The unit is a studio with enough room for 2 adults and their belongings. The unit is on the same floor as the bridge to the Corridor, which takes you to the Zephyr Express. There is a ski rental shop in the bottom of the adjoining building. The pool, hot tub, and fitness center are well-appointed. Parking in the garage is easy. Our only complaint was a hedging accusation that we smoked pot in the garage when we showed up. Otherwise, this was a perfect rental in a perfect building for anyone more interested in easy access to the mountain than partaking in the offerings at the village (a short walk down the road).

This rental unit was perfect for our needs. It was convenient to resort, very clean and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and linens were great quality. The humidifier that was provided really made a difference and was much better than others in our past rentals. The owners level of detail in what she provided as well as her directions and information prior to our stay was truly exceptional.

As many have noted, Denise is a gem. She went out of her way to make sure my stay was a good one. She's very responsive to questions. She keeps her condo very clean. She's a gem. The condo is perfectly situated and is truly a ski out / ski in location. On her floor, the fifth floor, you simply walk down the hall where there is a ski locker room. Grab your skis walk right out the door next to it and you're on the Corridor Trail. Ski down the corridor trail to the Gondola. On the way back, take the Mary Jane trail to the Corridor Trail and you ski right back to the building. From walking about the condo door to the Gondola is 5 minutes. If there are one or two of you, can't go wrong. You could pack three into the unit, if allowed, but it would be tight. Parking was very convenient. The building as underground parking with several elevators. There are carts in the garage to help take up luggage, skis, groceries, etc. All in all, I would stay here again and I actually am--I've made plans to stay here again in a few weeks.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights during the slow time prior to thanksgiving. The condo was amazing, close to the resort/ski area. Short car ride into town, to other restaurants and shopping. We didn’t ski but you could ski in/out of the condo building. Hot tubs and pool were the best, especially in the snow. Condo is stocked with all the essential supplies, just bring food, grocery store is maybe 10 minutes away. The bed was very comfortable and furniture comfortable. We loved the balcony and the view! Book this. You will not regret it. The owner was experienced and responsive to text messages or phone calls. The entire building was kept immaculately clean. We will be back!

My husband and I, along with our two boys (6 & 4), stayed here over spring break. Denise is a great host and quickly responds to any questions!
Pros: Kitchen is well stocked and includes dishwasher, so it is easy to make meals in the condo, saving time and money. Denise supplies some spices, cleaning supplies, and toiletries that many other VRBO’s we’ve been to do not. Parking garage was very convenient if driving and came in handy after the several inches of snow we got. The hot tubs on property were clean and a great treat after skiing! We could walk to the base but it was convenient if the shuttle bus was running. A different complimentary shuttle for evening times was running on weekend evenings so we could eat at the resort and catch a ride back. We did not utilize the ski out since we had beginner skiers with us but it was easily accessible. We were able to rent a locker at the resort and store skis there.
Cons: The green line bus was not running 2 of the days we were there, so we had to walk when we did not expect to. Some of the condo could use some updating like window treatments and shower but nothing that affects the quality of your stay. The condo is on the smaller side. It would be comfortable for 2 adults with or without 1-2 little kids but I would not recommend families of 4 with bigger kids or 4 adults.

This property was amazing! Great location and so nicely decorated. Denise was so kind and easy to work with and helped us navigate the ease of our stay with where to shop, etc. The ski in/out was top notch! We could not have chosen a better place to stay!

I usually don’t like to write unpleasant reviews but felt I needed to be transparent about this stay. While I wish I could have left a higher rating, because the apartment was nice & well priced, there was a notable issue that I feel is important to mention.
Firstly, the host was not as receptive as we had hoped.
Heads up to future guests: the apartment needs the fireplace to be on at all times as it is the main source of heating during the winter.
The main issue we had was that we noticed the entire place smelled strongly of gas. We contacted the host the following day in case it would resolve, but it did not & she didn't seem to take the issue seriously. She only asked us if the Carbon Monoxide detector went off & since it did not, instead of offering someone to check it out, she invalided our worry & just asked if we wanted to leave. This wasn’t an option for us considering our ski vacation & bookings so we chose to stay. To mediate, we had to sleep with the balcony cracked open for fresh air, otherwise we really felt unsafe inside. At night the temp dropped to 10 degrees… so then the apartment would get cold but either way, we take being cold over CO poisoning any day. This situation was concerning for our safety, and it made it difficult to fully relax during our stay - especially at night - & I had a headache the entire time (which is not from the altitude as we had lived/been in high altitude already for a while with no issues). BTW - There was another review regarding this issue of the gas smell & it seems those guests were also dismissed of the issue. After our stay the host messaged us & confirmed that there WAS in fact a hole in the exhaust hose… so our noses were right and the host didn’t even apologize for this happening. She said that it is being fixed so hopefully future guests will not be affected.
Despite these issues, I want to acknowledge that the rental itself had some nice aspects. It was in a great location, perfect for ski-in & ski-out, and the amenities were adequate for our needs. There’s was also a hot tub in the condo complex which was nice after a long ski day & the apartment was just a 10 min walk from the village - maybe even less! Overall, we expected a certain level of respect and attention to safety concerns that we feel were lacking during our stay. I wish that I could have given this rental a better review and I hope that the host can take this feedback constructively and improve for future guests!

Loved the location and proximity to Winter Park. Really short walk to town and to lifts etc. Loved the restaurants in town but I would recommend you have a rental car as most places close at 6 pm. Ubers are nonexistent. You can take the bus as well. Denise was a great host, incredibly attentive and responsive. One word of advice; rent your skis at the Iron Horse Skibroker. It’s right in the resort and then you can ski to and from the resort and I believe they have valet there to. We rented downtown which wasn’t a big deal and we enjoyed the walk. We will definitely be back. Best skiing we’ve had and I’ve been all over!

Ski in/out with no elevator involved as slope access is on the 5th floor. Vaulted ceiling provides more spacious feeling than most studios with convenient appointments throughout. Furniture layout is perfect and so much better than many Iron Horse studios. Great all around unit with very responsive owner/manager.

This was perfect for us - agree with other reviews that it might be tight for more than two adults, but since it was just the two of us it was perfect. This was our first time skiing Winter Park and this location is superb, the closest possible to the base area. With the unit being on the 5th floor, which is the ski-in/out floor with the slope side door right at the ski storage area it was super convenient.
The pictures accurately reflect the charming (i.e. not sterile/cookie cutter) decor. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking purposes. The air purifier and humidifier is an extra nice touch.
Finally, host(ess) Denise is super responsive and helpful when we needed it; you can tell Denise really wants her guests to feel at home and taken care of.
Highly recommend and hope we can come back soon!

Affordable Ski-in Ski-out with Native American Theme
Denise has done a fabulous job decorating with a Native American theme that makes vacation a true experience. The ski-in ski-out location made it possible for me to continue skiing after my daughter was tired. Then she played in the pool till she was exhausted. The beds were very comfortable and we cooked our meals in the condo. Access to the slopes was a simple bridge crossing from the building. It was a wonderful spring break!

We arrived at the condo at 3 am and were very relieved to access the condo easily following the instructions that Denise provided. The condo was just as advertised. It was perfect for my husband and I - cozy with all the amenities we needed. It would be worth mentioning that Iron Horse has a recreation room that is really a good place to hang out if your departure is later in the day. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Denise as a hostess. She was good with communication and clearly wants to be sure her guests are happy with their experience.

Great little condo on the slopes
We had a great stay, location is phenomenal. Condo was studio style so wouldn’t recommend for more than 2 people. Everything was very clean, nicely appointed with full kitchen. Had a locker room for skis and everything felt very secure. Ski in/out is always great and is a very short walk to the base village. Owner was very informative and easy to reach if anything was needed. Would def return!

Firstly, Denise was a wonderful and extremely responsive host!
Our stay was everything we expected it to be. The air purifier and humidifier added to our comfort and safety. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with above average pans and knives. Finally, the amenities (ski in and out, hot tubs, heated garage) of the Iron Horse are great.

A little disappointed
We arrived a little earlier than expected from the airport. Check in clearly stated 4pm but we got there at 3. We made contact with the owner and asked if we could just put our luggage in the room and then we would walk around until we could check in at 4. She firmly said no which was a bit off putting from the start. Once we got into the place the owner was in there with maintenance fixing a carbon monoxide detector which was no problem as we know things break and it was nice chatting with the owner. When we first walked in I noticed right away a very strong odor that spelled like propane or gas. The owner said she didn’t smell it. The smell was very pungent and every time we left and came back in it would definitely hit you in the face. I’m almost positive it was coming from the fireplace that was also the heating for the apartment. Smelled as if there was some sort of gas leak. The place was small but fine for the two of us. The microwave was pretty dirty so we opted not to use it. There was a humidifier but when I went to fill it it was pretty disgusting as well so we didn’t use that either. The ski in ski out accessibility was ok. The ski out is a long cat walk that is pretty much not doable for my husband who is a snow boarder. He had to walk down. The resort was ok but expected more liveliness from peak season. It was a ghost town after 5:30 and was extremely hard to get around without a car. We were stranded our first night for over an hour trying to get a bus or shuttle back up to the condo. My husband and I are super down to Earth people and have lived in ski towns before and definitely are not super picky but we wouldn’t stay here again. Mostly because of the lack of a good bus system but also the smell and cleanliness wasn’t great.

We had a great stay here, it’s the perfect location with a short walk through the building to the ski slopes and a short drive to downtown WP for food and drinks. Condo was great for 2 people, would have been pretty tight with 4 people but you could make it work. Would stay again!

Very Nice Place
We had a great time in Winter park and this condo is exactly how it was described. Very cozy, had everything we needed to cook breakfast everyday and a few dinners. The location was ideal on the same level as ski in/out. Hot tubs were nice, underground parking was great. We will for sure be back.
