The view is amazing! This property is remote and quiet, but just a 20-30 minute drive to the cute town of Clinton, AR. This property was exceptionally clean, and if you like to cook there is a nice grill and plenty of cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc. The owner was very prompt in responding to questions.

The view of the lake was great both from the hot tub and the decks. This is a very secluded piece of property. The road in is very steep and narrow, glad we took our four runner and not my Dodge Dually. My wife and I needed a getaway for a weekend. We took steaks to cook and stayed at the cabin the entire weekend. There was enough room for another couple as there are two nice large bedrooms and a loft for someone to stay in if you have more than four people. The host was very courteous and responsive and we hope to stay with him again in the future.

It's an excellent location to get away from it all. Great view and accommodations along with nice furnishings make this an ideal place to stay.

My wife and I loved our stay here. The hot tub was great. The views fantastic. Beautiful and remote, surrounded by nature. We really needed a break and some "us" time. This was perfect!

Place was clean, owner was great, property was as listed. Only thing for us was we drove a lifted dually truck and scratched up the sides a hair as it’s just too narrow for a big truck, we were aware of the rough road etc just didn’t anticipate it being too narrow.. all in all everything else was as expected.

Wonderful place to stay with a spectacular view from the decks. Also enjoyed relaxing walks in the woods. Little difficult to find but once there was wonderful.

We celebrated our 10yr anniversary at Crockett’s Escape and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Stunning views of the lake (and sky at night). We drove the Ranger trail in our Jeep and found picturesque beachside views. The mattress in the master bedroom was super comfy, my wife would have loved to bring it home. We will definitely be back! Thanks again for sharing your Escape!

Wonderful property! Absolutely beautiful views in a quiet area of Arkansas. The manager was wonderful to work with. Would go back. If you go, I suggest driving a vehicle with moderate to high ground clearance and AWD or 4x4. The gravel road to get there, while simply a gravel road is bumpy and has some steep grades. You drive on it for about 5 min at 5mph. By no means a deal breaker. If it rains you will most definitely need 4x4 and good tires.

Lakeside Serenity
We very much enjoyed our brief stay at this little cabin off the beaten path. It was a little rough-going once we turned off the main road onto the gravel/dirt drive that leads to the property, so would definitely recommend a 4WD/all-wheel drive vehicle with higher clearance. Would also recommend to the owner some maintenance on the road to improve driveability. :) The cabin itself was very comfortable and had all of the things you might need, including all kitchen utensils, a bluetooth speaker, a selection of DVDs, and plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows. Beds were comfy, showers were hot, AC was cold. :) It was very clean, but we did notice a few cobwebs in the high corners. The view from the balcony was spectacular. We greatly appreciated that the owners allow the use of a 4-seater ATV to drive the path to the lakefront. Note that the trail is VERY rough. We have a teenage daughter with an aversion to roller coasters and she chose to get out and walk vs. take the slow and bumpy white-knuckle ride down the hill. The lakefront was pristine, with beautiful tiered rock ledges around the shoreline. It made for wonderful swimming and beautiful memories! We loved it so much we've added this lake as a potential retirement location.

Spectacular views
We booked this property for our 30th anniversary getaway. It is very peaceful and secluded. The views from the decks are fantastic! The sunsets are breathtaking. We were so grateful for the use of the side by side to ride the trails, especially down to the lake. The road to the house is a little rough, but very manageable. We were pulling a boat and made it. Just go slow and enjoy the natural beauty. Will gladly book this place again.

Gorgeous View!
What a wonderful place to get away from it all! The house & deck is elevated looking across the lake so the views are beautiful. Gorgeous sunsets too. Very quiet location! The house had all the amenities we needed plus a 4-wheeler to get down to the lake. It is a rough drive down to the house off the main road but well worth it.

One of the best cabin stays so far and recommended
Our host, Michael and Holly, were absolutely great in communication and some of the tips for the cabin once we arrived to settle in as quickly as possible. The cabin was nice and clean while the views from both the lower and upper decks were captivating. We would recommend this cabin for a stay to get away from the rush of city life and be able to enjoy the quiet cabin near the lake available for either fishing or boating.

This place was just perfect for the relaxation and get away we were hoping for. The location is tucked away for a secluded vacation. The view is incredible and the host makes sure you have everything you need (a keurig coffemaker as well as a regular one and even a large ice maker so you can fill a cooler before taking a fun ride on the Ranger down to the lake). The bed was very comfortable and there is plenty of outdoor seating so you can enjoy the amazing view. It is a bit of a drive to get to a small convenience store so make sure you have what you need if you don't plan on driving during your stay. We will definitely be staying here again!

Like the other reviews i read.
Like the other reviews i read, getting to the cabin is a little long because of the road. Once there you couldn't ask for a better view. Also. Thank goodness for the ranger owner lets you use. I have a fused ankle and i would not have made the walk to the lake to begin with. I will be going back

COVID vacation
We really needed a getaway where we could feel safe and this fit. Although a little deeper in the woods than we would have liked, once there the view was fabulous. From the lake in front of us to the firefly show at night the two decks provided a great viewing point. The house was well stocked with toilet paper, bottled drinking water, a great ice Machine, and plenty of games. There was a problem with the downstairs TV that we could not get resolved and the downstairs bed was not comfortable. They even provide a ATV that can be used to get to the lake which is a bit of a trip however without experience and the rocky, steep road we were not comfortable going. If you love being in nature, listening to the birds and watching sunsets this is a good place to be.

This is the second time coming to this property! We love everything about it! The view is spectacular, the owners are wonderful and available at all times, they have direct access to the lake where we parked our boat and they allow you to drive their side by side. Our family loves it! We will be back.

Wow. Nice cabin, nice lake view. Recommended 100%. My family and I enjoy a week in there. Communication with the owner was very effective. We use the ranger to go to the lake, very exited adventure driving it. Thanks Michael for the hospitality.

Beautiful cabin in the woods!
Enjoyed the quiet and relaxation in this beautiful cabin. The views were just amazing and every night the sunsets were breath taking.
We weren’t quite prepared for the rough road to get down to the cabin, but once we got there it was very nice. We Enjoyed our stay.

Gorgeous, secluded and relaxing!
The property is super secluded, making it the perfect getaway for a couple. My husband and I took a rare getaway without our kiddos and Crockett’s Escape was the perfect choice. The cabin is gorgeous, has everything you need for a wonderful stay. The ranger to get down to the lake was a really nice amenity (beware, it’s a steep and rocky drive down, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll be fine). Having the front gate locked behind us made me feel super safe. The views are unparalleled. We ended up leaving early and had a couple questions about closing up the cabin so we called Michael. He called us back right away. We have young children and probably wouldn’t choose to vacation here with our kids but we will definitely be back for another romantic getaway. Thank you so much Holly and Michael for sharing your home with us.

Our log cabin adventure
We loved the place! It was immaculate, and the views are world class. Because we have rented or owned several homes similar to yours in California, we were anxious to compare. You get a 10!
There is no way to change the road, once we left the highway. Suffice it to say it is THE worst road we've ever been on. Maybe the owners along the way can unite to get the ruts filled. Thank goodness that, once we got there, everything was perfect. My two dogs, small Coton du Tulears, thought they were in Heaven. I am VERY glad you had the 4-wheeler so that we could go down to the lake. Otherwise it would have been impossible. Thank you for being honest AND helpful about the experience!

Beautiful, serene, a perfect stay!
Charming home in a perfect location. We did a lot of cooking and found the kitchen to be well appointed, we lacked no necessity. This home has everything one would need for an amazing vacation. Spectacular views, a nice jaunt down to the water - but not too far, and kind/responsive hosts! Thanks so much for allowing our little family to enjoy your home!!
