We had a wonderful time. Location was perfect to get to wedding venue

We had a fantastic time at this property for the week. The property is as advertised. We enjoyed the fire pit every night and the amazing views. The location being so close to Leland is fantastic. It is a little difficult getting down to the dock and the lake (have to be careful crossing the road), but the lake is amazing.

This house was perfect for our family - bikes, games, chalk for the kids, a large number of water toys, and plenty of space for the 9 of us to spread out as needed. Like others say, crossing M-22 takes care, but wasn’t a big deal for us! Loved sitting on the deck, going for early morning kayaks…and Leland is just a mile up the road. Also - really appreciated the abundance of outdoor chairs, always enough seating for everyone. Just an FYI that the property doesn’t provide beach towels - this was a bit awkward for us as we were flying in from out of state, so had to buy them. Not a deal breaker by any means, more just helpful to know! All in all a great space and one we would love to return to.

We had a great stay at this property. Location’s proximity to Leland is great. Dock access works out well. We enjoyed the grill and the fire pit. Renovated bathrooms were nice. Host was very responsive. Thanks for a lovely time on the lake!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home! Beautiful outdoor deck with lake views, comfortable beds, and spacious living areas.

We enjoyed our short weekend stay to attend a wedding. The bedding in addition to the linens was in place as per the photos. All was clean and inviting inside the house. The expansive new deck was awesome. The Drakes Bluff sign was not in place when we arrived and hopefully this is remedied for future guests. We did not use the Propane BBQ or kayaks during our stay however they were in place. We would stay there again for a multi family lodging.

We spent a long weekend up there and it was great! House was just the right fit for our group of 10! The view of the water and fall trees were beautiful!
Definitely would go back!

Spectacular place and views!

The house is well maintained and easily accommodated our group of 16 adults. The deck over looks the water, but you do have to cross a road and go down several steep steps to get to it. The bonfire area was fantastic. Definitely would consider renting here again if we’re in the area.

Loved our stay. Host was very welcoming, views were stunning, would highly recommend

House was huge! Plenty of room for 11 adults and teens. The second living space with its own kitchen was great to have for the older kids. Beautiful yard with an amazing view of the lake. You have to cross the street to access the private dock, house came with 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards and a few other water toys that were great to have.
Leland was a very short (2 min) drive, as was Sutton's Bay (10min). So much to do in this area, and the house was perfectly located to farms, wineries, golf, everything you want when staying up here!
Host was quick to answer any questions and made for such a wonderful stay.
Highly recommend this house!

I stayed here for a week with my whole family (6 adults and 4 kids). The house came as advertised. Really enjoyed the dual family room/kitchen. Paddleboards and kayaks were easily accessible by the lake and shuffleboard table was a great addition! The owner and management company were quick to respond to any needs or questions.

This is a great house for a large family. The bedroom situation is great, but you do have to walk thru one of them to get to the back 2 bedrooms so you might want to put your early risers there ! All the beds & pillows are very comfy. The kitchen is a bit small, but very well stocked. Great dock with dining and gorgeous view of the lake. Awesome fire pit which we enjoyed every night. The house a little worn - could use a little updating. The lake is down a long flight of steps and across a busy road so not ideal, but we made it work. Lake Leelanau is gorgeous - the area is great for restaurants & wineries, taking the boat to Fishtown was one of our highlights! Communication with Jodie was great - she always responded very quickly.

We love our stay at Drake's Bluff! The home is perfectly situated just minutes from Fishtown, with a beautiful view of Lake Leelanau.
The amenities of the home were perfect - we used the paddleboards and the kayaks, played with the bags set and some of the toys at the house, used the grill and cooked in the kitchen, even showered in the outdoor shower each day!
The layout of the home is ideal for 2 families as the house was converted from 2 units into 1, so there are two "separate living areas" in the home, but with plenty of large communal space as well.
As others have mentioned, crossing M-22 to the docks can be a little dicey as the road crossing is on a somewhat blind curve with cars moving quickly through there, but this wasn't a huge drawback for us.
Overall a 5-star property!

This is our second summer vacation to northern Michigan/sleeping bear dunes area.
We had a very nice trip. We have 3 teenagers and also traveled with a nephew and grandparents.
Positives- great location close to downtown Leland and only 10 minutes drive to Sutton bay , 15 minutes to north port, 25 minutes to glen arbor. Lake lelanenau was gorgeous and not crowded. We felt like we had lake to ourselves. We rented a jet ski for the week and a boat for 3 days . Highly recommend doing this for teens. House was clean with two big screen TVs and a indoor shuffleboard. Dock was well stocked with kayaks and paddle boards, life vests. Driveway space was big enough for us to put up a pickle ball court (full size). Jodie was great and easy to work with. Gas grill with extra propane tanks was appreciated. Two full refrigerators as well.
Downsides- have to cross a busy road to get to lake/dock. This was not super clear in on line listing. Kitchen is a little small for a larger group. House layout has second upstairs kitchen and one of the bedrooms has to be walked thru to get to the others.
Overall a great week and highly recommend.

This was a great location for our family gathering. Lots of great outdoor space. M22 is a busy road along the front but we were able to cross it and get to and from the water without a problem. Must be able to climb steps to access the water in front of the house. Not easy water access for smaller children as have to be able to jump off dock or climb down ladder. Beautiful views of the water out the large windows. Kitchen and dining area was a little cozy but when the weather was good there was an easy option to use the deck space. Property manager is very responsive. Overall exceeded our expectations.

The location was perfect for our family. Very close to many awesome wineries, towns for shopping and access to the water. The house was clean and well maintained.

Enjoyed the cabin and location close to Leland. Didn’t like the road between the cabin and lake/dock.

Great property, time of year was fantastic with the leaves changing. We will absolutely make it back at some point.

Amazing location with a stunning view of Lake Leelanau. Back deck and side yard provided ample space outdoors. Plenty of offstreet parking. Comfortable beds. One bedroom (the smallest one) is wonky - it’s the only way to the back of the house; other option is to go outside to enter a back slider. Was no problem for our group but could be a hassle depending on number and composition of the group reserving this great property. Overall VERY pleased and highly recommended!

Amazing property! The house was VERY clean and all the beds & bathrooms were stocked and comfortable. The deck and patio was amazing with a unobstructed view of the lake. Fire pit was great. We had 9 adults and two kids and fit very comfortably. Only strange thing is the back location of the house (addition) was pretty separate from the front but it worked for our party keeping the kids in the front half & back half was much more quiet! Can’t beat the location, 5 min to Leland and 15 min to Sutton’s bay! Host was extremely responsive and welcoming. Truly five star VRBO.

Nice property, right across M-22 to the 2 docks, lots of water toys. Comfortable bedding, lots of room to relax. The deck with the view of the lake is amazing!

All was accurate on the listing and we were kept very well informed. A+ all around.

Incredible property
LOVED staying here for a bach party with all of our family and friends. We were able to accommodate 11 people and enjoy the house, the fire pit, hang out on the dock and look for petoskey stones. The house is super cool and could easily accommodate two families in the way it's set-up, with a separate living and kitchen space upstairs. We were also a close drive to Hop Lot (our favorite brewery) and Suttons Bay shopping, and everything in and around Traverse City.

Great location, beautiful view
Three couples stayed for a weekend getaway, the location was great-close to Fishtown and many wineries. There was plenty of room for us to have our own space when we wanted and also hang out as a group when we wanted. We spent a lot of time on the large deck enjoying the beautiful view of Lake Leeleanau, there was plenty of seating to accommodate our group. We also enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings, there was plenty of seating for around the fire pit as well. Kitchen was small, but well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. We didn't swim or use the kayaks/paddle boards that were provided because we didn't have enough time, but we did enjoy rock hunting in the lake and along the shore. One of my friends even found a Leland Blue :) We enjoyed our stay at this property and Jodie was very accommodating and easy to work with. I would recommend this property!

I am not going to add much to the other reviews. Truly it is a beautiful house with great location . Jodie - the host - was great in communication and making sure we have a smooth stay answering all questions promptly. Highly recommended

Great house, amazing location!
11 of us, including 3 kids (7 and 10) spent a longer weekend at this property. We enjoyed the house so much, it is spacious and clean, has lots of day light. The view of the lake is just amazing! The house has everything you need for a great get away and communication with the property manager was superb! We will definitely be back!

This home is nicely accommodating for our family reunion of ten. It needs some attention and could use a few upgrades

Great place for a family vacation
Drakes Bluff was a great place to have our annual family vacation! It was clean, well appointed and there’s plenty of room to spread out. The upstairs living room/kitchen was ideal for the teens in our group to escape and do their own thing.
The yard is huge, and the neighbors are very friendly.
Leelanau County is our favorite place and Drake’s Bluff was a great jumping off point for our family to explore it.

Perfect for family getaway
The home was incredibly clean and had plenty of space for everyone, as well as a fully stocked kitchen and outdoor activities (such as kayaks and lawn chairs). Our host was very responsive and the lake is very clean and quiet. Our family had a great time here! One thing to be aware of is that the lake access is across a winding street so this can be risky at dusk, and it’s not the most accessible for the older crowd given the stairs and getting over the guardrail. Other than that, would come stay again in a heartbeat!

Great Lake House!
My friends and I (three couples) stayed here during a fall weekend in hopes of a color tour. The views from the deck are fantastic! Both living areas are cozy. The place is unique as it seems to be two units that were combined with separate living spaces and kitchens. We didn’t use the upstairs space. However, I can see how it would be perfect for our annual family trip, which includes two sets of first time parents. It was a wet fall weekend, so we didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit outside, but it was nice to know it was there! The views from their private dock across the street was also lovely. The kitchen was stocked and the host was responsive. Overall, I highly recommend!

Great vacation spot!
We had a great experience staying at this house! The property manager was extremely helpful and she would respond almost immediately to any questions that we had. Would definitely recommend this property for a great vacation - the location was ideal between Leland and Glen Arbor and it was a great fit for a large group. It was also great with two separate living spaces for a large family. Overall - a great experience!

Great House!
We had a wonderful time during our stay in the Leland area. The house was very central to the many nearby activities and attractions such as the quant towns of Leland, Glen Arbor, Empire, and Suttons Bay, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Seashore, and is also only a short drive to Traverse City. Jodie was also very helpful in making recommendations for places to visit and experience.
