Needed to be in NYC for six weeks of medical treatments. This apartment was big and comfortable and allowed us to bring the dog along!

Loved this apartment!
This is a beautiful apartment - bigger and even more wonderful than the pictures indicate! Great neighborhood with lots of restaurants, shops. Subway to downtown is only two blocks away. Walking distance to Central Park. Yolanda was a fantastic host, very responsive, communicative and considerate. We didn't want to leave and will stay again if we come to NYC!

Great apartment
Spacious, clean and close enough to Central park to enjoy the great outdoors. It was so nice not to be cooped up in a one room hotel room and also to have the use of an outdoor patio.

A historical gem in Harlem
I can’t tell you how wonderful this apartment is! This place is so much better than the description and photos imply.
A beautiful brownstone building on a quiet street, only a block away from subway lines and a 10 minute walk to the top of Central Park. The apartment is huge, with high ceilings and lots of light. Very clean. Full of original details, like the beautiful woodwork and fireplaces. Gorgeous artwork and furniture. Bookshelves everywhere. You could just sit in the comfortable armchairs, looking out through the windows, and read all day.
The fully equipped kitchen is filled with all sorts of supplies, such as tea, coffee; and basic groceries, such as milk, orange juice etc.
The vast, beautiful bedrooms each have their own bathroom; incredibly comfortable beds; beautiful, crisp linens; towelling dressing gowns; and endless fluffy, white towels. Each bedroom also has its own iron and ironing board, and hairdryer.
I could go on and on. Yolanda looked after us well and the check-in procedure was very informative about how everything worked in the apartment, and where nearby grocery stores etc. were located. She lives nearby, and is easy to get hold of.
We can’t wait to go back!

Impressive location and size for the money
This property is an impressive find for New York City. It is a very large flat blocks from Central Park, the subway, and a unique neighborhood. It was clean and quiet. The back patio was an added plus. The host met us on time and was very knowledgeable about the area. She left us many supplies. We appreciated the opportunity to bring our dog. One note of caution: despite the description of a hideaway bed and futon in the listing, the host discouraged its use. With all of this in mind, we would certainly return!

We would definitely stay there again!

Grand, comfortable and charming
We stayed in this lovely home for a few nights and would have loved to stay longer! It is a delightful property full of old world charm with modern updates and comforts. The bedrooms are spacious and well appointed with comfortable beds and beautiful linens. The bathrooms are updated and gorgeous and you'll want to take advantage of the steam shower and oversized jacuzzi tub. Upstairs in the main living area is a very well equipped and stocked kitchen. We were able to prepare our meals there with ease, as Yolanda had left us enough supplies to get started and then some. Yolanda graciously met us upon check in and she is an attentive host that ensures a positive experience. The location is excellent. Walking distance to Central Park, shopping, restaurants and two blocks to the subway. This is a magnificent brownstone, lovingly restored. It feels like home.

Huge, immaculately clean, gorgeous brownstone on quiet street within minutes of everything!
Our family of four stayed over Memorial Day weekend and could not possibly have loved it more. This is an absolutely beautiful property, from the period woodwork to the decorative fireplaces to the adorable garden courtyard. At 2200 square feet there’s a ridiculous amount of room to spread out. The street is quiet—traffic isn’t audible from inside at all. The rumble of the subway sounds distant. The station is just two blocks away, and from there it’s only four stops to Times Square. There are tons of restaurants and grocers within walking distance. Yolanda is a fantastic hostess. We can’t wait to stay again!

Beautiful and spacious apartment in a great location!
We loved everything about this beautifully maintained vintage jewel of an apartment which offered a generous amount of space in which we were able to unwind as a family after busy days in the city. We’ll have to come back when it’s a bit warmer to enjoy the lovely garden more. Comfortable beds, quiet, excellent location right off Lenox in the heart of Harlem, spacious, stunning architectural details, well equipped kitchen...I could go on and on! Stay here and you will not be disappointed. It exceeds all expectations!

Lovely home in a great location. Big, spacious rooms. Very clean. You really feel you're at home.
A grand home with fireplaces, brickwalls, high ceilings and lovely artwork. Location couldn't be better if you want to feel like a "real" new yorker and not just a tourist. The bedrooms are spacious and cozy, all at the same time. Big walk in closet helps keep the guests neat and tidy. Even though it was late november, we were able to use the private outdoor garden, which, in new york city, is a rare treat. You won't find this outdoor space in a big hotel in midtown.
The kitchen was well appointed and refrigerator was stocked with beer! There are grocery stores and drug stores nearby, so dont worry if yoy forgot somethibg at home. The subway is only two short blocks away. You can spend the day seeing the sights and return to a quiet neighborhood at night. Parking, like every neighborhood in new york, can be an issue.
If you're looking for an old style authentic charm for your stay in New York, then look no further. You found it here.

Wonderful week in NYC
Yolanda was such a great host, everything worked very smooth, from the welcome mail with plenty of helpful links to all the provided amenities and the personal tips she gave us over the course of the stay. It's always the little things that make a big difference and Yolanda provided a lot of them which helped making our stay very lovely.
The house is beautiful, ideally located - literally around the corner from the subway station - and all rooms are clean and very well maintained.
Plenty of grocery stores in walking distance as well as all kind of different restaurants. All my recent stays were in one of the hotels in Manhattan and this was a very nice and positive change of spending time in New York. Way more relaxed. I will definitely be back!
