Beautiful space and nicely located.
Easy walk to Playa de los Muertos and to Sayulita Plaza, but far enough to be quiet at night. Very comfortable space and kitchen and great little patio for morning coffee and cards.

We really enjoyed our stay in Sayulita at this lovely casita. Area is quiet but central enough we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go.

Terri keeps the place very clean. It's quiet except sometimes during the day vehicles going up the hill outside make a racquet. Walking up the hill to the place takes about a minute, up an 18 degree angle. A bit of exercise, no problem.

This was a comfortable place to stay. Nothing fancy but has everything you need. It’s close walking distance to town but far away enough to not hear the late night music and partying. It’s on a steep hill but towards the bottom, so although it’s steep its a short. Might not be suitable for some with mobility issues. The host was great and responsive. I would stay here again.

Everything we needed
We arrived at Casa Sarita and were met with Jorge who gave us the keys and showed us around.
The studio had everything we required including drinking water, beach chairs, umbrella etc. Just the right size for two people. There was a lovely little outdoor patio at the side of the unit, complete with table and chairs. It was a lovely place to sit as it was in the shade most of the day.
Teresa the housekeeper came every 3 or 4 days. Very lovely person.
The town of Sayulita is quite walkable distance wise. Mostly cobblestone streets and rough bricks or pavement. For someone with mobility issues this may be a problem. As was the steep hill getting to the unit. Would not work for someone with mobility issues or who couldn’t do a couple of steps easily.
The beach is a 5-8 minute walk away. With the beach there are only certain areas you can sit as all with all the chairs and umbrellas they want to rent to you. So their requirements were that you could not sit in their area. A couple of times we were almost in the water with the rising tide.
The unit itself is as described.
Overall it was a very pleasant stay. The only issues we had was the loud music coming from the building workers down the hill it went from morning till dinner. And it was loud! At times we could not sit outside because it wasn’t pleasant. We really wanted a quiet vacation. If it wasn’t for the music it would have been quiet. We were there for 30 days. We don’t usually like to complain but it was mentioned to Jorge who then spoke to the foreman of the project. The music was turned off for maybe 3 days.
Maria and Jorgevare a very nice couple.

Sayulita getaway
I went to Sayulita to attend a wedding. Casa Sarita was ideal for me because it was all I needed. It was a short walk to town and the beach. I did not rent a golf cart, but would not have had a place to park at Casa Sarita had I done so. Casa Sarita is perfect for 1 or 2 people that just want a place to sleep and shower and spend most of their day exploring.

Perfect location
We spent 10 days at Casa Sarita (Apartment B) to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Everything about this vacation was exactly what we hoped it would be. The Casa's location is perfect - a few minutes walk to the center of town or to the beach, but quiet at night. Just the right size apartment which was very clean and attractive. Teresa came every couple of days to make sure it stayed spic and span. We loved Sayulita and Casa Sarita and hope to return one day. Thank you Maria and Jorge.

Quiet place close to the action
No pool and with the pollution in the surrounding ocean, no were to swim. But clean, quiet safe. Some reviews said it was hard to access but us 2 60 something had no problem.

I loved, loved this place. It is so clean and quiet. I could just walk downtown sayulita or the beach in 5 minutes. Maria was very responsive if I ever needed anything. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place.

Perfect flavour of Mexico!
Casa Sarita is perfectly situated for quick access to the beach and all the shops and produce stands. Having use of the boogie board, beach chairs and umbrella saved us a lot of pesos not having to rent them on the beach. The BBQ and kitchen also made this the perfect place to stay if you like to do some of your own meal prep when you’re not out sampling one of the great restaurants in Sayulita, and having laundry access made it easy to rinse the seawater out of our swimwear. Maria and Jorge are genuine and helpful, and Theresa is very sweet and kept our space spotless. Not to mention the design and decor is truly Mexican making this a great vacation choice!

Sayulita at its finest
We recently stay 30+ days at Casa Sarita and as we agree with the other reviews we would like to add that is little gem along with the owners Jorge and Maria are the reasons we still love to travel to Mexico. The place has all the modern needs but located in a rural setting which takes you back in time to a much simpler life. Jorge and Maria are excellent hosts and go out of there way to look after you.

The property itself was very clean and nice.
Overall the facility was very clean and nice and met my needs. They attended to the few needs that came up very quickly. I was out most of the day but at night the beds were very comfortable. It is a very steep climb to the house (thank god it is not far up the road) so I recommend that you consider this if you are not in shape or older, and yes there are roosters but then they are everywhere. And yes I would go back to Casa Sarita. Thank you.

Perfect spot for a couple!
This place was amazing. It's extremely clean, close to town and comes with everything you need; beach towels, chairs, umbrella, etc.
It's only a three minute walk to the center of town or five minute walk to the beach.
I would highly recommend staying here.

Sayulita at its BEST!
Was in the Casa from February 19 to March 19. Was so very comfortable with good beds, lots of hot water, good internet and everything was very clean and well maintained. I had three friends stay for a week each and everyone was very comfortable with the accommodation - even my sister who is a '5 Star' gal!
Thanks so much Maria and Jorge for allowing me to stay in your Casa! I hope to return.

loved the patio and table. the unit was clean and lovely. the location is great.
The owners take pride in their property and we're very helpful. We loved our time in Salita and the location was great. We were close to the ocean and downtown. There was lots of wildlife to be seen from the patio. The cleaners were lovely.Great place to stay.

Great location, all the necessities, comfortable beds and great value for the money.
Had a great stay at Casita Sarita; the location was perfect - close walk to town but away from the noise at night. Bring earplugs! The roosters will bother you otherwise. Nice hot water in the shower, all the necessities in the kitchen and a quaint outdoor space to eat breakfast. Not much of a view and not a lot of natural light but this is a great stay if you just need a cozy place to rest your head at night. Cleaning ladies were also very sweet and friendly. Thanks for a pleasant getaway!

Great place to stay
Maria was great. Always quick to respond to our needs. The place is clean, big enough and cute patio. As someone mentioned before if you're looking to lounge inside may not be the best but there are other parts of the house you could rent like Sarita a or the part down below.
Very happy with the place although make sure you bring earplugs for the roosters. Start at 5:30 am every morning! Also super close to town but far enough away you don't hear the music from the bars.

Very Nice
61 year old solo traveler with lousy Spanish skills on first Sayulita visit. All arrangements seamlessly handled by Maria via internet. Jorge met me with the keys, a full explanation of the units amenities and then at my request, a most informative chat about the area. House really shows pride of ownership. The unit was well stocked and a nice stroll to town. There are stairs and the road is up a very small hill coming back but the A/C and shower work great! Do be advised that as this is Mexico there are neighbors with Roosters but that just means the eggs are fresh. Thanks Maria & Jorge.

Great place to start
Overall this apt is nice and a safe place for people who have never been to sayulita. Location is great and it's best amenity. It's Close to town but also away from all the action when you want to retreat. Clean, with water provided when you get there. The roosters do wake you up at 4 am and take some getting used to. I bet if you stay anywhere around town you will have this issue. I would not recommend this apt. If you plan to lounge around your room, a little dark with no view, but patio at night is nice. But if you plan to get out and explore all day than this is a safe first apt to stay in.

Perfect apartment for our 12 day visit!
We are at the end of our visit to Casa Sarita, Apt B. We are sad to leave as we've loved the unit and the little town of Sayulita. We agree with other reviews (below) that the owners, Jorge and Maria, were quick to answer all inquiries and were very friendly and helpful. This apartment is relatively new and very well appointed. Beautiful tile floors and a nice kitchen. The unit is well-stocked, too (many towels, beach towels, kitchen items, etc.) The small outdoor patio is charming and we enjoyed our breakfasts outside every morning. Location is very good....5 minute walk to the center (and to the beach) but just far enough away to not hear the weekend music, coming from the plaza. There are some roosters (nearby) that crow early but, with the white noise of the ceiling fans, we never found it to be an issue. We would return here in a heartbeat; we loved our stay!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Sarita. It looked even better than it did in the photos and was very clean and well-stocked with all of your kitchen needs and towels (the only thing we wanted extra was a lime squisher for all the margaritas we made, which we bought and can now use at home!! :)). The location is awesome as it's just up the road from the city (and far enough away that it's quiet) and very close to the beaches, with a short walk to our favourite beach, Playa los muertos (and other quiet beaches). What others have said about the roosters is true, but we liked it and will miss their noises. We highly recommend Casa Sarita. Thank you Maria and Jorge! Todo Bien!

We loved our stay at Casa Sarita! It truly was above our expectations! It was extremely clean and had everything essential for our stay plus more! Maria has thought of everything to make your stay at Casa Sarita very comfortable! The internet was super fast, AC cooled the room down instantly, and kitchen was fully stocked! Having access to laundry was an added bonus. The location was excellent- just 5 minutes short walk to the town and beach. Like another reviewer mentioned, there are loud roosters who started around 3:00 am, but luckily I had earplugs to help. Would recommend this place to stay!
5.0 / 10.0
We spent four nights at Casa Sarita and it was perfect! The Apartment B unit (there are a few units in the house) is a very big room with a kitchen and small dining area close to the front door, two double beds in the middle of the room, and the full bathroom is at the far end of the room (separated by a door, of course!). We pushed the two double beds together, as another reviewer here had done so and said it worked well. We ended up with a huge bed in a giant room, which was great. There's also a lock box of sorts in the unit - not a safe, but similar and it was nice to know we could lock up valuables.
The unit is very clean, with tile floors throughout. The air conditioning is great - I suggest leaving it on low at night so it serves as a white noise machine to drown out the crowing roosters that start making noise very early in the morning! We weren't woken by the roosters once we had the air conditioning on, and you can enjoy the chickens and roosters during the day as you'll see them nearby:) We heard very little noise from neighbouring units, and the location of Casa Sarita is ideal. It's about a three minute walk to the plaza in the centre of town, and only two minutes past the plaza to get to the main beach. We took a taxi from Puerto Vallarta and our taxi driver wasn't sure how to get to Casa Sarita (there isn't a number, just the street name), but after getting some directions from a taxi driver in Sayulita we got there no problem and could easily recognize it from the pictures. Be sure to look up the routes to walk to Los Muertos beach, you can do a nice loop from the Casa as the roads that connect to the route are nearby (and it's a great beach).
Maria and Jorge were great to deal with in terms of booking, easy communication, and checking in. We would definitely recommend Casa Sarita and hope to return!

My friend and I spent 10 days in Sayulita in early November, and Casa Sarita was the perfect place for us. The location is extremely convenient - a quick walk, maybe 5 minutes, to the town square, and just a couple minutes beyond that to the beach, but far enough that you're not bothered at all by the noise from the clubs at night. It felt very private, and we couldn't hear anything from the guests staying in the other two apartments in the building. The two beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with all the dishes and tools that you could need, even including Tupperware. And the apartment was very, very clean. It was in great shape when we arrived, and the cleaning lady came three times during the ten days we were there - she cleaned, changed the sheets, and washed both our beach and bath towels (all provided with the apartment) every time she came. We found Casa Sarita a very comfortable and easy place to stay, and would recommend it highly.

The place is new, very comfortable and really nice. I stayed a week and Maria and Jorge were always in contact with me to know if everything was Ok.

My Boyfriend & I stayed at Casa Sarita Apt B last week and it was awesome. It really exceeded our expectations – honestly the pictures didn’t do it justice, especially for what a great price per night! Everything is new/clean and so unique. It really was great, it has everything you need in a really convenient location (close to town and the beach – just a short walk). Jorge was there at the apartment to give us keys when we arrived and Maria helped answer questions via email prior to our trip. We also had room service, twice, during our stay which we were not expecting so that was a very pleasant surprise. (However, since we were not expecting it, we did come back the first day to an open door so don’t be alarmed at first, like we were!) We had friends staying in apt A which also worked wonderfully. Renting apartment A & B for two couples on vacation together is PERFECT, just enough privacy but also convenient to hang on the big porch if desired. And the internet was very handy for checking places to eat etc etc.
Our only complaint (which is completely out of their control – hence still the 5 star rating) were the chickens next door :-) I know it sounds silly, but these guys are VERY vocal (about every 30 seconds) from about 5am to 6pm. I’m sure it is a part of the Mexico “experience” so if it were not chickens it could have been dogs barking/children screaming elsewhere but it was our biggest and only struggle because lets be honest… 5am on vacation is early! :-) Definitely suggest bringing the earplugs - I was extremely grateful he brought an extra pair for me because it was a necessity every morning! Other than that I would absolutely recommend Casa Sarita to everyone, loved it!

Great apt close to town. Maria and Jorge were very helpful. Private street and very close to the beach. I would recommend to anyone planning a stay in Sayulita. The apartment is very modern. Good plumbing and hot water. AC if you need it.
