About this apartment rental

A treasure located right on the beach, this beautiful 5th floor condo will be your favorite vacation place. Relax in the the chairs on the ocean front balcony. It feels like you're on the beach without getting your feet sandy. The living area features a bistro dining set, comfy sofa and recliner, ceiling fan, flat screen TV, Spectrum cable with Showtime and DVD. High speed WIFI.
A fully equipped kitchen allows you the convenience of dining in when you choose. Just bring your own food and beverages. Or use curbside from one of the many restaurants. We have a blender, coffee pot, toaster, dishes and pretty much everything you need to prepare meals during your stay. You will sleep like a baby on the king bed with comfy cotton sheets. The bedroom has a large wall mounted flat screen TV with DVD and a ceiling fan. Kids will enjoy the bunk bed alcove. There is a queen sofa sleeper with a memory foam topper so it's comfortable. Spacious bathroom has plenty of nice towels, beach towels and a hair dryer.
Easy self-check in using your own personal entry code starts your beach vacay at the instant you arrive. This condo is right on the beach just a few steps to the water.
Beach supplies, umbrella, chairs, boogie boards & cooler for guests to use are in the closet. If you like to hang out by the pool there are loungers for you to enjoy before or after you take a dip.
We are located toward the north part of the island between Clayton's and Wanna Wanna. Walking distance to many places but away from the noise and crowds.
The island has a free Metro bus that picks up right in front of the building and runs until 9:00 PM.
Pet friendly. Pet fee and Pet Agreement required.

Spring Break: Spring Break age requirement is 21, everyone staying must be at least 21 unless they are with their parents. No exceptions.
Security Dates: $25 ID Wristbands are required for each guest over the age of 10 during the following times: Spring Break Texas week, Easter weekend, Samana Santa, and Independence Day Holiday weekend. Please reach out for current security dates if you are booking around these dates. This cost pays for security that is hired during these times.
Rental Agreement required. All guests must adhere to the rules of the building. Please be considerate of others in the building.

This is our third year in a row to stay at the Florence 1. It’s located on the north part of the island which we find is less crowded and has a nice chill vibe, but is still within walking distance to wanna wanna and close to sea turtle Inc and the nature trail. The unit is on the 5th floor which gave us a great view of the beach and stunning sunrises every morning. The king bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and our two college guys crashed on the sleeper sofa and the bunk beds. We had no trouble managing with one bathroom as our guys tend to be on their own sleep schedule. The unit is updated and had everything we needed including an umbrella and chairs for the beach. It also had a blender which was a plus. The building has a lap pool and a hot tub which I really enjoyed and a boardwalk which takes you directly onto the beach. The boardwalk has several shower stations as well. I can’t stress enough how beautiful the views are from the units balcony. You are so close to the beach and views are unobstructed looking in all directions. I never missed a sunrise. It’s an older building, but well maintained. They cleaned the pool and hot tub daily. The unit appears to have been recently updated as well. The only issue we had was the microwave going out, but it was replaced during our stay. We’ll definitely be back!

This was my first time staying in this condo and I will definitely be back next year! Very clean and well stocked condo with a view that cannot be beat. Easy access to the beach and the staff keeps the building running and looking good.

The condo we rented was very convenient being right on the beach. The only complaint we have is the property manager does not communicate very well. The first day, right when we got there the toliet wouldn't fill up with water when we flushed it. We called her and she said she would send over someone. I asked her to call me before he was coming because we just unloaded the car and were going to buy groceries. She did not call and let us know anything. When we got back he was in our condo. We didn't much care for that. One night there were some storms and we were without power for about 20 hours. She couldn't help what happened with the storms but she could have kept us a little informed. But we never heard anything from her. We got our info from people we saw working on the power lines. Also the shower head definitely needs to be replaced. It only worked on the small hard setting. If we turned it to another setting it shot out everywhere. The closet doors are broken or need repaired in the bedroom. We couldn't hardly get them to open or shut, it was like the plastic on the edge of the doors needed some work. Inside the condo was a paper with a picture of a remote to work the TV but we never found that remote. The TV said it had Spectrum which I assume is a type of cable. We never got it to work at all. So If you go there make sure to have your logins for streaming if you want to watch TV.

This is our second time at this property and it did not disappoint! The beach front location cannot be beat. The patio five stories up all but eliminated any distracting noise, except the waves! We are looking forward to booking next year. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is spacious.

The condo and location were wonderful. However, the interactions with the Host were not great. The in-house instructions for the wifi were wrong. Phone call to Host got the corrected info. She blamed the error on the maid. Several non-working items were reported but never fixed. (ice-maker, night stand lamp, slow filling toilet) A repair person for the toilet was promised but never showed. No follow-up to check if problems were resolved. Would have to classify the Host as "non-responsive".

We enjoyed our stay. Best part was the patio facing the Gulf. Patio is small but that's ok. Wish there was room for more chairs at the table and on the patio, but we still enjoyed it. My youngest slept on the pull out couch and said it wasn't comfortable, but the rest of the beds were comfy. The place was clean. The neighborhood felt safe. I appreciated the boogie boards and beach chairs, which was why I booked this place. Easy walk down the beach to get drinks. Thankful for the hoses coming in off the beach.

This was ideal for my family. We wanted to be away from as much of the noise in traffic on the southern part of the island, and this location was ideal. My wife and I had the opportunity to stay 7 nights at this beautiful vacation condo! The ladies have done a wonderful job of making this place so comfortable. Cute place with an amazing view of the ocean. Really enjoyed the balcony and the closeness to the beach. It was nice to wake up and watch the sunrise each morning. The place was clean and manager was quick to respond to any questions we had. Check in and check out were both easy and hassle free. Would stay here again.

It was great we had a wonderful time and it was nice they furnished an umbrella and chairs to go to the beach. I will rent again but be better prepared. But my biggest problems was the rules for the towels I felt like I really couldn’t use them for fear of messing them up and getting charged for them . (FYI cleaning tip when you wash the towels with bleach and some dawn liquid dish soap it will take out any stain . )

This is a very nice apartment right on the beach! My family loved to wake up to the sounds of the ocean waves! Close proximity to the beach made for an easy walk! The pool was nice after a long, hot, salty day!

Beautifully updated property. Husband and I stayed 3 nights with our 12 and 13 year old nephews. They love the bunks. The one bathroom is very large with tons of bath and beach towels. Everything you need for the beach and so close to the water we could watch our boys from the balcony while they swam in the gulf. Kitchen is very well equipped and so nice to have an ice maker to load up the cooler. Have stayed with Judy and Laura several times now and will be back next summer!!

We had the best time in South Padre Island because of our incredible stay at this lovely VRBO. It was perfect for our little family of four with almost everything we needed right at our fingertips. The only cooking thing we really needed that they didn't provide was foil. Also Tupperware storage for leftovers just in case. Besides that everything was perfect! The bathroom and bedroom were spotless and we loved the extra amenities in the closet to use at the beach! It was so convenient to use the pool and amazing short walk down to the beach! The balcony was also the perfect touch that everyone in our family enjoyed watching the sunsets and sunrises from. We will hopefully be back again to use this same place next summer!!!

We had an amazing stay!!! The pictures do not do this property justice. There is nothing like waking up, walking out on the balcony, and seeing the beautiful view of the ocean. This condo was everything we needed to recharge and reconnect as a family. Thank you for allowing us to stay!!!
