Lovely if not somewhat remote - the track was a challenge for us city folk! Lovely welcome and such beautiful surroundings. Very comfortable and helped us all switch off. Great for exploring the coast as so many places are near by - again not for the faint hearted In terms of narrow lanes! Cottage it self was warm and fit us in well. We didn’t play snooker however as the weather was pretty good for October. The walks from the cottage are on the steep side due to being on the side of the valley - however pop on the car and there are many great walks to go on - the river at Colyton, Branscombe, Axmouth, .... the list goes on. We had a lovely time and the dogs loved it the most

A lovely cottage in a very secluded and natural location but in the heart of the Jurassic coast.
A lovely cottage in a very secluded and natural location but in the heart of the Jurassic coast. Very pleasant and charming owner who lives close by and resolves every issue, not intrusive at all. Nice welcome pack with lovely homemade jam, chutney and scones and nice touches like a barbecue with equipment. All was very clean on arrival with comfortable beds with nice deep matresses. Cottage has lovely large bedrooms if the living area is a little bit restricted. Very pet friendly and cottage is fully enclosable. Broadband is slow to the point of being unusable at times in case you have teenage children or work demands, and no signal on the O2 or EE networks (others might be better), but we expected this.

Cottage is set in beautiful countryside a mile down a track that is a little uneven .
The cottage had most of what we needed but would benefit from spare bin bags and cooking foil.
The cottage was cosy and the beds were very comfortable.
The showers took a little bit of getting used to adjusting the temperature and flow.
Rosemary was there to welcome us on arrival and her home made hot scones were delicious.
Star was so friendly and we fell in love with her straight away.
All in all we had a lovely stay in a beautiful place.

We had a lovely week long stay at Clock Cottage! It was a little home for us and had everything we needed.
The long drive to the house from the main road took a bit of getting used to but served as a lovely way to really feel like we were out in the countryside and away from it all.
Rosemary was so welcoming and couldn't have been a better host.
Star the dog was the highlight of Rockenhayne, she's a great companion and good for a game of catch!
