The house has five master suites all with their own baths, plus a magnificent great room, game room, den, loft, large kitchen with island, and dining room that seats 12. The lodge was built in 2012 by the Wadsworth Company, and designed with noted Montana builder Highline Partners, to inspire guests with one of a kind mountain and river views, relaxation, outdoor activity, and intimate time with family and friends.
There are multiple areas for gathering and entertaining: the great room with grand lodge fireplace and coffee table over looking the West River, the den with fireplace, HDTV and XBox, the loft with reading area and 6 person card table, the game room with fireplace, pool table, shuffleboard, and bar, the kitchen with large island and wet bar, and the porch with comfortable couch and chairs overlooking the river. The bedrooms are as follows:
Log Cabin Room (1 king bed)
First floor bedroom designed as an elegant and cozy log cabin with a two person soaking tub and view of scenic on West River. En suite bathroom with double sinks, soaking tub, and rain shower. There is plenty of room to add one of the lodge's fold out beds.
River Room (1 king bed)

Mountain Room (1 Queen, 1 XL twin)

Trout Room (1 Queen)
Second floor bedroom designed after a fly-fishing lodge with vintage fly-fishing gear and river front view. En suite bathroom with large rain shower. There is plenty of room to add one of the lodge's fold out beds.
Bunk Room (1 Queen, 3 XL twin)
Ground floor bedroom designed as a relaxing camp bunk room with with 4 beds. It has a large bunk bed with queen on the bottom and XL twin on top, and two XL twins. En suite bathroom with double sinks, and large rain shower.
Additional Beds (1 queen + 2 single beds)
The house also includes two foldable single beds and one queen blow up mattress. The single beds are perfect to add to the Mountain Room to make it a 5 person bunk room, or to add a bed to any of the other bedrooms. Put the queen mattress in the den to make it a sixth bedroom, with its own bathroom on the first floor.
The house is an all season retreat with Stratton’s award winning skiing and golf course 7 miles away. Mt. Snow is 15 miles away and Bromley Mountain is 17 miles. The island has miles of trails for snowshoeing and cross country skiing in the winter, and hiking and mountain biking during the fall and summer. You are steps from fishing for salmon and trout, and swimming during the summer. Enjoy the barbeque and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and telling stories. Jamaica State Park is 1 mile away with extensive hiking, biking, snowshoe, and cross country skiing trails.
The house is located on a 100 acre private island on the West River, which only has two other homes, and is accessed by a scenic covered bridge.
When you are at Dreamcatcher Lodge you are transported to a rustic mountain retreat that embodies the grand mountain homes of Montana, Colorado, and Wyoming, yet is only 3.5 hours from New York, and 2.5 hours from Boston.
Each room has been uniquely designed with a theme that has been achieved by a western architect and interior designer. The great room is framed with massive windows overlooking the river and a grand lodge fireplace, family sitting area, and chess table. The construction of the house embraces reclaimed material, using beams from old barns, antique white oak flooring, Douglas fir siding from old factories, and railings that came out of a 1800’s Victorian hotel.
The house is 1 mile from the town of Jamaica. Jamaica is a charming Vermont town with two excellent restaurants (Astas and Three Mountain Inn), three bed and breakfasts (Jamaica House, Astas, and Three Mountain Inn), craft and antique shops, coffee shop (Jamaica Coffee House), and market (D&K Market) with fresh baked goods and everything you need.
Children are welcome. Keep in mind that the lodge is appointed with fine furniture and art, so supervision is suggested. Also keep in mind that the lodge is located on a river, so children should not play by the river unsupervised.
Spa and massage services are available by appointment.

Phenomenal location, spotless property, great spot to get away from everything and relax. Right on the river just as advertised. River has a dug out pool to swim in. Highly recommend.

Amazing house in idyllic setting. The house is spacious and well-appointed. Property is very private yet close to Stratton. Kitchen has all of the necessary items. The lower level entertainment area is really comfortable. The sound of the river is soothing - have to imagine a great spot in warm weather. My entire group loved the house.

Dreamcatcher lodge was the perfect place for us to stay with our friends and their kids for a weekend away. The house is beautiful, spacious, and well equipped. The property and location is magical! And the proximity to Stratton can't be beat. On top of all that our host provided all the information we needed for the house and great recommendations for the area. He even called just to make sure we were enjoying our stay. We loved our weekend away!

Dreamcatcher was the perfect venue for our 11 person, family & friends, ski trip. The house is a big, beautiful post & beam lodge with the most tranquil setting on the banks of the West River. Well stocked and very clean. Jeremy was a caring, attentive host. We look forward to our next stay.

Wonderful stay again at the Dreamcatcher home! Sitting on the porch listening to the river is heavenly. We want for nothing when staying there and thoroughly enjoy the house. So convenient to Stratton and Mt. Snow as well as Okemo not too far down the road! Thank you Jeremy!

We loved every minute of our stay! Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. Sitting out on the porch listening to the river was so nice and relaxing. There was plenty of wood for warming fires and Jeremy even had a Christmas tree since we were there over Christmas. We hope to get back here again in the future!

Great property to stretch out and enjoy your Vermont stay! This home has it all, great assortment of spaces to enjoy ranging from the outdoor fireplace, covered deck, massive finished basement with bar, pool table, shuffle board and t.v. area as well as a bunk bed bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms. Open concept first floor with soaring two story living room with awesome field stone fireplace and beautiful views of the West River, fully appointed kitchen with double ovens, viking propane range top and large Island. All the bedrooms have full bathrooms with large tile showers, the main bedrooms shower is the size of some homes...it's fantastic! Our group really enjoyed this home and couldn't get enough of relaxing by the outdoor fire pit awhile listing to the river which is only a stones throw away. You could enjoy this home all year round as it is located conveniently to many attractions, I highly recommend this home. We have visited a few different properties in the area but by far this is our favorite and will be hard to beat! And for the summer visitors there is a very nice natural swimming pool build in to the river edge that you can access from a set of natural stone stairs, I can only imagine how amazing that would be during the summer!

"Dreamcatcher" ... The perfect Vermont retreat
Family and friends had a great week at Dreamcatcher Lodge in Jamaica Vermont. Only a 15 minute drive to Stratton Mountain and 20 min drive to Mt Snow. There was plenty of room for all to spread out. The teens hung out in the finished basement equipped with a pool table , shuffleboard table and Netflix while the adults relaxed by the fire during the cold evenings. A large dining table was perfect for catered and home cooked meals from the well portioned kitchen. The homeowner Jeremy provided his number and reached out to us to answer pre trip questions. A property manager made sure the driveway was plowed and de-iced and provided plenty of firewood. This secluded property provided gorgeous views of the snow covered river bordering the west side of the lot. We've stayed in the Stratton area many times over the past several years, Dreamcatcher tops the list!

Family Reunion at Dreamcatcher
The Dreamcatcher Lodge was the 2021 choice for our annual Fall Sibling and Spouses Reunion (10 adults total). Previously, we've stayed in homes from Maine to Vermont to The Berkshires to Upstate New York. The Dreamcatcher Lodge was by far our best choice! It had every base covered for us; a spectacular setting, five bedrooms with full baths in each room, a fully-stocked kitchen with a double oven and fabulous gas stove top, a dining room that accommodated all of us comfortably at one table, a game room along with a yard with ample room for game-playing (we're a competitive bunch!), an outdoor fire pit for late night hanging out and plenty of space within the house to find a quiet place to read or just relax and catch a quick nap.
Unlike most of our reunions, we stayed "on property" for the entire time we were there; a combination of COVID caution and the fact that the Dreamcatcher provided such a wonderful haven.
Lastly, Jeremy and his property manager were always available, highly responsive and clearly wanted to ensure that all went right for us.
We may have found a permanent home for future reunions!

Dreamcatcher Lodge is one of a kind!
Our stay at the Dreamcatcher Lodge was outstanding! The house was amazing and much better than the photos could do it justice. The location along the West river was beautiful and the sound of the water was peaceful and relaxing.
The house has everything you could need for your stay and more! The attention to detail in the construction of the house and the interior decor is impeccable down to the accent lights that create an amazing ambiance.
The location of the house in Jamaica, VT is close to many activities including hiking, fishing, skiing and sightseeing.
I would highly recommend the Dreamcatcher Lodge to anyone looking to stay in southern Vermont!

Gorgeous house
We loved the house.it is beautiful and well maintained. But it is not air conditioned. And it was in the 90s every day hot at night too. The river is glorious although you can’t boat in it or swim. There is not really anywhere to take a nice long walk. The roads are highways not country roads. This all sounds negative, but we had a great time. Just not exactly what we expected. And it’s close to all kinds of wonderful places to swim canoe and hike.

Great for a large family get-away
Beautiful property and very clean. We had a family of 13 (from Colorado, Pennsylvania and Connecticut) who stayed for a week and it was such a perfect get away. The best equipped VRBO we've ever been in (kitchen, bathroom, fire pit etc). The sound of the river at night was soothing. As soon as the river level went down a bit (lots of recent rain), the kids had a fun afternoon playing in the river.
Manager was very responsive for our few questions or the need for extra trash removal. Highly recommend.

Great 50th anniversary get together
This is a wonderful property in a absolutely beautiful area of Vermont. The house is amazing as well as the river in front of it. The owner was very responsive and helpful. The kids lived the pool table and the shuffle board as well as the swimming area in the river just in front of the house.

Dreamcatcher Lodge
This property is large, well-stocked - from kitchen to games to linens to firewood, and comfortably liveable.
But the best part is the moments that vacationing here allows you to create. The personal greeting from the property manager and owner; the peaceful sounds of the river; the wildlife sightings and fishing opportunities; dinners around the dining table and s’mores around the campfire; afternoon board games and nightly shuffleboard tournaments…….all combine to make some very memorable moments.

Perfect winter escape.
This house is a perfect winter get away destination. It is spacious yet cozy and offers a host of activities from skiing to snow shoeing. Because of COVID, we ate all meals at home and the kitchen was well equipped. Our family favorites were the game room and outdoor fire pit which kept everyone entertained in the evenings.

Lovely retreat!
Spent a super relaxing week here with my family at the end of the summer. The stream is wonderful, outside seating is abundant, lots of terrific fire side time. The house is super private and quiet, surrounded by green. Excellent cookware and supplies, very comfortable. Terrific bike riding in this area. Would stay gone for sure!

Amazing Retreat
Beautiful well kept house that is located in the perfect spot to enjoy all that Southern VT has to offer. Spacious and well decorated it is truly a special home that provides families a perfect getaway with access to skiing, hiking and fishing. The “game room” will keep the kids busy while adults enjoy time by the river. Super well stocked kitchen with everything you need for cooking and entertaining. Peaceful location provides opportunity to really relax, but also immediate fun with river walks and quick hikes right out the front door. Responsive owner and easy access. Really loved our Summer stay and we will be back in the Winter (fingers crossed)!

Perfect Vacation
This beautiful home just steps from the West River was the perfect place to meet close family for a getaway. The house itself is stunning and had everything we needed; we honestly could have never left the property and would have been perfectly happy relaxing on the porch and by the river. But it was also a great base for hiking the trails on the island (including an amazing suspension bridge recently built by the owner!), in Jamaica State Park, and on Stratton Mountain. Golfing at Stratton was another highlight. The kids (five ranging from 10-15) also entertained themselves for hours exploring the river in water shoes, and playing pool and shuffleboard in the house. The entire group enjoyed the selection of board games. The owner, Jeremy, and property manager, Chris, were a pleasure to work with - thanks for everything! We cannot wait to return one day soon.

Beautiful, peaceful spot by the river.
Our family chose this beautiful spot for our first summer holiday in Vermont. It was a lovely, peaceful place to be together. The house is comfortably furnished, and the kitchen is perfectly equipped for those who like to cook. Drag one of the wooden chairs down to the river and watch the river otter frolic in the early morning while you drink a cup of tea. Great start to the day.

Vermont Paradise
Our annual visit to this property did not disappoint once again. The house was spotless the location ideal and our stay was wonderful. This gem of a house is located right on the river, falling asleep every night with the windows open listening to the sound of the water is pure paradise.

Annual family tradition!!
We have enjoyed staying at Dreamcatcher Lodge every summer for several years. The owner, Jeremy is a breeze to work with. The house is always clean and the kitchen is fully stocked for cooking a great meal. The location is fabulous, right on the river. We love falling asleep with the windows open listening to the sounds of the river. The bedrooms are all comfortable and the basement is perfect for the kids to hang out and sleep. We look forward to returning here for many more summers.

Great house- you won’t want to leave !
We had our annual “dads ski trip” and we’re very excited to book this house. When we walked in, we realized that the pictures did not do the house justice. It was an amazing experience for our group. The location was unreal and so peaceful. We are looking forward to booking this house again on our next trip!

Absolutely spectacular!!!
We can't say enough about our stay at Dreamcatcher Lodge. Our jaws dropped as soon as we walked into the house. It is truly like something out of a magazine. We couldn't believe it could get any better until we went outside and saw the sprawling yard steps away from the crystal clear river. The house was stocked with everything we needed. Our family spent four days comfortably lounging around cooking food in the top notch kitchen, playing pool in the game room, and just enjoying one another. We hated leaving!!!! This place is one in a million.

Incredible Family Trip
This place was perfect for our family trip. Big enough so we all had our space but more than accommodating for family time and meals. It was relaxing for the adults and there was always something to keep the kids busy. The house is definitely more suited for the cooler weather months but the incredible basement always provided a place to cool off when it got too hot. The river wasn't a bad place to cool off either! 2 of the fans that were in the house were broken when we arrived but there were 3 others for everyone using the upstairs bedrooms. Thanks again for allowing us to use this amazing property!

One of the best experiences we have had
We put together a small ski group together and spent time in this house. The craftsmenship and design is wonderful. It has a beautiful kitchen, fireplace, game room, and ample space for guests. We spent a vast amount of our time just talking about how wonderful the house was. The owner and property manager were gracious and helpful. I would definitely come back to this location in the future.

Absolutely Amazing!
Our family of 13 stayed at the Dreamcatcher Lodge the week of Christmas 2016. We couldn't of asked for a more beautiful home. The view and sound of the river was perfect as we sat by the fire pit outside or inside cozy by the fireplace. It had top notch amenities, and plenty of open space for the entire family. The kitchen had everything you could need and the game room downstairs was perfect for family fun. I could just go on and on...there is not one negative I could say. Thank you so much for making the most amazing memory for my family that will last forever.

Incredibly Peaceful
We stayed at this house the last week of July and had a wonderful time. The house is stunningly beautiful, and the river running behind the house provides the most relaxing sound as you fall asleep. Everything you need is in the house, beds are very comfortable, there is a double oven for cooking and plenty of space at the table for the whole gang! Be aware there is no AC and the week we were there it got pretty warm. The house was very clean and well maintained. In winter I am sure the area is bustling, but in the summer there is not much close by. The local grocer is a very small store that has everything but at very high prices. Recommend shopping in Londonderry, it is much more reasonable. Definitely consider this house, I would recommend it without hesitation!
