About this cottage rental
Nestled in the trees, our 1 bedroom, 1 bath guest house features a private entrance, a queen sized bed in the bedroom and queen size sleeper sofa in the living room, both supplied with 100% cotton sheets and blankets (portable crib available for little ones). Flatscreen TV, DVD player with movies, books and games. Full kitchen with refrigerator, small stove/oven, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker and everything you need for cooking. Full bathroom with clawfoot tub with shower and fluffy cotton towels. Have coffee or a glass of wine on the small deck off the bedroom or make use of our charcoal grill for a back yard BBQ. Plenty of parking space for a larger vehicle, boat, or RV/camper. Less than 10 minutes to downtown Beaufort, Port Royal and Parris Island. 20 minutes to Hunting Island State Park and beach. Both Charleston and Savannah make for easy day trips.

Family of 4 2 young kids this place was perfect for us…wifi worked great and the bed was comfortable…would recommend for anyone who is visiting for Marine boot camp graduation its short drive to the base

This was a great place for me and my daughters- 19 and 21 to get away for the weekend. We made the hour drive down to Hilton Head during our stay. The home was comfortable and checking in and out was easy. I definitely would book again and recommend for others.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The park pass was a unexpected and greatly appreciated bonus. Everything was clean and comfortable. We loved the balcony. Plenty of closet space. Convenient location. It was amazing.

This little apartment worked great for us! In a pretty little neighborhood near Mossy Oaks and Battery Creek streets, this was just blocks away from our daughter’s little family (including our only grandchild). The host was responsive to my few questions but nothing was ever needed! 😊
The apartment was clean, tasteful, very comfortable (air conditioning worked great and ceiling fans in both main rooms). There is a bedroom with big walk-in closet and the bathroom with a big claw-foot tub also modified for a nice shower. The small kitchen and counter-top space, along with large coffee table by the sofa in the living room, gave room for us and our daughter’s family to sit around and enjoy pizza or lunch-time sandwiches, etc.
It’s ideal for two people, though there is a sofa sleeper we did not use. Our granddaughter did spend some days with us, and even a few nights, but she is just 4 years old and we could make a little “bed” on the sofa without folding out the sleeper.
The host’s beautiful house and the attached garage apartment that we rented are surrounded by pretty trees and Spanish moss with flowers around the nice landscaping, and we heard more frogs at night than we have in many years.
It is a climb up stairs to reach apartment, but of course we knew that beforehand, and wasn’t a big issue unless carrying lots of luggage or groceries.
The supplied South Carolina state park pass got everyone in the car free admission to Hunting Island Beach and Charles Towne Landing.

This is the cutest little apartment! Super clean, very pretty decor, excellently equipped (lawn chairs, beach towels, a tumbler, state park pass - LOVED THAT!) and very conveniently located. Gorgeous scenery all around and a home-y place like this to stay at made for a perfect get-away!

We stayed in Mossy Oaks for the graduation of our son from boot camp. The apartment was cozy and perfect for our needs. It was very close to Parris Island and it was also close to Walmart, Publix, and other shopping centers. We were gone most of the days but we did use the kitchen to make breakfast and it had the necessary basic items. The shower was great and there was shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. However, I was really impressed with the bed in the bedroom. It was so comfortable and clean. I told my husband this really is the best bed of any place we have ever stayed. My kids slept in the pull out in the living room and they were comfortable too. I definitely recommend Mossy Oaks to anyone who wants to be near Parris Island.

This apartment was perfect for me and my wife to visit for our youngest son's graduation from MCRD-Parris Island. The bed was very comfy as was the living room couch, where our son slept after he graduated prior to our return trip home. The kitchen has everything you need for meal prep. We also enjoyed sitting on the small patio in the evening too enjoy a glass of wine.
It was only 10 minutes from this quiet neighborhood to the front gate of MCRD-Parris Island. All in all, perfect location for a small party attending a graduation..

Absolutely perfect quaint and quiet apartment for our return to the Beaufort area for these two United States Marine Corps (Retired) Veterans. The host was excellent in her communication with us. Apartment had everything we needed to make us feel at home to include an incredible welcome book! The welcome book included historical information, activities, restaurant menus as well as a state park pass! 😀. One of the best features were the multiple, multi-outlet charging plugs available both in the bedroom and the livingroom! Absolute positive ✨️ in my opinion! Well done Donna & Andy! We would definitely highly recommend staying here and will return again when passing through Beaufort in the future. Location was great as well.

I absolutely loved staying here. The guest house was clean and neat and decorated in a cottage style. It was so peaceful to wake up to bird sounds each morning. The owners thought of everything. There was even a stool to get into the clawfoot tub. In the medicine cabinet, there was hairspray! Now that is thinking of everything!

My husband and I came for the Parris Island graduation. This was an ideal location (about 10 minutes away from MCRD). The apartment above the garage felt like a cozy cottage and had absolutely everything we needed! It was also very private with it’s own entrance. The owners are so respectful about guests privacy (we never saw them), but when we messaged them about our timing for check out, they responded straight away with a kind note. Hope to have the chance to return to beautiful Beaufort again and this home away from home!

Even with our plans getting shifted, Donna and Andy were so helpful and kind. We wished we could have stayed longer because everything was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked, the bed and sofa bed were both comfortable, and the balcony was amazing for morning coffee. Everything was light and airy. It was a quiet, peaceful place for us during kind of a busy and chaotic trip to Beaufort. We would definitely stay there again.

Overall the property was excellent. Only two items that lacked were the small bathroom and the springy mattress. The deck off the bedroom was a great place to enjoy the birds. Had a wonderful time

Cottage was very clean inside and well stocked. Bathroom is very small. The tub is difficult to get into especially if you are a short person and claustrophobic with all the plastic shower curtains. Steps leading up to the home were covered in leaves which made it slippery when wet.

Stay was excellent!! My husband and I were in Beaufort to spend Thanksgiving with our children’s family and the accommodations were wonderful! Wish we had more time to use some of the amenities provided! Will definitely look to this property for future stays!!

This was our very first time staying in any kind of vacation home, and we had no idea what to expect. All the hotels were WAY too expensive, and we somehow stumbled upon Vrbo and this home in the area we needed. Very close to Parris Island's Marine Military Base (we were attending a friend's graduation), Beaufort town Square, and lovely little restaurants. Many places were in walking distance! Very clean, had any and all accommodations for us. They even had ziplock bags!!!! Very impressed and happy that this was our first Vrbo experience.
