This is a lovely renovated rock house my grandparents owned located in the 'Mayberryesque' town of Weaverville - Near everything Asheville!
If you just want to stay close to the house, Main Street has nice little restaurants and a coffee house/bakery with the best pastries I have had anywhere. Near Main is a beautiful lake with hundreds of ducks, walking trail, and playground for the kids.
Easy to find when you get here...only half of a mile from I26.
For the things you may need at home, there are two major 24 hour groceries, fast food and fuel within a mile of the house.
I have included a web link to my detailed Web Site. Make sure you give it a click and bookmark it so you do not forget.
You will only be nine minutes from famous Downtown Asheville where cultures meet among every dining and shopping experience you can imagine.
12 Minutes away is The Biltmore House.
6 Golf courses within 5 to 20 minutes.
Harrah's Casino is 45 minutes away.
Colleges: UNCA - ten minutes; Mars Hill College - ten minutes.
Blue Ridge Parkway - four entrances (one is ten minutes, the other is just 15); Dollywood - 1.5 hours; two Ski Slopes. One just 20 minutes away. Hot Springs Mineral Spas are only 25 minutes away. Airport, 25 miles. There is even an Asheville City Bus Stop just one block away if you would rather someone else drive you.

Not quiet at all. On major truck roadway. Old. Musty. Dangerous driveway exit onto the road. 1/2 mile from major Fire Department & Ambulance station. Very loud sirenes day and night.
I depended upon previous reviews as to quietness and proximity to downtown Weaverville for my selection and got let down. Fellow travelers, you can do better.

This quaint cottage was clean and check in process was easy. The location to Weaverville and Asheville was great! Downtown Weaverville had nice restaurants and shops if you want to stay close. There is a park where we took the dog to walk. Asheville was minutes away. Great location to do all the things you want to do. Communication with host was excellent. The only thing was it was on a busy roadway and there were no sidewalks if you wanted to walk your dog. There is a nice big property though for taking the dog out. And the park is a few minutes drive away for walking. This overall was a good place to stay!

We were quite content. Easy to get into Asheville and near great Weaverville restaurants. Also good for our dog. Eric was responsive and we had no issues.

Overall this rental is perfect! Perfectly placed and you are right off the highway. Several grocery stores around along with some tasty food places. The neighborhood is quiet. Eric the owner is very responsive if you reach out to him. Only hiccup with staying here was on check-in day. The rental was not ready by 4pm due to owners cleaning crew not able to come clean the unit so Eric himself had to clean. We were able to check in the unit at 5:15pm. Eric did communicate with me about the delay and apologized for it.
I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone wanting to be close to Asheville but not right in downtown. Asheville is a great lil town and I hope to go back again & stay. Also, biltmore estate home is 15 minutes or less away from this rental. Thank you Eric for a wonderful stay!

We had a great stay here in Asheville. My husband and I had our dog and were here for a small family gathering. The house was lovely and perfect for what we needed. It was conveniently located near the heart of Weaverville and was easily accessible to everything we were doing. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

The property was pristine. The house is about a mile from the small and charming center of Weaverville and about 10 miles from an entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We tried four restaurants and found them all quite adequate. The drive to downtown Asheville was easy running straight from Main Street to downtown Asheville--a distance of about 10 miles. We would stay there again.

My siblings and I had a wonderful weekend catching up. The cottage is lovely and the area beautiful. So many amazing nature experiences at you finger tips.

This was the perfect place for our fall getaway. It’s close enough to Asheville, yet just far enough away from all the hustle and bustle. Its only a 10 minute drive.
The cottage is great! Old farmhouse meets mission style; it’s very warm and welcoming.
The cottage house is well appointed and was so much larger than we expected. We appreciated the great kitchen & dining room, washer/dryer and the great stone fireplace. It’s perfect for a family trip!
Thanks for hosting us Eric! It’s was perfect.

Very clean, comfortable, well appointed cottage in peaceful setting, with Weaverville downtown a quick drive away. We enjoyed our “before school starts” get-away!

This property was very cute, clean and very well stocked. It was so convenient to Asheville, Marshall, Weaverville, Hot Springs, the blue ridge parkway and more! We had beautiful weather and it was nice to be able to walk around the property, very peaceful.

My son and I were in town to take a course at Wild Abundance; we just needed a clean comfortable place to stay. The cottage far exceeded our expectations! The house was incredibly clean! The neighborhood was quiet and conveniently located. I would stay there again in an instant.

The house was perfect for our family getaway! Very cozy and lots of space for everyone. I do have to say the beds were very comfortable! While we didn’t cook in the kitchen, it looked well stocked. I enjoyed all the plants in the house and the sun room! We will definitely return, maybe 15 minutes into downtown Ashville, and actually there were some good restaurants close by in Weaverville!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. We used the sunroom A LOT (morning AND night). Watched a little football on the tv, too! Ate at several restaurants (all really good) in downtown Weaverville while we were there - just a few minutes from the house. Visited the Biltmore and drove there in less than 20 minutes. Only a minute or so from the interstate, but we could not hear the traffic, even when we were outside. Loved "tromping" around the 9-acre back yard, too! Saw wind turkeys and several deer! So much to do nearby (artist's village, interesting restaurants, downtown Asheville shops) that we didn't have time to do ... so will definitely have to visit again!

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. Ages range from 61 to 98. Cottage was spotlessly clean! Communication with the owner was impeccable. Just great! Cottage is in a very convenient location. We loved our stay!

House was great. Clean, bigger than expected. Was too busy in the area to cook there so can’t say too much about making meals there. Yard was great for the dog. Thanks Eric!

My husband and I really enjoyed this cottage. It was very clean and cozy, and had everything we needed for our stay. Our lab enjoyed the spacious and lush yard as much as we did! The location is great, and we were very impressed with Weaverville. Our rental, check-in, and check-out was very smooth, and Eric made everything easy. We would definitely stay here again.

Cute cottage, close to everything we wanted to explore and more.
Eric allowed us total privacy but was there in an instant to answer questions. It was a great 2 weeks here!
Thank you Eric, see you next time!

This house has good spaces and a lovely yard, which worked well for me and my dog. Needs a little updating, as things are getting a bit worn, but everything works.

Our small group was very pleased with our stay at the Willson Cottage. The house very cozy, clean, and spacious. Asheville was just a short drive away (and Ubers/Lyfts were available for transportation). The house actually looks better in person than the pictures indicate, as it is more spacious than it appears and many of the appliances have been upgraded.

Perfect location to activities in Asheville. Ample room for us and the layout is great. Lot of land to walk with the dog or just to get some private time (family during the holidays LOL)

The location is very good as it is close to the local town and Asheville. The property manager, Eric, is really nice and polite. He gave us space but was available to answer any questions. It is spacious inside and wonderful getaway place. We will return!
