Everything as described in the listing. Place was very clean and well equipped. Appreciated the large entryway for all of our gear and the ample seating in the living room. Great location in town, easy walk to main street but on a quieter street. Would definitely recommend.

Comfortable historic home that reminded us of “Grandma’s house”. Most interior doors will require the “honor system”. Great view from front porch and walking distance to main St

Cozie little house, it is an older house as it states. The kitchen is settled quite a bit and has a dip in it. There was a puddle of water that we cleaned every morning in front of the fridge coming from somewhere. All in all the kiddos enjoyed & the street is low of traffic

3 friends and I stayed at Patricia and Doug's house for 4 nights on a ski trip to Silverton and it was a perfect place to relax and relive the experiences of the day. Large and comfortable living room, a well equipped and large kitchen and a separate bedroom for each of us made it easy to eat and kit up at our own pace. 2 blocks from a brewery and what restaurants Silverton has to offer in the winter and super close to Silverton ski area for some of the best, gnarliest skiing on the continent. We got snowed in due to Molas and Red Mountain Passes being closed for avy control and Patricia was in constant touch with updates and was super helpful getting us out and then on home as soon as Molas Pass opened. Thanks Patricia, looking forward to coming back again!

We checked in but had to cancel our stay due to a problem. Fortunately, the host family took care of the issue immediately and refunded our money quickly. I would recommend them.

I rented this home for me and my employees for an estate sale we were liquidating in Silverton. It was a beautiful home with incredibly comfortable beds. The two dining tables were incredible, especially when we brought some work home. I am incredibly grateful Patricia and Doug were so accommodating.
One thing I wish I would have known is the doors don't lock, and in some cases close shut. It would probably be just fine with a family, but it was definitely awkward with co-workers. Especially when it came to the restrooms. I wish we would have known to bring something heavy to "lock" the doors behind us, or even communicate it to my employees ahead of time. It is a historic house, so I am sure it is normal. Just something I wish I had prepared for. :)
Overall, the home is very quiet and cozy. We had an amazing time. Thanks so much!!

A Charming Heritage House in a Charming Heritage Town
We were a group of 4 in town for an event & we had a lovely, comfortable stay in this 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom house. In particular, the kitchen was very well-equipped & had updated appliances. It was nice to have space for the four of us to gather, but also to have our own rooms when we wanted privacy & sleep.
Three of the bedrooms & 1 of the bathrooms are upstairs. The bedrooms have comfortable beds and good storage space. We liked the character of the sloping ceilings. The 4th bedroom is on the main floor, close to the other bathroom. Besides this, there is a living room, a dining area, a large kitchen with a smaller table for quick meals & a back porch with a washer and dryer. There is a picnic table in the back yard & the front entry has benches & hooks.
The rooms had lovely views & the location was good--very close to restaurants and shops, but off the main drag, which made for nice, quiet sleeps.
My friends & I were happy with our stay & want to thank the owners for opening their comfortable rental home to us. The owners had great communication & were helpful & hospitable.
There are a few reasons why I didn't give the place 5 stars. 1. The place needed some TLC. It's an old house, so the creaky floors and quirky doors are part of the charm. However, the furniture needs dusting, the kitchen floor needs washing & there are some repairs needed, such as replacing the door sweep on the back porch door. 2. Although the house is extremely well-equipped in some ways, it lacks a couple of basic amenities, such as shampoo & a blow-dryer. Considering that we needed to get dolled up for our event, this was an issue. Three of us had flown there, meaning we had limited space to bring items such as blow dryers or liquids like shampoo. This meant spending part of our time hunting for places to buy these. (Note: the hardware store at the other end of town is well-stocked with a variety of items, so this is the place to go if you need a blow dryer.)
However, these are minor concerns. We enjoyed our stay & would definitely recommend this house.

Great place to stay with a group of skiers shredding gnar at Silverton. Kitchen is amazing, plenty of space to hang out, stretch out after skiing, sleep, relax. Great sunny apre in the front yard. Walking distance to all the amenities in Silverton, including the soaking pools, bars, restaurants, liquor store, grocery store. The house has that old Silverton charm, wouldn't have it any other way!

We loved this place. All of the logistics with the owner/manager were flawless. The house was spotless and we could tell that the owner took pride in it. We had drinks on the front porch each evening while looking at the mountains and seeing the small town of Silverton end another day. This house is a ery short walk to town and within easy driving distance of so many beautiful hikes. A great property!
