Beautiful four season home located in highly desired Tanglwood Lakes Resort golf community of Lake Wallenpaupack. Watch the most beautiful sunsets over Lake Wallenpaupack on a large, spacious deck with patio seating for 8ppl. Fully equipped kitchen (pots, pans, coffee maker, utensils, etc...) with stainless steel appliances, outdoor BBQ, 8 person hot tub, fire pit w/adirondack chairs, Smart TV with surround sound theater system, wireless internet, HVAC, washer/dryer, wood burning fireplace, heated garage, free parking on premises, two decks, foosball, dartboard, numerous board games and DVD's available for use.

Tanglwood Lakes Community Association Amenities:
Beach – The beautiful beach on Lake Wallenpaupack is one of only 2 permitted beaches on the big lake. The beach is open to residents from Memorial Day to Labor Day with Lifeguards on duty from 10am to 6pm every day. The TLCA area includes a beautiful covered gazebo with seating and cooking facilities, a bathhouse with rest rooms, an open deck picnic platform and additional picnic tables and charcoal grills on the grounds. There is also a volleyball court and paved parking areas.
Marina – TLCA has a marina with 105 permitted boat slips which are rented annually. There is also a boat ramp for residents who choose to launch boats periodically for a yearly or daily fee.
Playground/Ball field – Tanglwood has a large playground for children in the midst of the community. At that location there is also a basketball court, a ball field and a handball court for residents to enjoy outdoor sporting activities. The basketball court is converted to an ice skating rink in the winter.
Briarwood Trail – Across from the playground we have a scenic 1 mile hiking trail around a beautiful stream to enjoy a peaceful walk in the woods. A variety of trees, animals and birds can be enjoyed in the lovely area.
Lake Tanglwood – This beautiful pristine lake is a perfect setting for canoeing, kayaking and fishing, with docks and boat racks at 2 locations on the lake. The docks provide a perfect location for fishing with children/grandchildren.
Community Center /Fitness Room – In close proximity to the 18th hole of the Paupack Hills Country Club, is the TLCA the community center. There is also a small library and Wi-Fi is available. The building also will soon house a new fitness center with top grade commercial aerobic equipment and a universal weight system. Outdoors at the center there is a picnic area with bocce ball court and horseshoe pit for residents to enjoy.
Tennis Courts – The community operates and maintains a newly renovated 2-court tennis area on the Paupack Hills Country club property. Equipment for “Senior-Friendly” pickleball is also available at the golf club pro-shop.
Paupack Hills Country Club – Nestled inside our community is the beautiful privately- owned PPH championship golf club. The Club offers TLCA property owners reduced playing fees and includes a convenient full-service restaurant.
Maintenance Dept. – TLCA has a small maintenance staff that provides weekly garbage pick-up, facility maintenance, grounds and road maintenance including winter snow plowing.
Public Safety – The Safety staff is on duty from 7a to 11p (1am on weekends) daily to enforce the Communities rules and regulations. These duties include speed enforcement to protect the safety of our pedestrians and golf cart drivers, enforcement of property maintenance guidelines and they conduct regular patrols of all locations to keep our residents safe and provide assistance as required.

We had a lovely end of summer getaway, with my sister and her 1 year old twins. The layout worked for managing the kids (gated the upper floor) with nice views of the greenery including regular deer visits on mornings. My family has come to that part of the Poconos for 3 generations, so the area feels like home. Sunset Haven matched our vibe perfectly.

This year, we decided to spend Christmas in the Poconos and what a great decision it was! Sunset Haven was a remarkable home with thoughtful touches everywhere. Our small group ranged in age from 8 - 78 and we all had a blast. From the well stocked fireplace to every kitchen tool and gadget imaginable, and from Golden Tee to the bunk beds, we had a fantastic stay. John and Amanda were gracious hosts, reachable at all times, and very understanding as we had a few hiccups when using the fireplace and hot tub. They were patient and helpful. I'd gladly return any time!

After a hectic summer we looked forward to some time away to relax. This was the perfect solution. The property was wonderful, communication with the owners was seamless and the location was perfect. It was also a treat that the fall foliage was beautiful. We would definitely enjoy returning any time.

Sunset Haven "A little slice of paradise"
First, I must emphasize that the photos of this house do not show how great this place is. It felt like a home away from home. It had everything you could need. Everything was easy to find. Kitchen was organized and fully stocked with any appliance you could need. Game room was set up perfectly. Great sound system, fireplace, fooseball, large tv, darts. The decor was really neat. It had areas to party, areas to relax and read a book or sit in peace and quiet, and areas to accommodate a group. We would and will definitely stay here again.

So Cozy!
We wanted a quite and peaceful environment to celebrate our 12 yrs together. We couldn’t have asked for anything more with this property. The hot tub was exactly what we needed! Very clean house with all the amenities. Our hosts were awesome. Overall great experience and positive energy in that home! Plan to return with the family!

Girls weekend
There were 5 of us and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The house is very warm and welcoming and fully stocked with anything you might need to make yourself even more comfortable. The HOT TUB on the screened in porch provided a perfect place to relax with a beverage and enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding area; including deer and numerous birds. We had an absolutely fabulous time and will certainly go back again !! John and Amanda are incredible hosts and certainly do everything they can to ensure a pleasureable stay !!

Loved this place. It’s even nicer than the photos. Gorgeous fireplace great hot tub. Master bath is gorgeous. The kitchen is master chef ready. Everything you could want. If there was one negative. There is only 1 tv in the entire house. So you all have to watch the same thing

Fantastic Long Weekend
The home is beautiful and the location perfect for us! Close to the golf course and club house as well as many restaurants. We visited in the fall and the trees were beautiful. We will definitely be coming back!

We could not have asked for a better experience! Wonderful hosts, amazing accommodations and a relaxing weekend. The house is clean and the area is so peaceful. Whether its relaxing in a hot tub, or taking a hike, this is a definite must for anyone looking to enjoy some time in the mountains. We will definitely be coming back!

Terrific friends getaway
John and Amanda were great hosts. Communication with them was excellent. The home is spacious, super clean, and in a great location. We rented a golf cart from the pro shop for our stay and had fun riding around the beautiful community and feeding the deer right out of our hands!

Amazing and Charming Wallenpaupack Retreat
One of the best vacation rentals we’ve been to! No details are spared and the amenities are astounding. Hot tub, darts, video games, foozeball, fireplaces, fire pits, playground. This place is awesome for kids and adults alike. 5 stars!!! Property managers are excellent and made sure we were having a great time!

Perfect getaway in the woods!
We had an amazing time at Sunset Haven. I’ve never stayed at a home which was so well stocked! The kitchen had all the essentials and more. Having some of the basic pantry items was so helpful as was having all the linens and towels. Our kids loved the play gym in the backyard. The highlight for me was the fireplace and hot tub and games. The recommendation for nearby restaurants were helpful. Our favorite was The Dock. This is a great place to go for some rest and relaxation. Thanks John and Amanda!

Romantic weekend away
It was a lovely house with a beautiful fireplace and great hot tub. Enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and lake in the snow. Saw several deer. Relaxed on the comfy sofa and enjoyed lake wallenpaupack. John was a great host and gave several good suggestions of places to visit and eat.

When I say this property is perfect, I mean perfect. The owners are so friendly and reliable. The house is fabulous. It can be a romantic weekend away or a family vacation. The home is super clean. The furniture was high quality and comfortable. The decor is beautiful. We cannot wait to come back in the spring. John and Amanda thank you for a perfect weekend. We will NEVER rent another property ever. We can’t wait to come back. Did I mention PERFECT? It is a perfect vacation rental. Book it !!

The house was gorgeous and very spacious. My friends and I were looking for a mini getaway from the city and this place had everything that we were looking for. Felt like part of the family
Sunset Haven fit our group very well. We made use of nearly every amenity that was part of the property and it really felt like we were part of the hosts family. The open pantry was great - there was even Worcestershire sauce to add in to our burgers, our 5 yr old loved playing Foosball with Grandpa and the neighborhood was great for walks. The house was clean, check in was smooth and there was plenty of space.

Long family weekend at the lake
My wife and I rented this wonderful home for a long weekend at the lake. It was a great time. The house was perfect and very cozy. Very clean and well decorated. The lake was just a short ways down the road. John and Amanda did a great job at making my family feel right at home. The hot tube was a nice bonus too. Beautiful views all around you. We certainly can't wait to come back some day and because of how great this house was we will be.

Amazing!!!
This property was amazing!! The cleanest place I’ve ever stayed at using the VRBO site! The property owners were beyond incredible and accommodating to our early check in need. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked with everything possible!!! My only suggestion would be to have a baby gate for the top of the stairs available if guests need it! Truly amazing!! 😁

A quiet home away from home
This Home was the perfect vacation spot for our family. Unlike many rental properties this place had EVERYTHING! Having linens and towels ready for you is a huge benefit, the kitchen was fully equipped and very spacious. Outstanding bathrooms and comfy beds. The entire home was very clean and beautifully decorated. There was so much to do between the hot tub, fire pit, and playing foosball and darts. Just being at this house was so relaxing that we had a hard time finding a reason to even go out to enjoy the lake. John and Amanda were the greatest of hosts, responding to any questions most expeditiously. They had the house set up for us in such a welcoming manner we felt right at home immediately. I’d highly recommend Sunset Haven! Looking forward to going back. Thanks again to John and Amanda for all their hard work on making our stay a memorable and fantastic one.

Great stay and great memories for a multiple family vacation!
My friends and our families had a great time at Sunset Haven. Unfortunately, the weather was not really on our side, but fortunately the house was very clean with a great layout and many things to do inside. So staying there most of the time for the three nights was still fantastic! We had three very little ones with us (3 & under), so the open layout of the main floor was perfect to hangout while also keeping an eye on them (plus we brought a baby gate to protect from the steep steps). The bedrooms are in the back and were able to block out the sounds from the house when the kids were put to bed. Two bathrooms with showers made it easy to get ready in the morning and the bathtub was good for the kids. Also, there was a huge jungle gym in the yard. The kids were able to use the swings and the small slide, but it looked like some sort of nest was in the large slide. It’s outside and I’m assuming isn’t used very much, but one small suggestion would be to give that a good cleaning if you know the guests have children coming with them.
In the evening, the adults often went downstairs to play games (there were a ton to choose from and we also brought our own) and of course use the hottub! So relaxing. We loved that it was in an enclosed porch! You get to be outside without any of the annoying bugs attacking you AND it’s protected from the rain. We were also able to split up in different parts of the house so the guys could have their time and ladies could have theirs.
Lastly, the kitchen was great and the star of the stay. Layout was efficient and there were plentyyyyy of pots and pans and utensils and sinks and condiments and spices! It was large and easy for multiple people to be in there at once to help with breakfast, lunch and dinner. We mostly ate at the large dining room table upstairs. In moments when it stopped raining, we grilled and soaked in a little sun on the balcony. We did have an issue with the fridge that was just bad timing and no fault of the owners. They attempted to get it repaired while we were there, but no one was able to come until Tuesday (we left on Monday). Things happen sometimes, but the owner’s response was very apologetic and they actively worked to fix the situation. The owners made sure we were taken care of and a possible big issue became a small inconvenience, which we were even compensated for. Much appreciated! You can feel safe you will have a good time with owners that truly care when choosing Sunset Haven.

This is a very nice house, well furnished and clean.
The owners were very welcoming with a chalkboard sign to greet us, emails before hand. The house is well equipped especially the kitchen. Plenty of bath towels . A great place to stay. The second bathroom is on the entrance level which has only the rev room, all bedrooms are upstairs on the main level. If people need to get up during the night rather than potentially falling down the stairs everyone used the main bathroom which made it noisy in the master bedroom. A suggestion would be to update the mattresses. We all slept ok but they’re a little tired .

Immaculate Home!
Everything about the home was perfect. John and Amanda went above & beyond our expectations as hosts - with a hand written note, a bottle of wine & a binder full of instructions and quirks the home has. Plus, a towel, shampoo & lotion on every bed just like the higher rating hotels do it! The kitchen has every tool and gadget you might not even think to bring. Both bathrooms are spotless. The home is beautiful, clean & cozy - the pictures do it NO justice. The dart board, foosball table & board games are in great condition - nothing is missing. You could tell they really love their home and they only want the best of the best for their guests. The hot tub was perfectly clean and we enjoyed the large deck the most by sitting out looking up at the stars late night. The HVAC works very well .. there were a few times we had to adjust it because the house would get too cold because of how strong it is. I'm already looking forward to my next stay at this amazing home!
