Mirror Lake Retreat is the perfect year-round destination to enjoy both a little solitude and easy access to activities and conveniences in the surrounding area. This well-appointed retrofitted barn-style home includes all of the modern amenities - a soundproofed home theater with Dolby Atmos surround and a wet bar, streaming Hulu live TV, Roku, Netflix, Disney+ and xbox gaming in two rooms with dozens of games and high-speed internet. There is a large heated game room with classic video games, ping-pong, pool table, air hockey and foosball.
The main gathering area seats accommodates your full group with a large table and bar seating. The kitchen is fully appointed with updated appliances including a double oven, 4-slice toaster, ground coffee/K-cup coffee, automatic latte/espresso machine, hot chocolate maker, ice cream machine, waffle grill, two blenders and all the pots, pans, Pyrex and cutlery you will need for a snack or a feast.
If you would rather disconnect from it all there is a wood stove in the comfortable family room with comfortable leather couches. Luxury mattresses and bedding and a variety of feather, down, hypoallergenic and memory foam pillows ensure a peaceful night's sleep. There is a cedar-wood sauna and 120-jet 7-person hot tub for further relaxation.
The entire upstairs is a private master suite with a travel-themed office space and a separate balcony overlooking the mountains. The ensuite master bathroom includes a spacious two-head walk-in shower. The nautical-themed bunk bed room sleeps 8 comfortably and includes a realistic boat play area for the kids.
Summer: Now air-conditioned, this property has large fire-pit in the back near by a running creek for storytelling and s'mores. When it's lights out you are presented with a deep view of the starry sky and crisp mountain air, perfect for the two designated camping areas on-site or for the more adventurous, at one of the many campgrounds just minutes up the road. The on-property creek contains plenty of trout, but for those who want a sure thing the Fun Family Fishing Trout Farm is nearby. They guarantee a catch, will provide rods and even clean the fish for you while you wait. The entertainment area includes a BBQ for grilling them up for a healthy meal, and the enclosed yard with a large playground allows the kids to run around without having to worry about them wandering down to the river or the road unattended. There are plenty of summer activities in the area, including dozens of hiking and biking trails, canoeing, kayaking, boating and water skiing at the nearby Jordanelle reservoir. Head the other way and you're on the scenic drive to to Mirror Lake, but don't forget to stop at the waterfall! As a testament to the location, Mirror Lake Retreat was selected for an on-location photoshoot for Eider Sportswear.
Winter: This is snowmobiling and snowshoeing country, but several Ski resorts, including the Canyons, Park City and Deer Valley are less than 20 minutes away. The well plowed roads all winter ensure you are never snowed in. The place is just off the highway, ensuring year-round hassle-free accessibility. In the winter the National Park closes the roads, providing thousands of acres of pristine snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
Year-round:
Run across the street to the Samak Smokehouse whenever you get a hankering for the best Jerky and smoked cheeses on the planet. (We've tried quite a few). This place also carries high-quality organics. Our personal favorites are the homemade caramels and pomegranate licorice. Jen and Dave will certainly take care of you and also have canoes and snowshoes for rent.
And that's not all, just up the street is The Notch Pub, serving up fish and chips and delicious home made burgers and staging live entertainment and pool competitions year-round.
Quaint Kamas Main street is only 10 minutes away, where you can find melt-in-your mouth pizzas, home skillet breakfasts, and turn-it-upside-down malts.
After all that snacking, hit up the local rec-center to swim a few laps, float the lazy river, zip around the water slide, play a round of racquetball or climb the rock wall.
If exercise isn't your idea of a vacation, how about shopping? Park City main street and the Outlets are just a short drive away...
These are some of the many reasons we love our Mirror Lake Retreat. We hope you do too.
A 10% discount is provided to active-duty and military veterans and first responders (Police and Fire Department) with valid ID.
Notes from review feedback:
1. There is now energy-efficient air conditioning in the property.
2. The cabin was updated with a new tankless water heating system and backup system and has ensured no issues with hot water.
3. Please note that this property is close to the woods and national park. There will be the occasional bees, bugs, deer, moose, and mouse.

The property is awesome, but cleanliness was lacking in that the hot tub was literally disgusting. We tried to clean it, but it just smudged goo across the sides. The sauna was not operational and the coffee maker had a persistent red cleaning light on, and we were so grossed out we ended up going to buy gas station coffee. For how pricey this placee is, we just expected a bit more polish and attention to detail.

This was our second stay and it was just as great this time around. First time bringing little ones and they loved the backyard playground and the kid’s bedroom. Plenty to do for everyone with the game room and outdoor fire pit. We loved the backyard view and enjoyed the sound of the creek, very relaxing. Plenty to do with Park City and Mirror Lake close by, wonderful time.
Thank you 😊

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The kids loved the garage with all the fun arcade games. The yard was beautiful and had a great playground and fire pit we enjoyed using. There were enough beds for everyone. The upstairs had no AC which was a minor problem as well as not having any window coverings so it got light early in there. The location was great! We would definitely stay again.

Our family loves staying at this property. It is a beautiful home in a beautiful area. The owners are very prompt in answering questions and taking care of any issues.

Not only was the red barn clean and fresh, it had so many puzzles, games, Xbox games, a game room and fully equipped kitchen. We had plans to go up the mountain and do adventures, which we did do, but it was hard to pull the kids away from such an incredible experience with tons of entertainment!! There were plenty of bathrooms and towels. The hot tub was very enjoyable and I have to mention the back lawn. It was so green and inviting. We played in the back for hours!! We cooked a Dutch oven dinner and made s’mores, we also used the bbq which was functioning properly and large enough to cook up burgers for everyone! Fishing, tossing the football, playing on the play structure! We really did not want our stay to end!! We highly recommend this place! Bonus, it is close to hiking and fishing spots.

The cabin had everything we needed and more. The games in the garage kept the teenagers busy. The playground in the backyard kept the kids buys. The place was relaxing for the adults. Would love to stay here again.

We’ve been lucky enough to book this place twice now and it’s just such a relaxing space! The kids were entertained inside and outside the whole weekend and the kitchen was perfect for family meals. It’s a hidden gem of a home and we love it!

My various family members enjoyed a long ski weekend stay at the Red Barn.
Everything was even better than the description in the listing! The communication with the caretakers was quick and they solved the problems right away.
We cant wait to come back next year!

Great location and wonderful house. The guests prior to us had an accident with the hot tub and it was out of service. The property manager provided us with additional accommodations due to the inconvenience. We were not upset and loved all the other amenities of the house. Over all great stay!

We had an amazing stay. The cabin was everything you could expect. Lots of room for everyone. Loads of amenities to keep all busy. Far enough away to be quiet, yet close enough to be convenient. Really a special place- it might be our best vacation ever.

While searching the endless amounts of properties. The barn house kept standing out to me as a unique place to stay. I was a little nervous as I drew the short straw booking for 5 co-workers (1st responders, discount applied) The pictures and description are spot on.
Check-in was easy and communication with the owners were great. The house was meticulously maintained. Everything was in working order. The entertainment in the house is above 5 stars. Living areas were also amazing. I would book again and if your reading this you should too.

This is our second time staying and it was just as great. The kids and adults had plenty to do to stay busy and have a blast!

Property was amazing. We had a great time. The maintenance gentlemen was very responsive, when we asked for help with the hot tub. Would definitely recommend this property and will definitely return.

We checked in late and the maintenance man was there within minutes to make sure everything was all right.
We enjoyed everything about this cabin. Soaked in the hot tub, warmed up in the sauna, played in the game room, watched family home movies, read with the granddaughters, played a couple of board games, enjoyed burgers at Hi-Mountain and took family photos in the back - all in one weekend!
We were looking for a Christmas getaway with our boys before they spend the holidays with their in-laws. This was the perfect location!

My husband and I stayed at this amazing VRBO place with our grandchildren (ages 6 months to 14 years), and my friend with her granddaughter. We had a total of eight children and five adults. It was perfect! This place is better than the pictures. Plenty to do without leaving for all ages of children. And, lots of room so everyone has some space. We are already planning our next trip. There is a washer / dryer both upstairs and downstairs which was very convenient! Many games for children of all ages. The playground is within the fenced yard so you can watch your kids while relaxing inside. The fire pit was roomy enough for all of us. Plenty of spices to add to your dishes. Bottom line, we will be back! Book it because it might not be available when you want it.

The barn is just a STUNNING property with so much to do! Love that it sleeps so many, it’s perfect for a big group. We had kids ages 2-9 and everyone just had a blast! Can’t wait to go back!

We just just completed a 3-day reunion at 'Mirror Lake Retreat' with our adult children and 2 grandchildren. We had 10 total in our group and this property had everything to make our trip special. The property is clean, classy and comfortable.
The evening we arrived we played games in the spacious game room - by the way there are several additional games not shown in the photos including skee-ball, basketball, pong and air hockey. Later we enjoyed the fire pit for a hotdog roast and s'mores. During the week our grandchildren loved spending time at the backyard playground and running through the backyard (fully fenced for the protection of little ones).
The common area rooms are spacious and inviting with plenty of comfortable seating. The Kitchen is amazing and well appointed with nice clean appliances and most every accessory you need to create any meal. The theatre room is awesome - huge screen with surround-sound, and what the description refers to as a "wet bar" is actually more of a 2nd kitchen complete with a full-size refrigerator!
The bedrooms are so comfortable and cozy. The beds are very high quality - we all slept so well.
The host is a great communicator. I had several questions prior to our arrival which I sent via text. Krista's responses
were quick, complete and accommodating.
This is without a doubt our favorite experience at a short-term rental. We definitely plan to return.

Loved this place for an annual girls hiking retreat. There were six of us and could have easily accommodated 8 or more if we used the upper bunks. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. The second fridge in the theatre room was helpful as our group always has an abundance of food. There are 2 washers and dryers - one upstairs and a another on the main level. Hot tub was nice after hikes.
We had an issue with the fire alarm going off the second day we were there. Sam (maintenance/caretaker) responded quickly, so no complaints.
The wi-fi works well, but cell service can be iffy.
Wildflowers on trails at the Crystal Lake trailhead were extraordinary, especially for early August.
Highly recommend this property. Considering returning next year to explore more nearby trails.

We held a family get-together here and it was pretty close to perfect. With all the amenities there was something for everyone to do. The property is close to Kamas for food, groceries, and the rec center.

Had a great time with family. Enjoyed the game room for the kids. Lots of space to spread out and enjoy our time with family. Supplied well with what we needed to cook, play games, bathrooms etc.

Fun place to stay with a lot of things to do. I family had a really good time.

It was a great place to have a men's retreat for a few days - lots of games in the garage, table games and video games were played. The Sauna and hot tub were a hit although the hot tub needed cleaning. We had a razor and went on some trail rides that were open. We weren't far from town when we needed something. I recommend the place = we all had nice beds (9 of us) and enjoyed the stay a great deal.

We love staying here! Wish we could come more often. This is our second stay and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Thank you.

This is our second consecutive year staying at this property. Highly recommended— particularly for families skiing in Park City. Spacious, great game room, comfortable movie room, short drive to Park City. Everyone had a great time. Memorable trip for our entire crew.

The Mirror Lake Retreat was a perfect place for our business planning retreat! The theatre room was big and spacious and provided us the perfect place to gather and discuss the future of our business. The location is just far enough from town to feel like you’re in a secluded place but close to enough to easily access restaurants and groceries. Highly recommend this cabin!

We rented this property with 2 other families for spring break. Every year we do a ski trip together and this one ranks at the top of our list. The drive to the ski areas was very easy each day. The hot tub and sauna were a must after a taxing day on the slopes. The best part was that the kids stayed out of the adults' hair since there was so much for them to do! We had one issue with the internet but communicated with the host and they were very responsive to fix remotely and it worked fine after that. My husband had to work at the house all week and the office in the master was perfect for him. We are keeping this property in mind for future trips for sure.

Property is exactly as advertised, clean and well maintained. Our trip was a ski trip with friends. About 20 minutes to Deer Valley (without traffic) and 45 minutes to Sundance. Plenty of room and very comfortable.
5.0
We had an excellent time at the house. The drive to Park City is nothing, 20 mins tops, SLC is less than an hr away. there are activities all around the area. The house has a ton of space and so much to do. The game room and movie theater we a huge hit for the kids after skiing. The hot tub and sauna were a great way to relax after riding all day. A creek runs threw the back yard and the fire pit is right next to it. The ambiance it creates is amazing. There is a local pub less than a mile down the road with great food and strong drinks. You can walk to it. There’s also a pizza place in Kamas that serves legendary “cheese doodles” and a state liquor store. The house is its own little resort and everything you need is a five minute drive away. We definitely plan to stay again. Six nights wasn’t enough to even scratch the surface of all the things the area or even the house have to offer.

This place was exactly what we were looking for! The location was perfect for all that we had planned. The home was large enough for us to not all be on top of one another. Communication was clear and great with property manager/owner.

This was a great rental, it had everything we needed. We went snowmobiling and it was so nice to come back to the nice warm wood stove, sauna and hot tub. The theater room was awesome, this kept the kids entertained for hours, along with the large game room. We will definitely be back in the summer. We have rental a lot of homes and by far this was one of the best ones.

The house had tons of amenities and our family had a lot of fun. Communication with the owner was really easy and we will definitely be back!

We had a fabulous time at the red barn. We had a four generation gathering and the different amenities were a HUGE hit for all ages. The theater was great for a World Cup watch party; the game room was a hit amongst the cousins; and the fire pit was so lovely for the last night. The place was so clean and the property manager was super responsive and helpful. They were very fair and trustworthy. I’d highly recommend this rental.

Between the game room, media room, sauna and hot tub we had plenty to keep us entertained. The home was clean and nicely furnished. We had room for our party of 8 for every couple to have their own bedroom and bathroom. The host was very accomodating and we ejoyed our stay immensely!

Fabulous stay. We really enjoyed just hanging around the property and playing in the game room or outside and we really loved the theater room.

The initial advertisement, listed the property as 18 beds and sleeps 16. This was false advertisement . When I brought it to Krista’s attention, she fixed the advertisement on line, however made no adjustment to help me. She offered that tents could be set up outside for sleeping arrangements. This was not acceptable. This retreat that I hosted, was a “church” retreat for ladies, not a camping trip or family reunion. I had to turn ladies away when I found out there were not enough beds. I did not want the 13 ladies having to share a bed.
Also, we really didn’t appreciate having to strip our beds when there is a cleaning service and fee. In addition, we were not about to start the wood stove in the house, because we were required to clean the ashes after use. We did not want to risk ash dust creating a mess and then being charged an additional $300 fee. That to was very inconvenient. The electronic games in the game room-garage did not work properly. We could not use them. This too was not ok.
The home was lovely and the grounds were very nice.
Overall rating, we were disappointed.

We rented this red barn cabin for annual Fall family retreat. We had ages from 2 to 66. It was perfect for all of us. What you read about the description of this cabin is all correct. They thought of everything. We used ALL the amenities and everything was in excellent condition. You MUST rent this for couples, families, adults, anyone! We would recommend this 100 %!!

Thank you for allowing us to use your property, we had an amazing time. The house is very spacious with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The home theater room and game room were big hits for all of us. The backyard is wonderful and I really enjoyed the early mornings sitting outside, listening to the creek and enjoying the view of mountains. So
