room is super comfortable and so is the sofa in the living room. We especially liked the fact that the cabin was well equipped with things like toilet paper, hand soap, detergents and even spices, sugar, alu foil etc. It really helps if you do not have to buy all these things at the start of your vacation. - The surroundings of Borelli no. 2 are really nice. It is perfectly quiet and lets you wind down totally from stressful everyday life. Green Mountain Falls is a nice little town, and there is a lot to do and see in the area. We went up to Pikes Peak, visited the Garden of the Gods, Mueller State Park, Florissant Fossil Beds, and also took a trip to the Royal Gorge bridge, all of which is relatively close to GMF. We would definitely recommend this cabin to friends and would also consider coming back for another great Colorado vacation! After we left, our deposit was refunded promptly within 10 days, so there is really nothing to complain about!

A Little Piece of Heaven!
I have been summering in Green Mtn. Falls for 62 years at our family place and then at various rentals in the area. This year was my first to spend 2 weeks by myself and it was heavenly. Had other family staying in GMF and we spent many mornings and evenings on the wonderful porch, watching the grandchildren play on the swings, slide and fort. The cabin was perfect and I felt very safe there...just wish there were some cell phone reception so I could have talked with my husband back home! The handyman showed up while I was there and said he really needed to make some repairs on the outside railings around the stairways, so I expect he will do so before my next visit. Yes, I hope to return, it couldn't have been a nicer place to relax and be with family.

Perfect getaway!
What a great little cabin. It provided a perfect setting to get away without kids for a few days. It is within walking distance of the lake and restaurants. The cabin has a great deck to enjoy the Colorado weather! The property manager is awesome! She worked very hard to make sure the cabin was ready with very little notice. We will be back!

A wonderful cabin
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin in August. It is charming, comfortable, and very well maintained. The deck is fantastic, you may want to spend all your time outside. But inside is very cozy, too. We especially appreciated the traditional/historic decor and furnishings. The location is very convenient, an easy walk to the businesses of Green Mountain Falls and the lake. We look forward to returning again soon.

Pleasant cabin retreat
This property has a beautiful deck and we enjoyed walking to great local restaurants in Green Mountain Falls. The cabin is very comfortable & suitable for couples or small families. Great playground near the cabin. A wonderful place to enjoy the mountain climate while being close to area attractions.

Family Vacation
Fantastic cabin!!!! Very nicely updated, but still has the rustic charm. This cabin had everything we could possibly need, and the Keurig coffeemaker is a nice touch! We brought our two year old twin girls, and as we suspected, they LOVED the private playground equipment. We are no strangers to Green Mountain Falls, as we have a family cabin there. This summer we had the whole family out, so my hubby and children needed a cabin of our own, as the family cabin was full. We were nervous we'd be disappointed since we've never stayed anywhere else, but this place most definitely exceeded our expectations! Quiet, cozy, and close enough to town to walk to The Pantry for breakfast. The grounds are beautifully lit at night, deck is outstanding. Anyone that stays here will see just how well maintained this cabin is. We enjoyed reading about it's history and that it is one of the original cabins in Green Mountain Falls! Great experience from reservation to checking out, everything went very smooth, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice getaway to the mountain air! Thanks so much for a relaxing vacation!!! Only disappointment was not getting to see the BEAR this time out!

Charming Cabin
What a charming cabin! When I first booked this property, I was concerned that it would be too small and cramped for my husband and I. However, we had plenty of room in this clean, well appointed cabin. It even had the real wood (knotty pine) paneling that I love.

Great Mountain Cabin
My wife & I had stayed at this cabin in September, 2012 on a trip to see the aspen change color. We liked it well enough to reserve it for a 10 day stay w/ our 2 grandsons (5 & 11 yrs. old) the summer of 2013. The maintenance on the cabin, however, is lacking. There seems to be no checklist of systems. The drain stoppers on the bathtub & bathroom sink are both inoperative, just as they were 10 months previously. Impossible to retain bath water (although there is a shower) or use the bathroom sink to shave. The light bulb for the carport was inoperative. Upon our arrival it was pouring rain. The guests in the lower cabin had parked in the carport reserved for our cabin, so we were drenched unloading our luggage for 4.the driveway to the carport is in dire need of grading due to severe rutting & erosion, and the turn-around is tight & scary. Cabin no longer has the gas grill previously provided on the deck. None of the 3 humidifiers provided are operative.
On a more positive note, the cabin is very relaxing & comfortable. It has both central heat & air, neither of which we needed. The deck is one of the nicest in GMF, with a beautiful view. The king size bed is very comfortable, and our 2 grandsons had no complaints sleeping on the queen size hide-a-bed couch. The 2 elevation private playground equipment exceeds anything available in the area, with 3 swings, a tubular slide from an elevated fort, a teeter-totter, and climbing dome.
Compared to local area hotel rates of $140 per night after tax, this rental is a good value. If checked, maintained, & repaired more closely, it would be just about perfect.
