Carla is a fantastic hostess and her guest suite is perfect! There is a large bedroom with a king size bed, a separate bathroom and dressing area/closet, a nice view of the lush patio and backyard. There is an additional sleeping nook with a writing area. Another half bath is also very nice. The kitchen and comfy sitting area/dining nook also look out on the lovely deck and backyard, complete with a cabana.

The property was delightful - homey, lots of outdoor space and seating, very well maintained and clean. The location was perfect - quiet, but easy access to downtown and the sights.
Our hostess, Carla, was welcoming, attentive, and informative, without being obtrusive.
We were welcomed with snacks and wine - perfect after a long day of travel! After the eclipse, Carla treated us to special eclipse-themed cupcakes!
We’ve stayed at many rentals over the years in many places around the country. Very few could even hold a candle to this. We predict that we will be back!

This is my second stay at this lovely property and my go to for future trips to the Alamo City! Wonderful neighborhood close to all the good things in the city and easy access to major highways and JBSA. Lovely place with all the amenities to include a great patio and yard. Carla is a wonderful host and I’ll definitely be staying here again and again on my travels to San Antonio!

Charming casita in Alamo Heights
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Darling cottage with exceptional amenities. Master bed was uber comfortable. We had everything we needed and more! Gorgeous yard area for enjoying drinks or coffee and we took photos in that area as we were there for a special event. Close to everything we needed downtown and at Fort Sam. We could have definitely extended our stay if we were able and can’t wait to come back again! Thanks so much for the great bottle of wine and chips and salsa. We enjoyed! Can’t say enough about this lovely home!!

Wonderful Rental, Location and Hosts!
We had a very enjoyable time at this stylish casita! Everything was clean, comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. Communication was easy, responsive and relaxed with onsite hosts. It was the perfect size for the two of us and could've easily slept a few more. It's an easy drive in to downtown activities, pearl district, etc., and then can return home to a safe, quiet and very nice neighborhood (where we enjoyed several walks). We also took advantage of the spacious backyard and multiple seating options to relax and enjoy the treats the gracious hosts had waiting for us. Gretchen also pointed us to some amazing wineries in hill country - perfect outing for a chilly early spring day! Don't miss a trip to the nearby HEB grocery store - "half food / half amusement park" is how they describe themselves :o) Iron Cactus was a great choice for lunch on Riverwalk - try the tamale pops! Alamo and Bluestar brewpubs were fun and for sure make a trip out to 5 Stones Brewery in New Braunfels; you'll love the beers and the outdoor beer garden is huge, relaxing and shaded!

Convenient and lovely
The casita was just as advertised and a perfect stay. Highly recommend this host and the home. I needed to be close to the military base and it didn't disappoint. A short drive from the airport as well. The casita was appointed well for my needs, great coffee and a nice bed! Thank you ladies for the stay, we hope to come back!!!

Great property in a great location!
Our original plans included a stay at a hotel on the riverwalk. At the last minute, we decided not to stay among the crowds. We were lucky enough to find this property open for the 2 nights we needed. I am so glad we changed our plans.
This property is everything you see in the listing and more. The moment you walk in, you feel welcomed by the details that go above and beyond what you would expect. The place was immaculate and the location was great, not far from anything, but away from the craziness of the downtown area. After a long day among the crowded tour areas, it was so nice to feel like you were coming home.
The bed was outstanding. Seems like a weird thing to notice, but when you are away from home, you miss the comforts of your own bed. I can honestly say the bed was better than the one we have at home, and ours is high end.
If you are considering this property, don’t hesitate to book it. You won’t be disappointed.

A great stay in San Antonio!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property. It was well decorated, and the owners clearly paid a great deal of attention to detail in virtually everything. Simple things like K-Cups were generously supplied. We will make this our base of operations whenever we go to San Antonio.

Quick weekend visit
My husband and I needed a place near our daughter’s apartment for a Father’s Day weekend. This was the perfect location. It’s quiet, beautifully decorated, and the bed is so comfortable! We picked up carry out food and played board games in the cozy living room and enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa. We’ll definitely stay here again!

Amazing Amazing Amazing
I am a man of few words but the attention to detail from start to finish for our stay in San Antonio was a perfect 10. The owners were very personal and amazing with communication and making sure our stay had everything we needed. Hands down this property is one of the best properties we have ever stayed. If we return to San Antonio we will request to stay here again.

Great location- beautiful outdoor space and great owners
Thank you for a wonderful base of operations in Alamo heights! We walked to... Witte, McNay, central market, Starbucks, cold stone creamery... and visited Trinity University and the Pearl with ease.
Great little kitchen and we hosted a super little cocktail hour on the patio with twinkle lights, fans and loads of candles!
Thanks for a great graduation spot.., t

Visiting Son and family
We truly enjoyed our stay, the host check on us because we had asked to check in early and because of the weather our flight was really late. When we arriver we had a bottle of wine waiting for us and some chips and salsa which was great and on time since we had been on planes and at the airport all day. The next morning the host came to greet us as we were leaving for our site seeing and my husband mention how he had trouble at the airport with the type of mask he was wearing. So when we return they had a package of mask for us. The place was very clean and welcoming.

Wonderful Experience!
I had the most wonderful experience at this VRBO. It was exactly as pictured and the gazebo area was so serene and pleasant, I almost didn’t want to leave and go tour San Antonio. The king bed was amazing. It is in a very quaint little neighborhood and convenient to everything. I did not get to meet Gretchen, but Carla was extremely gracious and friendly and made sure I had everything I needed.. I will definitely stay here the next time I’m in San Antonio. Highly recommend this place!

Nice Getaway
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend. It was a nice little getaway spot. It’s located next to many great spots and it feels safe. There is plenty of space for two people and the backyard is gorgeous, though we didn’t go out and soak it in. It’s also quiet which was really nice. The check in process was super easy, and also the check out process. We remained in contact with Gretchen and everything was smooth. She even let us check out later than planned because we had an online meeting that Sunday morning at checkout time. It is good to note that this space is connected to a main house, and so you can hear the owner of the house when they’re in their kitchen. Also, the mattress wasn’t the comfiest for me. My husband was fine with it, and it was better when we switched sides. One of the sides has a large dip in it, so it was difficult to move. Also, our car got a lot of bird droppings on it on the last day. Despite those few things, I would recommend the spot and we’d definitely stay again!

Lovely Guest House In A Quiet Neighborhood
This guest house was located in a great neighborhood and only about 10 minutes from the Riverwalk. It was clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. There is a beautiful and private patio attached to the residence with a fire table and grills. Gretchen and Carla provide so many extras that I haven’t had in other rentals. They even provided a bottle of wine, chips and salsa. There is a binder with extensive information about the San Antonio area for reference as well. Carla met us upon arrival and showed us everything. I feel that this property was a great deal for what was charged. I highly recommend.

PEACEFUL
My mom and I were in town for my nephew's wedding and we were SO HAPPY we found this peaceful gem! The owners have thought of just about everything. The place was spectacular inside and just as awesome outside. We loved the outdoor seating areas! The owners were very responsive and we found their knowlefge of things tp see quite helpful. Closest cconvenience store is a 4 minute walk. We were less than a 15 minute drive from Pearl Brewery district whete we enjoyed the farmers market on Saturday. We took the narrated boat ride thru the Riverwalk area and found it to be fun and informative. Beds were comfy. Shower was nice and hot. The complementary W

Clean, cute place and friendly hosts!
My boyfriend and I had never been to Texas and our experience was amazing. It’s all started with our hosts at this casita. Carla was excellent and gave us flexibility with our check in and out times. She offered us the firewood in her backyard to make a fire with and told us the whole backyard was ours and that we could use their grills.
The casita is small, but has 1 king bed in a master bedroom, a pull out couch in the family room, a twin daybed type bed in the study area and also a twin pull out bed from a dresser in the closet. We really enjoyed having the 2 bathrooms and 1 large shower.
The casita was very clean and had all utensils, glassware, microwave, full size refrigerator, etc. Carla provided us with a bottle of wine, chips and locally made salsa- super yummy!
The backyard and patio are was beautiful! The location was about 15 mins ($12 Uber ride) to downtown, river walk and the Pearl. Alamo Heights was a very nice area.
Overall, very accommodating hosts and neat place! We will definitely be recommending to our family and friends. Thank you Carla and Gretchen!

San Antonio Vacation
This property was in a great location and suited our stay. We were able to unpack, fix breakfast, relax in the beautiful yard and get where we wanted to go quickly.
We have stayed in many rentals and this casita was very well provisioned. I did not need to use the sharp knife, extra paper products or soap that I brought. Carla and Greta were very generous in the supplying of everything. I have never had coffee provided before!
