This is a perfect location to reaching many amazing places in RMNP and more. It's not a cabin where you are sandwiched in near multiple other people. There is a lovely view of Mt Meeker, forest and more. You're in the forest, so you do have to be alert to wildlife. I have seen moose right from the porch. It's a quiet area, and I love it. I've stayed there three times now.

Debby and Bernie are fantastic hosts! The charming cabin is away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and is well stocked and well labeled with everything you could possibly need. Debby took great care to get us checked in and made sure everything was in order. We hope to stay again in the future!

Another awesome stay at the BlueBell. We love the cabin and the serenity offered by its location.
The first night we heard a Mountain Lion out back behind the cabin. Days later while hiking behind the cabin and into Rocky Mountain National Park, we saw Mountain Lion tracks in the soft dirt of the trail.
We also got to see a large Bull Moose very close. I had gone out to my truck to get a case of water and when I turned around to cross the road, the Moose was slowly walking across the road about 20 feet from me. Another evening Teri heard Elk bugling in the distance.
We had lots of Birds coming to our feeders – 3 species of Nuthatches, 2 species of Chickadees, Stellar’s Jays, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, many Common Ravens and a Hawk.
We prefer to stay out of Estes Park (Too touristy), but had a few great meals in Allenspark at the Meadow Mountain Café and the Rock Creek Tavern & Pizzeria. The coffee was great at Meadow Mountain Café, I had never had it with a pinch of cinnamon in it before that. We checked another item off of our bucket list, we got to drive Old Fall River Road on the last day that it was open for the season. An awesome experience plus saw some great scenery and wildlife.
Thanks you for your hospitality and letting us stay at Blue Bell. A very nice, well stocked, cabin in a very serene area in the shadow of Mount Meeker. We enjoyed the cookies that you had ready for us on our arrival.
This was our second stay at the Rocky Mountain BlueBell and hope to be back.

Debby & Bernie were very accommodating when we arrived early. Great communication. We stayed at Bluebell cabin 9/17/23 through 9/25/23. The cabin is so cozy, clean and extremely well stocked. We enjoyed the beautiful views from every direction and coffee on the front porch in the morning. The wood stove was awesome in the evenings. We hope to stay again in the future. Thank you Debby and Bernie for a wonderful experience. Take care, Linda and Denny

I loved this place the first time I stayed that I had to get specifically this cabin again for my honeymoon. The location is wonderful, we took hikes right from there, and sitting in the yard is fantastic too. Very quiet, peaceful area with lovely scenery. It's in a great location to go to many wonderful sights. we went to places like Lily Lake, Chapel on the Rock, Estes Park, RMNP, Bear Lake, and more. For a further drive we went places like Pikes Peek, Garden of the Gods, Alpine Visitors Center, and more. It's a great place to get a real feel for forest and mountains.

This was one of our best stays in Colorado. This cute little cabin in the secluded mountains was absolutely amazing! We only left a couple of times because everything you would need or want was right here. We did eat at Rock Creek Tavern (the best pizza ever) twice. The views were awesome, the cabin was so clean and perfectly organized. We saw a bear our first full day, a momma moose and her calf the second and third days, lots of hummingbirds and other birds. The hosts, Debby and Bernie are wonderful people. We really enjoyed getting to know them and learning about the area from them. We loved this place so much we immediately rebooked for a fall trip. We are counting down the days to return. ❤️❤️

Debby and Bernie were there to meet us at check in. We were given a thorough tour of the cabin and surrounding property. The cabin was supplied with everything we needed and more, all very organized. We enjoyed the hummingbirds daily visits, relaxing on the nice covered front porch and hiking that was so close by. One afternoon we were blessed with a beautiful double rainbow from the front porch. The evenings were so quiet and the sky was filled with twinkling stars. This cabin is located close to the historic stone chapel and several entries into Rocky Mountain National Park.as well as Estes Park. If we are in the area again, we would love to come back to the cozy Bluebell cabin.

We had a wonderful stay! The place is small, but perfect for our family.
The cabin was super clean and had everything you could possibly need. The owners were very helpful and gave us all the information we needed to enjoy our stay, including great hiking and restaurant recommendations. The cabin was close to Estes Park, but also felt like we had the mountains to ourselves.

Debby and Bernie were excellent hosts! This is a super cute cabin near the end of a quiet dirt road leading toward the eastern base of Mt Meeker which presides in its (almost) 14,000-foot grandeur over the scene. The cabin is neat and clean and incredibly well stocked with everything you could need—and may have forgotten to bring—for your stay. Sleeping in the cozy, queen-sized cubby and waking up to a sun-soaked view of Mt Meeker was particularly satisfying and delightful. Hiking trails to Lookout Mountain and Horsetooth Peak (also visible from the cabin) and Wild Basin begin a quarter mile up the road and the Long’s Peak, Wild Basin, and Twin Sisters entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park are just a few minutes away by car. We hope to visit again!

We own two properties nearby, but didn’t have enough room for our family reunion. Bluebell is only a few minutes away and provided a welcome additional space.
The cabin is very comfortable, with great views, and had everything we needed.

Rocky Mountain National Park without the crowds
This is a clean comfortable family cabin just minutes by car from the Wild Basin entrance. Or the trail at the end of the dead end road it is on takes you there in 20 minutes. When you are at the cabin you are surrounded by aspen groves and ponderosa pines. The owners cabin is across the street and another nearby but during my week long stay I only saw two hikers go by and two groups on horseback from nearby stables. The sights at Wild basin are amazing, including Copeland Falls, Calypso Cascades and Ouzel Falls. Those 3 are an easy half day hike. I also did full day hikes to Finch Lake and Sandbeach Lake. They were beautiful and uncrowned. There were very few hikers and most of the time I was alone in the woods. Then, 20 minutes away is the fun but crowded tourist attraction of Estes Park. Also 20 minutes away is the gem of the park, Bear Lake and numerous easy, beautiful hikes. But be prepared for crowds. Finally after all that walking drive up Trail Ridge Road and see the view from 12,000 ft.
But back to the cabin. The owner has thought of everything and you will love it. From the friendly hummingbirds that greet you as you put up the feeder in the morning, to the comfortable glider and beautiful seating areas outside. All the appliances you need, comfortable bedding and a GREAT hot shower await you after a day playing in the park. It is so quiet and peaceful. You will love it

Couldn’t have been any better
I’ve hesitated to leave this review because the experience was so incredible that I’m afraid it will make it harder for me to rent this cabin again in the future. The owners are great people and incredibly easy to work with. The cabin was perfect in every way (facility/location) fully equipped and I can’t imagine a better setting with the mountains. It’s close enough to the park entrances but far enough away from Estes park that you can enjoy the solitude. One of the best experiences I have had renting through vrbo. Thank you so much Debby and Bernie hope to see you again

Awesome get away in an ideal setting
In a word - perfect! The location was everything we were looking for and we were able to relax in a very comfortable setting. Debbie is an awesome host, and the animals we saw from the front porch were incredible. Chipmunks, rabbits, elk, moose, hummingbirds and bats. This is such a special place and we look forward to coming back soon!

Wonderful base for your adventures.
The Bluebell cabin has everything you need for your stay in the mountains. The hosts Debby and Bernie thought of anything you might need during your vacation and provide the items you might have forgotten to bring and come in handy. Thank you both for being so dog friendly. The walks around the house are fabulous and our furbaby loved them. We enjoyed the nearby hikes, Estes and the well working internet!
Hope to be back!

A great vacation
We truly enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin in the mountains. The cabin was equipped with everything we could ever imagine needing for our stay and more. The scenery and wildlife were exquisite. There were fantastic hiking opportunities directly from the property and it was a short drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. The owners, Debby and Bernie, were excellent hosts! They made the check-in process very easy and helped to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. We look forward to staying at the Bluebell cabin again.

Awesome stay
We had a very nice relaxing week at Bluebell. Greeted right away by the owners, who had everything labeled & great video describing everything in the cabin. They checked in a few times making sure everything was ok, especially with our dogs when they got sick. Views spectacular, wish we could of enjoyed a campfire. Cabin was very well stocked with everything & very pet friendly. Granted it was a little drive into Estes, well worth it, for quiet & relaxation.

Peace on the mountain
We had a wonderful time at the bluebell cabin. The host was so thoughtful and helpful and the cabin was incredibly well organized. My son loved the little loft, he called it his apartment lol. It was so quiet there that the only noise we usually heard were the hummingbirds. It’s a short 20-25 minute to the national park. Plenty of trails all over the area. One night we were roasting marshmallows behind the cabin and a mother and baby moose walked by. Overall, it was an amazing and super peaceful experience.

Bluebell Cabin in Allenspark, CO
Loved everything about this except parking to unload. My husband does have cardiac issues and I have some neuro issues. We should have been told that we park at the hosts cabin across the road and carry everything up to the cabin. But other than that the peace & quiet from it being so remote we loved. The cabin was extremely well stocked. And Debbie & Bernie were gracious hosts. The very BEST. The views of Mt. Meeker were so beautiful. I was able to get pictures everyday of Mt. Meeker and they all looked different. We had a bull and cow moose one day just east of cabin that was the best experience. One of the things we wanted was wildlife. Thank you for excepting our application to rent.

Cozy cabin with everything you need to make it your home base to RMNP.
Debbie and Bernie were awesome hosts. The cabin had everything we needed to make meals, had a comfy bed and extra blankets to relax on the porch at night. It's close to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, the humming birds and the other wildlife. We highly recommend this cozy cabin!

Magestic views and charming cabin
My husband and I loved every aspect of our stay at Bluebell cabin. The owners thought of every detail that makes for an enjoyable stay, including all the cooking utensils one might need and lots of staples such as sugar and spices. The cabin is small but designed such that it had ample space for our needs. Everything was exceptionally clean and of good quality. Best of all are the incredible views from the cabin of Mt Meeker and Horsetooth Mountain. We love hiking and enjoyed the easy access to our favorite RMNP trails such as the Wild Basin trails and Twin Sisters. It is only 45 minutes drive to Glacier Gorge and Bear Lake trails. The owners were very hospitable and anticipated all of our needs. We look forward to returning.

Fabulous vacation!
My family and I spent a week in this well-appointed cabin. It was just perfect for our family of four, and the kids loved sleeping in the loft. The Bluebell has everything you could possibly need and more, and the hosts were so welcoming and helpful. It was a great base for hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, and we really enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of Estes Park. We were here over the 4th of July and recommend the fireworks in Estes Park for anyone who visits then. In addition to hiking, we really enjoyed horseback riding and rock climbing. We would recommend the Bluebell to anyone who is visiting the area, and hope to return some day.

Great Stay!
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. The views of the mountains from the cabin were great. Nothing like going to sleep to the view of the Milky Way and waking up to mountain views. The cabin was very cozy and had all we needed to have an enjoyable week long stay. Mountain views, a great sitting porch, outdoor fire ring, quiet neighborhood and well furnished cabin made the stay very enjoyable. Communication by the owner was great. She made sure we knew how to find the property and was available if needed.
Access to Rocky Mountain National Park by way of Estes Park, took about 15 minutes. You could also access the park by foot right from the property, making this an ideal place to stay away from crowds of people, but with quick access the National Park. We definitely would recommend staying at this cabin.

A wonderful retreat in the mountains
Bluebell cabin was a wonderful retreat for a friend and me. It is fairly small, but it is incredibly organized and well-equipped with everything one could need and then some! And the view was fantastic - I am very familiar with the area and the view from the west window was one of the best ever. We enjoyed the fully-stocked kitchen, the grill, and of course, access to the National Forest and nearby National Park just outside the door! It was so quiet, we could hear the stream across the road and down the hill at night. While I go to the mountains to "get away from it all," I will admit that having t.v. reception, phone, and wifi was nice. And the hummingbirds visiting the geraniums out front were very welcome as well!
You can't go wrong with Bluebell if you are looking for a great stay in the mountains!!

Secluded Mountain Vacation
My husband and I stayed at the adorable little cabin last week and had a wonderful time. The owners have so many little extras for you that you might forget--a little toiletry bag in the bathroom, eye masks and ear plugs, appliances, and all the "little" kitchen items that are annoying to buy! They have a book of all the things to do in the surrounding area--we did SO many hikes--there are so many beautiful lakes nearby. It was great not staying in Estes and escaping the hustle and bustle, but being close enough to go if we wanted to--we did once, which was enough :) The 20 minute drive to RMNP didn't seem long because the drive was so pretty--we saw elk every day, a moose and lots of deer! No bears, which I guess was good ! All in all, had a great time, would recommend.

Comfy Cabin just outside the business of Estes Park
The owners of Bluebell are extremely nice. Anytime we had questions they would answer quickly and take care of any issues immediately. The cabin was well stocked with everything you could need and was very organized. It was cozy, comfortable and clean; perfect to come home to after a long day hiking in the Rocky Mountain National Park. Almost every day we went through Estes Park to go hiking through the RMNP main entrance, but the 20 min drive was enjoyable and SO scenic. We loved waking up in the morning to open the curtains and see the view of Mt. Meeker. There is a little grocery store right at the end of the road by the Bluebell that has anything you forgot while grocery shopping in town. There are also trails that go into the RMNP very close by that we also enjoyed. We loved our stay!

Secluded and Cozy
The property was perfect for my family of 3. We came from a week of camping so the accommodations were wonderful. This is a very small cabin with all the organization to hold the extras one needs. We stayed over the 4th of July and was never woken by fireworks or partying. The home looks out upon Longs Peak and other hikes right out the door. We enjoyed the solitude this cabin offers from the hustle and bustle of the National Park. We had to park our car across the street and carry our items up to the cabin. We had a fantastic time and would recommend this cozy cabin to anyone who would like a place to get away from it all.

Love it!!!!
We had such an amazing time at this little cabin! It was perfect for the two of us and provided such beautiful views, privacy and everything we could think of as far as our needs. It doesn’t have a washer and dryer, but we had a little cloths line and I did some old fashioned sink washing and it worked out perfect! Everything else? I don’t think there was one thing that Debbie didn’t think of! Anything we needed whether it be for cooking, cleaning or feeding the numerous hummingbirds, she supplied! And let me just say, we have humming birds in Illinois, but these little birdies in the Mountains have a distinct trill and you could hear them all over! We loved them! So peaceful to watch! We also saw lots of mule deer in our yard and across the street…plus elk, moose, big horned sheet and magpies around the park! A++++
