About this cottage rental
Enjoy your vacation time in our ocean front cottage! Our little home away from home is the last house on first street on the quiet east end of the beach giving you the most private view on the beach. We are a pet friendly home so your pups can enjoy the ocean breeze while safely secured by gates on both porches. There is also a downstairs outdoor lounge area that is perfect for dining after grilling your favorite meals on the beach! *New interior showers 2023

The house was suitable for our 4 adults, 1 child and dogs. The price was suitable for the size and location before all the extra fees and taxes are added on to the price. Over 2 grand in pet and service fees and taxes but when you want to be on the ocean and have to bring the fur babies along then that’s the price to pay. There is a nice size rocking chair deck to enjoy the ocean view. The deck under the house was a bonus when we wanted a break from the hot sun and a place for our extended family who was also staying in oib to gather one night for a cookout with the included propane grill that sits on the beach. The 2 queen bedrooms are ocean front as described in listing but also a side ocean view from the 3rd br with the full and twin beds, at least currently unless more homes are built next door to obstruct that side ocean view. The only thing I found to be an inconvenience with the house was no full length mirrors in the home, I didn’t think to add over the door mirror to my Walmart delivery order until the week was over. Would have liked to seen what my outfits looked like before going out. Everything else included in the house to use was all suitable for our week stay.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beach cottage and cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with stunning views of the ocean and the soothing sound of waves crashing nearby.
The cottage itself was cozy and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay, offering a perfect blend of comfort and seaside charm.
What truly made our experience exceptional was the thoughtfulness towards our furry family member. The private, pet-friendly (gated!) porches made it so easy for us to enjoy our vacation with our beloved pup who likes to be off-leash but has a tendency to run free, at length, and doesn’t listen well when called. ;)
The location was absolutely perfect, just steps away from the beach, allowing us to enjoy morning coffee seaside, take leisurely walks, and enjoy breathtaking sunrise and sunset views each day.
While the interaction with the hosts was minimal, the check-in process was smooth and straightforward, and they provided all the necessary information ahead of time. We had a relaxing and peaceful time during our stay, and the location allowed us to explore the area at our own pace.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience at this beachfront rental and would absolutely consider staying here again in the future.

I loved the home and the location was fantastic! They are pet friendly which is what I was looking for! The owner was easy to speak with! I will be returning in two weeks with my husband for another pleasant getaway!

We loved the house and view but, the house was nasty shower curtain in the green tiled bathroom was covered in mold & mildew , floors were nasty. We had to wash the dishes that were left over from the last guest. We spent an hour cleaning before we unloaded the truck. The bottom inside of the trash can in the kitchen had cooking oil in the bottom of it , so it had to be degree’s which also took the smell away . I under stand that the cleaning company has deadlines and a number of houses but they are paid to do a job . A suggestion one train these people . Teach these people how to clean. Teach the ones who do the inspection what to look for. Second put policies in place for cell phones and smoke breaks. The people who own these homes are paying for a service to be done the right way. I am done now thank you .

We had a great week on OIB while staying in this house. We had 2 adults and 5 young adults and had plenty of room. Close Location to the beach was also perfect.

We were very pleased with our experience at this home at OIB - We stayed at the far west end for years and really enjoyed the east end too - We enjoyed having our fur babies with us too - We especially enjoyed the back deck of the home - looking out at the ocean - just amazing - We hope to be back next year.

We had a great time at this quiet, peaceful beach. The layout of this home was perfect. We loved how close it was to the water, ideal for babies/toddlers who can’t stay out for a long time. Just a heads up- this home does not provide toilet paper, sheets, or paper towels- so pack those things or be prepared to buy them! Great stay! Thanks!

This property is in an amazing location. You are so close to the ocean that you fall asleep to the soothing sound of the waves. The cottage is smaller and quant but the perfect size for two smaller families or one family with several children. The owners are above and beyond in service. My husband left behind a few things they may have seemed unimportant to most but were important to him. The owners shipped them to us! We are so very grateful! We plan to book again in the spring next year.

This beach house was exactly as described. Very clean. The property owners were great to work with. Great location. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need. The beds were comfortable. Great outdoor shower & foot wash. Wonderful deck with table & chairs & rocking chairs. We can’t wait to return next year. Highly recommend this beach house.

We booked this property on a whim and were not disappointed. The location of this property is worth every penny. No neighbors to the left and three steps off the (very large/multiple) deck (s)puts you in the sand. The house was super clean and has all the amenities you might need. Note: you need to bring your own linens (sheets and pillow cases) and towels. The kitchen is very well equipped. Beds were comfy and bedrooms are spacious. The only thing we felt needs updating is the shower heads. Communication with the owners simple enough via email and text.We would definitely book this property again.

This was our first visit to Ocean Isle Beach. The location of this property is fantastic - right on the end of the first row with the beach right outside your door. We have done a lot of VRBOs and this one was pretty great. The only reason for my 4 stars instead of 5 is that you are required to bring all of your own sheets, towels, toilet paper, soap, hand towels, garbage bags, cleaner, etc. That created an additional suitcase for us to pack. The other option is to rent those, which would have made our rental more expensive. My only other comment is that the house is older, and while very clean, the bathrooms are small and tight, with older fixtures. Other than those two things, this house was a great vacation. The kitchen was one of the better stocked we've stayed at, and we were able to easily cook full meals. The house was super clean when we checked in. Being on the end afforded fantastic sunrise views and extra privacy. The outdoor shower with warm water was perfect for chilly beach days! We will definitely be back!

Truly a special place as you sit on the deck, facing the beach, and watch the dolphins frolic in the waves. The position as the last house in the first row gives you great privacy and wonderful views from 3 of the bedrooms. Communication was fast and easy.

We really enjoyed staying at this beach cottage. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed. The view from the front porch is amazing. We loved sitting in the rocking chairs and watching the sun rise and set. The beach is really your backyard! The owners were really helpful and easy to communicate with. Thanks for a great stay!

This house could not have been more perfect for our family vacation at OIB! The location is amazing (last house on 1st Street) and provides plenty of "private" beach space. The outdoor areas of the house provided plenty of space and seating for family cookouts. The kitchen was well stocked and all appliances in good repair. Would recommend for any family vacation!

We were so happy when we arrived. The house was very clean and cheerful. There were gates on the front and back porches so the dogs did not have to be crated when we were not at the villa. The dogs loved the back porch, they could watch the beach and the breeze blowing off the ocean was perfect. Of course, we loved sitting out there also. There was a shower and a hose to get all the sand off us and the dogs. The kitchen has lots of counter space for cooking and very nice appliances all in perfect working order. It was very quiet and peaceful where the house is located. We were very happy and so were our 2 labs Shelby & Millie. The owners are so nice and communicated with us so we could get linens delivered before we arrived. Great time was had by all in this nice beach house!

The location of this place couldn't be better. Directly ON the beach. The home was lovely. Very clean and well maintained. The service was great! The only thing I would change is the sheet/linen order process as unfortunately, they didn't deliver on time so we had 1 night without sheets. Other than that, the place is a delight!

This ocean front house was the perfect place for our family vacation . There was plenty of room for 4 kids ( 2-13 years old ) , 2 parents , 2 grandparents and one very contented dog . The ocean front beach access was convenient for the entire family and we all enjoyed sitting on the back deck in the evening and listening to the waves . We loved everything about this property and can't wait to come back next summer .

What a wonderful property and a great place to spend four glorious days in mid-late September on the beach. Children went "ghost crabbing", made wonderful sand castles and just had great fun. Thanks for a great beach vacation.

This house was perfect for our family! Easily accommodated 7 adults and 3 dogs. The bedrooms were very bright and clean, and the bathrooms were very well maintained. Having ocean front access was so convenient, and it felt like we had a private beach! The view from the back deck is amazing, and the latching gates at the tops of the stairs make it possible to have your dogs outside with you even when they can't be on the beach. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies, and the washer & dryer made the week so much easier.We are definitely planning a return!

My family rented the house to celebrate our mom's 80th birthday. She loves the beach and this house was perfect. The best was waking up to the sound of the ocean in the morning. Coffee on the deck the first thing in the morning watching the surf. Mom had a great time! The house was clean, well stocked and comfortable!

This was the perfect beach house! We couldn't have asked for anything better! It was perfectly situated on the beach with lots of privacy and hardly any through traffic on the street side. The atmosphere was terrific along with grilling with an ocean view! The house was very clean and had every amenity imaginable from the WELL stocked kitchen to the washer and dryer. Even under the house was perfect for hanging a camping hammock, picnicking, or outdoor showering all with a great ocean view. Highly recommend!
