This house had everything we needed and more! Beautiful view of the bay. The pool was perfect size for my grandkids and the adult children loved the dock!

We loved the location and the layout of the house. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets right off the deck. It was a perfect place to spend our vacation.

It’s a little far out of town. But that allows you to enjoy the peace and quiet. The host was friendly and helpful

This location was very nice. The pool was just the right size for my 6 and 10 year old niece and nephew. The area is very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely visit again.

Great house. Five separate bedrooms with each having their own bathroom, plus one extra bathroom. Laundry room, ice maker, oven, grills, two refrigerators, everything you would need. We finished our second stay here and it was great. Clean, quiet and well stocked. I highly recommend this property.

House was big and had lots of room for 3 families.

This house was perfect for my family. There were 13 of us (8 adults and 5 kids). We had best of both worlds, the beach just across the street and the lagoon in the back yard with a very nice pier for fishing. The pool may be small, but it was a huge hit for the kids. It was fully equipped with all the essentials plus extras. We really enjoyed our week and plan to return in the future!

This was the first time we had stayed in Gulf Shores, and we loved this house! The area was so quiet! Access to the beach was easy, and the pool was a great added feature! My boys loved to fish off the dock, too. The ice maker quit working during our stay, and the owner quickly sent someone to repair it. It was a great vacation!

It is a great lay-out for our 14 family members. Cocktail pool was enjoyed by all. Well stocked. With very few exceptions it is in fine condition. It had everything we needed and more. Beach access is a bit of a challenge, but we got there. Our group would like to return.

Home set up was perfect for our family. The kitchen felt like home with the all of the things we use in our own home....including a cajun feel. The dock is one of the nicest we've had access to at any of the properties we've been to. The only thing missing was a cover but there is plenty of cover on the back porch. The small pool was perfect for our little ones. This is an area that we have stayed in before and we really like the privacy and less crowded beach. The walk to the beach was a little farther than we'd hoped but overall a great week.

The property is as advertised, the pool and the pier are nice features. Plenty of room and a nice fully stocked kitchen. We made use of both the charcoal and gas bbq pits. No complaints, all positive, we had a great time.

We visited for 5 days in March 2023 with 6 adults and 2 kids. Everyone had a great stay. The host was very responsive.
The king beds were great & there were enough beds for everyone. The towels were plush, the TVs were great, there were plenty of dishes & utensils to meet our needs. The deck & pool were great to hang out, and the kayak accessibility was nice. There’s convenient beach access a short walk across the street. There were sand toys for the kids and enough tables inside to accommodate meals, games, & more. The layout worked great for us - half the rooms at each end with the common area in the middle.
There's some things we would have liked to have known before or could have been better prepped for our arrival:
1. On arrival, the house was warm. We got the A/C going & it was fine.
2. We found that the toilets didn't flush - the water had been turned off to each one. We turned the water on & all was good. Not something we felt that we should have had to do.
3. We checked for more toilet paper (then contacted our host) and found out that ONLY ONE STARTER ROLL OF TOILET PAPER PER BATHROOM IS PROVIDED. For 8 people & 5 days, would’ve been good to know ahead. Note to the next guests: bring your own TP.
4. We found the same in the kitchen, ONLY 1 STARTER ROLL OF PAPER TOWELS, and 1 STARTER TRASH BAG LINER, is provided.
5. THERE'S NOT SOAP AT EVERY SINK, so bring your own soap.
(To be fair, we contacted our host and she provided more TP and paper towels for us, but explained that that was not the standard for this rental.)
6. As we familiarized ourselves with the house, we found numerous dead bugs around on the floor. Now, dead bugs are better than live ones, but it still made us feel that it hadn't been cleaned well.
We checked the stand-alone ice maker and not only was the water turned off to it, but it was empty...except for a couple of dead bugs down inside. Again, we just didn't feel it had all been cleaned well.
7. The checkout instructions state, "Wash all dishes and put back where you found them. If we must rearrange due to items in wrong cabinets, there will be a $25 fee..." With 6 ADULTS & 2 CHILDREN using dishes, the likelihood of placing a dish in the wrong place was high. This felt like a very high expectation.
To be honest, we liked the rental, but felt that for the price, the little "extras" should have been provided and more attention given to the overall cleanliness and first impression given to us, the guests.

We had a perfect stay! Ms. Sonja was wonderful and so was this house! In the past we have stayed in high rise condos and the kids always had to have someone with them. Here, the kids were free to roam about and play unassisted by us except to walk over to the beach. It was chilly but they braved the cold and swam anyway, in the pool, lagoon and gulf all three! The home had plenty of towels, blankets and a well equipped kitchen which was wonderful because we cook nearly every meal. We had inquired about having fires because our littles love making s'mores. Sonya was kind enough to inquire with the city for us but discovered we could not have an open fire without a permit. Then upon our arrival she messaged that she had purchased a gas fire place. A wonderful surprise that made our kid crew crazy happy! We noted that in others reviews they complained about the distance to the beach. You can see the water in the distance from the porch of the house. If you have a window open you can hear it plain as day. The walk is literally a block to a spot where you can access the beach. Our ages ranged from 3-60 and had no issues. There are two nice grills, one gas and one charcoal to suit your preference and even a tandem kayak. The two fridges meant plenty of space and no making extra trips to the store as fridge space became available and everyone was tickled with the bonus of an ice maker. The beds were comfy and we never ran out of hot water even with a full house at max capacity for the listing. For those who have said that it's outdated or listed petty small things I just want to say this.......We are a large family on a tight budget. Kids in privates schools because public schools in our area struggle, two littles with a rare genetic defect that requires expensive care/medications and that anywhere we travel there has to be a medical facility equipped with an endocrinology team that can handle their condition, kids in sports that keep rising in fees, and just the ever rising cost of life in this country. Finding a truly great place to stay that is affordable and can accommodate all of us is hard to come by. This is a beach house in its truest form. It is not modern with all the latest updates. If it were it certainly wouldn't feel like home or a beach house to us quite honestly. It is family friendly and within easy access of anything you could need or want and we loved it. We highly recommend this property. Thank You again Ms. Sonya!

This home was the best rental we have had in the Gulf Shores area after several trips each year for the past 6 years. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked with all utensils, dishes and linens that you could possibly need. There was no need to pack any extras with us or make a trip to Wal-Mart to purchase the usual necessities to cook with for the week. The home has plenty of room for our individual families to break away and and have down time with out disturbing everyone else in the process. Mrs Sonya was amazing to work with and made sure we had no issues with the rental. The only down side is that we loved it so much that some of the adults cried when it was time to leave instead of just the kids!

This house has such a wonderful layout. The back deck is awesome! Plenty of space. The kitchen is great. There is plenty of seating for everyone no matter where you go in this house. We really loved the fact that there are two refrigerators! There is an ice maker that is not attached to the refrigerators and that was nice to have. The bedrooms are very nice and comfortable. It's a great house to rent.

This home was Fabulous!!! It was the perfect getaway for our large family. It was wonderful having all the separate bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen worked so nicely, especially the two refrigerators, as we had to prepare a large amount of food for our daughter’s wedding rehearsal dinner. We very much appreciated the high chair and pack ‘n play that was available.
The location was so tranquil and peaceful, but close enough to the extras we needed & wanted throughout our stay. We enjoyed the oversized deck, the pool, and appreciated all the seating available. The pier was in great condition and was a great place to relax even after dark. A few of us had a fun time taking out the kayak. Thank you for making that available. The kids also loved all the sand and sand toys to play with. However, there are a few things that could use some improvement. The fans desperately need a good cleaning, we actually cleaned the one in the bunk room. The stove needs to be upgraded. We had trouble with one of the burners and the knobs are no longer marked, so we had to guess on what was high and low. Oven looks to be in rough shape. Knives absolutely need to be sharpened &/or replaced. Had trouble cutting onions and cantelope, so ended up going to buy new ones in order to cut watermelon, honey dew melon, and pineapple. Also bought a larger cutting board, as the one available was rather small. We did not use the grill, but did notice it needed to be cleaned and the burners replaced. It was great option to have if needed though. Thank you for offering this beautiful home. Our daughter now lives in the area and we would love to stay again some time.

This house and the lagoon it's on was perfect for our stay! Location was awesome and the layout with each bedroom having its own bath was awesome. Only negative is the master tub wouldn't heat and I wish check in & out was digital instead of having to stop to get keys but otherwise everything was amazing! Owner was very communicative when I let her know about the tub.

We really enjoyed our week here! We had five kids with us ranging from 2 to 9 and they all really loved spending most of the day at the pool. The dock was also a big hit with everyone. We also really loved the back deck and the fact that it was covered. We spent a lot of time out there! The only (slightly) negative thing I could say is that the house was a little farther out from everything in Gulf Shores then what we were expecting, but overall this did not end up being a big deal for us. We all loved this house and would definitely rent it again.

Very Good
Most everything was as described, (except for the swings). The location is great, and there was room for all my family. The (5) bedrooms are great for a big family, (the beds need some attention, mattress are getting a little worn. Everything is in working order, and the one issue with a toilet was taken care of with a call to Ms. Sonya, very quickly. A great place for a large family to stay and un-wind. Thanks to the owner for the good experience for our family to all be able to stay in one house. Would stay here again if we are able. Thanks again for letting us enjoy our get away.

Perfect House
We loved the house! It was perfect for all of our families to come together for a vacation and the pool was perfect for our youngest kids. We would love to come back and visit again. The check in/out process is a little out of the way, but overall great experience. Sonya also was available to help with any issues we had asap.

Great Family Vacation Rental
Everything you need is right there. Very close to everything but far enough not to be in the craziness. Plenty of room for everyone not to be ontop of eachother. Beach is great and right across the street, it wasn't to crowded in our area at all. The Lagoon was perfect for kayaking, fishing, swimming and right out the back door. The pool is a little small for adults but the kids loved it and was a good alternative not to go to the beach everyday all day. Plenty of linens, fully stocked kitchen, we didn't miss anything. We bought groceries for a week and was able to store and cook everything.

Entire family loved this place
We had a group of every different age and the house was perfect. I think the house was even better than the listing. The beach access across the street was not bad. We fished off the dock every night. The open living room and kitchen was large enough to fit us all. The pool is small but totally big enough to cool off and our little ones loved it. Would love to stay here again.

Family vacation
We enjoyed our stay at Sonya’s place! It was as described on the listing. The pier to the lagoon was fun! The kids enjoyed kayaking and playing in the lagoon. We kayaked over to a small island and enjoyed the scenery. There were a lot of hermit crabs in the lagoon, which the kids loved. Also, the neighbors caught a baby sting-ray!
Sonya messaged me prior to check-in to inform us that there had been a storm and she would be by to replace the patio tables that were damaged. She was helpful and prompt on fixing that issue! She was prompt on confirming that the house had a pack-n-play for our infant, which was very convenient.
We asked the neighbors a crossed the street if we could walk under their house to get to the beach. Thankfully, they agreed and this allowed for easy access to the beach. It was a little walk (not the greatest for the elderly) but worked out great for us.
Overall, we were pleased with our stay and loved Gulf Shores!

Wonderful Place to Stay
The house, the pool, the pier, were the best parts of the vacation. We had our children and grandchildren with us and no one was bored. The kids loved the pool and would rather swim in pool than go to beach. The adults loved fishing on the pier. The house was roomy, comfortable, and all on one level. The parking under the house was spacious. Thanks for a great vacation loved by all!

Family Fun
This property was exactly as described and was perfect for our 12 family members.
Very clean and well stocked. We had a wonderful time thank you Sonya.
The only negative has nothing g to do with this property but the neighbors to the right had 4 large dogs that barked a lot especially every time we were out on the deck or pier.

Quiet and peaceful
We all enjoyed our stay. It was very quiet and peaceful. The sun rises and sets were very beautiful off the lagoon. The house was just as described, the host was very helpful and responsive. They helped solve any issues we had.

From LJones - Overall the place earns a grade of B- the proximity to the beach and the size keeping it above average. The bedrooms and bathrooms are plentiful. If you have a large tribe you will have more than enough room. Double fridges for food and plenty of parking. The decor was sufficiently beachy but not fancy. What lowered the grade was two parts. One access to the beach. Gulf Shores does not have city owned walk overs. Therefore you have to find random cut throughs to access the beach. The closest we found were about a city block away down a street that I could imagine could have some fast drivers during busy season. The closest crossover was not a bad walk but not sure if it was public. I could see a no trespassing sign go up any second. Also if your traveling with the full beach set (cart, umbrella, chairs, cooler, toys, fishing gear) you will have to lug those things up a huge sand dune. You will need strong people. As a mother who beaches with kids without help this would be a huge no - we would have had to drive to a public beach (which defeats the purpose of being across from a beach). But if you’re just going to stroll on the beach or carry a small chair you will be fine. The second reason for the lower score CLEANLINESS … the place on first look was clean enough. But upon closer inspection it looked like a rush job as the tub wasn’t clean and there was still hair on the bathroom floor from the previous guest I presume. We saw a few roaches. Not so many I wanted to ask for a refund. But enough that I felt the need to thoroughly clean every dish multiple times before using it. While a bug here or there is expected when at a place near the beach the real tell tale sign was the light switches. Yuck. I hated turning the lights on and off. They were gooked up with years of body fluids. They need a good toothbrush and bleach treatment. The lights in combination with our roach friends made me doubt all other cleanliness. The covers looked clean but also didn’t smell FRESH like they were just put on the bed. I loved the dock. The back deck was perfect for outdoor fun. The pool was cute and tiny but would be great for smaller kids. The space had all the cooking and eating utensils a large group would need. While it was nice the price was a bit high for the downsides. Sometimes rentals are are just rentals and others are 2nd residences. This definitely looked like a 2nd residence. A few tweaks could make this an A grade.

Excellent Property
This was the best place my brother and sisters with their spouses, and I gave ever stayed. We each had our own bedroom and bath, and there was an additional bathroom near the kitchen. The open concept living room, dining and kitchen were excellent areas to gather, cook and just hang out together inside. The huge porch and pool deck overlooking Little Lagoon provided great space to enjoy the beautiful weather we experience. There's also a great pier for fishing or just being closer to the water. Sonya is a wonderful host, and I'll definitely book with her again!
