90% of the outlets don't work. Keurig machine don't work...dishwasher broken. Dirty grease pots and pans. 2 rolls of tp for 5 days with 8 people. No mini blinds anywhere in the living room ..so you can't watch TV. Furniture old and beat up. Kitchen table is awesome. Beach access is across the street..however...good luck making it back up the cliff without some help. Nice view from the deck. I'm sure this will be a nice place once the..I assume remodel is finished. Quiet private road is nice. Took forever for vacasa to get back to us about broken and non working issues. We prolly won't us Vacasa again...one and done.

We loved the house. The fire alarm at the lower level seemed to be low in battery so it started beeping around 5 am, we left it beeping for your cleaners to be aware. The washer didn’t work or maybe we just didn’t know how to turn it on. Overall it was a great stay and we will come back. Thanks again!

It’s as if this house is in the middle of a lengthy renovation that’s not yet complete but they’re still hosting guests. Piles of new and old building materials scattered throughout the property lot, including in the garage around the ping pong table. Seems like a fire hazard; especially if a brush fire. No hand rail on the left hand side of the stairs up to the main entry door exposing small children to a fall hazard. The railing that is there is scabbed piece of rough structural lumber that gave our 5yr old daughter a splinter. The downstairs fire alarm went off repeatedly every morning between 3-6am chirping and announcing “connection lost” which was frustrating. The exterior windows were incredibly dirty and the glass cleaner left at the property was empty so we had to go buy our own and wipe them all down to see out to the beach. Couch is wore out with torn cushions. GFCI for clothes washer was tripped each time we tried to use it. The location is great, Kiwanda Shores is our favorite but at this price point, guests should not have to deal with all these inconveniences especially being woken up like that. When we stated this in a text the response was to try and send in maintenance staff on the last day while we were on vacation.. how about fix this sort of stuff before guests stay so we aren’t having random people around while we’re trying to relax. There are better properties within Kiwanda Shores at a similar price point.

This house has potential but ended up being quite a disappointment. While it is close to the beach, the cleanliness was horrible. Upon arrival, we were greeted with an overflowing trashcan and three large black trash bags near the entrance. Inside, the property was dirty with hair on the bathroom counter, food crumbs on the kitchen counter and dining table, and a refrigerator that required a full wipe down. We had to clean almost all surfaces to feel comfortable.
Additionally, the property was poorly maintained. One bedroom had a closet stuffed with dirty sheets, one bathroom had dirty towels jammed in the cupboard, and we were provided with only half a roll of paper towels and four bath towels for a party of five. The furniture, while looking new, had seen heavy wear and tear, and the house was mid-construction with building materials all around. The ping-pong table was unusable due to the construction material stored in the garage.
The biggest issue was the lack of response or care from the VACASA customer service team. It was extremely hard to reach someone, and when we did, the issues seemed like they might be taken care of, but there was no record of our previous complaints. This could be a nice place, but it needs a change of attitude and management.

Nice property but the house is not finished and no lighting on the outside stairs and garage. Wasn't prepared at arrival time, beds not made ,no towels, chairs not in place.

We loved the location right on the beachfront road, the view out the windows, comfortable bedrooms and ample bedding and pillows, cooking in the kitchen (though as other reviews mention, bring your own coffee system), modern decor and spacious porch, living and dining room seating, plus extra space for the teens downstairs. We usually have to sacrifice something to get a reasonable price and this felt like luxury! Hope it doesn't go up next summer. Very easy check-in/check-out process and communication.

Can’t beat the location across the street from ocean front homes. Nicely updated throughout. Great entertaining space and deck. Bring your own French press if you want coffee they only have a Keurig. Bring your own paper products, we stayed over a week and didn’t have basics like paper towels (1) tissues (0), tp (3) very sparsely stocked. The kitchen has about everything you need to cook and bake utensil wise. We did have someone bring us sheets for the master bed too, they were just scratchy. We would go back.

Great house with well appointed kitchen, nice beds and linens. Recently updated and everything felt fresh and clean. Hope they will add a fireplace and a few more games but a great spot with room for everyone to hang out. Loved the visit!

Great location to enjoy the beach
We stayed here for Thanksgiving. Our time together was wonderful. The open layout worked well for cooking and dining. Beds were comfortable.
Remember, this is a beach house so things are weathered. Other reviews said there wasn't a lot of glasses, plates and cooking utensils, this is still true. I think there were 4 glasses when we were there. There wasn't any spatulas either. Our family adapts, so found ways to make things work, but these seem like simple purchases that would be helpful for other guests.
I will mention that the stairs seemed a little rickety for the grandparents. They didn't feel comfortable going up and down the outside staircase. They chose to use the inside set of stairs.
The house met our needs for being together as a family and enjoying the beautiful Oregon Coast, we will remember our stay for years to come.

Do not waste your time or money - you won't get either back!
NEVER RENT THIS HOUSE until they spend the time and money to fix it. Very Disappointing is just the beginning! It all started with the fact that my friend recommend that I read the reviews on this beautiful house I had secured in February for our Annual Girls Trip to Pacific City OR. 4 moms and 4- 16 year old best friends. I read the reviews. I decided since I am a celiac I had better bring my kitchen in order to not get sick. I love cooking so this was not a problem. Upon Arrival to home – we found that the home was clean but very worn out – it was lipstick on a pig. There were 4 holes in the walls from doorknobs had gone through the drywall, Towel bar was ripped off the hinges in bathroom, Light switches were either broken or not working at all, Light Bulbs burnt out, Door locks/knobs not working - locked us out of house, large window next to front door fell out of its holdings and dropped 4 inches until my friend caught it, Window handles were snapped off of their frames in 4 separate occurrences, Bathroom fan sounded like a freight train, the basement had a distinctive musty old smell to it, the garage was unusable for parking (like instructed in the listing) and then there was the Kitchen. Refrigerator Broken, Dishwasher pretends to work but doesn’t wash any dishes, No Pots to boil corn, Missing Coffee pot – used a 2 qrt boil pan to catch coffee in the morning, Cabinet Doors came off the hinges and there was only enough silverware to serve 4 people. After we moved over $700 of groceries into the refrigerator – it stopped working all together. At this point I had “McGyvered” everything that I could to make things work and get by but having the fridge not work was my tipping point. I called and Wrote to Vacasa. They were very responsive. Within the hour Will came by and tried to help. Said he was not able to fix things and would call his boss – Mason. Within 2 hours Mason Came over. Now – Mason and Will were great guys and I enjoyed working with them. They are NOT the problem here – the problem lies with the OWNER of this home. I was Charged $3700 for 6 nights. The owners have never put a penny back into this home. We all tried fiddling with the gauges to get the compressor to turn on but it just wouldn’t stay on – so after 2 days of texting mason the ever increasing temperature – 59 degrees was the highest.. Will and Mason came over to move the “Old” refrigerator upstairs and turned it on in the corner of the Dining Room. I now have 2 refrigerators – I put my meat (that had been on ice in coolers for 2 days) into the new fridge. Moved all the higher end foods to new fridge and kept the condiments and lower priced items in broken fridge. I lost 2 full days of being on the beach because I had to keep fixing crap in the house. 2 days I will never get back. There were 2 newer deck chairs on the deck and the other two were old rusty and broken. The Bar B Q grill didn’t work – ever. The dining room chairs were broken. Three of the tops of the chairs came off in my hands as I moved them to sit down. 2 days pass with no incidences. Then on the 2nd to last night before we leave, I hear screaming from the basement bathroom – There was WATER FLOWING from the CEILING onto the floor. My Friend was in the shower at the time upstairs. I called Mason to let him know that there is a water leak. He said he would have someone take a look- I said don’t bother- this is bigger than you! That night the toilet was starting to overflow - I had to plunger it on 2 separate occasions. If I could have stopped payment on my credit card for the rent I would have. I had a million-dollar view and a piece of crap house. This completely ruined my vacation. I will never get those days back. If you are a cancer survivor, you know what I mean.

Nice Overall Experience
We read the latest reviews before we went on this trip and prepared accordingly, we also called the management company to confirm the issues were resolved. They responded promptly and overall, we had a good experience.
The good - proximity to the beach, spectacular views, fast responses from management company and pretty clean.
The bad - we always worried when opening a window if it would fall out, not enough dishes for 8 people, and a large baking sheet that disappointingly didn't fit in the oven.
The ugly - a rat walked thru the kitchen on our last night. We were compensated for the unsettling experience and management said they would hire a professional service to inspect and take care of the issue, so that no future visitors would have that experience.
In summary, we had a nice time and I would book again, because having those views every day was amazing!

Nice Location
It was a nice location. Close to the Beach and all of the local stores. House had a GREAT lay out, but it did lack kitchen appliances like a coffee maker. It needs TLC but if you can over look that GREAT family home

This rental needs work. The management company was good and quick to get back with me with my concerns. I would verify with the management co on the condition of the house before booking.

The view of the Haystack Rock and Cape Kiwanda is stunning. The living room furniture is nice. The walk to the beach is short. The walk to Cape Kiwanda is easy either on the beach or through town. The house was reasonably clean.
However, the house heats up from the afternoon sun through the windows, and the heater won't turn off no matter the temperature setting of the thermostat. The ceiling fan sounds like a train. The barbecue was not available (which was communicated to us and was fine with us). The dryer was broken, which was a KNOWN problem to the maintenance person but was NOT communicated to us until we called to report the problem. My uncle had to take his load of wet washed clothes to a laundry mat the next day to rewash them and dry them. One window-frame was broken and barely held in place. The bathroom fan sounds like a train. The refrigerator sounds like a train. There were only 5 dining room chairs (instead of the 6 shown in the pictures). The downstairs bedroom window, which has NO COVERING, catches the full morning sun, so the kids were awoken extra, extra early. The front large burner on the stove top was only partially functional. There is no lid for the large skillet. There are no serving-size bowls. The dishwasher left food and detergent on the dishes.
The maintenance person told us there is a laundry mat in town near the kite shop (helpful, since Google said the nearest laundry mat was in another town) and said that he would request a partial refund for us due to the dryer issue. However, I have not heard anything about a partial refund as of yet.

Disappointing
Pretty run down. The downstairs smelled awful, like old urine. This was not expected at the price.
Electricity to the kitchen was off. Circuit breaker to the kitchen lights was tripped and we couldn't see in the evening to cook dinner. We cooked using Cell phone lights. We called the property manager and they said a tech would get in touch soon. We fixed it ourselves the next day when we had daylight to work with. By going outside to find the electrical meter we located the fuse box. It was buried behind junk in the garage. Tech called over a day later. The kitchen is terrible. The cooking utensils are very bad. We should have brought our own pans. Lesson learned.

We loved the location of the beach home! We weren’t so thrilled with the cleanliness (dishes were dirty, lots of sand in the entrance and around the sofas, and kitchen table and around the beds). Only 2 garbage bags were provided and only one roll of toilet papers.Home needs a lot of updates! Starting with the stove (doesn’t heat very well and food take forever to cook). Dinning room light fan makes a horrible loud noise, upper kitchen cabinets trim half missing and looks like it’s going to fall on someone). Their are no curtains in the living room. The grills were VERY OVERUSED and extremely dirty! Overall great location and the views were amazing.

This house is perfect for a quick getaway on the coast. It’s one house off the beach and you can see the ocean from the living room and hear the ocean at night. It’s nothing fancy, just a great location and comfy beds.

The location is great, the view is gorgeous, the furniture was comfortable. The home needs basic maintenance and a new cleaning crew. Missing baseboards and moldings, the home has multiple paint imperfections throughout, the ceiling fan in the living room makes a horrible noise- so we couldn’t run it, this made it extremely difficult to regulate the temperature in the home. One of the dining chair was full of sand upon our arrival, garbage paper and games were under the ottoman in the living room area. The down stairs has a peculiar odor and is far cooler than the rest of the home. The downstairs bedroom is missing shades/blinds on the window. The window by the front door appeared to be broken or loose. The bbq on the back porch is quiet the embarrassment and should be thrown away.Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The photos makes the home looked and feel much cleaner than it was- I expect wear and tear on rental type properties especially at the beach. What I can’t get past is the huge cleaning fees assessed to renters and then arriving at a “dirty” home.

This house needs a lot of upgrade and maintenance
The windows are all broken, not able to open or close. The kitchen needs more pots and pans. All of them are so old, scratched and some even rusted. No baking trays for use in oven. The lower level has no heating system, so cold when taking a shower and sleeping downstairs bedroom and bonus room. The garage needs to be cleaned, not enough room to park car. The blinds are missing in the living room. The house needs more lights. The kitchen and living room view is good, very nice watching sunset. Very close to beach access.

The location of this beach house and the view were awesome. It was generally clean and the large open living space that is great for family. Was wonderful having a washer and dryer to use during our stay as well! It has a ton of potential to be amazing. With all that said (and I hate leaving negative reviews), but there are quite a few things that could use attention. There should be a disclaimer that the bonus area downstairs has no heat with cement floors, it makes that space nearly unusable in the winter unless there was to be a space heater down there. It didn't work out as we had hoped for an additional hangout spot. The bunk bed room is very dark and could probably use another light (maybe a lamp) to help with that. We couldn't get a clear connection with the cable upstairs which is fine but would have been nice to have some DVD movies to watch instead. There were 2 in the closet, and one was an empty case. A simple/inexpensive upgrade to a smart TV in that room could've fixed that and would be a good addition. A couple of the kitchen chairs need to be replaced, there were several missing window coverings (not a big deal in shared space) but also there was one hanging from one side that we ended up taking down as it needed to be fixed. There were 2 or 3 glasses to use and the rest were mugs. Maybe buying plastic cups if trying to avoid breaking so at least there are some cups to use. We also had to replace a couple of light bulbs that were out. All of the above aside, we would stay there again but we hope they improve some of these things before that time comes.

Gorgeous view and had a blast. The view was wonderful and so close to the beach. Just a few problems with aging house and windows almost falling out when we opened them. A quick update would make the house great.

Decent beach house
Like other reviews the view and location are spectacular. The house is older and is in need of some upkeep. There were two refrigerators (one in the garage) but neither cooled well. The pans that were there were minimal and in poor condition. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean but old. They felt like motel quality.

Mixed review
Location and view are fabulous. The house is shabby and needs lots of attention. Needs better mattresses, linens and towels. The bathrooms are painted a terrible brown and paint is chipped. The showers are terrible. Downstairs bathroom was rarely used because it was so depressing. The room with bunk beds was terrible. The bonus room was renamed "The Kill Room" it was so uninviting. Dishwasher runs but doesn't actually work so we had to do dishes by hand the entire week. Vacasa gets mixed review as well. Terrible customer service prior to arrival - like waiting on hold for over 45 minutes. However when there was a leak in the house during our stay they were easily available and the service man was awesome. We all agreed as long as you focus on beach and don't spend much time in the house or look closely at anything in the house (or use too many dishes you must then wash by hand) you will have a nice time.

Location, location, location
The house looks a lot more polished in the pictures than it actually was. There were a variety of maintenance issues: broken towel bar and crown molding, missing window blinds/curtains, a window that can't open without falling off the house, a broken knob on the gas grill. Also many of the dishes in the cabinets had caked on food - i assume due to a not very effective dishwasher. But the house has a great layout that worked well for our family. The beds and couches were very comfortable. And you can't beat walking access to a great beach in a gated community. All that said I would stay there again.

Good location, house felt a little neglected
There was only 1 deck chair available (the other was broken), very few glasses in the cupboard and the grill is on its last legs. Luckily we had a lighter to light the grill and brought chairs. Otherwise we wouldn't have been able to use the deck
