Great location and lovely fenced in yard for pets. Property had everything we needed including great recommendations for local activities and dining preferences. The Studio guests were fun too!

This adorable cottage had a beautiful aesthetic and thoughtful details that we really appreciated such as large coffee mugs for people who really enjoy coffee; a yoga mat; a nice fireplace space heater which made lounging on the sofa nice and cozy and soft linens on the bed.

We enjoyed our extended labor day weekend visit to Lake Placid. The Go Cottage was clean, comfortable and really close to downtown.

Go cottage was a lovely home, well stocked with everything you need. Beautiful decor and property. Downtown village of lake placid was not a reasonable walk and the road is heavily traveled and noisy at times.

The location of this property is perfect for someone with dogs - walking distance to Mirror Lake and downtown restaurants but just far enough that you don't have to deal with parking and traffic issues that come up if you are actually downtown. The furnishings are tasteful and there is an enclosed yard so you can let your dogs out without worrying. There is a convenience store a block away that has all the essentials and the major grocery is a 4 mile drive away.

Super cute fully stocked cottage
We loved our time we spent at this cottage with our two dogs. First the yard is so nice - an oasis set back from the road, fully fenced in with beautiful towering pine trees in the front. Inside the hosts thoughtfulness of providing clean white bedsheets neatly folded on each bed and a dog biscuit so that our dogs could lay up on the bed brought a smile to both our faces. It is exactly what we do at home so I found this a wonderful surprise. The kitchen is well stocked - several coffee makers! I loved the setup of the place for us. The dining room table is really nice! The kitchen setup was easy for me to cook - loved the window which I had opened up when I was cooking. The entire experience reminded me of the cottages we use to stay in when I was little. Such character in this home. The bedrooms are such that french doors separate the two rooms with only being able to get to the one bedroom by walking thru the other room. For us this was fine as we kept the french doors open and used the two rooms as one big room. Actually was kind of nice that way. The smaller room with the king bed and the french doors open was cozy. I will say it probably is not ideal for two couples traveling together but definitely fine for families. Best linens on the beds and the bathroom!!!! We slept great. Great yard for our dogs. Great vacation.

Nice Getaway
Enjoyed our stay. So nice to be able to bring our dog with us. Easy walk to restaurants. Ideal spot for a couple but could be challenging if more than two as you had to walk through one bedroom to get to the other.

Cute Cottage
In Lake Placid for a lacrosse tourney. Cottage was perfect location to a few great restaurants, The Corner Store, the lax fields and great hiking. Well maintained and nice appliances, fluffy towels and note/bottle of wine was nice touch upon arrival.
The king bedroom is a walk through from the queen bedroom. Bathroom is small, but updated. Comfortable for 3 of us. Only 3 windows with screens that I could tell, but I am someone who prefers windows open and air flow, so it was a bit stuffy due to hot temps the days we were there. Fans throughout home and an air unit in queen bedroom. Overall would recommend and I’m sure beautiful in fall and winter. Sharon was helpful and responded promptly with any questions.

Great place to stay in lake placid
My husband and I just stayed here for our honeymoon and it was wonderful. The cottage is set back from the road which gives it great privacy. The cottage is only a few mins from the main strip of lake placid but it makes you feel like your secluded due to its location. The cottage was clean and had a very homey feel. In the bathroom there is an antique tub and shower which always had hot water. It rained several days while we were up there and we had no problem just enjoying the cottage. We never had a problem with internet connection throughout our stay. We have nothing bad to say about this place and plan on trying to book again. Highly recommend.

My family of 5 and dog stayed in this great cottage tucked away from the main road for an extended weekend. It was incredibly clean, well-kept and roomy for all of us. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked and the yard though small, was perfect for lounging and allowing the dog to get some outdoor time. It was tastefully decorated -- enough so that it was warm and inviting but not at all overwhelming-- a must for small living. Coming from the NY Metropolitan area, the space seemed far larger and roomier than expected. It was located a short trek from the main street which is perfect if you want to avoid the crowds but still want the option of heading into town without inconvenience. There are numerous trails within walking distance of the cottage and a fantastic bistro just a stones throw away. Overall, a fantastic get-away location. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Gorgeous Cottage! We can’t wait to come back!
We enjoyed our stay at GO-Cottage, 2 bedroom bungalow so much! Beautifully decorated with a ton of attention to detail! Clean, bright, spacious! I was blown away by the design and feeling of the cottage. The photos are great but being there is so much better. The cottage is also set back off the road and is very private and quite. The beds are comfortable and everything was just perfect! We didn’t want to leave! We will definitely be back on our next visit to Lake Placid. Thank you again for a lovely stay.

Nice place, but not a great place.
My rating is 3.5 stars, but since that's not an option, I'm rounding up. Overall we had a good experience at Go Cottage. It's an older structure which has been updated in certain some ways giving it charm and it's pretty clean. It doesn't strike me as a home worthy of magazine features as mentioned on the web site. The property is well located with easy access to downtown and the many recreational activities in the area. It is on the main road, Rt. 73, but it is far enough up a driveway that you don't notice the traffic sounds. There are 2 units on the property, the cottage and an adjacent studio, so you may have a neighbor. Everything in the cottage is on the small side. It's hard to have more than 2 people at a time in the kitchen or bathroom (not that you'd want a group in the bathroom, but there is only 1). The "2 bedrooms" are separated by french doors with sheer curtains on them, and you have to walk through the first bedroom to get to the second. There's not too much privacy or sound filtering between the rooms. On the topic of privacy, all of the windows have sheer curtains and no shades to pull down. If the lights are on inside and you're standing outside, it's very easy to see everything going on inside the cottage. There is no real yard to speak of, a few pieces of furniture and fire pit in a very small fenced in area of fading grass and dirt. Sharon seems nice (we only communicated via email) and she's very careful to make sure that the cottage is treated properly by her guests. We arrived in the morning to hike, but check in wasn't until 3:00 and the housekeepers were going to be busy in the house prior to that. After some haggling back and forth, she allowed us to leave our luggage in her garage before we hit the trail head. I would recommend this property for a couple or small family. Two couples should only use it if they don't care about privacy.

Charming cottage in Lake Placid
This is a very charming cottage. Full kitchen and a nice kitchen table to accomodate friends and family. The place was very clean. As a side note, you need to go thru the second bedroom to access the bathroom. The Go Cottage was a beautiful place to spend a weekend with friends. We will consider this place again. Much better than some of the hotels around. And it's walking distance to the village. Really great location! The Go Cottage news letter will make you want to go back to Lake Placid!

GREAT PLACE!
We absolutely loved our stay at the Go Cottage and will return. It is charming and clean and you can walk to the main street. I would (and have) recommended this property to friends. Our poodle loved the home and we felt safe and were able to relax and go hiking.
