About this house rental
Birds of Paradise is located at one of North Padre Island's newest vacation destination resorts, Padre Beach View Townhomes. It features a 2 story townhome with an open floor plan on the first floor and 3 bedrooms plus a loft area on the second floor.
A full kitchen with a large granite island and everything needed for cooking and dining including plates, cups, silverware, and pots and pans is on the first floor. Also on the first floor is a large dining room table that seats 8 and a spacious living room to accommodate a large gathering. There is a cabinet bed in the living room that opens up into a queen size bed. A 1/2 bath and a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer are also conveniently on the 1st floor. Outside, there is a fenced in patio with a picnic table and extra seating.
All 3 bedrooms are on the second floor. The master bedroom has a king size bed, an en suite full bathroom and a private balcony with a stunning view of the beach. Guest bedroom #1 has a king size bed and guest bedroom #2 has bunk beds with a full size bed on the bottom and twin size bed on the top plus a pull out twin size trundle bed. A loft area with a day bed plus the second full bathroom are also on the 2nd floor.
TVs are provided in every bedroom, in the loft area and in the living room. Cable and wifi are provided.
This unit has 2 reserved parking spaces and extra parking is available along the street. Only one other unit stands between you and the beautiful salt water pool or you can take a short walk to the beach. Restaurants and stores are just a short drive away.

Great location. Excellent communication with manager. Was roomier and nicer than the pictures looked. Very nice and had everything we needed for our stay. So lovely to watch the ocean and the full moon from the balcony. Quiet and coneneint beach access. We will definitely book here next time.
Wondering if you need a golf
Cart? I would definitely biok the cart for your “on the beach” days for sure. Make it very convenient to go to and from without having sand in your car.

The condo was almost completely as advertised. The grill on the back patio was not the full size Weber as in the pictures, but a miniature (the size I had on the balcony of my first apartment). There were 2 TV's not working but the manager called me to say he was coming to replace them before we realized. You can in fact see the gulf from the upstairs balcony, but not the beach. We would definitely stay again.

Great location. Pool was nice. Lots of comfortable beds. The close proximity to the beach was nice and there is a great view from the upstairs balcony. The cleanliness could have been a little better. Overall a great weekend.

So we got to our condo on a monday. Called the property manager about tvs not working in two of the bed rooms. Both being kids rooms he sent someone over to check it out. They still could not get them working and said they would get them replaced for us. Never happened. The AC is also not working. Condo never got under 83. Had to run to walmart and buy multiple fans to make it barable. There were multiple thinga broken in this unit. The fridge is beoken in multiple areas. The couch recliner is broken. The kids room bunk beds is said to have a trundle for but there is no matress in it. The location is amazing and we did enjoy sitting on the balcony late at night. Condo over all is beautiful just needs some things updated to make more comfortable. The swiming pool is great for the kids!!

Impressions: DIRTY, disappointing, not what we expected for the price we paid, and wayyy overpriced!
Kitchen counter full of crumbs. Fridge took until the next morning to actually get cold. Bought freeze pops for the kids, and they never froze! Every single dish we used we had to hand wash it first. They were caked with food remnants. Which makes sense when the closing instructions say to start the dishwasher, but they leave no pods or soap to use in it. We stayed for 4 nights, and were left with 1 trash bag, 1 roll of paper towels, and 1 roll of toliet paper in each bathroom. Extras would have been helpful, especially for the price you are charged. We assumed that they would have beach vacation home items such as a wagon, cooler, pool and beach toys, etc. Not the case, there was nothing. This place has not had more than a clorox wipe swipe on any surface, baseboard, high touch area, or wall in a very long time. Again, I am on vacation, paying a very high cost to stay (much higher than the listed nightly price for some reason).... shouldn't it be clean? There were inches of dust on most surfaces, fans, and decor. Then couch was big, but was so dirty, it felt crusty to sit on. There were nails sticking out of the bunkbed. The kids room had a broken fan with no blades, and mangled metal. There was open food in the bunkbed stairs. There was food smeared inside the trundle bed. Was refunded the cleaning fee. Not good enough. I would never stay here again.

Fan for the third bedroom did not work, had to buy one.

Didn't get to check in on time due to condo being cleaned. Nails sticking out of bunk beds. Missing blades on one of the ceiling fans. Overall nice stay.

Overall the location was great for my family! Whenever I had a question the owners responded quickly. The beach was in walking distance which was perfect and the kids had a blast at the pool. Other than being a great spot, the only thing I’d suggest is get universal remotes for all of the TV’s. I would definitely stay here again.

My family visits these condos each year, for the past four years. You can see the beach from the balcony and having so many outdoor shower options nearby was nice just to wash the sand off your feet.
House is well stocked with equipment you may need during your stay and check in was a breeze.

My family, my dad especially really enjoyed our stay. So much so my dad is ready to go on another vacation next year!! This condo was perfect, really loved the giant island in the kitchen, to the open living area. washers and dryers on site. and a GREAT view of the beach for the morning sunrise and coffee. If you need a reset this place will give it to you.

We had a great time! Property had some wear and tear and could have been cleaner. They need to just have someone come in and do a deep clean/refresh. Other than that, it’s a great location!

Excellent getaway
The property was perfect for our large family. The pool was great and the location was on point, right by the beach. The property management was very responsive and incredibly helpful. Will definitely book again.

Great location, great complex
We enjoyed our stay! A little dated compared to others we saw but accommodating for 9 of us. You could easily fit 10-12 people. This unit is very close to the pool, which was really convenient. The unit is lacking some basic kitchen tools/needs so be prepared if you plan to cook. The showers had issues.(No pressure in one, clogged tub in the other) We had issues with the upstairs tvs and remotes. We gave up. The complex pool is nice but didn’t have lights when it was dark. The beach is close enough but we rented a golf cart and it was worth every penny. Overall, I’d rate the complex a 9 and the unit an 8. The issues were very minor compared to how great our trip was. We would definitely reserve in this complex again.

Perfect Beach House
My family had a wonderful stay. The location of the property is amazing and overlooks the ocean! Plenty of room for everyone and the large sectional was perfect for movie nights. We will definitely be staying again!

Awesome Townhome in Corpus Christi
PREPARE FOR STAIRS all bedrooms upstairs and they're a bit steep. Great Location, right on the beach (Behind the Dunes, the view is only Upstairs) make certain you get a Golf Cart there are trails everywhere if you explore enough and this property has easy access to the Beach on Whitecap Blvd. Don't Miss ISLAND JOE'S COFFEE which you can also visit on the Golf Cart. The Property was clean and comfortable plenty of furniture, towels and sheets. If you want to be on the beach, on a budget and have a large family This is the one!!

Nice walk to the beach
This condo is really close to the beach, which makes it easy to walk to and from the beach. The beds were comfortable and there was space for our party of 9.
The place hadn't been cleaned the night we arrived, so we had to wait outside until the owners finished cleaning it.

Good location
Good location but overall cleanliness and disrepair made us feel like we got much less than we paid for. Coffee pot was broken and still after 2 calls was nothing replaced dryer door broken and unusable. Many light bulbs out general cleanliness was not good.

Awesome Place
It was perfect for what we needed. It was literally right across the road from the beach. It had plenty of space to spread out and have enough elbow room. Kitchen had everything you could ever possible want or need. SUPER clean which was a surprise being right on the beach. Randy was FABULOUS on getting back to us on a few questions. Definitely rent a golf cart , we got a 10% discount through the townhouse.

Great place but...
This is a great location and plenty of space for a whole family. It's just the little things. There was no extra trash bags so we called the property manager. We could hear him arguing with some lady about where she left them in the condo. We told him they weren't there so he said he would send some over. We waited a while and no one showed up. I texted him, still nothing. We just left and bought some along with hand soap for the bathrooms, a sponge for the sink to wash dishes, and just little things that were missing. Like I said, this is a good place, but they just need to pay attention to the little things.

Family gathering for college graduation
Positives: very good location, great view from master balcony, extra street parking right across from backyard, nicely decorated, lots of indoor space, plenty of seating for gathering, super close to the pool, has full size laundry/dryer, plenty of dishes, plenty of towels, laundry basket in the master bedroom.
Negatives: no soap in the master bathroom, super thin cheap toilet paper, no dishwasher detergent, dishwasher wouldn’t turn on, only one extra kitchen garbage bag, fence latch was very hard to open.
Would rent again.

Great Location, Unit Needs Work
The location to the beach was awesome, as was the heated pool. The unit was spacious but wasn’t cleaned very well. In addition several of the blinds were broken, the light in the refrigerator didn’t work, the light in the master shower was out, as were several lamps in the unit. The floor molding and walls were dirty, and there were lots of places where it was evident they hadn’t been cleaned or dusted in quite awhile. And the front porch furniture was broken, or in very bad condition. The property says the master is a King bed; it’s maybe a Queen. That was really disappointing for us. We slept in the spare room with the King bed, which said was a Queen in the listing. Lastly, in the bunkbed room there were no knobs on the drawers, and wires were sticking out of an outlet that had no cover. The property manager was quick to respond with things that we needed, and replaced the outlet cover quickly. But overall the unit needs work.

Fam gathering
This is a great property with plenty of space. The pool and ocean access were perfect. The only thing I would mention is the property could use a good cleaning, lots of dust on the wood work. We didn't call on this as we just delt with it.

A hurricane was scheduled to come through and he gave us the option to cancel even at the last minute if safety prohibited us from staying. We liked the place, but we had an odd configuration of people so getting us appropriately sleeping was a challenge. Also, we had what I would call an exorbitantly high “COVID-19 cleaning fee” and I didn’t think it was clean, let alone “COVID-19 clean” the floors had dust bunnies all over corners and baseboards and under beds were obviously not even vacuumed in a VERY long tome. The Island in the kitchen was gritty with sand and dust and for 11 people the dishes were an odd assortment of miss matched shapes sizes and function. Not near enough silverware or glasses. Not enough hand soap (2 nearly empty containers in the entire house) for the (3) bathrooms and kitchen. They left us 3 trash bags which wasn’t enough for 11 people for 3 days. 1 dishwasher tab and a tiny bit of dish soap which we had to water down. I liked the decor, very bright and interesting sea life art. The location was great and our group enjoyed the pool.

Convenient but not clean.
Let’s just say, next time a few reviews say “the place could have been cleaner” I’ll take it more seriously and investigate further. Other than the property needing a good cleaning and some typical maintenance (toilet seat was crazy and pinched me, al but a few plastic arendock chairs had cracks as well that got my BIL in a sensitive area as well). If you’re the type of person (type a/boarder line OCD) you may have a hard time relaxing in this property. Howeve, we love the proximity to the beach, the unit was second down form the pool, nice view from the upper deck balcony. Close to convenience stores, etc for meal times made ask. Thanks! I’m

Perfect - Exactly as Described
Enjoyed the property. The cons are so small not worth mentioning. Great location. I was happy that there was easy access to the not-so-crowded section of beach where vehicles aren't allowed.
