Loved the location, staff and service.

Great view over the Nile and very quiet. The pool was nice, food great and the rooms in good condition. Service was exceptional, even reserved a boat for us on the White Nile.

Bestemt ikke et sted vi vil besøge igen.

Udsigten fra pool området var rigtig fin, værelserne var meget varme, en ventilator lige over sengen som larmede så man ikke kunne lade den køre mens man sov.

Lodgen lå langt fra parken og vejen var rigtig dårlig, vejen ned til lodgen var heller ikke særlig bil venlig, desuden burde det være oplyst at man ikke kan betale med kort, kun kontanter, samtidig havde de ikke styr på bookingerne fra booking.com, men heldigvis var der ikke andre gæster så vi stod ikke med et umiddelbart problem.

Nice place and views

The views were breathtaking. It is a sustainable proyect to support a scool.

Take care about the location, don’t follow google maps, there is a sign post in the street where you need to turn to get the path which leads you to the scool.

Very nice and quite place with beautiful cabins.

Although the place is quite and perfect to enjoy the nature and the wonderful view of the Nile, the guests are not always like this. We were unfortunate enough to be there with 2 families with kids that made a lot of noise, playing the ball and yelling all day long.

Such a lovely, peaceful place to stay for a few days. Cosy, clean lodges and delicious food. Perfect distance to the park. The staff and manager are very friendly and helpful.

Superb

It is a very beautiful place in the nature. The staff is very friendly. We traveled with a disabled person and we got every help we needed. We enjoyed our days in the lodge so much and surely come back.

peaceful place with lovely nature trails and big quiet garden

Very quiet place with nature trail we loved. Nice view to river Nile and surrounding landscape. Our house was spacious and comfortable. Three-course dinner and breakfast were also good. Very well cooked chicken that wasn't cooked dry as usual in Uganda. We really enjoyed our stay and walk on the nature trail and along the old railway line.

A very special experience

This is one of our highlights during our tour of Uganda. The staff are absolutely exceptional. Chrissy the manager could not have done enough for us and her two trainee assistants, Lisa and Agnes just made us feel so special and welcome. We will never forget those beautiful smiles after a long day of game driving. Wonderful

One of the highlights of our stay in Uganda.

We found the service exceptional, the staff very helpful and welcoming. The location was wonderful, situated in the bush and overlooking the river Nile. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, very authentically African in character. A beautiful, quiet retreat.

We had some issues with the hot water, but this was attended to promptly.

The warm water was not yet fixed, so only cold shower. They did offer warm water bottles to shower with.

Perfect place at Murchison National Park

Beautiful budget-friendly lodge surrounded by nature, close to the highly-recommended Northern entrance of Murchison National Park. All income benefits a local NGO supporting widows and children in Northern Uganda. Beautiful and comfortable cottages, nice food, very friendly staff and relaxing common areas with hammock, campfire, board games and views of the White Nile river basin. You can go for a morning or evening stroll on the different trails of the compound, spot some animals, get to know the NGO's work and the local community, among other things. We highly recommend this place if you travel a bit on a budget and want to go to Murchison NP! They organized a local guide who went with us on a game drive (Joseph) who we can also recommend.

We were warmly welcomed at the Lodge with hot towels and a drink, staff was so friendly and made our (even late) plans for game drives happen. The houses were spacy and well organised, there was camp fire in the evening and the view over Albert Nile was stunning. I loved to sit in the hammock and just enjoy the place.

Gorgeous Stay Near Murchison Falls

Nice and close to the north entrance of Murchison Falls National Park and a nice place to relax after a safari. The included breakfast was really good, and they’ll pack you breakfast if you have an early game drive. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and view was AMAZING, especially at sunset. We would definitely come back here.

Only complains were that the rooms were narrow and the pillowed were flat, but those were super mild things and weren’t even much of a bother, only things I could think of. I will also note that it is further from Kampala than many other places near Murchison Falls; it’s a 7.5hr drive compared to closer to 5hrs. But being a 10 minute drive from the north gate of the park is great for early morning game drives and this place is a really good deal, so if you have time it’s definitely worth it. And with the new road being built through the park and the bridge they’re putting in, that drive time should soon be significantly reduced, making it even more worth it to stay here.
