We had a great week at this property. We had been there before and like the location. We rented a ski boat for three days which added to the fun. Clean and well equipped home with air conditioning now.

My family of 10 had an amazing vacation at Base Camp. The house was largest enough to meet everyone's needs. Base Camp was right on the lake with a private dock and location was just a few miles from shopping, restaurants and amusements and arcade for the grandchildren. I would highly recommend Base Camp!!

We had a great weekend! The house was clean and comfortable. Loved the hot tub and close proximity to fun activities like the Mountain Coaster at Wisp, mini golf, go carts and arcades.

I planned this trip a year in advance for my husbands 50th bday. When we all checked in, everyone was super happy with the house. The view was breathtaking and the entire home was cozy and well kept. The other couples that came with us even asked for the link of this listing so they could book it in the future. If we are to travel again to the area, we are definitely booking this house again. Hands down! You won’t be disappointed!

We had a wonderful stay at Base Camp. The views were amazing and the room and house were comfortable. Bonus was the hot tub! Our host was very responsive when we had questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful location, Lake view is amazing!! Centralized location love it!!

The house was absolutely gorgeous with an amazing view of the lake. The spacious back patio and fire pit is where we spent the most of our time when we were at the house because of its amazing views. It’s well located and just a short drive to where ever you want to go in the area. Our group had a fantastic time here.

We had a wonderful long weekend stay Basecamp. The house was nicely decorated, roomy and comfortable. And what a view and location!

The house itself was gorgeous, although the living room and dining area was a bit tiny for 12. The deck on the house was very spacious and hot tub was excellent. Cooking arrangements were plenty to get the job done, however the grill was a bit of a mess and needed a thorough cleaning. The dock was plenty of room for all our watercraft but since it was a floating dock with a busy lake the waves were a bit rough on the boat and skis. I suggest bringing extra bumpers to keep the vessels safe as nobody watches speed close to the docks there. There are plenty of local places to purchase local products from for dinner and whatever you might need within 15 min tops driving. All in all the house was a great spot to enjoy a great week with the family. But unfortunately there is one thing that truly impacts the week trip we had. On Thursday the owner stopped in to the guest house unannounced to enjoy the weekend there with her family. This was a little off putting to myself and the rest of the family as it made it feel like we weren't enjoying a private week anymore. The guest house overlooks the firepit outside where we were enjoying each night at. So that night and the other night we didn't feel as comfortable out at the camp fire which was a real bummer. We bumped into them a few times as they did seem to keep to themselves but the feeling of a family vacation at a rental was lost by that point. The remaining days we made the best of it and was unfortunate how we felt.

The property is wonderful, however there are quite a few steps from the driveway to the house (and from the lawn to the floating dock) that are quite steep and lack a railing, which made it difficult for the grandparents.
The view from the deck was spectacular.

Lovely and spacious house. Centralized and great location.
Owners were quick to respond for any reason.
We couldn't for a nicer vacation.
It was our first stay at Deep Creek. Lovely area.

We had a mixed bag of weather, ranging from 80s and sun, to rain and windy and < 60*. The house and property were ideal for the warmer days, as that yard is INCREDIBLE- beautifully maintained, flat, and perfect for frisbee and yard games. The deck is very large and the hot-tub is enormous, clean, and couldn’t be more convenient. The fire pit was great too! The walkway to the dock is done in pavers and also well-maintained. The entry to the lake is gradual so putting in kayaks can be done from the grass or dock. That area of the lake is quite busy and not really conducive to lounging with a cup of coffee, but my grandson loved being out there watching and counting all of the boats and jet skis. While the house is very large and the beds are comfy (except the tiny bedroom at the top of the stairs), the kitchen is a bit tight for more than one or two people trying to get things prepared and the living area isn’t large either. No big deal though, as with that yard, you’ll really want to be outside anyway. It was tight for us on the two days we were stuck inside with two very little kids and all of their things. I wonder if there’d been a dog there recently though as my allergies were flaring only in the living room.

We wanted lakefront and this house surely delivered. Windows, windows everywhere. The deck and yard were huge and we took advantage of that (as the weather allowed). We made several walks to the dock to sit and watch the boats so go by. The three master suites (all with large windows on two walls) were the perfect fit as we had 3 families and the other two bedrooms were great for the kids. We built fires inside and out every day of our visit. The location on Deep Creek was great as all 3 families traveled about 2-2 1/2 hours to get there. The proximity to stores was a plus too. We would definitely go there again!

Beautiful property, nicely maintained, clean, spacious. A great view, close to Wisp. A few simple additions would go a long way. We found out two hours before arrival a lot of basic things are not provided…toilet paper, garbage bags, towels for hot tub, paper towels, etc. Would have been easier to plan and pack had we known this ahead of time. Also the bare minimum of towels were provided, linens were scratchy, one dish towel for the entire unit, lack of hand soap in bathrooms, ..all easily fixable, just had higher expectations for basic necessities. Our group enjoys cooking and found the kitchen supplies needing some updates as well. There are no sharp knives, mixer didn’t work, can opener could used replaced. There was a sulfur smell coming from the master bath of first floor that was overpowering. Temperature is difficult to regulate. The hot tub was nice and spacious. Great outdoor space. Lots of spaces to sit and gather as a group. Overall, we really enjoyed it and what is missing is easily remedied with a $20 trip to local store.

No problems with the property, except a water line froze. Greg took care of the problem immediately. We liked the location and would rent it again.

We visited this property with 4 couples and had more than enough room. With 3 of the bedrooms having en-suites, and one additional full bath, each couple had access to their own bathroom. The home is beautifully and uniquely designed. The direct access to the lake was very convenient, and provided amazing sunrise photos. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware, and the open dining and living spaces allowed for open communication across the lower level. The jacuzzi was a nice touch in the cold. The property manager was very responsive and helpful when I reached out. I highly recommend staying at this property!

We were really pleased with this rental. The house was beautiful, very clean and property in close proximity to the lake. We enjoyed fishing off the floating pier, even jumping into the 45 degree water, then rushing up to relax in the spacious hot tub! We brought kayaks and they were easily launched from the shore. The host supplying bed linens and towels was a plus! Would highly recommend renting this property at Deep Creek Lake!

Overall really nice property. Ample space and close to restaurants/coffee shops/grocery store etc. It rained most of our trip due to hurricane Ian, but the first night the views of the sunset were absolutely breathtaking. The hosts was friendly and easily accessible. They answered our questions and were quick to respond. We would go back and stay again.

Website provided accurate description of the property and amenities. House layout was excellent, very functional for our needs. Windows and sliding glass doors throughout allowed wonderful views of the lake and kept things bright. Deck was big with lots of outdoor seating, and multiple access points across the back of the house. Roasted marshmallows and made s'mores over the outdoor firepit. Dock is functional; rented a jetski which we could tie up there. My older parents stayed in the large first-floor bedroom (not quite a suite, but afforded a larger space with an oversized club chair and ottoman) which was perfect for them. There's some staggering of levels from one side of the house to the other (a couple steps here, a landing there, a little transitional lip between the heated kitchen floor to the dining/family room area) which was no issue for us, but might be a consideration for those with limited mobility or gait instability issues. We were originally going to have 10 in our party (2 kids and 1 teen), but ended up being only 6. I was worried that it might feel like too much house, but it was actually ideal so that we had space to spread out; just didn't end up using the bunk bed room. Fireplace worked well. Same with washer/dryer. Nice option for small balcony/patio off the two bedrooms on the upper level. Overall very well-maintained and managed. My first vrbo experience, and we were very happy...would definitely return again.

No problem renting, the house was clean, kitchen and eating areas were great for 8 adults. But the best is the view from the back yard.

This is the perfect place to go with family and/or friends to enjoy the lake! There is nothing like drinking coffee in the morning with that view of the lake and ending the day sitting around the fire pit with friends. The house is clean and spacious. I highly recommend!

We spent Labor Day at the base camp and enjoyed our stay immensely! It had everything needed for a great weekend.
The only downside was the location on the lake for long weekend boat traffic. Though the kids loved to play in the water at the dock but the boat chop was so high it was at times crashing over the dock and even up the stern of our boat in the slip making it impossible to sit in a chair/ relax on the dock…. Tried and almost slipped off lol.
As long as you are aware of this and your kids are strong swimmers all other aspects were great and you will enjoy your stay!

We've been renting on Deep Creek for the past few years and this house and location were the best by far! Easy access to all the local attractions and shops, the house was in great shape and the yard is one of the few in the area that has such a great view of the lake.

We spent the week at BASE CAMP and met up with other family members who were staying at a nearby property. The location was close to all of the great activities that DCL has to offer (hiking, boating, relaxing by the water with family and friends). The property had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and any questions we had were answered timely by Greg or Debbie and the welcome book was helpful in pointing us to activities. We will definitely be reserving Base Camp in the future.

Perfect spot to relax and unwind. We would definitely recommend to others. Perfect place for couples and families as we all had our own room and bathrooms.

Absolutely beautiful property with a home layout that creates big window views for 3 major bedroom suites. I didn’t want the adults to be down in a dark lower level and it worked. There is one tight double bunk ed room that is dark, but we didn’t use it. This house has a generous 5 bedrooms.
The kitchen has everything one uses at home. Wifi great for everyone. Amazing individual AC controls in each room.
A wonderful stay. Be aware that they have a hard no dog policy, although they have a dog pictured in their photos. My fault - it is written.

Family gathering
What a beautiful piece of property! This was our second visit to Base Camp and again had a lovely time. The weather was perfect and the upgrades to the house (esp a/c ) made it even more enjoyable. Hanging out on the porch, by the fire pit and having the dock so close by was a real treat! The level yard made getting to the fire pit and dock accessible
to my older family members. We would definitely come again!

Base Camp is a great house with good lake views
Base Camp is a great house in a great location with lovely lake views. We enjoyed the big yard. It was perfect for corn hole. The kids and grandkids spent hours swimming and paddling around off the dock. We also used the dock to park our rented boat for a couple days. Another feature we enjoyed was the hot tub.

Great time at this property. Stayed here with 6 adults and 3 children and had plenty of space. We really enjoyed the view from the whole house and spent much of our time sitting on the beautiful deck overlooking the expansive view of the lake and enjoying the fire pit.
