Great stay in the mountains
We had a lovely stay in Vermont! There were 6 adjusts that stayed for the month of January and we had a great time. We were close to both downhill and cross country skiing. The house is beautiful! Roger is a great host. We hope to be back!

Great house and location
This is a charming house with stunning views. It was very comfortable for my family. Communication with the owner was excellent. We are very familiar with Warren and Waitsfield and have stayed in the area before. We would not hesitate to rent again.

Spectacular views of Sugarbush and the valley.
Quintessential ski house. Close to the mountain. Loved the kitchen and great room. Plenty of firewood and awesome sledding hill. We had a blast over our three weeks! Would definitely rent again.

Good place - Owner is a great guy!
It worked, we ate, slept, skied, laughed and had fun.!
Note: the refrigerator in the kitchen died.... ( there is a second one in the basement). Communication with the owner was very good. He offered to have home depot immediately deliver a small fridge for us as the replacement kitchen unit would take several days to arrive. I told him it was not necessary, the basement fridge would work for us. His willingness to do whatever it takes to keep you comfortable and happy was quite apparent.
It is nice place and a great view! we'll stay there again!

he'll send you a last-minute "supplemental rental agreement" that he claims are "additional protection" for him. With less than 24 hours before my family and my brothers families are scheduled to spend a vacation together, what are you going to do? He said he'll lock me out with his fancy RING alarm system if I don't sign and also agree to leave more money in cash or check as additional cleaning deposit. The place was already paid for and included a cleaning fee in the price. In the midst of our stay, he texts me to say VRBO hasn't paid him and that he's considering locking me and my family (with 6 kids) out of his house, with all our stuff in it. And it was 10 degrees out in Northern Vermont... As I type this he's texting me to send him a check for the full rental amount because he hasn't been paid by VRBO, and threatened legal action, reminding me I signed his supplemental agreement (under duress). There are plenty of nice places to stay in Mad River Valley, avoid this one.

beautiful view, good location, decent stay
Spacious house with plenty of activities to keep a full house entertained after a day of skiing! The sunset view from the living room was spectacular!
Upon arrival, the house was clean and looked as pictured. However, we found two nearly dead wasps/hornets/black bees (not sure what it was!) in the bedrooms upstairs, I didn't think much of it until we inspected some more and found a cluster of dead bugs in the screen to the skylight in one of the bedrooms. We decided to ignore it seeing as how there was nothing we could do. By the end of our 2 day 2 night stay, we encountered 2 more live ones! Aside from that, the house was comfortable.
What I was not pleased with was the surprise email the day before check-in (we booked the trip 10 days before). I received an email from the owner stating we needed to sign a 4 page rental agreement and leave a check for a property protection deposit on top of the large HomeAway security deposit. I called HomeAway to ask their advice. The representative I spoke with told me the owner is not allowed to do this, and that they could contact the owner. I decided to not have them contact the owner in fear the owner would refuse to rent to us. I knew we would not find another place in such short notice.
My family and I were able to make the most of our Vermont ski trip.

Beautiful spacious home with log cabin feel
My family spent a weekend in March 2019 at this beautiful home. It feels like a family home- like staying with a close friend. It is the quintessential Vermont house, so if you want to really feel like you’re in vermont, this is the place! The game room in the basement was a hit with the kids and they went straight down there in the morning, which was great since the adults could sleep in. Easily the most equipped Home Away house kitchen I’ve ever experienced. Lots of thoughtful details throughout the house and plenty of room. Private Sledding hill in back yard was a bonus and great views from every room. Very clear cut manual to house included after booking, which helped us feel prepared. Would highly recommend to family or friends traveling to ski Sugarbush.

Lovely home close to Sugarbush
Roger's house was lovely and perfect for what we were looking for. We wanted to be close to Sugarbush to go skiing and have a place big enough for a birthday dinner and celebration! His place was perfect and some cozy. Roger was also amazing at responding fast if I had any questions.
Notes: The door is hard to close, make sure when shutting the door behind you that it is fully latched. The trash cans outside are not very big, so you may need to communicate with Roger or set up a plan to take some of the trash bags with you.
Thank you Roger!

Great Time
8 buddies back to the Bush after 30 years and this house made our return perfect. Would have loved a bit more snow (like today!) but mother nature's going to do what she wants, when she wants! Roger is a great guy, very helpful and answered all my questions and concerns promptly. The temps dropped to -7 with high winds and the fireplace kept us nice and toasty. Beautiful secluded location, only a 10 minute drive to the base of the mountain. Cooked some tasty meals on the Wolfe stove. Pool table and foosball in basement filled our competitive sides and the Ferrari décor was very cool. Thanks again Roger.

Great winter location in the Mad River Valley
Great spot in East Warren. Roger was professional and incredibly responsive. House sits on a large lot with a modest hill out back that was great for sledding with the kids. Close to Sugarbush and Mad River Glen for skiing. Great kitchen and layout for cooking and entertaining. Bonus room downstairs was great for the kids, complete with pool table and foosball. The listing states three queen beds but one room is actually a double. Two of the three upstairs rooms are loft style (open to the downstairs space), which mattered to us with young kids and different nap schedules (did not realize this in advance). Overall great spot with lots of character and plenty to do!

Christmas Break Skiing 2016
Two families, totaling 8 people rented this adorable house to bring the kids back to one of our favorite ski spots. Had not been to Sugarbush since 1995. Room for everyone, kitchen that was efficient and easy to provide a killer breakfast with the awesome griddle. Pool table and foozball in the basement to keep the teens entertained. Comfortable living area with magnificent mountain views and open plan so we were mostly together. Owner provided sheets and towels..BONUS! It snowed 10+ inches during our stay and the mountain was as great and as "not crowded" as I remember. We used to ski Sugarbush during holidays when Killington was insane.Didnt wait more tha 5 minutes for a lift. Warren is a sleepy town, not much to do but for for exceptional cocktails at the Pitcher Inn. A quick drive north to restaurants, in Waitsfield, was worth the trip. Had fun at Blue Moon Pizza and ordered take out again during our stay. All in all A+. Thank you for the opportunity, will book again.

Nice Property But Had Issues
Nice property but our stay here was marred by multiple issues including 2 roof leaks, dysfunctional wifi and a malfunction with the home's water filtration system. And while the owner was responsive and helpful, I had to spend too much time addressing these issues, which took away from the quality of our experience in the home. More importantly, the owner agreed to provide a slight refund based on our experience and never paid it, which is disappointing.
