About this house rental

This is a very comfortable home with a perfect set-up for a family or couples. It is on a private driveway from which you can walk to town yet is a wonderful retreat from the town.
There are plenty of of year round activities or rest in the tranquility of a historic town. There is a huge private yard and deck overlooking the Taconic Mountains. A very gentle winter sliding hill and summer chipping practice in the back yard.
The home features a unique set-up for 2 families. This is not the traditional rental as it is our vacation home with all the amenities you could want

The Main level has an open floor plan with kitchen, dining area and living room with smart TV. The remodeled kitchen has everything a chef would need. There is a deck (with a Weber grill) that overlooks the yard and mountains. Enjoy the fireplace and wood for a great winter fire!
The upper level has the large master bedroom overlooking the mountains with a king bed, walk in closet and, a full bath and TV.
Another bedroom upstairs has 2 twin beds and a walk in closet.

The lower level has its own family room with TV, a large 3rd bedroom with a queen and 2 twin beds. That level has another full bath.

The entire home is warmly decorated with well stocked kitchen for a chef and 3 smart or Roku enabled TVs, Wi-Fi, AC throughout and other amenities.

A 3 night minimum most of the year and a 30 day minimum from June 15 - September 15.

Keywords: Located on Eagle Nest Road, a private road on a peaceful bluff above the downtown. It is an easy walk to Main St and restaurants, the renowned Northshire bookstore and other shopping.
This beautifully decorated home has 2 family rooms on different levels which offers privacy for families or kids.

The property was amazing and everything was just like it looked in the photos. The family had an excellent week skiing and the house is walking distance to town and a 5 minute ride to Bromley.

3 friends and I stayed for 3 nights...loved the house. Cozy, comfortable and had all of the amenities we needed. Communication with John was great. Ideal location...so close to Manchester Village and local ski areas. We'd definitely stay here again!

This place was perfect for our family and for a skiing trip! It was close to downtown coffee shops restaurants and the ski mountains. We loved the three levels because it allowed for a private space for one family with kids and the rest of the house was all set. It worked out so well! The kitchen was equipped with everything people needed to cook.

We had a lovely experience. So much we already booked another weekend. House was very clean. Close to everything from shopping to skiing and John is lovely to work with. Looking forward to our next stay.

Our family has been renting John's place for a few years now to ski at Bromley. The house has a perfect layout for our kids to have space and it well equipped. It's cozy and truly feels like a home and not a rental. The location in town is perfect for restaurants but also still close to Bromley. We'll be back!

My friends and I stayed here for a summer fishing trip. the House was great. We each had plenty of space, and there were a ton of conveniences for us to cook and do laundry. The location was really convenient to everything we wanted to see in Manchester and beyond.

This was our 2nd time staying at this house and will actually be back again later in February. My family and I love this place. We are a family of 5 with a couple teenage kids and this house has the perfect mix of cozy family space and room to spread out. The location is great (close to restaurants and shops) and a short drive to Bromley snd Stratton. The kitchen is well stocked and the bedrooms and very comfortable. A huge plus for my daughter is the sledding hill right off the back deck!! We always come with sleds for her to enjoy! I also need to comment that John is a terrific host. He is always responsive and friendly! He makes the entire process stress free.

We really enjoyed our stay. This home was lovely and comfortable for our family of five. Location was perfect with Bromley only a few minutes a way and many close options for dining at night. We hope to be back!

We have visited the Manchester area during foliage season for two decades. This property was our favorite The property is clean, spacious, and had every amenity for our needs. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with ample everyday necessities. The location near town makes it convenient to access grocery stores and restaurants. The mountain view is lovely. It is quite apparent to us that the owners care about their home. The interior design is coordinated and tasteful. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our stay immensely. We hope to be back!

We were up in Vermont in Vermont for my father’s burial. The Eagles Nest was perfect for our family and very clean , comfortable and cozy. When I booked I didn’t realize our parents had stayed at the exact condo years before . Made the stay so comforting. The renovations are well done and tasteful. Plan on staying here again!

We stayed at Eagles Nest with two other couples and two children under one year, and what a great stay! The layout is perfect for a large group, giving plenty of space for everyone including the babies. The owners worked hard to ensure our stay was fun, and were very easy to communicate with/responsive. The location is amazing and has the best of both worlds - a quick walk into town, not far from the ski mountains and set up on a pretty and private hill. We will definitely be back! Thanks for making our weekend easy and enjoyable!

This property was spacious and clean . Very cozy. Location was great for skiing at mulltiple mountains . 20 minutes from Stratton, 10 from Bromley , 20 minutes to magic mountain and 45 to Mt. snow. we did 3 mountains. Also lots of great restaurants nearby . We had a great stay .

Spent a long weekend in Manchester, it was our first time and the house could not have been more perfect. Well stocked kitchen and linens, the place was super cozy for a cold weekend. Updated kitchen and bathrooms were very nice as well. Bromley is a quick 10 minute drive and is really easy to get to from town. Lots of good restaurants within a short drive. We have three small kids and the house was larger than expected for them to play in. John was also very responsive with a question we had, which was reassuring. If you’re considering this house just book it, you won’t be disappointed!!

I can't say enough positive things about this property. My family and i stayed here over the extended Thanksgiving weekend (me, wife, 2 teen boys and my 7 year old daughter). This place is terrific and deserves the 5 stars that i gave it for all categories. The 3 floors allows everyone to have their own space, but when we wanted to spend quality time together we were always comfortable. The place is decorated with great Vermont style and the kitchen and bathrooms were stocked way more than we ever expected (or experienced with other rentals). There was plenty of fire wood to make a nice fire at night. And John was super responsive with any questions i had during my stay. The location is perfect! It is set back from the main room with great views of the mountains. And parking was super convenient. We wanted a place that was close to Manchester center and convenient to Stratton. This definitely met those requirements. And the early snowfall allowed my daughter to go sledding right off the back deck. That made her trip! We will definitely be returning!

Our group had a great time staying in this home. It’s so close to downtown we walked every time we went. Sites such as Hildene House, Southern Vermont Art Center and Mt Equinox were a short drive away. The home was clean and had everything we needed and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck and using the grill. The Wifi worked spotlessly for those of us who are too foolish to have delayed retirement and had to work. We were able to watch Netflix at night on the SMART tv in the living room. The hosts were so very easy to work with and easy to reach when we had a couple of questions! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home! We’re going to miss it!
