Awesome home on the Cumberland River! Private, with saltwater pool, hit tub, and outdoor fireplace. Just minutes to Downtown, near the Grand ole Opry.

The Cumberland River House (Permit # CASR-201528745) is tucked into a quiet waterfront street that is steeped in history, with several famous old school Opry Stars living nearby. We are on an private peninsula formed by the mighty Cumberland River in the front, and a 5 acre pond behind. It's quiet and safe here. There is very little car traffic so it's great for walking. We see deer, geese and turkey regularly, and enjoy fishing in the Cumberland and from the dock on the TVA managed pond out back. It's a special neighborhood with friendly folks. Yet, it’s just minutes from the famous Gaylord Opryland Hotel, Opry Mills Mall and THE GRAND OLE OPRY. Within 4 miles there are over 2 dozen Restaurants & Nashville’s biggest Water Park. Downtown is only 12- 15 minutes away, much closer than 95% of the waterfront streets in the greater Nashville Area. Two great golf courses are within 4 miles, and taxi service, Uber and Lyft are readily available.
This home features a salt water swimming pool (May-Sept), hot tub with a high privacy fence, large screen TV and a huge great-room with a pool table and a fun Canopy Bed for lounging or sleeping large groups. There's a large deck upstairs with views of the Cumberland River, and a large deck in the back around the pool and hot tub area. There's an outdoor fireplace on a covered patio just off the side of the Florida room that's perfect for entertaining or relaxing. If you like to cook, you’ll find a well equipped kitchen, with all the pots, pans, and all small appliances of home. Outside by the covered fireplace, there’s a gas grill with a side burner where you fishermen can fry up the day’s catch. (Fishing gear for 3 supplied)
Fresh, linens are provided on each bed. White cotton towels are also provided. And big beach towels are within reach if you decide to hop in the hot tub or pool.
Each morning you’ll enjoy your breakfast ( check out the waffle maker) and complimentary coffee in the glass & cedar Florida Room, or take a walk down the quiet lane and listen to the birds and the river.
In the evening… head to the downstairs master bedroom for a genuine Tempurpedic king sized bed, and an ensuite bath with a garden tub, and walk-in shower. Not to be outdone, the second bedroom upstairs offers a brand new king sized Simmons Superpillowtop bed and a tub/shower and vanity. The third upstairs bedroom shares this bath, and has a queen bed, and there’s also a V Cool queen size Canopy bed. And a smaller BR room also has a queen bed. So that’s room for 10 Guests at 2 per bed (We can handle 12 max in a pinch, but it's going to be crowded) We do also have a twin roll out bed and 2 super comfy inflatable beds which can be used in any of the bedrooms.
Other amenities include Washer & Dryer, , Cable TV with HBO, Blu-Ray player and Disc library, books, board games, and High speed WiFi, with Apple Airplay for streaming your tunes to the stereo system.

Perfect for what we needed. Celebrated my daughter’s 21st bday. Plenty of bedrooms and space for everyone. The pool was an added bonus. Check in was effortless. We had everything we needed.

This house had the best bed in the master that I have ever slept on. We did have a couple of problems. When we plugged in a hair dryer in the upstairs bath the breaker flipped and there was no access to the garage to fix it, so we showered in the dark all weekend. Also the top step to the pool was broken and one of the guest fell in instead of stepping in.

The neighborhood was great! The size of the home was really good. Lots of space! The furniture was very old and uncomfortable. The beds were comfortable however. The kitchen was very old, the oven door wouldn’t close all the way. But, we made it work. It felt a bit like camping. (We love camping)
We made s’mores outside in the fireplace.
There were deer every afternoon, which was so cool!!!

The location of this house and the neighborhood it's located in can't be beat. In the middle of Nashville but very quiet with quiet neighbors. We felt very safe here and it was very peaceful. Unfortunately it rained quite a bit during our stay so we didn't get to spend much time enjoying the outdoor amenities.
The photos make the house look much brighter than it is. There's also dings and marks on the walls, especially upstairs in the game room. One of the comforters had several stains on it. One of the toilet paper holders was broken. You can tell this house has seen a lot of use.
The hosts were great to work with and very helpful. They were quick to respond to inquiries that we had.

We checked in Friday and left Sunday. This was a great space for our group to get ready before going out and the hot tub in the morning was perfect. Thanks for having us!

This home was lovely, very clean. Very close to Broadway and of course the pool and hot tub are a Bonus

Few small issues but nothing bad. Great spacious well appointed home. Lots of wildlife seen daily, deer, turkeys, raccoons, groundhog. Front door opened with code but wouldn't lock with it, so we just went out the back door. If you want to fish it's down decking and climbing down side of mountain, but owner cannot control river dried up so if it rains a lot soon shouldn't be an issue. Close to everything, within 20 minutes mostly freeway drive.WE LOVED IT! Enjoyed the 3 decks immensely and would definitely stay again

This was a great location to stay at, we spent tons of time in broadway- but having a nice quiet neighborhood at night to relax and I’m the am was awesome

This place does not represent themselves correctly. The photos are nothing like the property. The property is seriously neglected, filthy. The yard is like a junk yard. One of the toilets didn't flush. If the house was cleaned properly the cleaner would have had to flush after they cleaned the toilet realizing it was broken. The house had dead bugs, cobwebs, used band-aids in the shower, open food packages from previous renters, cans out side were filled with old cigarettes butts, webs and dirt on all the decks, not from a storm, floats that were not useable, the cover to the hot tub old and moldy, the steps to the river were missing steps. The pool has a leak. They did send the cleaner to clean the cobwebs....seriously.....it should had been done before we arrived. We had to clean the outside to use it. Shame on The River House.

Amazing Getaway
My family (husband, 9 year old, 3 year old, my mother, and myself) stayed at this house in August of 2021 and absolutely loved it. There was plenty of room for all of us, and of course the kids had so much fun in the pool.
The house was very clean, and all the rooms were just as they looked in the pictures. Check in was easy, and communication with the owner was clear and prompt.
I took a walk one afternoon with my mom and 3 year old, and while there weren’t sidewalks, the street was very quiet and safe to walk along. The neighborhood was very peaceful, and felt very secluded even though you’re just a couple minutes from the highway and plenty of restaurants and stores.
My 9 year old already wants to go back this summer. I told her we could go to other cities, but she loved this place so much she wasn't interested. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Property was great. Nice quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable rooms. Only suggestion would be to have kitchen towels and dish cloths along with a couple of extra trash bags.. Would certainly stay here again on our next visit to Nashville.

Off Broadway getaway
We had a great time with our group of 9 celebrating my husband’s 40th birthday. The pool and hot tub were perfect for during the day or late night antics. I was worried our boisterous boys’ voices would get us in trouble with the Neighbor’s but happily we did not! We had groceries delivered using Shipt which worked great too. I thought the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was minimally supplied with not enough garbage bags or dishwasher detergent to last us just the 4 days we were there which was kind of a pain compared to some other places I have stayed in but it was nice they had beach towels and laundry with soap there to use. There was both an owner and a property manager - one day when we were eating breakfast one of our girls let the property manager in - she was there to check on the pool and she walked through the house to do so in the middle of all of us hungover eating breakfast- that seemed a little odd to me (especially that she walked through the house- especially with COViD at play) but they were both sure to smooth over any misunderstandings and were genuinely interested in making sure all was well. It was a little drive to downtown which was ok got this trip of bonding with friends, but I could see how it would be a detourant for some. We made some great memories!!!

Spent majority of the time at the house. 15 minutes from downtown Nashville, so very convenient.
Highly recommended Santa Fe Cattle company restaurant just around the corner. We ventured out quite a bit but with all the entertainment happening Luke Bryan and Garth Brooks concerts traffic was a bit overwhelming. Preferred hanging out at the house swimming or having a fire. Very nice private and peaceful neighborhood. Owner's provide nearly everything you need, just bring the groceries.

Bachelorette party getaway
Was great home for a getaway. Pool was dirty, spent 1hour cleaning that when first arrived. Wasn’t a big deal for our group. House has everything you could need. Wasn’t far from downtown and in a quiet neighborhood. Suggestion though, toilets run unless you shake the handles on them. Door code was super hard , you had to do it really really fast, not sure if that was the way it’s set up, but seems like some people might have trouble like we did. Great place, over all, clean and well stocked!!! Lots of room for everyone!!!

Felt like we were Home
It was an amazing family vacation. The owners has the place stocked up with everything we would need from the Jacuzzi heated up and ready to go to lumber for the campfire . We had plenty of areas to hang and socialize. Lots if things to do in the house. Also had all the appliances , pots pans, serving things etc.. you need to put together a big family meal. Absolutely a great place !

Great Nashville accommodations
We stayed at the property for a guys golf weekend. It is conveniently located near several great courses and close to Opryland. It is a fun house with a pool table, hot tub, pool, and outdoor fireplace. I would absolutely stay here again.

Another excellent stay! Pool was a little cool with the changing weather which was to be expected, but we still used it quite a bit. Also had a great time utilizing the other features- hot tub, outdoor fireplace, and walks along the quiet street.. A great place to get away!

Beautiful area to stay
This house was everything we were looking for when we planned out family getaway! The pool was a hit and perfect after being out in the heat all day! One downfall was that the hot tub was not working properly when we got there and there wasn't communication about this, which was a bummer. All in all, the house was very well stocked with everything we needed and more! There were 9 adults staying there and we didn't feel crowded at all! Great place to stay!

Absolutely Wonderful!!
So much to say. This will be hard. Clean as a whistle. We couldn’t even tell that pets had ever been at the property. Pool table, movies, pool, pool toys, firewood, a place to fish (A beaver has about dammed it up), I can go on and on. Very close to Elm Hill Marina where people were kind and money is refunded for bad weather and prorated if you have to come In Early for bad weather. All the kitchen supplies you could EVER want. Believe me, there is NOTHING that you need to bring.

Great Weekend Getaway
Enjoyed our stay and property was as advertised minus the fishing. Cant get to or see the Cumberland from the house. Fishing dock is not what you might exactly hope for if you really have fishing expectations. However, everything else is above par and makes for a really enjoyable time. I wiuld certainly recommend and would definitely revisit.
