Beautiful city great location beautiful and charming flat

Excellent location and nicely furnished with character.
It would have been nice to have some personal contact rather than having to sit down and read an instruction manual before being able to cook dinner on the first night after a long journey. The two small towels were inadequate for two people for a week. (There was a piece of soap in the shower that had been left by previous guests.) A few things in the cupboard appeared to be left-overs from other visitors eg half a packet of pasta. There were no instructions as to how to regulate the hot water. The bedding was far too heavy for the summer and meant that it was difficult to get a good night's sleep. The foul smell from the bathroom was awful. Once the door was opened it was impossible to stay in bed as it pervaded the room.

Lovely renovation in a very old building in the centre of Vannes and very well equipped.
We would of preferred a bath. A bit complicated initially a bit difficult to gain access to keys as it was dark. Steep stairs OK for us but not suitable for everyone. Parking in Vanne is difficult and expensive if you do not know were the free parking is. More pillows and towels for a 4 night stay.

A beautifully restored apartment in a charming medieval building. High quality finishings, appliances, bathroom, etc. Good lighting in the bathroom (shaving, etc,, no problem), and good ventilation. Host Daniele is amazing, so helpful and attentive, she is one of the best hosts we've ever had for a vacation rental. She provides complete, and detailed information for you (but you have to pay attention or you will miss something important, see below). Free parking recommended by Daniele is secure and worked fine, but is a bit of a walk (Daniele rode with us to park there to be sure we found it, and walked us back to the apartment!). Street parking is crowded but free at night (after 7PM and before 9:30AM as I recall) and on Sunday. Henrietta has a separate bedroom and lots of windows (bedroom and main room), nice for light and breeze. Quiet at night, especially with bedroom window closed. Patisserie, charcuterie, Monoprix all easy walking distance.
Very steep winding stairs to reach apartment, but manageable for a 70 and a 68 year old! You do have to pay attention to the detailed information Daniele provides. For example, she will tell you the code to get your key when you first arrive will not work until check-in time (3PM when we stayed). We missed that and could not get in at first. But Daniele has a helper in the shop below the apartments who contacted her for us, she came quickly to let us in. Just the beginning for the many amazing helpful things she did for us. Pay attention also when she explains the hot water settings.

This is a fantastic location and property. The owner could not have done more for us, she kept us informed before departure and even met us on the street outside when we arrived to hand over the keys and provide information. I cannot recommend this property highly enough.
I wouldn't have changed anything.
