About this house rental
Summary:
Slide into the heart of Charleston like you own the place with CasaZoë, your VIP pass to the city’s thrumming pulse, right where the action is—on the most elite street and on the best block in the Short Term Overlay District. But don’t worry, we keep the buzz at the doorstep; inside, it’s all about serene, chic retreat vibes, with a sprinkle of old Charleston magic and a generous pour of modern flair and whimsy.
The Space:
Tucked into the less-talked-about but equally fabulous rear half of the Casa Zoë mansion (built way back in 1810, when top hats were the rage), this 5BR, 4BA unit is where history meets a dollop of modern boho chic and a generous splash of Slim Aarons' poolside fabulousness. Think of it as your personal backstage pass to an era of elegance, but with WiFi and way more bathrooms. This unit is units B&C combined- they are in the same house, but each unit has a separate entrance.
Here, every living room doubles as a stage for dramatic entrances from one of the two pull-out sofas, and each bathroom offers a soliloquy on luxury with enough marble to make a Roman emperor blush. Adorned with art that screams "I vacation better than you," and vibes that oscillate between "zen master" and "disco queen," this place is a masterclass in how to live it up while winding down.
Step out to the courtyard, and you've hit the jackpot of outdoor lounging—a space so inviting, even the local wildlife stops by to admire the view (or just check out what’s for dinner). With a setup this grand, you're not just booking a stay; you're claiming your spot in a living, breathing piece of Charleston's charm, all while chuckling at the thought that such a regal slice of history now plays host to your unforgettable escapades. Ready for a stay that’s as rich in laughs as it is in legacy? Welcome to the rear half of Casa Zoë, where every corner tells a story, and every stay is an instant classic. The space is units B & C combined.
The Neighborhood:
Cannon-Elliotborough embodies the quintessential Charleston charm: a blend of fine dining, quaint cafes, vibrant bars, and one-of-a-kind boutiques that echo the quirkiness of an eccentric relative. With its streets inviting leisurely strolls, you'll navigate the neighborhood like a seasoned local, stumbling upon hidden gems at every corner. Positioned just moments from the bustling energy of King Street, it strikes a perfect balance between a tranquil retreat and the city's dynamic rhythm. For those seeking an authentic Charleston experience, Cannon-Elliotborough is the place to be—it captures the city's vibrant essence in a way that's lively yet pleasantly subdued.
Getting Around:
Step lively or tap your app—around here, you're never stuck. Take a leisurely walk to local gems or catch an Uber in a snap for beach trips and city adventures. With everything just a wander away, and rides aplenty, you're set for the easy life in this walker's paradise. Convenience is king, and you're wearing the crown!
Other Things to Note:
Casa Zoë guests get exclusive access to The Wonderer Charleston, a private 2-acre oasis downtown with a pool, eateries, bars, cabanas, a gym, spa therapies, workspaces, live music, and social events. It's an adult-only club with a Bali-Tulum vibe. Note: Day passes are first-come, first-serve, and booking ahead is advised for visits between April 15th - September 1st. Groups over 8 need approval and may need to rent a cabana. The Club's entry age is 25, with exceptions for members' guests or special permissions. Check for age limits at special events.

The units we stayed in were clean, comfortable and perfectly appointed. The location was central to everywhere we planned to go and very safe. The host was responsive and personable. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this VRBO!

Unique, beautiful vacation rental in a quiet neighborhood near King Street. Stayed here for a family reunion and both units were laid out perfectly, with a smaller unit on a lower level and larger unit where everyone could convene. Most restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Property Manager was very responsive and helpful when needed.

We loved our stay here! The house was amazing and in the perfect location to walk wherever you would like to go! We would love to stay here again!

Can't say enough positive things about our stay. Super accommodating, clean, and the space was even bigger than it looked in the pictures! The kitchen was well stocked with supplies for cooking. Communication was superb and the owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating. This place was gorgeous and the Solarium had the best natural light. Highly recommend to others.

Stay here! The pictures do not do this property justice!
We had a group of 10 girls and this was very comfortable for all of us. The property is a beautiful backdrop for group photos too!
We loved the location. Extremely walkable to many popular bars and restaurants on King Street.
Claire the property manager was very responsive whenever we had a question while at the house. Highly recommend!

The home is perfectly placed in the city, just a few short blocks away from King Street. We enjoyed the space and were so impressed with how clean and well maintained it was. We were a larger group of 12 but between the home in the back and the downstairs unit, we all had enough space. The property manager was so responsive and even though we ran into a few issues (not having some cookware or a blender) everything turned out just fine!

This was walking distance to King St. The house manager was super helpful. 10/10 would recommend.

We had a great time at the house and it was very close to town so we could walk around.
It is 2 separate units so that can be hard for bigger groups - but we also did enjoy it being separated for sleeping arrangements. Highly recommend for a group traveling together!

We celebrated my sister's bachelorette party here and it was the perfect house for our occasion! The host was so easy to communicate with and the house was beautiful, well-stocked, and very clean. The beds were also insanely comfortable. The location is ideal just a short 5-10 min walk to King St where there are endless restaurants and bars. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

I cannot recommend this property enough to families or friends looking to travel together. From the first booking to the arrival and our checkout, everything was seamless. The place is absolutely beautiful and the location is walking distance to bars and restaurants. The communication with the property managers was clear and concise. Thank you!

Great location, off street parking, wedding venue was 5 minutes away, easy walk or Lyft into town.
Great place for 10 family members, clean, comfortable, very memorable wedding, and the VRBO complimented the experience. Quiet neighborhood, close to everything, very courteous Borgus (i think that was his name) who was working there and was helpful when we arrived.

A group of us were in Charleston for a wedding and this was the perfect spot! We had Green Cottage as well as Sparrow House and everything was great, clean and they were very accommodating. Will definitely look at this location for future trips.

Great stay on the Peninsula
Perfect place to stay in Charleston to feel like a local. Two living areas make this rental perfect for a multi-family or multi-generational trip. 5 stars would rent again.

Spring Weekend
This was a great house- me and my bridesmaids and their spouses stayed her for my wedding weekend. It was a little confusing the way that it’s spilt.. it clearly stated this in the description, I just don’t know that I totally understand prior to staying there. It wasn’t a problem, we enjoyed it! Just maybe something of note, there is two bed rooms that are spilt from the other three! Would love to stay again!

disappointing
Although the house was pretty we had significant problems. The main problem is that there was significant loud construction every day. Although the owner could not control the construction he should have warned us about it. We might have chosen not to come. I tried to contact the manager once we were there. The manager never responded. I then called the owner who was not accommodating at all. His attitude was that they have had good reviews in the past and this was not his problem.. In addition to the above, all of the closets were unfinished. There was no storage in the bedroom or the kitchen. There were cockroaches which the owner said "are to be expected" in Charleston. The kitchen had a card table covered with a tablecloth. At the price point of this property, the service and acccomodations were well below what you might expect.

Beautiful home, great location!
We loved our stay at this home. The location was perfect - a short walk to King St. and surrounded by other nice homes, cafes, and shops. We were here with a group of 12 for a bachelorette and the split units (3 bedrooms upstairs, 2 downstairs) were perfect. House was well-stocked for a large group and everything was very new and clean. Thanks for a great, comfortable place to stay for the weekend!

Perfect location
This place was in the perfect location, within walking distance to King St. When the big house is being rented, it doesn't get a little loud. The bedding was amazing!

Great for 2 groups who would like some space
We did a bachelorette party here and thought the vibe and location were spot on. Could not have been in a better spot with proximity to some dancing, dining, and King Street. Cannon Street is much nicer than many of the surrounding ones, so we loved that. The outdoor space with the little bar is what sold me on the photos, but the real winner was the upstairs sunroom. It was more challenging to be in 2 separate units than I thought it would have been mostly because there wasn't really a space where everyone could hang out at the same time and have a space to sit. There definitely isn't a dining table that fits everyone at one time. We spent 90% of our time out of the house, so it really worked out for us ok. The beds were A++ though and all-in there were 4 bathrooms which was pretty great for a large group of women.
The units are attached to a 3rd even bigger unit which was unexpected. They happened to be a bachelor party and when they came home drunk at 3:30am and started singing, you best believe they woke us up. We also joined parties the last night, so I would say the neighbors was a plus/minus.

Thanks for a lovely stay!
There were 5 of us visiting Charleston, so, this five bedroom upper/lower property was the perfect accommodation. Located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of several good restaurants and everything else we wanted to do and see. And nicely equipped for breakfast in or those evenings we were just too tired to go out for dinner. We would love to come back again!

Property ID 697193 was Perfect for out of town guests attending a Charleston Wedding
Everything was just as depicted in the description. We rented to attend a family wedding. Property ID 697193 housed a multigenerational group of 2 sets of grandparents, 2 sets of parents and 2 little grand babies. The accommodations were clean as a whistle and cozy and comfortable. It felt like a home away from home and was roomy enough that individually we could relish the interactions of our rollicking family and take a quiet break from each other when necessary. Without any hesitation, I would rent again and recommend this home to anyone visiting Charleston.

Perfect stay
I rented this house for my wedding weekend for all the bridesmaids to stay in. It was so nicely decorated, good location, and perfect size for a larger group. The beds and pillows were very comfortable! The host was quick to respond to any questions I had before our stay, we didn’t need to reach them for anything once we arrived because it was set up perfectly. We really enjoyed our time here and would 100% stay here again in the future.

A Perfection of a Weekend!
This property (and the team that runs it) is absolutely phenomenal. From the exceptional design and top-of-the-line amenities to the most convenient location, this property set the tone for a perfect (and grown-up) Bachelorette weekend.
The kitchen is well-equipped for novice and experienced cooks and Jamie the property manager is the kindest human being ever.
And we all especially loved the porch... morning coffee back home will never be the same now that the porch spoiled us!
Thanks for a great stay!

Amazing house for long weekend
We loved this house so much! It was actually really nice having the two separate units so everyone felt like they had their space. The house was really clean, the kitchen was nice and the beds were super comfortable. The location was convenient for our group. Heads up there are a number of other rentals within the same little cul de sac, so it was very lively. We were a bachelorette group so it was fun for us but could get a little loud at times. Overall I would highly recommend this property and plan to actually do so when I have friends coming down to Charleston.

Our family loved this house! It’s in a great location to use the DASH bus system to get around but in a quiet area. The beds were fabulous and the bathrooms were great. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Great place to stay!
This house was great! 14 girls stayed for a bachelorette party and it was a little cramped at times but we had plenty of room to sleep and hang out! Located within walking distance to King Street. Would definitely stay here again!

Girls Trip - Wonderful!
Our stay was perfect and the house was very nice. We had 10 girls so it was very nice for all of us to have a bed to sleep. The house was updated, cozy, and great location. We walked just about everywhere. The communication with the owner was great. We had a couple questions upon arriving to the house and he quickly responded to us. This house is right beside a larger house so depending on who's staying in that house it can be a bit noisy at times. It didn't bother us much but something to take into consideration. Overall, we had a great time and if we do another girls trip we'll likely look to stay here again. Thank you for letting us use your cute home!
