We feel bad to leave a not so good review, BUT these are ALL easily fixable things. It is really a waste to have such a beautiful place and not show it off properly. My husband and I are not fussy people. We do not mind an older home as it has personality, as long as it is clean. We absolutely loved the hot tub, but the plexiglass that goes around the hot tub was absolutely filthy! It looked like it had not been cleaned in a while with bird droppings running down the side, webs and just plain dirty. Why??? THAT is the main selling point of the home - the amazing view! Then the windows in the house looking out onto the ocean were all filthy as well. The real shocker that we discovered after a few days was pulling out a couple of kitchen drawers to find rodent poop and active traps in the drawers! WTH! We understand that rodents can be a problem, but having poop in a kitchen drawer and traps not removed before guests arrive? The other thing was that the two couches in the livingroom were extremely broken down and need to be replaced. Again, these are such simple inexpensive fixes that would greatly improve the experience for your guests. My husband and I would come back to stay if these things were addressed. Other than that, we really loved the view, hot tub, privacy, etc. Just please give that place a thorough cleaning and for goodness sakes, clean the windows to show off that view! Did not have communication with the manager, but had to complete that line.

Nice deck, fantastic views of the Pacific Ocean and beautiful starry nights

Nice spacious house perched on a cliff affording a beautiful view. The furnishings are basic, nothing fancy, but it’s comfortable and affordable. We all slept well in the beds and cooked every meal in the kitchen. It would have been nice to have a few more food storage options for leftovers, but it worked out just fine. There was an electrical issue when we checked in that affected the Wi-Fi, but Vacasa responded immediately and the issue was resolved. Wi-Fi worked great for the duration of our visit after that. This is a great place for a family to spend quality time at the ocean without breaking the bank. The view is fantastic.

We loved all of our short little hiking trips, and that the local stores were so close. The kitchen was so easy to cook in.

We stayed for two nights and had an amazing time. The view was beautiful and clearly the best part. The house was clean other than spider webs that could have easily been cleaned up and even more spider webs out on the deck. The glass walls that surround the hot tub were filthy so watching the sunset from the hot tub wasn’t great. That is a detail that should have been address with such a beautiful view. The beds to me were uncomfortable and yes the house was outdated but that didn’t matter much to us or stop us from wanting to come back. Close to the beach and the cute town. We will definitely be back!

View, view, view and sound of crashing waves. Plenty of wildlife coming in and around the house-deer, pelicans, hawks, seagulls, and vultures. Enjoyed hiking the bluffs, going to beaches, going to the top of Point Arena Lighthouse, Kruse Rhododendron trails, tidepools at low tide, and the Gualala Arts Center. Excellent Thai food at Anchor Bay Thai Kitchen, great lunch at Rollerville Cafe in Point Arena, and the BBQ at Surf Market (tri-tip, ribs and baked beans) delicious!

Loved being able to take a dip in the hot tub, gaze at the ocean, gaze at the stars. Close to town too so grabbing any necessities was simple. Easy parking, well equipped kitchen. We didn’t have to leave the house for during the entirety of our stay.

Beautiful view out the ocean.
The house could use some renovations if the kitchen (old stove, no dishwasher) and in the bedrooms.

My wife and I stayed here for our first wedding anniversary, and we loved it. The home is beautiful with tons of space. Could have easily fit a family or a group of friends. The view is even more beautiful in person with the lovely hot tub. Super close to the shops and grocery stores in Gualala. The wifi was great, so much better than I would have expected. And honestly a great deal compared to other rental sites. We would love to come back!

Good basic accommodations with a wonderful view. Waves crashing are a great way to fall asleep.
The main upstairs bedroom has ants in the daybed area.

First of all, the view and location are hands down the best. This cute little home in Gualala was just as described. The bedrooms were comfortable and it was nice having one room upstairs for the teenagers to escape too. Having 2 1/2 bathrooms was also a plus. I would return here in a heartbeat. We spotted several deer, sea lions and starfish from the deck. We also saw ships, boats, and beautiful sunsets every night. The sound of the ocean was absolutely soothing. The kitchen was adequate and we had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Living room couches were comfy. yes they were ants, but that was also part of the rental description and it was not a dealbreaker for us. Some of the dressers were a little aged and drawers were harder to open, but it was manageable. Overall, I think this is one of my favorite rentals to date.

The view was magnificent but house needed some updating badly. Main downstairs bath particularly. Living room furniture very uncomfortable and all furniture mismatched:old. Main bed downstairs very comfy and loved the hot tub. Beautiful spot with some updates could be magnificent!

Beautiful ocean views! We came prepared for no dishwasher and washer as the other reviews had called it out. The kitchen is stocked for basics so we didn't bring much. Overall a great stay!

Clean, well-stocked with essentials, beautiful view, lots of light, and plenty of room for privacy for 2 couples.

This place has spectacular views and is walking distance to town. There was enough room for our two families which consisted of four adults and two teenage boys (14 & 17), although there were only 5 dining chairs so we had to improvise. The larger beds, King upstairs and queen downstairs, were comfortable, however the other two beds (double downstairs and twin upstairs) were uncomfortable and could stand to be replaced.
I wish I’d known there was no washer/dryer or dishwasher, although I realized afterward they weren’t listed as an amenity. We also brought our own BBQ.
You really can’t beat the location of this place though! We all enjoyed our time here!

Clean and comfortable. Watched dolphins, sea lions and whales. Some windows showed how hard the environment is on glass but the critical windows were fine.

We had a spacious home with beautiful views the ocean. We had everything we needed to be comfortable. I would stay here again. It was so fun to watch the wildlife.

This property has breathtaking views and you can easily fall asleep to the sounds of waves crashing. The kitchen is adequately stocked with pots and pans for cooking needs. Will definitely return to this property in the future.

Nice view but that is the only positive thing I can say. The property is not just dated but downright shabby and poorly supplied….no dishwasher, no BBQ, “fireplace” (silly little gas stove) that we found impossible to operate. We would never stay there again.

This was a beautiful property and worked perfect for our family. The house was clean and comfortable and the hot tub, with a view, was amazing. The only down side is no BBQ or access to a washer and dryer, but we knew that when we booked. The beds were comfortable and they offered plenty of blankets and pillows to get cozy. Thanks for a great stay!!!

Great stay. Looking forward to booking again. Would recommend a mattress cover for master bedroom suite... older mattress has stains that are unattractive even though clean sheets. Spa was awesome and great for viewing stars. House a bit dated and should really consider replacing some of the light switches as they could short easily. Proximity to ocean hard to beat. We came to the area to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday, to relax and to hear the waves pounding on shore... this property exceeded the desire. We were able to cook and enjoy our stay without needing anything else. We did being our own small BBQ... there did not appear to be one at property?
Overall a great stay. Didn't want to leave. Would be willing to help with repairs if we could stay more often?

Quiet neighborhood, gorgeous view. Yep -dated decor and one tiny tv, kitchen pots pans were scraped up, no disposal or dishwasher. But if you want to be outside with a breathtaking view and have a great base for exploring - this is perfection. Great water pressure. Gualala is the cutest. We tried Vue for dinner (great), Anchor Bay Thai (busy but great), wish we had discovered Tink’s sooner- section of heat & eat soups, lasagne looked nice. We did laundry one day at the Anchor Bay laundromat and had coffee across at White Cap with chess. Hikes around Sea Ranch were close and fun. Seals and the cool forests were our faves.

House is dated and I suggested to them to replace the very old mattresses and box springs but it was clean and the views were amazing!

I loved staying here, and…
It’s a perfectly good house perched above the ocean in a beautiful spot. It’s got a hot tub outside and plenty comfy inside. I could leave the review with that because that’s the most important part of my stay there. I will add though that the acrylic panels that protect the hot tub from the wind are so aged they make seeing through them difficult. Think of wearing extremely dirty glasses, especially when the sun is it just the wrong angle. I found myself thinking for this amount of money per night they should be replacing these pieces of plastic so I can see the beautiful view I came to stare at. So that’s a note for you owners to consider replacing those.
On a different note the lovely giant tree in the front yard is horribly overgrown with an ancient ivy plant that is threatening to kill it. You can see the tree is already dying and is ridiculously overweighted with likely a couple thousand pounds of ivy. It was super windy when I was there and I found myself hoping it wouldn’t blow the tree over onto my car. So I feel that the ivy is both a threat to the tree and to who’s ever near it if it ever falls over. That tree trunk is not designed to hold the weight of that ivy.
Other than that it was great and I’m really glad I got to stay there. Thanks.

Location, Location, Location
This home has a stunning location! It is a bit dated and lacks some not needed items like a dishwasher and BBQ, but the price reflects that. It worked out great for us!

Incredible views from the hot tub
LOVED the location and the views from the hot tub. Could have been cleaner (lots of spider webs by hot tub) and the home really needs some updates. Sadly they only gave us a couple towels to share with the group - when we tried contacting Vacasa - we couldn't get through to a real person. So we dealt with the towel shortage. Overall gorgeous place to stay, but Vacasa needs to step up their management game!

Beyond our expectations
We were just a little hesitant because of a couple of the reviews, but took the chance anyway with“the Look out point” .
All we can say is WOW!!!! it was beyond our expectations. The view from the pictures can not match the view in person. The house was clean and modest. 2 1/2 bath works great. The upstairs room is very private with lots of space and windows that open to enjoy the incredible view and sounds of the ocean. The main bedroom downstairs with its large window gives plenty of light and airflow to hear and enjoy the sounds of the ocean . The absolute best thing in that room is the sliding glass door next to the bed. It’s very private so you can keep shades open all night, we could actually see the ocean waves , moon and stars and all this from your bed. ( which was clean and comfortable) Now the little gas flame stove in living room was easy to use and kept us very comfortable. But once again the HUGE picture windows look out to the incredible view. We ate breakfast at the cute table looking out once again to the unbelievable view of crashing waves and interesting rock formations as well as the beautiful birds and dear grazing at the cliffs edge. The Hot tub is sheltered from the wind and was a total joy to use morning and evening.
The kitchen is well stocked and easy to cook in. The neighborhood is very friendly and fabulous views to take our walks.
I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could. We have booked several times with Vacasa and have yet to be disappointed. This place was a real find.

Amazing View and Hot Tub
My family had a wonderful time staying here. The view and sunsets were perfect and being able to enjoy them from the hot tub is hard to beat. I read ahead of time about ants so we made sure to keep all the food in the fridge but found that ants were definitely still coming in and not for the kitchen either. The rooms and beds were clean and comfortable. We decided not to cook much so we didn't have to deal with dishes but we found great options for dinner right in town.

beautiful views, functional house
The view, the view, the view. The hot tub with a view. Everything else was fine. Kitchen was functional (though a dishwasher would be a plus). House was fine though the ants are a thing. Not a lot but it seemed like there was always one. Finally, for this to be a better long term rental, laundry facilities would be nice. Drying towels is hard to do if you're in and out of the hot tub.

Nice view disappointing accommodations
A few hours after arriving, we were checking out the house and found that the bedsheets on all three beds were dirty with stains and body hair including pubic hair! Called the customer service line and since it was after hours they couldn't come over to change the sheets. The local office did respond the following morning and dropped off clean sheets and Vacasa also reimbursed us for the small cleaning fee they had charged. I appreciated the response the following morning. But in the end, you expect to have clean linens when staying at any accommodation especially during Covid times.
The house itself has excellent views and the hot tub is a nice addition. But it is old and run down.
