Beautiful hotel conveniently located in the city. You can walk to restaurants, shops, stroll the boardwalk, get on catamaran for a day or half day on the water and even do some snorkeling. You can take the boat right on the boardwalk across to Hotel on the Key and go swimming or venture out and go to any of the nearby beaches. The room were comfortable. I love the renovation that was done. Definitely would stay here again!
If you have a rental parking could be challenging.

If you decide to stay at the King Christian Hotel in St. Croix USVl, do not expect name brand hotel experiences as this is a boutique hotel with some amenities but they do not have microwaves in the rooms and there is no parking on site. It is sitting in the lovely area of CHRISTIANSTED and it is in the vicinity near shops, dining, and there are two event excursion or tour places there. There are a lot of things that are within walking distance but it is worth it to get a rental car and learn to drive on the left side. The management at the hotel was very accommodating as we did have to change rooms due to my sister having a disability and could not take stairs as some areas in the hotel you will have to climb the steps. I plan to come back and get treated like a "QUEEN" at the King Christian. SO if you want peace and quiet with a lot of sun rays , this is your place to go. Also getting from this side to the other side in FREDERICKSTED that has other lovely beaches is only 25 minutes. Please come and visit here as there is no passport required.
Wish they had onsite breakfast or give you discounts for getting meals close by ; need parking that is a must ; microwaves in the rooms would be great

When I arrived, the hotel told me I was in an “overbooked” room and sent me to their “sister hotel”. The sister hotel did not have a room for us so they put us in a room that was out of service. The doors were broken, the water pressure was next to nothing, there were holes and mold on the walls. The customer service was absolutely horrendous.
The entire stay was awful.

Staff was rude and complacent! No customer service qualifications. Need training!

It is a Historic Wonder! The location was perfect! As you step outside of your room history and culture floods your person. Breathing taking views surround the entire property. The lobby features one of my favorite animals and the champagne welcome was a beautiful touch. Sipping on my cocktail and taking photos in the peacock room added to the bright welcome. I purchased a peacock cup to remember my stay. I plan to put flowers in it. I liked the towels, clothing streamer, mini frig, microwave, and having a full length mirror was wonderful. I also liked the block out widow shades and good lighting. The signature scented bath products were a specially touch. Although I only stayed for only one night this time, the reading material recommendation was a nice keep pass through.
I know there is nothing that can be done about the stairs, because it is a beautiful historic property. So I will live with them. A writing desk with makeup vanity mirror would be nice. I feel bed side rugs or a rug under the bed was missing. The art in the room is beautiful, but placement and sizing is off. I would like it to be a like more boutique feeling.

The location. The pool amazing. The rooms were beautiful.
My reservation was booked months in advance and they gave my room away. Then tried to act like i had to book another room for a cost. No complimentary anything. I booked the deluxe suite. Months in advance and day of they gave me a single. I was with 3 other girls.

Everything about this property was AMAZING! We stumbled upon the hotel walking the boardwalk one evening. Sarah invited us in and made us drinks. We missed our flight and ended up staying here for the night. The architecture, design, bar & restaurant, location were 10/10 can’t wait to come back so I can stay here again.

Construction. Maybe next time the elevator will work? otherwise gorgeous.

The hotel breakfast restaurant was closed for most of our stay

Location is nice. Right on the boardwalk. Once you park (a pain) everything is right there to enjoy. Shopping and restaurants. But I have to say that location is everything. The fairy ride to the beach is free for people staying at the hotel. Don't forget to tip the boat captain. I'm sure pay is low and the short trip must be boring at times for him.
the hotels downtown do not have parking lots. You're left with an overnight lot that isn't bad at $5/night but several blocks away. It will be great when the construction of the new elevator is complete as works starts at 7AM

The location is perfect, the
property is being renovated, the rooms and pool area is beautiful. We got a text message every morning asking if they could do anything to make us more comfortable.
loved all of it.

The cleanliness this time was much better than my prior stay
The mattress, pillows and linens were great!
Tv did not work, nor did blue tooth speaker
Shampoo, conditioner & body wash were empty
Security gate did not lock
Most of the staff was beyond lovely except one woman gave me serious attitude when i tried to make a joke about gate key not working

Fantastic stay! We stayed in the two bedroom suite and boy was it fantastic. Two separate rooms for us and another couple, not only did we each get our own bath, but the suite included a washer/dryer, living room, kitchen with a stove and cookware, and the best part, a patio so large looking over Christiansted Harbor with the comfiest of all couches!

Breakfast is not included but there is a coffee shop attached which does a great breakfast with a nice view of the water.
The room was a good size and nicely furnished. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. The little terrace would have been nice if it had been furnished. The public areas were good but the swimming pool area was a bit noisy for me.
The hotel is very well positioned right by the board walk.
Taxi booking was very haphazard. The taxi I thought that I had booked for 5.15am to go to the airport did not appear to have been booked when I got to reception. It could have been a complete disaster as there is no other transport to the airport. The hotel was able to sort something out, but it was not good.
I was in the annexe which is still being renovated. The hotel needs to put a plant and some furniture onto the little terrace attached to my room (101) as it was just a bare, rather sad space. The door into the annexe is also very industrial and it didn't feel very safe. Hopefully, that will improve when they have finished,

location is great plus each room looks over the water & has been recently updated. The rooms were very well refurbished & are very comfortable & ac works well. The TV is large & there is a cool Marshal Bluetooth Boombox for music.
Housekeeping does an excellent job & everything was spotless.
All of the staff were very friendly & nice which is the best thing of any hotel.
The attached restaurant is expensive & not so great yet there’s many good one’s close by.
The fact that you are billed $100.00 if you are one minute past checkout time (11am) is ridiculous as are other rules that you have to initial & sign before checking in so keep track of time. Never have had to do that anywhere outside of the USVI.
All of the room doors are extremely loud when closed (easy fix) plus there are chickens out front so you may want to keep the porch doors closed @ sunrise.

The bed was so soft my husband & i wld roll to the middle. This made us very uncomfortable so we ended up sleeping in separate beds & didn't get very good sleep.

facility had no elevators? its a long walk from the main office to the room then to take the stairs to get to your room. poor receptionist had to carry .my luggage up the stairs.
Beds aren't comfortable they are so soft not firmness you sink into them .Also a bed view from the balcony would be nice. construction was going on and very noisy at times during breakfast hours.
