This was by far the best VRBO i have ever stayed at. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay amazing. Larry and Jessie are so hospitable and kind. They even took us on a fabulous pontoon ride. Waking up every day in the beauty thatsurrounds you was magical.

This place was perfect. The accommodations are very comfortable and stocked with everything you need. The views of the lake and also sitting out on the dock to relax were great. Just what we needed. Location is ideal. Very close to Leland and Suttons Bay, the TART trail, wineries, and so much more. Jessie and Larry are both the best hosts ever. We felt very welcome throughout our entire stay. I highly recommend staying with them!

For us, this was the perfect little getaway spot right in the middle of a beautiful part of Michigan during one of the best parts of the year here.
The property had everything that we desired; it was lovely to relax, play pool, turn on the AC to go to sleep and explore the surrounding areas!
While there were political advertisements present, the hosts didn't overtly bring it up so no big deal. They did ask my wife if she was pregnant, which was kind of awkward, I don't think that they were trying to be rude. We did stay out of the lake because, as we learned after arriving, it's prone to giving people swimmers itch. It was lovely to watch fireworks over the lake though!
We made lovely memories here and don't regret staying here. Thank you!

Loved our boat ride around the lake, sitting on the balcony and enjoying the chairs on the boat dock.

The beautiful property along with the updated studio carriage house/apt was very comfortable and roomy! Had all the basics to cook, full kitchen island, balcony facing the water with that beautiful peekaboo view. The birds were all around as their feeders remained busy. Nice to hang out with morning coffee. Brushed up on my billiards skills at night after being out during the days :) Jessie and Larry were perfect hosts making sure I had everything I needed! Would definitely stay again!

The hosts of the Carriage House thought of every detail with this little gem of a studio apartment behind their beautiful home just north of the narrows along Lake Leelanau. It provides everything you need for a private, relaxing stay while enjoying beautifully landscaped grounds of the property owners which they humbly share with you, especially the waterfront views of the lake.

Lovely little studio over the garage - perfect for two. Kitchen was well stocked, grill worked well, kayaks were a blast. Beautiful lakeside location on a quiet street great for morning walks and centrally located to experience all of the Leelanau peninsula. By far the nicest hosts we’ve ever stayed with.

The perfect quiet and relaxing location on Lake Leelanau! We can't say enough about the hosts, Jessie & Ray. Very comfortable and well equipped carriage house. Close to hiking locations, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and several small towns with shopping and restaurants.

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend away. The location was great-so close to everything (wineries, shopping, hiking and right on the lake!). The owners were incredibly welcoming and made us feel like old friends. The place was amazing. Comfortable sofa to watch a movie, well stocked kitchen, full bath, comfortable Murphy bed and a pool table-Great way to relax after a day of exploring. The lake was beautiful. This cottage is truly amazing! Tucked away on the woody shores of Leelanau Lake with immaculate landscaping, this cozy cottage impressed us from the moment we got there late at night after a long 12 hrs drive. It was amazing to have the garage available and ready for us to park in since it was already dark outside, and upon entering the cozy cottage we were greeted by chips and salsa. Oh, what a welcoming treat that was after an exhausting long drive! The cottage is spotlessly clean, beautiful, and cozy. It's centrally located on the Leelanau Peninsula so you are within minutes of all the major must-visit places and eateries. Lots of games and books that could keep you busy in the evening or on a rainy/snowy day. The amazing deck with views of the lake on the side of the main house is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Also a great place for star gazing. One other thing I really loved about the place is the simplicity of opening the door with a REAL key. All in all an amazing couples retreat. Whatever the occasion that will bring you to the Leelanau Peninsula, this is a place to stay at.
Thank you Jessie and Larry for the amazing cottage you shared with us.

The property is very clean and organized, very easy to get to, and one of the very best locations on the Leelanau Peninsula, just minutes to Sutton's Bay and Leland. I will definitely rent again!

Wonderful!
Jessie and Larry are wonderful hosts and their carriage house is beautiful! The bed is comfy, the views from the dock and deck are lovely, the decor is very attractive, the kitchen is well-equipped, and there are tons of things to do at the property and in the area. We enjoyed kayaking on Lake Leelanau in the kayaks that come with the rental, grilling lake trout we got fresh at Fishtown, sailing with the Inland Seas Education Center, visiting fun wineries, breweries, and restaurants, climbing to the top of lighthouses, hiking through trees and beaches and more. We definitely plan to come back!

It couldn't have been better.
This little Peek-a-boo was a sweet studio apartment that was perfect for my husband and me. Never have I rented a place with more thoughtful touches and amenities. Every feature was quality and comfort, even including a few spices and coffee in the cupboard for us. Jessie and Larry have a gift of hospitality. I could not have felt more welcome as a guest, never mind a renter! We were treated like old (or new) friends). I hope to visit again.

Amazing Couple Getaway with AMAZING Hosts
I don’t think it could get much better than Peek-A-Boo cottage. From the actual space, amazing views, to the incredibly gracious hosts. We had everything we needed, and more, in the cottage. The binder with recommendations was so helpful, as well as the recommendations directly from Jessie and Larry. Their dock is the perfect place for a breath taking sunset in the evening. Even when we weren’t out exploring we still had a blast playing pool and darts in the cottage. The kitchen has everything you need to cook dinner if you so choose. Jessie and Larry truly have thought of everything to make sure your stay is nothing less than amazing. We have 0 doubts that we will be going back in the future.

Incredible Experience
What an amazing experience! We came to northern Michigan to check out the Fall foliage and get away. The colors were incredible this year. Everything about the rental was more than we even expected. Definitely our best ever VRBO experience. Larry & Jessie were friendly and helpful. You will find a binder of local recommendations inside the carriage house. Use of the garage is very nice. We enjoyed the pool table & the really fun vibe of the home. Despite the rainy weather, we couldn’t resist walking down to the dock each morning, where we were sometimes greeted by the owners for a friendly morning chat. They truly make you feel like valued guests. We have no complaints at all & hope to stay here again! This trip was so memorable and our accommodations & hosts were a huge part of that. Do yourself a favor and book here!
