We had the most wonderful vacation at this camp! It’s very comfortable and had everything we needed. Our host was terrific - quick to respond to our questions. The lake is lovely and we so enjoyed sitting by the lake watching the ducks and loons. We spend many hours kayaking, fishing and swimming. This is a great place to spend a week or a month!

We had a great stay with family!! The place was super comfy and a perfect spot on the lake! The kids loved the float and the adults loved playing cards on the screened in porch and the privacy.

Union is a beautiful town and this family homestead is rich in Union history. The family contributed to the Union community, seen by the many landmarks representing the positive impact the Ayer and DeWilde family had on the town of Union. Like many small Maine towns, Union doesn’t lack on charm. We were impressed with the convenience of the location combined with the peaceful tranquil waters of seven tree. Beth’s organic farm stead is just up the road, the local grocer has all the necessities, while Belfast and Camden are just 30 minutes away for more specific needs. We explored the coast and inland areas from this centralized location. All amenities available made for a relaxing stay. Every detail was manicured and preserved. We miss the DeWilde homestead and hope to be back real soon! Thank you, Cathi, for being an all star hostess!

Maine Cottage Paradise
Our stay at this Maine Cottage was perfect. The property was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Gorgeous views of the lake 24 hours a day and excellent fishing. I'm sure swimming would have been great too, but it was a little early in the year for that in Maine.
My wife and I were raised in Union and this cottage was the perfect "home away from home" for our vacation.
All of our interaction with the owner was pleasant and timely. She really went above and beyond to make sure the cottage was prepared, clean, and ready for our stay. We are really hoping to make this our regular getaway for our yearly family vacation.

Comfortable, Gorgeous Views on Crystal Lake
This property was not quite as secluded as I expected as the main road was close and a little noisy. But with the nearly constant breezes from the beautiful lake we soon forgot about road noise. The little beach is delightful, and we had fires on three nights as we toasted marshmallows under the spectacular stars. The fishing was good too, but those tricky bass were hard to land! We released what we caught anyway. The first day there were fish spawning at the bank and ospreys kept up their continuous patrol, catching with much greater success than we had ourselves.
I was disappointed to find a note saying the washing machine did not work, but we made do.
My husband took the canoe out one day and the wind got the better of him...he couldn't get back to shore! A kind neighbor spotted his predicament and rescued him, bringing the canoe around by land.
Birdwatching was enjoyable with Baltimore oriole, yellow warbler, kingfisher, and red-winged blackbird to name a few that came right in front of the house. Hubby spotted a bald eagle as he waited for his rescuer. On the rocks, a chipmunk seemed to delight in playing hide and seek with our little dog!
Best of all...the loons! The pair didn't have a chick, but they came by at least once a day serenely floating, diving and calling. They gave us a real serenade one night after dark when they were quite close. It's one of nature's most ethereal and captivating sounds, and the main reason I came to Maine. Breathtaking!
This house is rustic and charming. Lots of comfortable seating for sitting around chatting, The kitchen is tight but perfectly adequate, and the enclosed porch with dining and seating areas was where we spent most of our time. That view just drew us out!
If you want luxury, look elsewhere. If you like homey, you'll like this. Just what a lake house should be.

Great vacation home
This house is situated on quiet Seven Tree pond and it is very clean and well maintained, with a huge grass yard in front and the water in the back. A nice enclosed deck gives a great view of the water and of the eagles diving down to catch fish. The interior was very clean and easily accommodated the ten relatives that we had over for the day. Just about everything that you have in your own home could be found here. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and we would definitely return and we would recommend this location to others.
