A charming cottage with an open fire and a large garden bordering open fields and woodland. Ideally situated for exploring Anglesey and the mainland. A supermarket and other amenities are available in nearby Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantusiliogogogoch (Llanfair PG), less than two miles away. Built in the 1830s Ty Het is situated in the village of Llanedwen and is a delightful single-storey detached property set in its own large gardens with distant views of Snowdonia. Wild rabbits are a frequent sight in the adjacent fields, which are periodically used for grazing sheep and cattle. Red squirrels live in the adjacent woodland. Ty Het is now privately owned, but was formerly the lodge to Plas Llwynonn, a large listed property which belongs to the Marquis of Anglesey, and is part of the Plas Newydd estate. The current owners have extended the cottage to enhance its space and delight but have retained its character. There is no straight line to be seen in the original stone built structure, the double glazed timber windows match the original design, and the stone tiled floor laid throughout adds to the authenticity. The cottage sleeps four people and has a large reception hall, living room with an open fire, dining room, kitchen, utility room, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and two bathrooms. It is centrally heated throughout, utilizing old style radiators that are in keeping with the character of the property. The décor in the cottage is traditional, with added Welsh antiques, collectables and artwork. The dining room features a 200 year old Anglesey Welsh dresser, a Llanrwst grandfather clock, cricket table and a glass display cupboard filled with Welsh souvenirs and dolls. The antique bookcase in the living room has an excellent variety of books. Children are well catered for, with toys and books neatly stored away in a toy cupboard. Shop and pub 1 mile. Free WiFi Heating charge of £45 November to March.

Ty Het is a charming, traditional & comfortable cottage.
Ty Het is a charming, traditional & comfortable cottage. We had a very enjoyable stay as its perfectly located for exploring Anglesey. It is a short walk across the road to Plas Newydd, National Trust - a haven for Red Squirrels. The cottage is well equipped, extremely clean & full of interesting Welsh collectables & antiques.
Pat the Owner was very helpful & friendly, we valued her knowledge about the local area & the pride she has in Ty Het, a Welsh labour of love! The Welsh welcome of tasty Bara Brith was much appreciated.

Beautiful cottage, lovely comfortable beds, Very good standard of equipment, nice welcome Welsh cake and butter, plus chocolates, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay the only drawback was the noise from the main road and the cattle grid on next doors estate. Other than that we’d highly recommend it.

We had a lovely holiday at Llety Pinc.
We had a lovely holiday at Llety Pinc. Beautifully and imaginatively decorated with a lovely garden. The owner was very helpful when we had a small problem and she quickly resolved the issue. Would love to go back. The cottage is on a busy road but the road noise wasn’t an issue and barely noticeable indoors. The garden was safe for our toddler once the gate was closed. Lovely views over fields and woodland.

We are regular visitors to North Wales and to Anglesey in particular but this was our first stay at Llety Pinc. We were very delighted. The cottage has a country setting and is surprisingly spacious inside; it is decorated and furnished in the style of the country lodge, but with all modern conveniences provided. Llety Pinc is conveniently located close to the North Wales Expressway (2 miles) and close to many local attraction including the amazing Plas Newydd country house and gardens.

Despite mixed weather, four of us (all 60+) had a superb week. The property is a delight, full of interesting artefacts and material. Has to be seen to be believed, and in this respect probably the most charming cottage we have ever rented. It is well-equipped with modern facilities and is clearly maintained to a high standard. It was quiet and peaceful with very little passing traffic. The location enabled us to visit all the tourist attractions of interest on Anglesey plus some excursions back to the mainland. The owner was very helpful. We were never short of things to do, and there is a varied mix of activities within an hour's drive. We used the Waitrose supermarket in Menai Bridge for our self-catering needs. Recommend: Caenarfon Castle, Inigo Jones Slate, Plas Newydd (the garden), Copper Kingdom (Amlwch) and a drive to Parys Mountain, Snowdonia e.g. Beddgelert, South Stack, Portmeirion, Beaumaris Gaol & Courthouse.

I couldn't recommend Llety Pinc highly enough.
I couldn't recommend Llety Pinc highly enough. I was nervous taking my 1 year old there because of all the antiques, but the owner, Pat, was so welcoming to my little girl and the place is an absolute treasure trove for little ones to enjoy and explore. Pat has made sure that the house is safe and has catered well to the needs of young families, providing high chair, eating utensils, cot and even bedding, and the softest towels I've ever felt. In addition to the necessities, there is a whole cupboard full of toys and dress-up stuff to amuse them.
For us adults, the house had everything we could have needed and all incredibly high quality - Laura Ashley towels and bedding, duck down pillows and duvets, quality cooking equipment and every utensil you'd ever need for a dinner party for 12, never mind just the two of us.
The house itself is stunning (and spotless), the grounds are beautiful, and the view... well you just need to see that for yourself.
We can't wait to go back!

Delightful cottage full of charm.
Delightful cottage full of charm. Very clean and welcoming. We had a lovely relaxing week at the cottage and only scored it slightly down for comfort as we found the sofa in the living room rather uncomfortably soft and lumpy.
For us the location was perfect but others might not like the fact that it is located on an A road. It's not particularly busy but it might put some people off.
Loved the quirky decor and array of antiques.
We hope to return to Llety Pinc soon.
