Over the years, we have rented many properties in the Tahoe area. Some were better than others. Having said that, we look forward to staying at this cabin again in the future. The cabin itself is pure Old Tahoe, and the outdoor areas are wonderful, both front and back yard. Gotta give it a 10 out of 10!

You can tell that someone loves this house. The minute you walk in it's warm and welcoming. Well stocked with quality kitchen appliances, pans, etc. The bedrooms are cozy and the linens good quality. The backyard better than the photos. The only note to potential renters is that the noise ordinance is 8pm PST, not 9pm as the listing notes so there is no hot tub, backyard BBQ or other use of this beautiful property after 8pm which was a bummer for an August summer vaca in Tahoe...it's not even dark yet! Would I want to go back to this house? YES! For a winter stay it would be amazing! The owner was so very nice and responsive. So, while the ordinance changed our plans for this trip, we adjusted and still had a great time.

This place is a really enjoyable stay. It's well set up for families and bringing a dog. The front yard is spacious and the backyard is nice as well. The location is walkable to Hurricane Bay and a little further to the Sunnyside area. The owner is attentive and responsive. There's easy access to good trails from the Timberland neighborhood. Arguably the only downside is that you don't get access to any of the HOA beaches, like you would if you stay in Tahoe Pines or some place that's connected with Tahoe Park Association. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Great house for one family or a few friends! The area is awesome (you can walk down to the lake!) and the host is wonderful. Only two downsides were that the beds were all very uncomfortable, and there isn’t a lot of living room space for everyone to hang out together.

Cabin is on the rustic side as advertised but it’s kept clean so overall a charming property. Location is also convenient. Vanessa is very responsive and was accommodating. I’d recommend the place and would gladly go back.

It was truly a beautiful cabin experience and it had quality glasses, kitchen cooking appliances, quality pots and pans and nice towels. We felt like we were home!
An added benefit was the Christmas lights hung on the cabin. We made dinner every night and played lots of games. Great family memories made here. We look forward to staying here again.
A big thank you to the owners and their hospitality.
Sincerely Scott & Janine

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin. Cabin was clean, with well stocked kitchen and baths. Old style cabin touches in the home really make the cabin unique. Communication with the owners was easy and quick. Neighborhood was terrific, close to Tahoe City without the traffic. Highly recommend!

This place is really quite special. The home is a rustic cabin style but the fit and finish is very high quality so we were by no means "roughing it." The interior space is cozy but was comfortably adequate for our party of four adults and one pooch. Great kitchen that is exceptionally well-equipped with very nice appliances and everything one might need to cook - which we did. Nice bathrooms and a functional laundry with high quality W & D, and the outdoor space is also exceptional. We very much enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub (which was sparkling clean) because we arrived during a cold and somewhat rainy long weekend. Excellent location. Really cool place. Highly recommended, as they say...

Perfectly situated between Tahoe City and Tahoma, close to Sunnyside and lots of hikes/walking trails. The cabin is well appointed and the kids loved the fenced in yard with the hot tub. The property is flat with a big grass area to play.

This was our second trip after being at the cabin the year before and it did not disappoint. There is still a lot of snow in the area which didn’t allow for use of the front or back yards and limited the options for activities nearby. It snowed almost every day we were there and the cabin is a cozy, quiet place to spend the time. The kitchen was well stocked again which makes it so easy to prep meals. Thanks again!

Had everything needed. We brought most our food to cook and there was a space for everyone. Family of 5, 3 teenagers. Kids enjoyed hot tub. We were surrounded by 10 ft of snow, but location would be convenient for summer beach (walkable) and quick drive to Tahoe City for groceries and restaurants. We went to Squaw each day and that was only a 20 minute drive. Great neighborhood filled with great cabins and laid back feel. Cozy, comfortable, great kitchen!

The cabin is located close to Tahoe City and Palisades Tahoe making markets, ski/snowboarding, and other activities around the norther part of the lake easily accessible. Most importantly, the cabin has pleasant ambiance and cozy style.
The cabin is smartly managed and stocked. There are clear directions for cabin arrivals/departure. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and bathrooms are appropriately stocked. We noticed hooks all throughout the cabin that came in very handy.
Finally, the enclosed backyard was terrific. We enjoyed the hot tub and our dog got to play around in the fresh snow.
Local quiet hours were well communicated and correspondence with the property contact was quick/helpful.

I stayed here over Christmas with my wife and dog. The pictures of this place don’t do it justice. The house is decorated tastefully and has a very comfortable layout for gathering with family. The fireplace is beautiful, and the owners provide wood to burn for cold winter nights. The hot tub is fairly new and covered by a roof, making the hot tub accessible even during big snow storms. The beds in the master bedroom and downstairs bedroom were comfortable as well. Having laundry machines was also very convenient. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood that is great for walking dogs. The house is a ten minute walk from the lake, however, in winter, the walk is a little harder due to snow and ice. My wife and I plan on staying here again since it was such a great experience.

The house was very comfortable and had all the amenities that you need. The style was a combo of modern and old school cabin. Great backyard for lounging. Easy 10 min walk to lake. Would stay there again.

Had a great time. The neighborhood is quiet, and the house is very quaint. Nice cabin on the West Shore. Enjoyed hiking right out of the neighborhood and walked to West Shore Market for coffee every morning. Also walked and swam at the HOA beach every day. Great spot for a fun trip.

This home was amazing, the location was perfection and the communication with the owner was all so seamless! Thank you for giving our family and friends a perfect summer trip!

The house is in a perfect location to go North or South on the Westside of the lake. Nice restaurants are close to the house. Markets are close and easy to get to. Easy to get over to Truckee, which is a nice town with good bike trails. The jacuzzi is very nice and clean. We had a couple of minor questions about the departure procedures because the instruction book in the house, emailed instructions and posted instructions slightly differ and we wanted to do things correctly when we left. Unfortunately nobody responded to the question we sent the day before we left, but it didn’t negatively impact our stay.

Staying at this lovely home was outstanding - clean, comfortable, roomy, and warm inside (fabulous fireplace) ; room to play outside under the pines and cedars, with a hot tub, too. Highly recommend for all ages except very young and very old (stairs).

The cabin was exactly as advertised. It feels like a family cabin that you’ve been coming to for years and it was our first time there. Hopefully it won’t be our last. We were talking about coming back on our first day. The cabin was so clean and equipped with everything we needed. The area is quiet and away from tourists. It was the perfect escape from the city and had plenty of space for 3 adults and a dog. My dog loved the backyard and walking around the area. We barely explored Tahoe because we loved the cabin so much we just wanted to enjoy it and the beautiful neighborhood. We can’t wait to return!
