About this house rental
Hello and welcome to Malibu!
These accommodations are comprised of two separate three-bedroom, three-bathroom townhouses on quiet Malibu Rd. with amazing views. Granite and limestone kitchens & bathrooms, living room with fireplace, spa tub, oceanfront deck, 2-car parking, shared lounge/recreation area.
A short drive or bike ride to Malibu's great shopping and dining. In addition to the beach, there are lots of hiking/biking trails and wine tasting nearby.
You'll love these townhouses as they are spacious, quiet, and private, with ocean views from every room. They're laid out like houses, and the master bedrooms are amazing, with huge picture windows that look out to the ocean. And at night, you can see the moon and the stars without even lifting your head off your pillow! There is central air conditioning and heat, so you will always be comfortable.
The townhouses have keyless entries, which enables 24-hour check-in and the freedom from having to manage keys. Your stay includes access to our shared beach-level recreation area with a lounge, bar, ping-pong table, and dartboard. There is also an outdoor shower for washing off after a swim in the ocean.
For stays that include a Friday or Saturday night, a three-night minimum is required between April 1 - June 30 and September 5 - October 31. A four-night minimum is required between July 1 and September 6, as well as Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. There is a two-night minimum stay requirement for all other reservations except for holidays. If you find available dates in our calendar between other bookings that don't meet these minimum stay requirements, we generally make exceptions to fill them -- just ask!
To preserve the tranquil environment for our neighbors, only confirmed guests are allowed on the property. No one else (including visitors) is permitted without my specific consent. The number of guests is closely monitored by our co-host and documented by video cameras in the common areas of the property. Guests not adhering to this house rule will be reported to VRBO, and the guest's stay will be immediately terminated without a refund.
Should there be any unauthorized guests/visitors or any damage to the property (including interior/exterior furnishings, grounds, or landscaping) that takes place during a guest's stay, the Host reserves the right to deduct the cost of these fees/repairs/replacements from the guest's security deposit.
- Groups with more than eight people will incur a $75 per person per night added fee.
- Manager on-site to assist with visitor requests.
- Groups of one to 12 are permitted (maximum 12 people including children).
As this property is located in a fire-prone area, smoking or the use of candles anywhere inside or outside the property is not allowed.
Professional filming, recording, or photography at the property is only permitted with prior written host consent.

Beach family reunion
We had a wonderful stay at this property.
We were attending a wedding in the Malibu area.
The property is in a great location, centrally located to everything.
We loved being able to unwind at the beach in between our events.
The property itself was clean and well maintained. The property manager David was quick to answer all my questions prior to our check in.
He met us at check in and gave us a tour of the property. He also checked in periodically during our stay to make sure everything was going well.
Over all a great stay, highly recommend!

Malibu Family Summer Trip
This home is on a beautiful stretch of the coastline and is a PRIME location to Pepperdine and shops/restaurants at Malibu Country Mart - which is awesome. We are a fairly active, sporty family but can’t comprehend how it is walking distance to either, as stated on the listing. But, a super easy drive. And, no clue where you would ride bikes if you arranged prior to your stay. Beds are all comfortable and hosts have left nice touches like shampoo/conditioner/lotion in bathrooms and beach towels. Lots of beach toys and needs also available in outdoor rec area - none of which were listed and a definite plus. Please note, no washer and dryer but a local laundry service available with next day service up the street. Kitchen isn’t what we would call a fully stocked kitchen for big meals (and, also tiny) but basic supplies great for sandwiches and quick grabs. We had the pleasure of working with David and he was attentive and available to assist. I have a feeling previous guests have not followed the home policies regarding additional guests on property as he covered that rule quite a bit….follow the rules and you will have a good experience! Weather is a dream and beautiful memories can be made at this home.

My family rented 2 units for 8 adults and a 5 month old. We were charged an entra $225 for the infant, but no porta crib or high chair was provided.
We paid for 4 parking spots but we’re only allowed 2 total.
Each unit is really 2 bedrooms and a loft.
Hard to sleep when other guests visiting in living room. Loft has no privacy.
Owner, David is difficult to communicate with.
Concrete interior stair case is steep and slippery. I wouldn’t recommend for elderly, handicapped or children under 6.
Terrible climate control. (Nest-reset back to owners program every hour).
All 6 Bathroom showers need new grout.
Old pots & pans and coffee pots need to be replaced.
The No Refund policy should be changed.
Guest policy is terrible. Couldn’t even have any local visitors during our 3 night stay.
Fire hazard- unable to exit town house unless you knew the door code.
Small kitchen table with only 4 chairs.
Renters need to have enough table seating for # people the unit sleeps.
Couch needs to be replaced. You sink 12” when sitting on couch.

Overall our low rating note is due to the somehow misleading description of the offering, the lack of good offering for family reunion, the unfriendliness of the host.
This is a rental of 2 separate condos and it is NOT a good option for family gathering.
This place DOES NOT SLEEP 16 persons as advertised. Condo are OK for 6 persons max. at best (we had to book hotel rooms for our guests)
The host is there to make sure that “rules are enforced” but offer ZERO willingness to accommodate/facilitate any changes or requests. He never gave us the impression that he cared about make your as enjoyable as possible.
The shared common area ends up being a “contest” of whom gets there first every day. (another group was on the property as same time as us)
The 3rd “bedroom” in each condo is in fact a mezzanine/loft with a bed that opens up over the kitchen/living area (impossible to sleep once folks are up downstairs).
The feeling of being under constant watch of the numerous outdoor cameras create some uneasiness while trying to have a relaxing vacation.
The condos are clean although by 7AM day of departure the cleaning crew are on site making sure your know that it is check out day.
Only positive point for this rental is the location (nice beach, quiet street close to Malibu market square).

Fantastic, well kept property on a beautiful sandy beach. The views from the living room and master bedroom were amazing! We had a total of 4 adults and 5 children and everyone had a wonderful time.
