Welcome to the Frontside Hacienda! Part of Ark River Haciendas located on the banks of the Arkansas River, this newly remodeled, spacious and private oasis is just what you need for your Salida vacation getaway!
Located in the ♥️ of downtown Salida, you will be just footsteps away from all of the best things this city has to offer. From river fun, kayaking, rafting, tubing, fishing, hiking, biking, to shopping, galleries, coffee shops, sampling local eats and brews and enjoying live music, to skiing at Monarch (only 25 minutes away), ice skating, snowmobiling, and so much more. Play hard all day, then come home and relax, sip on your favorite beverage while soaking in the hot tub in the courtyard. Frontside Hacienda is the perfect spot for entertaining & enjoying time with family and friends! Location! Location! Location!
The Frontside Hacienda is part of a duplex. If you have a large group and need more space, we also have the Riverside Hacienda (VRBO # 869751) located on the back or river side of the property that may be available for your dates. Please let us know if you might be interested in booking both units together!
Frontside Hacienda:
-Enjoy the expansive & fully equipped kitchen with an island dining table. Accordion window in the kitchen opens up to the courtyard.
-The master suite includes a king bed & private bath.
-The first bedroom includes two twin size beds.
-The second bedroom includes two queen size beds.
-A second full bath is located down the hall from the bedrooms near the entryway.
-The courtyard off of the kitchen has a gas grill for the nights you want to stay in a BBQ.
-The hot tub is in the private courtyard with an outdoor dining area & indoor/outdoor bar window off of the kitchen.
-There are 2 cruiser bikes provided for guest use.
-Laundry is available and located in a closet in the kitchen area.
-The Frontside Hacienda does not have A/C.
Frontside Hacienda is a dog friendly home! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs with prior approval, pet policy agreement, and a nonrefundable fee of $100/stay.
Toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, trash bags, coffee filters as well as face, hand, & bath towels are all provided.

It is on the beautiful tow on Salida right on the river. We watched the sun coming up over the mountain sitting on the deck listening to the river. The place was spacious with all the equipment in the kitchen we needed. Wonderful island were we spent a lot of family time eating and enjoying life.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Frontside Hacienda. We were initially concerned about the lack of air conditioning, but there were plenty of fans to keep us cool at night.

We loved this place. Great floor plan. Awesome kitchen and a two block walk to downtown Salida. It has a ton of character. Definitely would stay there again. Nice hot tub too.

Excellent location!! Near the river and within walking distance to the grocery store, restaurants, and shops. The house had everything we needed. Kitchen was great! Beds were very comfortable. My son’s dog was with us and it was the perfect location for walking him. We enjoyed skiing at Monarch Mountain which is only a 30 minute drive.

We absolutely LOVED staying here! The location is EVERYTHING! We were able to walk to all the restaurants and cute shops in downtown. Sitting in the hot tub and watching the stars at night was priceless! We will definitely be back!

Recently stayed at the Frontside Hacienda with my wife, adult children and their significant others. We’ve stayed in Salida several times before and FH is the best place we’ve stayed. It is so convenient to everything Salida has to offer, especially the river. We loved the layout of the property, especially the open concept kitchen, and took full advantage of the hot tub. Kristan was very responsive to all communication and helped with a couple questions we had. I would definitely recommend this property and hope to return!

Frontside is just a few steps to the river. The activity on the Arkansas varies throughout the day. Very calm and peaceful in the morning and loads of action during the afternoon. Its a fun spot!

We loved our stay and you can't beat the location. House was clean and the property manager was very responsive. Only nitpicks with the house were there are only two fairly small parking spots, the kitchen is kind of awkward to use due to everything being cramped in the corner, and both bathrooms have VERY dim lighting. However, all in all it was a great place to stay.

I would have come here to sing high praises under normal circumstances, but this goes above and beyond. Not only was the place phenomenal, amazing location, the hot tub was hot and working, every little added touch was included in this vrbo. BUT!! The day we checked out I received a message from the owner that maybe I had forgotten something? It was my wedding band. You can imagine how distraught I was! Kristan made it all ok, took care to communicate with me, sent me my ring via tracked FedEx, no questions asked! Solid owner, solid rental, just the kind of experience that makes you have faith in humanity again!

We had a great time getting away to Salida for a few days. House is designed really well. Perfect for our family. Loved that we could easily walk to dining and shopping, I love Salida and this location is perfect. The courtyard and hot tub were fun in the evening and we loved the lights strung across the courtyard. It would be even more fun in the summer as it was a bit cold while we were there.

Nice, private place for family & friends to stay. Good location, short walk to park, shops & restaurants. Had a few minor issues that were delt with promptly by the property manager. Kitchen had everything needed to make some good home cooked meals. King bed was extra firm, so not ideal for us, but not bad. Check out list was short/reasonable, not like other places we've stayed in the past. We would stay here again.

This is our third year staying at the Haciendas. It is great for our large group. So many things to do in town when some of the group go skiing. Kristan is the best host and takes care of things quickly.

We loved the location of the property. Once we arrived, we walked everywhere including the grocery store and restaurants. We were there for a ski vacation and it was an easy drive to Monarch Mountain, about 25 minutes. Plenty of space for a family. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal. We've stayed in the Frontside Hacienda almost every year for the past 5 years. It never disappoints. It has a very nice kitchen, very clean, and comfortable. The location is second to none if you're looking to be within walking distance to everything in downtown Salida. I would recommend this house to anyone wishing to stay in Salida.

Just needs a few upgrades: pillows flat, mattress a bit too firm, jacuzzi only had 1 jet working. This is a beautiful property for a small group of friends spending the weekend together. The hot tub was glorious, plenty of beds for everybody, 2 large bathrooms and a kitchen with everything we needed to cook a few meals. The patio was a favorite, especially at night with the lighting when we made use of the hot tub. We did need to find on-street parking since we had more than 2 cars, but that was easy. The house is so close to restaurants, bars, the park where the fiber festival was located, and the river. We've stayed here before, and I'm sure we'll be back!
